"Workday HCM: Robust Tool for Team Management and Communication"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I use Workday HCM to manage goals for my team, and it gives me insights into how they are doing. I really appreciate how it lets me approve time off requests and provide feedback to my team based on their performance. It's a great tool for communication, helping me track progress throughout the year and manage bonuses and payroll all in one place. I like that I can provide an onboarding guide to new employees and show them tax forms and paystubs. It's also easy with Workday HCM to share experiences and feedback between managers and employees, helping improve things we need to work on and continue doing well. The setup was really easy, and it makes the onboarding process for new employees much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

I think that the app should encourage you more to use some of their features like, for example, job aids or career hub - learning, so we can keep improving as workers. Show you that that is available, probably give you some reminders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Workday HCM: Efficient and User-Friendly HR Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

What I like best about Workday HCM is its ability to bring HR, payroll, recruiting, talent management, and reporting into one integrated platform. It provides real-time data visibility, simplifies workforce processes, and improves decision-making through strong analytics and dashboards. I also appreciate its user-friendly interface and cloud-based model, which allows organizations to adapt quickly and continuously improve without complex upgrade cycles. Overall, Workday HCM helps organizations operate more efficiently while creating a better employee and manager experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

One challenge with Workday HCM is that while the platform is highly configurable, some business processes and reporting requirements can become complex to maintain without experienced administrators or technical support. Certain advanced reporting and integrations also require a deeper understanding of the system, which can create a learning curve for new users.

Another limitation is that organizations sometimes rely on multiple modules or third-party integrations to achieve very specific functionality, which can increase implementation effort and change management needs. Overall, while Workday is powerful and flexible, maximizing its value requires strong governance, training, and ongoing optimization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized HR Hub with Robust Data Synchronization"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I like that Workday HCM reduces inconsistencies in employee data across systems by serving as a central source of truth. It simplifies onboarding, offboarding, and role updates, which improves user provision and reduces manual work between HR and IT systems. I find the workflow automation and approvals well-structured, ensuring processes are followed consistently. The reporting feature is useful, providing quick access to reliable employee data without needing extra manual extraction from multiple systems, which is very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

One area that could be improved is flexibility in certain configurations. Some changes require more administrative effort or vendor support than expected for integration. Troubleshooting can also be time-consuming when data issues occur between Workday HCM and external systems. Additionally, some reports require adjustments to get exactly the needed view, which can add extra steps for technical users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Visual UI with AI Assistance That Keeps Work Moving"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

What I like most about Workday HCM is the UI/UX. Similar to how I use Canva, I really appreciate a clean interface where I can take an idea and put it into action right away. The dashboard feels visual and intuitive, and it doesn’t come across like “boring HR software.” Whether I’m using it on my iPhone or on my desktop, the experience stays seamless and consistent. I also like the AI/Intelligence features, which work like a virtual assistant by helping me find the right data or draft documents without spending hours digging through menus. What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

As I’ve seen with other platforms, the pricing is a major hurdle. It’s clearly a premium product with a premium price tag. The ROI can make sense for large companies, but for a growing team, the cost of adding seats or additional modules can increase significantly. On top of that, you have to factor in ongoing training, because the system updates so frequently that it’s easy for your team to fall behind on how to use the newer features. "Seamless Integration, Planning is Key"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I have found Workday HCM to be great for HR and Payroll. As an end user, the options are clear and easy to use. As an admin, I appreciate the platform's ability to integrate with almost any platform, which has been incredibly useful. The feature I relied on most was the sync with Okta for end user provisioning. The ability to integrate with most major platforms is something I like most about Workday HCM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

Because the platform has the ability to integrate with HR, Finance, and Telnet platforms, admins really need to plan what is expected on the user experience side, or you risk overcomplicating and overwhelming them with too many options. Workday should provide a more robust admin support portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think Workday HCM is pretty simple and intuitive. It's easy to use, and I can manage a lot of data within it. What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

I think there certainly could be integration of AI into it. It still feels like a bit of a primitive platform. It could probably be improved with AI capabilities, reporting capabilities, and integration with other tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Training Management, Needs More Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I appreciated the modules in Workday HCM, especially for our learning platform; it was easy to track that people were taking their training and staying on top of it. I also liked being able to load reports based on ad hoc needs, and it was sometimes easy to get data even though I wasn't directly in charge. The product seemed to have been very categorical, which was useful until we moved to another system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

I find Workday HCM too clunky with lots of requirements. It takes a lot of time to load people during onboarding, sometimes it takes hours. I'd like to see more automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
