"Highly Customizable HCM with Robust Employee Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I like how we can configure business processes to meet our specific needs. We can add documents to review and sign, and create tasks that are specific to our employee types, like regular, part-time, and student workers. Internal HR teams can review and have tasks if certain criteria are met. I really enjoy setting up notifications as needed and being able to constantly improve the experience for our end users. What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

I understand AI is still growing, but Workday seems to have over-promised AI features in the past, leading me to be hesitant that it will improve soon. I would love to see improved AI in Workday Assistant and Payroll processes. The chatbot Workday Assistant is very limited in what information it can provide the employee, often leading to frustration on their part and a need to contact HR anyway. Improved capabilities to answer more detailed questions would be ideal. The ability for AI in Workday to run audit reports on the back end and call out discrepancies, instead of our payroll employees doing this work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nice HRIS System to Use "
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

Easy to use, icons are nice and the platform is intuitive. I liked the platform compared to ADP, much more easier to use. They have updated a lot of the interface and the platform is easier to use and make updates. changing information, updating account info etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

The platform is intuitive and sometimes you can get lost in the system. You have to click different places to find what you are looking for. For example, looking at benefits and trying to select or un select these options it can be confusing. A lot of updates have improved this and the system is streamlined now. A very robust system that manages to do everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive HCM with Challenging Setup"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I like the consistent release updates with Workday HCM because there's always something changing, and they're always trying to improve the product that they've already released. It's fun to continuously learn new ways to be efficient in the work that we do and find new ways to connect our data to the decisions we make for our organization. The updates may require some work to maintain and stay up to date, but they're extremely valuable as they improve both the user experience and the administrator experience, allowing us to gain efficiencies across the board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

I think one thing that everybody tends to complain about is the recruiting. And it's not so much on the recruiter side. While I do think that there are some areas that can improve there. Like internal communications, notes, interview management, and, application management. I think a lot of that is on the applicant side because in order to really gather the data that you need to onboard someone, they have to create a profile. And if they're doing that in multiple organizations, then they're constantly creating new profiles, and having to submit a lot of the same information that would just be on their resume. And while I think a lot of that does come down to the independent configuration within the tenant, it is highly visible, and, I think that's why it gets such a bad reputation. Also, implementation is not easy at all. For my most recent organization, we had a lot of requirements that were not documented internally, and so it required a lot of discovery internally to figure out what our policies actually were, and that is really important to determining the requirements for the build. So I would say that for our group, the implementation was extremely challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature-Rich and User-Friendly, Despite Initial Learning Curve"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I like Workday HCM because it's super easy to use and very organized, making everything easier and smooth. I appreciate the amount of features it has, which makes it simply the best platform for everything, allowing you to do pretty much anything you're looking for. It's trustable and really good, which is why a lot of companies use it. I had the best experience using it for a long time, and I'm looking forward to using it again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

Well, sometimes it's a little tedious to enter and to find what you're looking for. But once you learn how to use it, you're good to go. And it was hard to learn at the beginning, some of the features, but after we learned them, it was amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Configurations, Minor Technical Hurdles"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I like the flexibility Workday HCM provides in configurations, automation, and integrations, as well as the ways we can expose data. The integrity part is pretty amazing. The data in Workday is very important for other applications, and having options to integrate using EIBs, data loaders, and other methods makes us more productive in using those applications. The flexibility that Workday HCM provides is key for the success of any organization [across all functions like Payroll, Time, HR, Talent] Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

I feel like the transformation in the technical part could be improved. Also, the configurations, email part, and alerting part could be better, especially from an IT maintenance perspective. On the Talent side, having detailed skills or using the job description to be predictive would be cool. The initial setup was moderate to high in complexity because of the functional understanding needed to configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless HR Processes with Real-Time Insights"

What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I love all the benefits that Workday HCM provides. I love how it has actionable analytics, and everything that I'm seeing is in real time. It's like my own little self-service where I can apply my knowledge of my internal work and see it all in one place. I can manage my compliance work with just my reviews. I can see how it helps with my time off and my performance. It helps me to monitor my benefits, which is really good. It also keeps track of everything that I want to do with my life cycle as an employee, which is amazing. It's literally so organized, and I can align all of my strategies for my work and my business as far as my long-term goals at the company. I love Workday HCM. "All-in-One HR Hub with a Clean UI and Smooth Workflows"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

Best is how everything is connected in one place. I use it mostly for checking payslips, updating personal info, and tracking time off, and the whole workflow feels smooth once you get used to it.

The UI is clean and and the search bar actually helps find things fast, which saves me time compared to older HR systems I used before. I also like how the dashboards show the important info right away without clicking through too many menus.

The integration with other tools is a big , things like performance reviews, training and job changes all stay in the same system so nothing get lost. Its helpful that updates happen automatically in the background and the system stays stable

The mobile app is also good for quick approvals or checking schedules when I’m not at my desk Overall it makes HR tasks feel less painful and more organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

tasks take more clicks than they should. Even though the system is clean, a few menus are buried deep and I still forget where certain options are.

The learning is a bit steep at the start, especially for things like updating job details or navigating the org charts.

Sometime pages load slowly when there’s a lot of data, and the mobile app doesn’t always show everything the same way as desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Payment Integration Yet Needs Better Hour Tracking"
4/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I find Workday HCM very easy to use. It sometimes automatically pushes my funds through to my bank, which is convenient. Other times, I get an email notification letting me know that I have funds available to be moved. After receiving the email, I just push a button, and one day later, I get my funds. The communication is great. Anytime I get paid, I receive an email, which goes to my priority mailbox, and by clicking on it, it takes me directly to HCM. There's also a good level of privacy because I have to send an authentication code so not just anyone can log in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

One thing that would be cool, at least for me, since I work contracting, they do show me the shift and the dollar amount, but it doesn't track my exact hours. So I don't see the hours worked. I just see the payout at the end of the day. Or if that information is there, I can't find it easily. The initial setup did take some time. When I initially set it up, the email notifications for the two-factor authentication were like sending on top of each other. So anytime I'd send a code, it would erase the previous code. "Versatile and User-Friendly, But Needs Order Management Optimization"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I love how Workday HCM has a little bit of everything, from scheduling to learning and ordering. The ease of use from one subject to another is fantastic, and it makes the new hire process easy with integration. The scheduling layout for payroll is easy to follow, with all employee info listed from when they've clocked in and out. It's also easy to enroll team members into monthly modules for continuous learning. The integrated new hire process, starting with inputting their information and processing through screening processes, is especially easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

I believe the par level or site ordering could be revamped; sometimes, trying to find requisitions can be complicated, versus placing the order being very simple. There seem to be unnecessary pages that you have to dig through before you can find the information you're looking for. I feel like it could be simplified best based on facility location to be able to see what's available, or narrowing down department options for products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralizes HR Functions, Needs UX Improvements"
4/5
What do you like best about Workday HCM?

I really find the reporting features helpful as they allow our managers to make informed decisions and overviews, and dig into potential challenges or identify risks. It also significantly aids our onboarding process by managing candidates efficiently and providing a central overview. This allows different sites and gyms to manage their onboarding while retaining a human element in a computer system. The integration with job boards like Indeed makes the onboarding process swift and smooth, offering a frictionless interaction. It's useful for maintaining an applicant talent pool and supports internal progression or movement within the company. Notifications from job boards keep everyone informed about potential job opportunities. I also appreciate the flexibility of managing Workday HCM at both central and local levels. The data reporting capability is crucial as it helps us understand absence reasons, track team schedules, ensure accurate payroll records, and support financial predictions with simple reports. It's really an all-in-one solution that supports business projects and requirements, making management smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday HCM?

Logging in for offline workers can be challenging the first time, with multiple factor notifications being a sticking point. Password resets are frequent in certain areas. The learning integration can be a bit sticky, especially if all modules aren't available. It's challenging to set up, and sometimes completed learning doesn't update in Workday, causing confusion. Initial setup was quite challenging, requiring third-party consultants and still causing issues from early decisions. The system isn't very engaging or user-friendly, feeling boggy for end users. It's also very American, which is less suitable for an English company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
