## Workday HCM Reviews
 ### 1. Powerful All-in-One HR Platform with Great Analytics, but a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ram K. | Senior Staffing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

What I like best about Workday HCM is how it brings core HR processes, payroll, talent management, and reporting into a single, centralized platform. Having everything connected in one system makes employee data easier to manage and significantly reduces manual work across HR operations.

One of the most valuable features for our team is the reporting and analytics capability. The customizable dashboards and real-time reporting help leadership make faster, data-driven decisions without relying heavily on spreadsheets or separate reporting tools. The self-service functionality has also improved the employee experience by allowing staff to easily update personal information, access pay details, request time off, and complete performance tasks without HR intervention.

From a UI/UX perspective, the platform is generally intuitive once users are familiar with it, and the mobile app makes it convenient for employees and managers to complete tasks on the go. Workday’s integration capabilities are another major strength, especially when connecting with payroll, finance, recruiting, and third-party business systems. This has helped streamline workflows and reduce duplicate data entry.

Performance-wise, the system is reliable and scales well for larger organizations with complex HR needs. I also appreciate the continuous product updates and innovation, particularly around AI-driven insights, workforce planning, and automation features that help improve efficiency and visibility into talent trends.

Although implementation can require a significant investment of time and resources, the long-term ROI comes from improved process standardization, automation, and reduced administrative overhead. Workday’s support resources, training materials, and onboarding documentation have also been helpful in driving adoption across teams.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

One downside of Workday HCM is that while the platform is very powerful, some areas can feel overly complex and require a significant learning curve, especially for new administrators or occasional users. Certain workflows and configurations are not always intuitive, and simple changes can sometimes require multiple steps or specialized knowledge.

The reporting tools are robust, but creating advanced custom reports can be time-consuming without proper training. From a UI/UX perspective, some users find navigation less streamlined than expected, particularly when moving between modules or trying to locate specific tasks quickly. The number of clicks required for certain actions can impact efficiency.

Another challenge is that implementations and system updates can require substantial planning and internal resources. Organizations may need dedicated Workday specialists or external consultants to fully optimize the platform, which can increase overall costs. While integrations are generally strong, configuring and maintaining integrations with third-party systems can occasionally be complex and require technical expertise.

Performance is usually reliable, but some users experience slower load times during high-volume reporting or large data processing tasks. Additionally, because Workday is highly configurable, maintaining consistency across business processes and security roles can become difficult in larger organizations.

Pricing can also be a concern for smaller or mid-sized companies, as licensing, implementation, and ongoing support costs may be higher compared to some competing HR platforms. While customer support and documentation are helpful overall, response times for more complex issues can vary depending on the severity and support tier.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM helps solve the challenge of managing HR processes across multiple systems by centralizing employee data, payroll, recruiting, performance management, benefits, and reporting into a single platform. Before using Workday, many HR tasks required manual data entry, spreadsheets, or disconnected systems, which increased the risk of errors and slowed down processes.

One of the biggest benefits has been improved efficiency through automation and self-service functionality. Employees can independently manage tasks like updating personal information, submitting time-off requests, viewing pay information, and completing performance reviews, which reduces administrative workload for HR teams. Managers also have quicker access to workforce data and approvals, helping them make faster decisions.

The platform’s real-time reporting and analytics capabilities have been especially valuable for workforce planning and compliance reporting. Instead of spending hours compiling reports manually, leadership can access accurate, up-to-date insights directly from dashboards and custom reports. This has improved visibility into headcount, turnover, hiring progress, and overall workforce trends.

Workday HCM has also improved collaboration between HR, finance, and leadership teams because everyone is working from the same source of truth. The integration capabilities help streamline data flow between systems, reducing duplicate work and improving accuracy across departments.

From a business perspective, the platform has helped standardize HR processes, improve data consistency, and support scalability as the organization grows. The automation, centralized data management, and improved reporting ultimately save time, reduce operational inefficiencies, and allow HR teams to focus more on strategic initiatives rather than administrative tasks.

 ### 2. Ease of Use with Room for Automation Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raven D. | Leasing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I really enjoy the ease and simplicity of using Workday HCM. The daily tracker feature helps me keep myself on track, ensuring that I'm accomplishing all the tasks and meeting my metrics. It makes the ease of my job really, really easy. The initial setup was also quite straightforward; it took us less than twenty minutes.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I think the automation could absolutely be worked on and reviewed, making it easier to do things in an automated fashion and being able to set different alarms and things.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM for my daily work, and I enjoy its ease and simplicity. The daily tracker helps me stay on track and hit all my metrics, simplifying my job duties.

 ### 3. Workday HCM: Intuitive All-in-One HR Platform with Strong Integrations and Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhwanil K. | Data Designer / User Engagement, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

What I like most about Workday HCM is how it centralizes HR processes in one user-friendly platform. Tasks like managing employee data, completing performance reviews, submitting time-off requests, and running reports feel streamlined and are easy to navigate. The self-service tools also empower employees and managers to find information and handle routine tasks on their own, which boosts efficiency and reduces the administrative workload. I also value the real-time reporting features, which provide useful insights for workforce planning and better decision-making.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

One thing I don’t like about Workday HCM is that some workflows can feel unnecessarily complex, particularly when there are multiple approval steps. Some features also come with a learning curve for new users, and locating specific information can sometimes mean clicking through several menus. Although the platform is highly customizable, updating configurations or setting up new processes may require extra support, guidance, or training to do it efficiently.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM helps us address challenges in managing employee information, HR processes, and workforce data across multiple teams. Before we implemented the platform, many tasks required significant manual effort, and information was scattered across different systems. With Workday HCM, employee records, performance management, leave requests, and reporting are now centralized in one place, which improves data accuracy and consistency. As a result, we’ve reduced administrative work, increased process efficiency, and gained clearer visibility into workforce trends, enabling faster and more informed business decisions.

 ### 4. Streamlined HR Operations with a Complex Onboarding Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhay Kumar S. | US Payroll & Timesheet Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like that HR payroll, time tracking, and compensation data are all connected in one system with Workday HCM. This integration reduces manual data entry and minimizes payroll errors while giving payroll teams real-time access to accurate employee information. Having accurate data in one place is incredibly valuable, as it saves time during payroll processing and gives me confidence that employees are paid correctly. This improves operational efficiency and employee trust, making the integrated nature of the platform one of its biggest strengths once you gain experience.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Workday is very powerful, but for new users, the number of reports, tasks, and business processes can feel overwhelming. I think a simpler learning experience for beginners would help users become productive faster. The initial setup was not simple because Workday affects multiple HR processes such as organizational structure, security, business processes, compensation, and reporting. It required careful planning, data validation, and testing.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM helps me pay employees correctly and on time, reducing manual work and ensuring compliance. Its integrated HR, payroll, and compensation system minimizes errors and provides accurate data, boosting operational efficiency and employee trust.

 ### 5. Customisable, Easy-to-Use All-in-One Platform That Boosts Efficiency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruka S. | Organic Growth Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

It's very customisable according to company and users' needs. It's a very easy to use all in one platform from team admin to recruitment to performance review which helps me efficiently deliver the work I need to do.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

This might be the way the company has built it but some of the functions are hidden which may take some time to find or get used to but once you are used to it, it's easy and quick.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem it solves is the efficiency of having all the admin related stuff in a single platform. I don't have to navigate to different platforms to complete different task and the notification will allow me to easily check outstanding tasks.

 ### 6. Workday: A One-Stop Shop for Managing Direct Reports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carla O. | Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Workday is my one-stop shop for handling all direct report issues and finding solutions. It includes everything I need to manage my team in the most effective and efficient way.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

There’s a steep learning curve for certain functions, such as schedule changes and the time-off calculators. At times, some features feel like they require too many steps, or there are multiple ways to do the same thing when it could be made simpler.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday is where I go to manage time tracking, payroll, benefits, PTO, and sick days. It keeps everything I need for my team in one place, so it’s easy to find and handle the essentials.

 ### 7. Intuitive HR Management, but Advanced Reporting Takes Extra Learning

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Galateya M. | Administrative Assistant, Computer & Network Security, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

What stands out to me about Workday HCM is how intuitive and efficient it is in managing HR data and processes. The real-time insights and centralized system make day-to-day tasks much easier, and it helps teams stay aligned while supporting smarter, faster decisions.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

What I find challenging about Workday HCM is that some functions can be less intuitive at first and require time to learn. Also, more advanced reporting or customization can sometimes be limited without additional support.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM simplifies access to important HR information by providing everything in one place. It allows me to easily view payslips, explore new position opportunities, and update my personal data, which saves time and makes processes more efficient.

 ### 8. Workday HCM Centralizes HR and Boosts Efficiency with Powerful Self-Service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Workday HCM has become a central part of how we manage HR tasks, and the biggest value for me is how much it brings everything into one place. I regularly use it for employee records, time off requests, performance reviews, reporting, and organizational visibility, and having all of that connected in one system makes day-to-day HR work much more efficient.

One of the most useful features is the self-service functionality. Employees can update personal information, request time off, view pay details, and access important HR information without needing to contact HR for every small request. This has reduced repetitive administrative work and helped employees get answers faster.

The reporting and analytics tools are also very valuable. Instead of pulling information from multiple spreadsheets or systems, Workday makes it easier to generate reports on headcount, compensation, turnover, performance, and other workforce data. This has improved decision-making because managers and HR teams can work from more accurate, up-to-date information.

I also appreciate the workflow automation. Approvals for job changes, time off, and other HR processes move through the right people automatically, which helps prevent delays and keeps everything documented. An unexpected benefit has been the improved consistency across teams—everyone follows the same processes, and there is better visibility into where requests stand.

Overall, Workday HCM has improved our workflow by reducing manual tracking, making employee data easier to access, and giving managers better tools to support their teams. It can take some time to learn because the system is very comprehensive, but once users become familiar with it, it provides a lot of long-term value.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

One area I dislike about Workday HCM is that it can feel overwhelming at first because there are so many features, menus, and process steps. Simple tasks are not always as intuitive as expected, especially for new users who may not know where to find certain actions or reports.

The reporting functionality is powerful, but building custom reports can be complex and may require additional training or support from someone with more Workday experience. There are also times when workflows involve more clicks or approval steps than expected, which can slow down simple HR tasks.

Another challenge is that the user experience can vary depending on how the system is configured by the organization. When processes are not set up clearly, employees and managers may need extra guidance to complete tasks correctly.

Overall, my main dislike is the learning curve. Workday HCM provides a lot of value once users become familiar with it, but it can take time to navigate confidently and fully understand how to use its more advanced features.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM solves several major HR and workforce management challenges by centralizing employee data, automating workflows, and improving visibility across the organization. Before using it, many HR processes were handled through spreadsheets, emails, or multiple disconnected systems, which made tracking information time-consuming and increased the risk of errors.

One of the biggest benefits has been having a single source of truth for employee information. Instead of searching through different platforms or requesting updates manually, HR teams and managers can quickly access accurate, real-time data for headcount, organizational structure, compensation, performance, and employee changes.

It has also improved efficiency through workflow automation. Processes like onboarding, promotions, leave requests, and approvals move through predefined workflows automatically, reducing manual follow-ups and helping tasks get completed faster. This has saved time for both HR teams and employees.

Another major benefit is reporting and analytics. Workday HCM makes it easier to generate workforce reports and track trends without relying heavily on manual spreadsheets. Having faster access to reliable data supports better planning and decision-making.

From an employee experience perspective, the self-service features reduce dependency on HR for routine updates and requests. Employees can manage personal information, benefits, and time-off requests directly in the system, which improves convenience and response times.

Overall, Workday HCM helps reduce administrative overhead, improves data accuracy, streamlines HR operations, and gives the organization better visibility into workforce information.

 ### 9. Streamlined Our HR Workflows Despite Some Navigation Challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praney M. | Product Design Manager 2, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I liked the centralized visibility across employee workflows and approvals in Workday HCM. It made onboarding, role changes, and day-to-day HR coordination much more structured compared to relying on scattered spreadsheets or disconnected systems. The reporting and workflow automation features were genuinely helpful for keeping managers and operations teams aligned on employee-related processes. I also liked that the platform scales fairly well as teams grow.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

One area that could improve is the overall navigation and user experience, especially for newer users or teams that only interact with the platform occasionally. The system is very comprehensive, but some workflows can feel heavier than necessary when users are trying to complete simpler tasks quickly. Reporting and customization are also powerful, although configuring them exactly the way different teams want can take time. During larger organizational workflows, certain menus and approval paths can feel slightly complex to navigate, so a more streamlined interface and simpler workflow setup options would probably improve adoption across non-technical teams. Newer or occasional users sometimes have to move through multiple sections to complete relatively simple workflows, which can slow adoption initially.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM reduced fragmented HR and onboarding workflows by centralizing processes and improving visibility, cutting down on manual tracking. It's great for managers to access employee information more easily and streamlines complex HR coordination, helping with onboarding, role updates, and approvals.

 ### 10. Affordable All-in-One for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniella A. | Freshman Mentor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like the ease of using Workday HCM, and I appreciate that everything is in one place. The talent management tool is also very helpful as it allows us to see the capabilities of talent and how it matches what we need when hiring. I also find working with customer service for HCM enjoyable, as it's much easier to work with, and the functionalities are a lot easier too. My manager found the initial setup super easy, and we had hands-on experience that helped us learn quickly. I definitely recommend it for small businesses or startups because it’s affordable and a great tool to use.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I think the integrations are pretty limited. It would be nice if Workday HCM could integrate with other tools and software we use.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM to process payroll and find contractors. I like that it's all in one platform, making it easier to manage these tasks.

 ### 11. Comprehensive HCM with Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aundi R. | Sr. Workday HCM Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like the consistent release updates with Workday HCM because there's always something changing, and they're always trying to improve the product that they've already released. It's fun to continuously learn new ways to be efficient in the work that we do and find new ways to connect our data to the decisions we make for our organization. The updates may require some work to maintain and stay up to date, but they're extremely valuable as they improve both the user experience and the administrator experience, allowing us to gain efficiencies across the board.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I think one thing that everybody tends to complain about is the recruiting. And it's not so much on the recruiter side. While I do think that there are some areas that can improve there. Like internal communications, notes, interview management, and, application management. I think a lot of that is on the applicant side because in order to really gather the data that you need to onboard someone, they have to create a profile. And if they're doing that in multiple organizations, then they're constantly creating new profiles, and having to submit a lot of the same information that would just be on their resume. And while I think a lot of that does come down to the independent configuration within the tenant, it is highly visible, and, I think that's why it gets such a bad reputation. Also, implementation is not easy at all. For my most recent organization, we had a lot of requirements that were not documented internally, and so it required a lot of discovery internally to figure out what our policies actually were, and that is really important to determining the requirements for the build. So I would say that for our group, the implementation was extremely challenging.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM helps us create an environment where employees and managers can handle tasks independently, reducing reliance on HR and IT. It closes gaps that could lead to human error, allows for seamless information flow from recruiting to provisioning, and ensures a fluid workflow.

 ### 12. Seamless Payment Integration Yet Needs Better Hour Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ric H. | Finance Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I find Workday HCM very easy to use. It sometimes automatically pushes my funds through to my bank, which is convenient. Other times, I get an email notification letting me know that I have funds available to be moved. After receiving the email, I just push a button, and one day later, I get my funds. The communication is great. Anytime I get paid, I receive an email, which goes to my priority mailbox, and by clicking on it, it takes me directly to HCM. There's also a good level of privacy because I have to send an authentication code so not just anyone can log in.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

One thing that would be cool, at least for me, since I work contracting, they do show me the shift and the dollar amount, but it doesn't track my exact hours. So I don't see the hours worked. I just see the payout at the end of the day. Or if that information is there, I can't find it easily. The initial setup did take some time. When I initially set it up, the email notifications for the two-factor authentication were like sending on top of each other. So anytime I'd send a code, it would erase the previous code.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM for direct deposits and invoicing. It tracks my pay and invoices efficiently. Notifications about payment make the process easy, and security measures like two-factor authentication keep my information safe.

 ### 13. Versatile and User-Friendly, But Needs Order Management Optimization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenna B. | Nurition Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I love how Workday HCM has a little bit of everything, from scheduling to learning and ordering. The ease of use from one subject to another is fantastic, and it makes the new hire process easy with integration. The scheduling layout for payroll is easy to follow, with all employee info listed from when they've clocked in and out. It's also easy to enroll team members into monthly modules for continuous learning. The integrated new hire process, starting with inputting their information and processing through screening processes, is especially easy.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I believe the par level or site ordering could be revamped; sometimes, trying to find requisitions can be complicated, versus placing the order being very simple. There seem to be unnecessary pages that you have to dig through before you can find the information you're looking for. I feel like it could be simplified best based on facility location to be able to see what's available, or narrowing down department options for products.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM to easily track employees, manage time cards, and streamline scheduling. It simplifies continuous learning and organizes employee information neatly. The integrated new hire process is particularly convenient, making onboarding smooth.

 ### 14. Centralizes HR Functions, Needs UX Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad M. | Engagement Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I really find the reporting features helpful as they allow our managers to make informed decisions and overviews, and dig into potential challenges or identify risks. It also significantly aids our onboarding process by managing candidates efficiently and providing a central overview. This allows different sites and gyms to manage their onboarding while retaining a human element in a computer system. The integration with job boards like Indeed makes the onboarding process swift and smooth, offering a frictionless interaction. It's useful for maintaining an applicant talent pool and supports internal progression or movement within the company. Notifications from job boards keep everyone informed about potential job opportunities. I also appreciate the flexibility of managing Workday HCM at both central and local levels. The data reporting capability is crucial as it helps us understand absence reasons, track team schedules, ensure accurate payroll records, and support financial predictions with simple reports. It's really an all-in-one solution that supports business projects and requirements, making management smoother.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Logging in for offline workers can be challenging the first time, with multiple factor notifications being a sticking point. Password resets are frequent in certain areas. The learning integration can be a bit sticky, especially if all modules aren't available. It's challenging to set up, and sometimes completed learning doesn't update in Workday, causing confusion. Initial setup was quite challenging, requiring third-party consultants and still causing issues from early decisions. The system isn't very engaging or user-friendly, feeling boggy for end users. It's also very American, which is less suitable for an English company.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM consolidates our systems, making onboarding and payroll efficient, providing great reporting for spotting trends, and ensuring compliance. It supports seamless onboarding with job board integrations and helps us manage our talent pool and internal movements effectively.

 ### 15. Intuitive HCM with Room for AI Growth

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhinav G. | Team Lead Supply Chain Engineer/Commodity Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I think Workday HCM is pretty simple and intuitive. It's easy to use, and I can manage a lot of data within it. The fields and areas are well-organized, making it holistic for storing and analyzing information. I like the filter reporting features, which allow me to do a lot with the data. Also, getting started with Workday HCM was very easy and intuitive for me. It's easy to navigate and things are well explained and laid out. The speed is good, and I find the notifications to be helpful.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I think there certainly could be integration of AI into it. It still feels like a bit of a primitive platform. It could probably be improved with AI capabilities, reporting capabilities, and integration with other tools.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM for day-to-day tasks like managing employees, handling talent requisitions, scheduling, and overseeing leave, PTO, performance, and compensation decisions.

 ### 16. Powerful HR Integration with a Learnability Edge

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanskar D. | Back End Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I especially love that Workday HCM provides a unified system for HR, payroll, talent, and benefits, all in one, which makes everything linked dynamically. The customer report writing capabilities are very powerful, and the designing of workflows is very flexible, allowing me to prevent issues with approval chains easily. The certified Workday consultants are globally sought after, which helps fast-track career growth and enhances compensation packages. And, yes, the overall learning experience remains very good.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I face rigid SaaS boundaries with Workday HCM, which make building complex reporting logic a nightmare for me, especially without careful documentation. Also, wild customization isn't possible with its core logic.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM improves my learning and certification experience with intense boot camps and practical exams. It integrates HR, payroll, talent, and benefits into one system, offers powerful report writing, and helps me understand business processes and security groups.

 ### 17. Easy-to-Navigate, User-Friendly System for Regular Compliance Training

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maggie M. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I've used to for learning and training and found it to be an easy to navigate system. It is user friendly for our compliance training, which is great because we have to take courses on a regular basis and its a good system to use.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Search can be inconsistent, finding learning content is sometimes harder than it should be because course naming and tagging depend on how the company set it up. But that's a company specific issue.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have mandatory training that needs completing on a regular basis, so Workday makes it easy to access and complete the modules when it works for me.

 ### 18. Simple, Efficient HR Tasks in One Centralized Workday HCM Hub

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

What I like best about Workday HCM is how simple and efficient it is to handle everyday HR tasks. It makes it easy to request time off, view pay statements, update personal information, and check benefits all in one centralized place. The interface is intuitive and saves time, since everything is clearly organized and easy to find without needing to dig through multiple systems or reach out for support.

I also like that updates and approvals happen quickly and I can track the status of requests in real time, which makes things feel more transparent. Overall, it reduces a lot of back-and-forth and helps keep everything related to HR organized in one system.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

What I don’t like about Workday HCM is that while it’s very functional, it can sometimes feel a bit complex when trying to find less frequently used features. Some menus and navigation paths aren’t always immediately intuitive, so it can take a few extra clicks or some searching to get where I need to go.

At times, certain tasks like making updates or reviewing detailed information can feel a bit repetitive because of the multiple steps involved. It works well overall, but there are moments where the workflow feels heavier than it needs to be for simple actions.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What Workday HCM is solving for me is the need to manage all my HR-related tasks across different systems or through manual processes. Instead of having to email HR, track down information, or use separate tools for things like time off, pay, and benefits, everything is centralized in one platform.

This benefits me by making day-to-day tasks much more efficient and organized. I can quickly access the information I need, submit requests without delays, and track updates in real time. It reduces back-and-forth communication and helps ensure that nothing gets lost or overlooked, which ultimately saves time and makes the overall experience smoother and more transparent.

 ### 19. Centralized HR Platform with Room for Simplification

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhairay A. | Data Analytical Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I use Workday HCM as a central unit for all employee and HR processes. It tracks professional and personal information, leaves, holidays, and performance, including goal setting. It helps maintain team structures and hierarchies, aiding better collaboration across working teams. It also offers transparency in processes, making information management, payroll, and leave tracking intuitive and easily accessible. I like that it automates HR processes to remain self-service, reducing redundancy, and provides a central platform for better team collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

It is overly structured and sometimes finding even simple information can be time-consuming as one has to browse all categories to actually get to the required piece of info, which can become cumbersome for some users.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM automates HR processes, reducing redundancy and dependency on HR teams. It provides a central platform for employee information, enhancing collaboration and transparency across teams.

 ### 20. Robust for Complex Aviation Rules, with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

It is a robust system that meets the needs of the business + the needs of team members. We work in aviation and have a lot of unique work rules, and Workday HCM helps us to work with each niche need.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

It can be a little clunky, and by that I mean it's not as customizable as we would like it to be. It can take some time to find the right solutions, if it exists.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because we are such a fast-growing organization, we wanted a solution that would grow with us. Workday HCM allows us to pay our people on time, manage our talent, view the workforce, etc. at a glance. It helps us to stay organized as we try to build the plane while we fly it.

 ### 21. Comprehensive HCM with Great Integration but UI Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simone B. | Research & Sourcing Lead + Sales Recruiter, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like that Workday HCM houses everything in one place, making it easier to manage various HR-related tasks. I also appreciate the integrations with other tools, such as Gem for CRM and Slack, which make using different vendor tools seamless.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I don't like the UX design and data analysis in Workday HCM. Pulling data is tedious, and the design could be friendlier and more modern, especially in terms of colors and buttons. I'd like to see easier AI integrated options for pulling data. Also, finding time slots when scheduling with hiring managers, especially for multiple steps and panel interviews, could be easier.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM solves moving candidates through hiring stages, scheduling, and housing documents. I like that it consolidates all HR tasks into one place. Integrations with tools like Gem and Slack add significant value.

 ### 22. Intuitive HR Management with Growth Potential

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Winnie L. | VP – HRSS & Corporate Systems, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like that Workday HCM is intuitive with no learning curve for employees, providing a great employee experience. It's highly configurable, ideal for companies in high tech and financial industries. It also helps manage global employees in different countries and locations for benefits and compensation effectively. Additionally, I appreciate that it integrates seamlessly with our background check and payroll vendors.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The compensation module can be improved for managerial experience especially with a large span of control. With Excel, managers can see 200 employees on one screen, but with Workday, you need to drill down and go to multiple pages to have a complete view. Also, Workday HCM is not best suited for companies with frontline workers and heavy in payroll processing.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM helps us manage global employees across different countries and locations for benefits and compensation.

 ### 23. Centralized and Reliable HR Platform, but Some Workflows Are Too Complex

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

What I like most about Workday HCM is the clean user experience and the fact that many HR processes are centralized in one platform. I also find the self-service features and workflow automation very useful, especially in large organizations.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

One downside of Workday HCM is that some processes can feel overly complex and not always intuitive, especially for occasional users. In some areas, too many clicks are required to complete simple activities, and reporting or customization may require technical support or specific expertise.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps centralize and standardize HR processes across the organization, improving data consistency and reducing manual activities. From my perspective working governance and cross-functional coordination, it's useful to have a single source of truth for organizational data, approvals and employee information, making reporting and internal processes more efficient.

 ### 24. Centralizes HR Data but Requires Patience in Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reggie M. | Talent Acquisition Partner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I liked that Workday HCM provided a single stop for employees to get all their information without having to log in to different systems. It centralized everything, so things like PTO, pay stubs, and other information were all in one place. I also found that the Workday reps were very hands-on and helpful, providing good support for the product.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The setup took a long time and was really rigid. You have to be very specific in how you set it up, which made the learning curve harder compared to some other systems.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM centralizes all employee information, making it easy to access pay, tax details, and vacation in one spot. It simplifies management of a large workforce.

 ### 25. Unified Platform with Some Learning Module Challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like the unified platform of Workday HCM, which means that employee data drives learning assignments and eliminates the need to sync data. The clean and modern user interface drives higher adoption and improves employee engagement. The integration framework is valuable as it helps clients connect third-party content libraries without building custom pipelines. I also enjoy the large ecosystem of prebuilt connectors. For learning, I particularly like that it's tied directly to worker profiles and organization data. I appreciate the compliance tracking, which provides a defensible audit trail, and the campaign-based assignments that allow admins to define rules and let the system handle enrollment at scale.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

In the learning model, content authoring is weak, SCORM support is finicky, and the mobile experience is inconsistent. The cost of Workday HCM is high for smaller organizations. Workday Studio has a high skill ceiling.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM streamlines learning at scale, enabling training campaigns for thousands, automating reminders, and escalations. The unified platform and clean UI enhance engagement. Integrations ease third-party content access. Campaign-based assignments and compliance tracking simplify large-scale enrollment and auditing.

 ### 26. Streamlined Hiring, Rigorous Visibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit Z. | Talent Acquisition & Transformation - CPO Group, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like the end-to-end visibility Workday HCM provides across the hiring process. The real-time visibility of where each candidate sits and who needs to act next in the process reduces follow-ups and delays. I find the workflow automation and approval flows especially useful. They reduce manual effort, keep things moving, ensure consistency, and make the process faster and easier to manage at scale.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The user interface can feel a bit odd at times, can't add much creativity to the job adverts. Also, approval processes aren't always intuitive. Reporting can also be limited without additional configuration and small changes often require systems support rather than being easily self-managed.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM streamlines the hiring process, centralizing candidate tracking, approvals, and onboarding to improve pipeline visibility. It minimizes manual work, ensures consistency, and enhances compliance in hiring workflows.

 ### 27. All-in-One HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Financials in One Seamless System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristine K. | Private Practice, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

It is a system that Integrates HR, payroll, benefits, and financials into a single system, eliminating the need to go back and forth between other systems. It also has the ability to add more modules as needed.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

It can take several weeks to really understand how to use the system for the first time, especially if you were not part of the implementation. The users have a hard time accessing their data at first, but eventually learn how to find what they need.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since it is very customizable, you can set up many processes and make it look how you want it too. This is very unique, because most systems have you follow their "boxed" platforms and don't always have the opportunity to customize.

 ### 28. Streamlined HR Processes, Easy to Use but Requires Training

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like Workday HCM's easy-to-use interface, which makes navigating the system straightforward. The centralized data management is a plus, allowing for efficient handling of employee data. I appreciate how it streamlines HR processes, simplifying recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding. The workflow automation really cuts down on manual efforts, saving time for both HR and employees. The reporting feature is fantastic for quickly accessing accurate data. I enjoy the employee self-services option, which empowers employees to manage their own information. The initial setup was also very easy and handy.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Some features have a learning curve, and report customization can be time-consuming. The interface can also feel complex when using advanced functions. The platform can be challenging for new users due to its extensive features, and more user-friendly guidance and training resources would help.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM to manage employee data, recruitment, and daily tasks, streamlining HR processes. It simplifies recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding, automates tasks, and offers efficient data management. The reporting, workflow automation, and employee self-services save time for HR and employees.

 ### 29. Effortless Usability at Scale, But APIs and Integrations Need More Clarity

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Varun S. | Staff Engineer I, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

It’s easy to scale across the organization. With minimal or no training, users are able to understand how to interact with the app to perform basic daily tasks. Overall, it makes usability feel effortless.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The APIs are not easy to understand. When integrations with other systems are needed, a lot of evaluation is required, especially around privacy. I have seen other systems offer a much more convenient developer portal, along with better customization for controlling what types of data are shared through specific API fields.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for day-to-day employee-related tasks such as filling out timesheets, managing compensation, and submitting absence requests. It also helps with downstreaming employee data across systems, and I can easily check my current balance and supervisor details when needed.

 ### 30. Centralized Platform with Customization Options, But Navigation Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew B. | Director of Global HR Operations (Head of HR), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like the ability to customize reports and such with Workday HCM. I work with my HCM analysts to put together pretty much anything I need for data. As an employee, it puts everything right in one place, allowing me to pull pay stubs, check for upcoming payroll, confirm my benefits, and see my team and their information as well.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I don't like the recent change to the employee dashboard, that kinda took away the ease of finding things on that left-hand side panel. Now it is kind of hidden. It feels like you have to really search for certain things.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM to keep everything in one place, like pulling pay stubs, checking payroll, confirming benefits, and viewing team information.

 ### 31. Easy-to-Find, Theme-Based Report Templates That Simplify Reporting

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like a lot that there are several reports available in the dashboard to choose from as templates. It's really helpful they are categorized by theme so it is very easy to find the report you are looking for.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Sometimes it can take an awful lot of time to download bigger reports containing a lot of data. This leads to having to wait and downtime and can cause stress when you need to urgently answer an outstanding topic.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really brings together all employee data in one place and helps to make helpful analysis for employees and leaders that you are supporting. It helps to make data-driven decisions.

It is user-friendly, smooth HR workflows and real-time reporting. It helps simplify day-to-day HR tasks like employee data, leave, recruitment and inproves efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

While it has feature-rich, the interface can feel overwhelming for new users. Some tasks require multiple clicks, and certain customisations or reports can be complex without proper training.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me manage HR related tasks more efficiently by keeping employee information and workflows in one place. Reduces manual effort, saves my time, improves data accuracy and makes it easier to access information i need for daily work.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

It’s a unified platform that integrates all HR processes into one application. It’s user-friendly and easy to navigate within the application. It also has support for analytics and dashboard on the provided data.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The application is expensive and more suitable for larger organizations. The implementatation of this application can be longer. The application has limited support in some of the areas like payroll and taxation.

Talent Management, Recruiting, Onboarding, Analytics are some of the modules which provides a user real time analytics about the data which is present in the application. ### 34. Centralized HR Management Simplified

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I use Workday HCM for submitting vacation and other time-off requests (sick leave, parental leave, etc.), managing HR and admin tasks, adding and tracking annual goals, and going through the performance review process. It centralizes all key HR processes, making them straightforward to manage and preventing HR tasks from being spread across different systems or manual processes. I appreciate that it's easy to use, and everything is in one system, reducing the complexity of admin tasks. The self-service tools and the ability to manage time off with a clear calendar are particularly valuable. I also appreciate being able to track performance both within the calendar year and over longer periods. Time-off requests are quick and easy to submit and approve, and the goals and performance section helps me stay aligned with expectations and track progress effectively.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Navigating Workday HCM can sometimes feel a bit unintuitive, especially when trying to find less frequently used features. I sometimes find myself clicking around and hoping I find what I'm looking for if it's a feature I only use occasionally. A more simplified interface or quicker access to the common actions I need regularly would make the user experience better.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM to manage vacation requests, HR tasks and performance tracking in one place, solving the problem of scattered systems. It keeps everything accurate and up to date, simplifying administrative work and making it more efficient.

 ### 35. Empowers Teams with Data and Access and Self-Service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaimie C. | Senior People Process Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

I like the self-service features of Workday HCM, which allow me to make and track changes within my team. I also love the ability to visually see connections across the organization. Workday makes it easy to store files and view the history of employees. I also appreciate the on-screen help text, dashboards, and reports that make sure everyone is on the same page.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I think Workday HCM could improve in general UX for ease of use and editing. While Workday is inherently rational once you understand it, it's not always immediately apparent for newer users how to get the desired result. Studying user behavior to make it more intuitive would be helpful in propelling it to the next level of understandability for new users. Additionally, unlocking more reporting features would be great, both in terms of more options for reports and more clarity around what filters do on reports.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM to view and edit employee profiles, manage team changes like hiring and compensation, and access learning resources. It provides self-service tools for data management and file storage, and helps keep everyone aligned with dashboards, org charts, and reports.

managign work-related tasks and documentation; possibility to collect different types of reports; team dashboard - being able to see your team related tasks in one please

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of my own tasks and documents; accessing different types of reports; creating and maintaiining trainings, track and rating attendance; requesting and providing feedback

 ### 37. All-in-One HR App That Works Really Well

Being able to see accumulated vacation time pay stubs my time off request scheduling it's all in one app and it works really well for me my company went to workday two years ago and everyone loves it.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

It seems like there's a delay for time off request pay stubs do not load until the afternoon of the day to which they were direct deposit my boss doesn't get requests instantly which sometimes means time doesn't get approved.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday keeps me from needing three separate apps to keep up with pay stubs time off vacation time write ups it's like a digital file of time with my job so saves me from multiple unnecessary apps

 ### 38. Workday HCM: Easy to Use with Powerful Features and a Great Native App

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon G. | Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

What I like best about workday HCM is that it’s very easy to use. I used it a lot at my previous employer every day or every week at least I would go into the system.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

To be honest, there’s not much that I dislike about workday HCM it’s a great platform and you have a bunch of different functionalities and I like the fact that they have a native app

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So I used workday to log my time and hours and request time off. I also used it for training videos in our organization, and we also were able to apply to different positions in the company with the system.

 ### 39. Good system for full time staff

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kandice S. | Swim Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

All the information was in one spot, once I started completing forms it took me right to the next one and I didn't have to navigate the site. The system was fast and I was able to complete all the forms needed in one spot.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

It was hard to log back into the account once I completed my contract to see previous documents Even re-logging in takes many emails once the contract was completed.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I didn't reach out to have anyone help with this matter as I was working a contract position and the contract was over and I was able to find what I was looking for another way.

 ### 40. User-Friendly Interface, Needs Improved Time-Off Requesting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like the ease of use of Workday HCM. It's simpler when checking my schedule and keeping track of shifts.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I think requesting time off was easier on the software that we used to use. There was a period of time in the beginning when clocking in and out over the phone was quite difficult, and the device didn't recognize the location, so it wouldn't let you clock in. That issue has been resolved though. The switch to Workday HCM was a bit difficult because the software we used was simpler. It was also relatively difficult to get used to a new interface.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Workday HCM for requesting absences, checking my schedule, and clocking in and out. It makes it easier to see shifts and simplifies the user interface for checking schedules.

 ### 41. Seamless HR, Payroll, Finance & Analytics for Complex Multi-Country Compliance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

HR, Payroll, Finance, and Analytics all connect seamlessly and stay in sync. It handles complex, multi-country compliance and payroll (in 60+ countries) better than almost anyone else. It also feels purpose-built for a 10,000+ employee company that needs consistent logic and processes across 20 different regions.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

While the UI looks clean and modern, the overall user experience can still be frustrating. Even simple tasks—like requesting PTO or locating a specific tax form—often take too many clicks and require digging through multiple layers of nested menus.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM helps solve the problem of “data silos” by bringing payroll, benefits, and performance together in a single platform. This keeps information consistent and accurate across the entire company, so everyone is working from the same source of truth.

 ### 42. Still a Workday Fan, but Super Frustrated

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

The way data is still organized is intuitive to HR professionals, however, I'm starting to become disillusioned with the product. Over the past few years one of the biggest selling points to me was the value of Community and how Workday took suggestions from Brainstorms and added them to the roadmap for each functional area, and then provided regular Next Level presentations on features as well as release updates for those with certifications. Now, literally all of that is gone/not happening, and it's like Workday has turned everything into a black box in order to maximize shareholder revenue at the expense of the customer.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I dislike the fact that Community no longer has a lot of the historical solutions, Brainstorms are no longer available/visible (seems like an attempt to hide the fact that the roadmaps are no longer driven by customer ideas and the company strategy is shifting to extracting value for shareholders vs. service to customers), there's no longer regular Next Levels or Release Highlights for those with certifications, and a lot of the new items are all hinging on Agentic solutions which have pricing as clear as mud AND are also so far ahead of where most Workday customers are - it is like forcing people to upgrade from a Model T to a Ferrari.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audit trails, forcing us to re evaluate how our business operates so we can define the processes in the system.

 ### 43. Easy to Use, Affordable, and Backed by Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacy&Brent W. | picker/packer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

It performed so well and was easy to use. The price was affordable and the onboarding was easy. The support responds well. and in a very timely fashion

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

There was nothing that I disliked. It fit great with what I needed and still is working very well for me . I cant think of any issues ive had. or dislikes

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does all my payroll and things and keeps a record of it so I dont have to. That is fewer headaches I have to worry about while I'm busy. I can work with a lot of less stress

 ### 44. Quick Setup, Intuitive Employee Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario E. | FSQA supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I find Workday HCM to be a great tool for putting PTO and checking points for team members. My favorite feature is the search bar that brings you to the right place you need. For example, if I need an employee's info, I just type the name, and a list with pictures helps me identify the correct team member. I also appreciated that the setup was quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

As of now i'm very happy with the program

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday HCM to manage PTO and track team member points. It solves the problem of finding start dates and accumulated points. The search bar helps me quickly access employee info, with pictures aiding identification.

 ### 45. Streamlined HR Lifecycle with Robust Security

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin W.

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I appreciate how Workday HCM serves as our system of record for employee data, effectively managing the full employee lifecycle from hire to retire. It supports core HR processes like job and org management, compensation, performance, and reporting. The platform provides consistent, trusted data for workforce insights and decision-making. We've been able to consolidate our data from different platforms into Workday HCM and perform reporting efficiently. I also find the UX relatively easy to pick up on without much training. Workday's security model is robust, allowing us to enforce strict controls to ensure data is only accessible to those authorized to see it.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I would love to see a UI refresh. There's too many clicks to navigate anywhere at the moment.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM consolidates our data from multiple platforms for centralized reporting. It manages the full employee lifecycle, supports core HR processes, and provides trusted data for decision-making. The easy-to-use UX and robust security model also ensure effective data control.

 ### 46. Smooth Experience with Minimal Glitches

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley A. | Therapist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I appreciate Workday HCM for making things easy to manage. It runs smoothly without any glitches, which is really important for my work process. I'm able to get on it, check what I need quickly, and then move on to my next task without it taking up a large amount of time in my workday. The app's focus is very helpful too.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I have no feedback

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM shows me everything I need to know about HR and is easy to manage. It runs smoothly without glitches, allowing me to check things quickly and not take up much work time.

 ### 47. Flexible and Fast HR Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer D. | Director of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like Workday HCM for its flexibility and quickness, which really help with everyday HR tasks. The platform lets us adapt workflows, approvals, and reporting quickly without a lot of manual work, thanks to its real-time data and embedded analytics. This makes it easier for our HR team to make faster decisions and respond quickly to workforce changes. I also found the initial setup to be easy.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

NA

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM streamlines HR processes, enhances reporting and analytics, and adapts workflows easily. It helps our team make faster decisions and quickly respond to workforce changes with real-time data and embedded analytics.

 ### 48. Outstanding Functionality and Streamlined Workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler M. | Account Receivable Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Workday offers outstanding functionality, truly streamlining my daily work experience. All essential operations—HR, payroll, IT support, and accounts receivable—are conveniently centralized within a single platform. I find the interface intuitive and appreciate how customizable it is. One feature I value in particular is the ability to control access for each user individually. The automated workflows also simplify routine tasks that would otherwise be time-consuming, greatly improving overall efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The system is easy to navigate, true. However, I feel there is room for increased product efficiency as the number of "clicks" seems excessive for relatively simple procedures. I also have experienced some "page redirecting", for example, I edit an invoice, I reprint the invoice to display the updated data. Upon completion of "Print Run", and clicking "Ok", I am then redirected to a previously visited Workday record. I am then required to navigate back to the original record of which I re-printed. More clicks!!

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me manage all of the HR and pay minutia that takes up my valuable time as an employee and human! Through its automation, Workday has freed up some much space to focus on what my primary role is at my company.

 ### 49. User-Friendly, One-Stop HR Platform with Great Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Workday HCM is a one stop shop for all Human Resources, Compensation and Recruiting needs and functionality. It's very user-friendly and contains great reporting!

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I do find it challenging at times to know where to find something in the platform. You almost have to know the specific name assigned to something and do a search for it.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing employee time off, annual and mid-year reviews, milestones and recruiting are some of the top things I utilize Workday HCM for. It's very convenient to have all of that functionality located in one platform.

 ### 50. Powerful Global HR & Payroll Platform, But Complex and Costly to Implement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubhi A. | Sr. Content Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Centralizes HR, payroll and talent management. Can run payroll in many countries. It is highly configurable and can be tailored to fit specific needs, and supports advanced features.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Implementation is extensive and is also more suitable for enterprises rather than SMBs.

It has a steep learning curve, pretty high cost and complex configuration requirements.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing and automating HR, payroll and analytics - ensuring there are no manual errors.

It also tracks all tax regulations and automates how they are applied.
