"Intuitive Interface with Seamless Workday Integration and Strong Reporting"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

It’s easy to connect with other Workday applications to view financial data. Many of my co-workers (myself included) find the interface intuitive and easy to navigate. Also, the reporting tools help in data analysis and decision making for our accounting and finance teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

The software seems a bit too expensive, even for a large company like ours. The symetry may have a steep learning curve for new users. The customer service to respond to our questions is less to be desired. I feel like I need to go to the Workday Community forum to get a straightforward answer. "Consolidates Finance and HR Effortlessly"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

I use Workday Financial Management to track real-time financial data, making it convenient for anything from increment in contract to expense management. I love that the finance and HR data are in the same system, which allows me to review and monitor my financial summary and explore new role openings within the company. The user interface is interactive and easy to use, consolidating all data into one place, which makes tracking everything much easier. I don't have to switch between different platforms for HR-related queries, which I find very convenient. Additionally, the support system works really well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

The mobile application needs improvement as sometimes it feels a bit clunky. If you are uploading a receipt, the mobile app doesn't capture the details correctly, which you have to manually add. That requires improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

I use Workday Financial Management for expense management, approvals, budgeting, and financial reporting. It's easy to access financial data in one place, and the reporting features are very useful. I like most its centralized platform and powerful reporting capabilities. It makes financial data easy to access, simplifies approval workflows, and helps save time by reducing manual tasks. The centralized platform keeps all financial information in one place, making it easier to manage expenses, approvals, and reports without switching between different tools. The reporting features provide real-time insights, helping teams make faster and more informed financial decisions while reducing manual effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

I find the interface overwhelming for new users, and some workflows require too many steps to complete simple tasks. Performance can also be slow at times, especially when loading reports or navigating between modules. The interface could be more intuitive with simpler navigation and fewer clicks for common tasks. Streamlining approval workflows and improving page load times, especially for reports, would make the overall experience faster and more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Workday Financial Management for processing payroll, and it helps me simplify payroll processing. With the centralized and automated system, payroll becomes more accurate and easier to manage. I like the interface because it makes performing day-to-day tasks easy, and the system is quite user-friendly compared to traditional tools. The navigation becomes smooth once you get used to it. I enjoy how it makes handling payroll-related activities more efficient, giving an overall modern and streamlined experience. What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

One thing that could be improved is the learning curve. For new users, it can take some time to fully understand where everything is and how different processes work. Also, certain tasks require multiple steps or clicks, which can feel a bit time-consuming at times. Sometimes the system can be slightly slow when loading reports or large data sets. Improving navigation for specific functions and making some processes more streamlined would make the overall experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Financial Management with Real-Time Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

What I like most about Workday Financial Management is how it brings financial management, reporting, planning, and analytics together in one cloud-based platform. The interface feels intuitive, and it’s easy to access real-time financial data, which cuts down on manual reporting and constant spreadsheet tracking. Its automation features also help streamline key processes like accounts payable, budgeting, procurement, and the financial close, improving efficiency and accuracy across the organization. I especially value the reporting and dashboard capabilities, which give leadership clear, actionable insights to support decision-making. On top of that, the platform integrates smoothly with other business systems, creating a more connected and transparent financial workflow. Overall, Workday Financial Management has increased visibility into financial performance, reduced administrative burden, and supported stronger operational planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

One area where Workday Financial Management could improve is the learning curve for new users. Although the platform is powerful and feature-rich, some financial workflows and configuration settings are complex and often require extra training and onboarding time. Certain reports and dashboards can also take multiple steps to customize, which can be challenging for users who aren’t yet familiar with the system. In addition, integrations with third-party applications sometimes require specialized expertise to configure and maintain.

Because the platform is so comprehensive, navigation can feel overwhelming at times, especially for smaller organizations that may not need every available feature. Continued improvements to usability, reporting flexibility, and implementation support would help organizations realize value more quickly while also improving the overall user experience. "Effortless Record-Keeping with Intuitive Navigation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

I really like the ease of use of Workday Financial Management and its easily navigable interface. The availability of a plethora of reports is great for tracking and monitoring employee activities. It provides great record keeping and allows access and comparison to other subsidiary reports. The system makes it very easy to look at an employee's historical performance records and compensation information due to how easily accessible everything is. The navigation around the software feels very intuitive, making tasks like reporting, and time tracking straightforward and not difficult at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

Lack of robust automated alerts and analytics. If they could incorporate analytics in terms of red flags such as, you know, if a person has manual punches that exceed a certain threshold 10% of the time, etc. If you were able to activate or toggle on or off certain flags by employee type, that would be really awesome because it would provide automation within Workday itself via automatic artificial intelligence. That would help to flag certain conditions rather than have to have managers report pull and review things manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Finance Automation, But a Rigid UI and Steep Learning Curve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

What I like most about Workday Financial Management is that it centralizes our core accounting and financial processes in a single, cloud-native platform. It also does an excellent job of automating repetitive tasks and expense-approval workflows, which saves our team many manual hours. On top of that, the real-time visibility into budgets helps us streamline the month-end close, without having to rely on endless, disjointed Excel spreadsheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

The user interface feels a bit rigid and somewhat outdated compared with other modern SaaS tools, which can make navigation feel clunky—especially for non-technical users. On top of that, the learning curve is exceptionally steep. New team members often need a significant amount of training to fully understand how the system works, and that can slow down onboarding and even day-to-day operations during the early stages. "Quick and Automated with Great Operational Insights"
4/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

I find Workday Financial Management very quick with many automations, which helps a lot in managing tasks efficiently. I like the operations analysis, especially having charts that quickly show our expenses and other factors like the cost of goods. The ability to change my view to monthly, yearly, or quarterly is also very helpful. I appreciate that I don't have to go through huge reports every day to get data for operations. The initial setup was super easy, and the videos provided help in understanding the concept of each feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

There aren't many customizable features available. I would like to have a feature where each employee can look at a different type of screen, customizable to their work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
