I use Workday Financial Management for processing payroll, and it helps me simplify payroll processing. With the centralized and automated system, payroll becomes more accurate and easier to manage. Having everything centralized means I don’t have to switch between multiple systems, making the workflow much smoother and more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

One thing that could be improved is the learning curve. For new users, it can take some time to fully understand where everything is and how different processes work. Also, certain tasks require multiple steps or clicks, which can feel a bit time-consuming at times. Sometimes the system can be slightly slow when loading reports or large data sets. Improving navigation for specific functions and making some processes more streamlined would make the overall experience even better.

I would like there to be options for more AI support or clearer customer support, especially when the site glitches and I have additional questions or need more options. Overall, the site is very useful, and we will continue using it for our financial management and for rendering all reports.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with creating reports without any errors by tracking income in one central location, but now we can do use this site, and it is a one stop shop, which has resulted in clear and accurate reports

 ### 5. Powerful Financial Management with Real-Time Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff Z. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

What I like most about Workday Financial Management is how it brings financial management, reporting, planning, and analytics together in one cloud-based platform. The interface feels intuitive, and it’s easy to access real-time financial data, which cuts down on manual reporting and constant spreadsheet tracking. Its automation features also help streamline key processes like accounts payable, budgeting, procurement, and the financial close, improving efficiency and accuracy across the organization. I especially value the reporting and dashboard capabilities, which give leadership clear, actionable insights to support decision-making. On top of that, the platform integrates smoothly with other business systems, creating a more connected and transparent financial workflow. Overall, Workday Financial Management has increased visibility into financial performance, reduced administrative burden, and supported stronger operational planning.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

One area where Workday Financial Management could improve is the learning curve for new users. Although the platform is powerful and feature-rich, some financial workflows and configuration settings are complex and often require extra training and onboarding time. Certain reports and dashboards can also take multiple steps to customize, which can be challenging for users who aren’t yet familiar with the system. In addition, integrations with third-party applications sometimes require specialized expertise to configure and maintain.

Because the platform is so comprehensive, navigation can feel overwhelming at times, especially for smaller organizations that may not need every available feature. Continued improvements to usability, reporting flexibility, and implementation support would help organizations realize value more quickly while also improving the overall user experience.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before implementing Workday Financial Management, our financial data was scattered across multiple systems and spreadsheets. This made reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis slow, time-consuming, and more prone to errors. Workday helped us centralize key financial operations—accounting, procurement, planning, and reporting—within a single system.

As a result, we now have clearer visibility into financial performance through real-time data and dashboards. We’ve reduced manual data entry, improved the accuracy of our reporting, and streamlined month-end close processes. The platform’s automation features have also saved administrative time, strengthened compliance, and supported faster decision-making. Overall, Workday Financial Management has improved operational efficiency, increased financial transparency, and given leadership more reliable information to support strategic planning and growth.

 ### 6. Effortless Record-Keeping with Intuitive Navigation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsea C. | Financial Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I really like the ease of use of Workday Financial Management and its easily navigable interface. The availability of a plethora of reports is great for tracking and monitoring employee activities. It provides great record keeping and allows access and comparison to other subsidiary reports. The system makes it very easy to look at an employee's historical performance records and compensation information due to how easily accessible everything is. The navigation around the software feels very intuitive, making tasks like reporting, and time tracking straightforward and not difficult at all.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

Lack of robust automated alerts and analytics. If they could incorporate analytics in terms of red flags such as, you know, if a person has manual punches that exceed a certain threshold 10% of the time, etc. If you were able to activate or toggle on or off certain flags by employee type, that would be really awesome because it would provide automation within Workday itself via automatic artificial intelligence. That would help to flag certain conditions rather than have to have managers report pull and review things manually.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management provides great record keeping, easy navigation, and access to employee historical data. It simplifies tracking clocking times and comparing reports, ensuring accuracy. The intuitive interface and numerous available reports make it easy to monitor employee activity and performance effectively.

 ### 7. Powerful Finance Automation, But a Rigid UI and Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cesar T. | Especialista en TI, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

What I like most about Workday Financial Management is that it centralizes our core accounting and financial processes in a single, cloud-native platform. It also does an excellent job of automating repetitive tasks and expense-approval workflows, which saves our team many manual hours. On top of that, the real-time visibility into budgets helps us streamline the month-end close, without having to rely on endless, disjointed Excel spreadsheets.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

The user interface feels a bit rigid and somewhat outdated compared with other modern SaaS tools, which can make navigation feel clunky—especially for non-technical users. On top of that, the learning curve is exceptionally steep. New team members often need a significant amount of training to fully understand how the system works, and that can slow down onboarding and even day-to-day operations during the early stages.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Workday, our financial data was scattered across multiple legacy systems and spreadsheets, which often led to human error and major delays during audit season. Workday has addressed this by consolidating everything into a single source of truth. The biggest benefit is that our data is now more reliable, and we spend far less time on manual data entry, corrections, and rework.

 ### 8. Quick and Automated with Great Operational Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh K. | Admin, Packaging and Containers, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I find Workday Financial Management very quick with many automations, which helps a lot in managing tasks efficiently. I like the operations analysis, especially having charts that quickly show our expenses and other factors like the cost of goods. The ability to change my view to monthly, yearly, or quarterly is also very helpful. I appreciate that I don't have to go through huge reports every day to get data for operations. The initial setup was super easy, and the videos provided help in understanding the concept of each feature.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

There aren't many customizable features available. I would like to have a feature where each employee can look at a different type of screen, customizable to their work.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management is very quick and has many automations. I like having charts that quickly show our expenses, cost of goods, and other factors with flexible views. I don't have to go through huge reports every day to get operational data.

 ### 9. Automates Expenses and Makes Reporting a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel R. | Product Support Analyst I, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

What I love the most about Workday Financial Management is automating daily accounting expanses, making it easier to build and share reports. I mainly use it for company related expanses, and it really helps keeping things organized and with clear boundaries.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

In general, it’s very positive, but I’d say that it’s interface is not very user friendly, which makes it hard to use and find things sometimes. Related to this, the usability is not very intuitive, but that won’t keep you from using it, it’ll just make it a little harder.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use it for expenses, reports and reimbursements, and it helps me by automating the reports and info recognition, so I don’t have to manually type the expanses or fill in all details in the report.

 ### 10. All-in-One Financial Reporting and Approvals with Real-Time Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kourosh R. | Senior Finance and Accounting Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I like having financial data, reporting, and approvals all in one place. It saves time and improves visibility. The software makes it easy to access real-time financial information for better decision-making.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

The biggest drawback is the cost. Workday Financial Management is a powerful platform, but the licensing, implementation, and ongoing support expenses can be difficult to justify, especially for smaller organizations. While the functionality is strong, the total cost of ownership can be significantly higher than many competing solutions

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management helps us consolidate accounting, reporting, and approvals into a single platform instead of relying on multiple systems and spreadsheets. This has improved visibility into our financial data, reduced manual work, and made the month-end close and reporting more efficient. The real-time reporting and strong integrations also help our team make faster decisions and spend less time reconciling information across different systems

 ### 11. Revolutionized Our Financial Tracking and Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaiyu C. | Financial Analyst FP&A, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I like how Workday Financial Management helps me to keep everything in one place and makes the reporting process more efficient. It's easy to access data, track expenses, and get a better overview of budget performance. I appreciate the reporting and dashboard features; they work really well and make it easier to review financial results and support decision-making. The system helps me to quickly see key financial data, compare budgets to actuals, and identify trends without spending as much time pulling reports manually.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

Sometimes it can feel a little complex to navigate, especially when finding specific reports or details.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday Financial Management to keep all financial data organized, accurately track budgets and expenses, reducing manual work. It gives me better visibility into financial performance, aids efficient reporting, and enables quick access to key data, supporting decision-making through excellent dashboard features.

 ### 12. Real-Time Insights and Automation That Streamline Financial Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greta S. | Risk Operations Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I like that Workday Financial Management provides real-time financial insights in a unified platform. Its automation, intuitive user experience, and powerful reporting tools help organizations make faster, data-driven decisions while streamlining financial processes.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

The main drawback is the initial learning curve, particularly for users unfamiliar with Workday's approach to financial management and reporting. That said, once users become comfortable with the system, its automation and real-time insights provide significant value.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management helps eliminate data silos and manual financial processes by centralizing financial information and providing real-time reporting. This benefits me by improving efficiency, reducing errors, and giving me faster access to the insights I need to make informed decisions.

 ### 13. Enhanced Budget Visibility, Complex Setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praney M. | Product Design Manager 2, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I genuinely appreciate the budget visibility feature of Workday Financial Management because it allows us to check where a department or project stands against its budget instantly, without having to wait on a report from finance. This immediate access is crucial for making confident operational decisions day to day. I also like the consistency with Workday HCM since having financial and HR data in the same environment reduces context switching and connects people and cost data in a way that's very useful for resourcing decisions.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

The reporting interface is probably the biggest frustration. Building custom reports requires more technical familiarity with the platform than most operational users have, and getting exactly the view you need often means either learning Workday's reporting logic in some depth or relying on someone in finance to set it up for you. For a tool that is supposed to give teams more self-service visibility that dependency is a bit contradictory. The interface more generally feels dense in places. Navigating to specific functions or finding the right workflow for a less frequent task takes more effort than it should, and for team members who are not in the platform regularly there is a relearning overhead that slows things down. It is a capable platform but the user experience in certain areas feels like it was built for power users rather than the broader operational audience that ends up needing to use it. The implementation had a steep learning curve and there were points where we needed external support to get certain workflows configured correctly. Even after go live there was a period of refinement where things were not quite working as expected and required adjustments.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management gives us real-time budget visibility, speeding up decision-making and reducing reliance on finance reports. It streamlines approval workflows, minimizing email back-and-forth. Its connection with Workday HCM aids in headcount planning without switching between systems.

 ### 14. All-in-One Financial Management in One Place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lois N. | Junior Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I love how it brings everything together in one place. Instead of juggling separate systems for accounting, procurement, and reporting, you get a single source of truth. It really feels like everything is all under one roof.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

I dislike Workday Financial Management because its rigid, opinionated processes force companies to adapt to the software instead of the software adapting to them. In particular, I really hate the clunky journal entry structure and the frustrating Excel integration.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a finance user, you spend less time wrestling with spreadsheets and reconciliations, which frees you up to focus on analyzing business performance rather than chasing down data. As a manager or executive, you get real-time visibility into budgets, approvals, and overall financial health, so you can make faster, more confident decisions without having to wait for month-end reports.

 ### 15. Boosts Financial Efficiency with Real-Time Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shraddha U. | Finance Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I really like Workday Financial Management's user-friendly interface and real-time reporting capabilities. It makes accessing financial data and managing approvals efficient. I appreciate the automation features that reduce manual work and boost accuracy. Its centralized system helps our teams collaborate better, and the customizable dashboards make tracking important KPIs simple. Overall, it supports quicker and informed financial decision-making.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

One area that could be improved in Workday Financial Management is the system’s learning curve for new users, as some features and configurations can initially feel complex. Certain reports and customization options may also require additional training or technical support. At times, the platform can feel slightly slow when handling large data sets or generating detailed reports. Improving flexibility in customization and making some workflows more intuitive would further enhance the overall user experience.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday Financial Management to handle daily finance tasks and improve efficiency. It solves issues related to manual finance processes, delayed reporting, and enhances real-time data visibility, decision-making, and workflow automation. It also helps access centralized financial data easily and reduces errors.

 ### 16. Streamlined AP Workflows with Powerful Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ami S. | Accounts Payable Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I had used Workday Financial Management to manage the full accounts payable cycle, including processing invoices, approvals, vendor management, payment tracking, and reporting. I also monitored team productivity, resolved invoice discrepancies, and generated reports in real time. The thing I liked the most is its user-friendly interface and the visibility it provides into the entire accounts payable process. For me, the ability to access financial data quickly and generate reports on demand has been extremely useful. The interface makes it easier for both new and experienced team members to navigate the system with minimal training. The real-time reporting is especially valuable because it gives immediate visibility into AP activity and financial data without waiting for manual updates or separate report generation. I can quickly identify bottlenecks, monitor outstanding invoices, and track team workload to support month-end close activities more effectively. Additionally, it's a strong financial management platform with excellent workflow automation, reporting capabilities, and visibility into financial operations.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

One challenge is that certain workflow can feel overly complex, especially when handling exception or non-standard invoices. Also the reporting function is powerful, but creating highly customized report can have a learning curve and may require additional training for users who are not familiar with the system.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday Financial Management to manage the full accounts payable cycle, automate invoice routing, and track payments. It reduces manual data entry, provides visibility into approvals, and prevents payment delays. The user-friendly interface aids team navigation with minimal training.

 ### 17. Modern UI Simplifies Procurement, Needs More Customization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M. | Senior Technical Writer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I like using Workday Financial Management for streamlining the procurement process, as it means we don't have to handle requests through emails or documents directly. Instead, the use of formal channels in Workday simplifies the process. The UI is a big plus for me as it's much more modern compared to what we used before. I also appreciate the suggested prefilled fields and the configuration options available, allowing different users to see only the relevant fields they need. This customization really helps in reducing complexity, especially for those who aren't directly working in procurement. The guide feature is also quite useful, assisting people in filling out the necessary details like cost codes and centers. Overall, it's a more straightforward and modern tool fitting well with our other software solutions.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

There could be more flexibility to have more custom fields. In our business, it all gets quite complicated, but we have to fit into a relatively rigid system. The fields you can customize are relatively constrained, and a bit more flexibility would be helpful.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday Financial Management to streamline the procurement process, avoiding direct emails or documents. It makes requisition recording and requests more formal and organized.

 ### 18. Comprehensive and Robust for Large Enterprises

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashirwad T. | Associate Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I really appreciate the drill-down capability in Workday Financial Management. It's a huge time-saver because I can click through a high-level reconciliation balance directly to individual invoices or journal lines without having to jump between different systems. It streamlines the Record to Report workflow and keeps audit trails centralized and cloud-based. Workday eliminates the nightmare of version control and manual data matching that spreadsheets bring during period-end close. It's a single source of truth that standardizes the reconciliation process, handles high-volume transactions automatically, and attaches audit trails directly to journal entries. I also find the advanced, real-time reporting features and automated journal creation very useful. Plus, as a cloud-native platform, it's fast and accessible no matter where the team is working.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

The interface can feel a bit rigid sometimes, especially when you are first learning where everything lives. Setting up custom automated reconciliation rules or pulling very specific, non-standard reports can be a bit clunky and usually requires some trial and error to get the logic exactly right. It’s a powerful tool if you handle heavy reconciliation volumes, but make sure your team invests in proper training upfront to understand the data logic, otherwise, navigation can feel overwhelming at first. The initial setup was a pretty heavy lift. From an RTR perspective, the biggest challenge was the data mapping phase. Setting up the automated reconciliation rules and getting the matching logic exactly right also required a lot of trial and error. There was definitely a steep learning curve for the team initially, and it required a lot of change management and training.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management eliminates the nightmare of version control and manual data matching during period-end close by acting as a single source of truth. It speeds up timelines and reduces audit stress with automatic transaction handling and attached audit trails.

 ### 19. Streamlines Financial Management with Room for Payment Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily M. | Conference Center Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I love that Workday Financial Management is an all-in-one space where I can keep track of everything without having to manage multiple accounts. It's not a one-trick pony but performs multiple tasks like submitting payments, tracking funds, requesting time off, or hiring a new employee all from one spot, without having to navigate through multiple pages. Although the initial setup was tricky since it was something new, now it's super easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

I wish there was a way to take credit card payments with Workday Financial Management. We have to use Touchnet and then enter it manually into Workday. For checks and cash it's similar but that makes sense.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management centralizes tasks, eliminating the need to manage multiple accounts. I can track finances, submit payments, manage hires, and request time off all in one place.

 ### 20. Seamless Integration, Needs UI Refinements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abraham A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I find Workday Financial Management to be a transformative force for our team due to its seamless integration, especially with StoreForce. The shift to Workday has created a real-time financial ecosystem, eliminating manual data entry lag and automating processes like weekly accruals and labor costs. This integration helps streamline workflows and provides a unified financial source of truth. Additionally, the UI interface is interactive and friendly, making it easy to switch to Workday for a swift workflow. I was particularly impressed with the quick payroll processing compared to our previous system, significantly improving efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

Workday primarily has drawbacks with a heavy UI and vague error messaging. This often leads to troubleshooting StoreForce integration failures frequently, forcing team members into manual Excel workarounds for quick reconciliations. These system gaps disrupt flow by creating bottlenecks. Vague integration errors force the team into investigation mode, stalling regular processing. The lack of a quick math UI necessitates manual Excel efforts, doubling the work.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workday Financial Management to unify payroll, expenses, and ledger into a real-time environment, solving data fragmentation. It automates data entry from StoreForce, speeding up payroll processing and making it a transformative tool for our team's financial ecosystem.

 ### 21. Intuitive UI and Real-Time Reporting That Streamline Financial Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruchi P. | Program Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

What I like most about Workday Financial Management is its intuitive user interface and real-time reporting capabilities. It provides a unified platform that integrates financial data across functions, improving visibility and decision-making. The automation of routine processes like journal entries and approvals saves time and reduces errors. Additionally, its cloud-based architecture ensures easy access, scalability, and regular updates without heavy maintenance.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

One downside of Workday Financial Management is that its initial implementation and configuration can be complex and time-consuming, especially for organizations with unique requirements. The reporting and customization capabilities, while powerful, often require advanced knowledge, which can create a learning curve for new users. Additionally, certain processes may feel less flexible compared to legacy systems, and troubleshooting issues can sometimes depend heavily on support or consultants.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management helps solve challenges like fragmented financial data, manual processes, and delayed reporting. By centralizing financial operations on a single platform, it improves data accuracy and provides real-time visibility into financial performance. This has significantly reduced reconciliation efforts, streamlined approvals, and accelerated month-end close. As a result, decision-making is faster and more data-driven, and overall operational efficiency has improved.

 ### 22. Real-Time Insights and Flexible Low/No-Code Customization in Workday

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle V. | Sr. Director of Accounting Integrations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

Users love that data, events, and notifications are all real time, with controls built in. They also appreciate the discovery boards, which let them easily create reports and visualizations tailored to their individual needs. Less frequent users like that Workday meets them where they are by plugging into Microsoft Teams, along with support through the mobile app.

IT teams love that Workday is a low/no-code platform, making configuration and customization straightforward for their customers. Workday Extend builds on these capabilities, allowing organizations to create custom apps and functionality that look and feel native to Workday by using the same GUI, data, and security model.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

Implementation is complicated, time consuming, and expensive (Organizations should not attempt this without an implementation partner). Post-implementation, it is difficult and painful to adapt Workday to large organizational changes or transformations. This requires FDM (foundational data model) changes which impact reporting and metrics and often require large security model changes as well. There is also a steep learning curve for IT; this often requires hiring new staff and external service providers. Reporting, although robust and powerful, also requires deep expertise or outside help.

Users must switch to using Workday's terminology. For example, Workday is looking for the keyword Supplier, not Vendor. It would be nice if Workday's AI could recognize these as the similar and return results people are looking for. You can customize what results are returned for specific searches, but this requires monitoring and can be time consuming.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday has allowed us to move to a centralized back-office support model much quicker than would have been possible. This has also allowed for a seamless user experience for Finance and HR processes; which is especially important for associates who do not use Workday on a regular basis.

 ### 23. Comprehensive and Modern ERP Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego M. | Onboarding team, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I appreciate that Workday Financial Management has multiple different features that are all very useful. I like being able to review my payments to make sure everything is correct, and I can also check how much time off I have left and see my employment information. It's really convenient to have access to the information at any time to ensure accuracy. Accessing payroll information helps me understand my wage and create a budget, which is important for me. Plus, Workday Financial Management feels more modern compared to other ERP systems I've used, and it integrates different solutions into one, which seems better than having multiple products for the same tasks.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

Some workflows feel unintuitive. Drilling down payroll details and switching between budget views can take more clicks than expected. Accessing the Workday courses can be tricky.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management makes it easy to request time off, review payroll, and update employment details quickly. I can ensure my information is accurate any time, understand my wage, and create a budget.

 ### 24. Streamlined Financial Management with Real-Time Analytics

**Reviewed by:** Akshat K. | associate consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I like that Workday Financial Management brings financial data, reporting, and business processes together under one roof. The real-time reporting and analytics capabilities provide better visibility into financial performance, and the intuitive dashboard makes it easier to access key information. I also appreciate the workflow automation features.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

Some areas can be improved as advanced configuration may need a steep learning curve and additional training. Performance also slows down during working with large datasets. It also needs some out-of-the-box integrations for more flexibility.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Workday Financial Management reduces manual processes, consolidates financial data, improves reporting accuracy, and manages workflows efficiently. It brings finance processes together, providing real-time reporting and intuitive dashboards for better visibility.

 ### 25. Streamlined Processes and Real-Time Financial Insights with Workday

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manish S. | Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

Streamlined processes, real-time financial insights

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

Rolling it out can be time-consuming and costly, especially for large organizations with legacy systems.
Also, while the interface looks modern, it takes a lot of training for finance teams to feel comfortable with advanced functions.
Further, customization options aren’t as deep as some older ERP platforms, so companies often have to adapt their processes to fit Workday rather than the other way around.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One don’t have to wait for end-of-month reports; one can see up-to-date financials instantly, which helps with faster decision-making.
Built-in controls and audit trails reduce the risk of errors and make regulatory reporting smoother.
Things like expense management, approvals, and reporting get streamlined, freeing up time for more strategic work.

 ### 26. Efficient All-in-One Financial Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Imran H. | Senior Planner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

I highly rate Workday Financial Management for being an all-in-one system for all people and payroll processes. It replaces multiple systems holding different versions of data and helps me work more efficiently. I appreciate its all-in-one integrated system, which is simple and easy to adopt. Additionally, I value the 'My Organogram' feature as it helps me communicate with people I haven't met but know are working in the company. The initial setup was very easy and simple.

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

The 'Showcase Your Best Self' feature might need further improvement. I feel that when I provide information about myself, it's not correctly communicated to others. There should be better push communication within the organization, like when I complete a training and update my profile, it should be shared in some way.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday Financial Management replaces multiple systems, unifying people and payroll processes for efficient work and easy adoption.

 ### 27. Workday’s Unified Architecture Powers Scalable, Real-Time Finance Transformation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ranjeet R. | Director Financial Systems and Support, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?**

As a Financial Systems leader, what I value most is Workday’s unified architecture. It eliminates data silos and allows us to design scalable, end‑to‑end financial processes across the organization. The platform’s real‑time analytics, strong governance model, and capabilities make it a strategic asset for transforming finance operations

**What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?**

What I dislike most is that Workday still has room to mature in its Account Reconciliation and Bank Statement Reconciliation capabilities. The native tools don’t fully support more complex reconciliation scenarios, and the processes often require manual steps or workarounds. Enhancing automation, matching rules, and workflow in these areas would bring Workday closer to being an end‑to‑end financial close solution.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday is solving many limitations we had with PeopleSoft — especially around real‑time reporting, workflow automation, and reducing manual processes. It gives us a modern, flexible platform that supports a faster close, better controls, and improved visibility into financial data.

I use Workday Financial Management for payroll, tracking time off, and monitoring when employees are in or out. It's easy to run reports and find or update information quickly, helping me keep up with PTO and payroll efficiently.

It is fundamentally different than most ERPs I've experienced historically. That's not necessarily a bad thing but for change management/user adoption it takes some time to learn.

**What problems is Workday Financial Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a more modern take on the ERP and is really easy to use. It has AI capabilities and allows for a single solution for accounting, planning, and procurement.
