"Real-Time Scenario Modeling That Makes Budget “What Ifs” Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about Workday Adaptive Planning?

The scenario modeling is where it really earns its keep. Being able to run real-time “what if” budget shifts against headcount and revenue, without waiting on finance to rebuild a spreadsheet, makes a big difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Adaptive Planning?

Setup takes longer than the 4.5-month average they quote. If you don't have a dedicated internal resource and clean data ready, add a few months.

Marketing integrations need custom work. Campaign data sitting next to financial forecasts sounds good; getting there costs extra time and budget.

The tool is built for finance teams. Marketers and ops people can learn it, but there's a real curve.

Pricing is contact-sales only. Hard to build an internal business case before the vendor gets involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Big-Picture Planning and Fast Scenario Impact in Workday Adaptive Planning"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday Adaptive Planning?

One of the things I like most about Workday Adaptive Planning is how easy it is to see the bigger picture. A small change to a business assumption whether it's hiring plans, revenue targets, or expenses, instantly shows its impact across the entire business, helping teams make faster and more confident decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Adaptive Planning?

It can take some time to get comfortable with all of its capabilities, especially for new users. While it's great for planning and forecasting, making certain model or reporting changes often requires administrator support, which can slow things down a bit. For quick, ad-hoc analyses, I still find Excel more flexible at times. That said, these are relatively minor drawbacks compared to the value it provides in bringing budgeting, forecasting etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamline Planning, but with a Learning Curve"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday Adaptive Planning?

I like Workday Adaptive Planning because it helps me solve financial planning problems and detect significant variations in income, expenses, and costs, which makes it easier for me to make decisions more quickly. It allows me to centralize data and create scenarios, generating organized reports for the management of all involved areas. It also helps me solve problems of financial information scattered across various files and areas. The platform helps eliminate manual errors and improves the tracking of variations, facilitating the preparation of reports for optimal decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Adaptive Planning?

It feels a bit intuitive at first, especially for those who come from primarily working in Excel. The learning curve can be steep for Workday Adaptive Planning, especially in reporting functions, scenarios, and configurations that are not so intuitive at the beginning. It is necessary to understand well how the model is built to make the most of it, and although the initial implementation is well organized, it can become complicated to make adjustments or find certain data quickly.
