  ### 5. Great Customisable Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary J. | Business Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

As no two businesses are the same it is tough to find a CRM solution that can cater for our needs. The great thing about Workbooks is how, with a little scripting knowledge, I was able to construct a database that was user friendly and adapted perfectly to our needs. By adding fields that relate to our business we are now able to produce detailed reports enabling us to give accurate analysis of our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Certain aspects could be improved. For instance the line item section on sales records has a locked size and it would be great if this could be expandable to more line items could be seen without scrolling through. The email creator is also very basic and reverts to a default font when beginning a new email, which is an issue as we have a company font we use in all our correspondence.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

If you have been looking for a CRM solution but have been unable to find anything that can satisfy all of your requirements then give Workbooks a go as it adaptability allows you to build the database around what you need. The team are always happy to solve problems and guide you through the setup and everyday workings.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to create all of our project documents in Excel spreadsheets and contact we shared via an messy outlook contacts list. It was a messy and very time consuming affair to create any type of report based on our work and errors would go unreported. Workbooks enables us to keep a maintained database of contacts, projects and financial documents. The powerful reporting system allows me to have a complete, live understanding of what is going on and if anything needs to be actioned, for example if invoices need to be raised or if draft documents have not been completed or deleted.

  ### 6. Workbooks the CRM package for a modern day sales team.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

The way workbooks integrates on a multitude of platforms to suit everyone's personal tastes.
With this flexibility you can update the system in real time without the need for lengthy reports to be completed once your day is done on the road.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

the platform can sometimes be cumbersome when you don't use the correct software for items such as tablets where only chrome works properly.
the app is also very un-user friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Get a free trial....it will surprise you!

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A tracking of clients has proven to be easier and more opportunities don't go un actioned.

  ### 7. Great flexibility and highly functional software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick J. | E-Commerce Specialist, Biotechnology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Workbooks has given our business the flexibility it needs in a CRM and has provided great usability for our business. The system is modular by nature and provides great business usage for sales & marketing, product catalogues, business reporting and more.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

My only main suggestion would be to allow for greater customization in the PDF template area - changing PDF templates is quite technical by nature in the system and a such requires knowledge of XML.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

A great piece of software that doesn't come with the huge overhead cost that some others do.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed full visibility of our sales figures and orders throughout 2013-2014 and Workbooks has allowed us to realize that. As someone who has used multiple systems around the market, Workbooks provides great functionality in its modules.

  ### 8. Capable but Complex

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave T. | Software Engineer, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Workbooks is *very* customizable. We've got custom layouts for certain classes of customers on some forms, automated processes running through the API, even our statements print out in a browser with a PHP plug-in. The entire organisation can see customer history from initial contact through quoting to the sale and later support.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

With all the power there is a good deal of complexity. Understanding the workflow that the software was built for can really help. Setup of all the customizations can take a while. Big database changes are throttled, so some bulk updates can take a while.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Purchase the consulting time from Workbooks. Have the experts walk you through and save yourself a bunch of time. Have someone available to you to build functionality, or hire workbooks to do it. You can automate so many processes!

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to track the complete sales process and then transition to supporting customers. Doing this in two separate systems was a huge hassle. We are a software company and also need to be able to use an API for checking our customers' software licensing and upgrade availability.

  ### 9. Workbooks

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Clean & easy UI. Simple to find way around the system

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Integration with external database is "buggy", and not working as it should, meaning we're not getting full benefot from the system

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of clients & prospects - follow-up to invitees and attendees at events

  ### 10. Simply the best CRM..... WORKBOOKS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Everything! It is easy to use and to maintain.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Ability to set up a test system and then migrate changes to the "live" database.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

It is a very user friendly, intuitive to use and very good value..

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have a complete process cycle including invoicing in place which is clearly visible to all staff. The main benefit for us is that we can clearly identify the projects we need to concentrate on securing and it has also allowed us to rank our customers.

  ### 11. Interesting Product

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Once we re-evaluated the way we record opportunities and leads, Workbooks was able to offer us forecast reports

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

As with any software there will always be room for improvement, I am hoping Workbooks will be reactive to queries and suggestions

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workbooks replaced a number of other tools and spread sheets to bring all our data into one place

  ### 12. A flexible and user friendly experience with plenty of scope to make a CRM system that works for you

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee R. | Programme Manager (Business & Built Environment), Renewables & Environment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

The best aspect of workbooks is the ability to create a variety of relationships between people, organisations and activities that can describe very complex networks to users. The reporting system is also very good in getting the information you need out of the system quickly ans systematically. We looked at other systems, which are all inflexible and based solely on sales operators using it rather than a wider group of team members

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

The only aspect of the system that is more difficult to work with is getting buy in from team members to understand the complexity of the system, which can work to their benefit. However this is looking for issues rather than any genuine concerns

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business manages a large number of relationships across an industry and is predominantly IP based in terms of our 'products'. Therefore, Workbooks provides that best customizable system available to us which can manage this way of working. The benefits we have realised have been better membership sales and servicing of clients, as well as spotting opportunities for future development of our services

  ### 13. Functional but clunky at times

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

it has a mostly logical interface and is fairly user friendly

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

not being able to upload documents to workbooks directly from an email
not being able to rearrange files in a folder

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

keeping confidential files accessible to a number of allowed colleagues with varying access permissions

  ### 14. Main administrator for Workbooks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claire M. | Business Development Manager, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Simple- easy to use CRM system. Good reporting function

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Nothing so far! We have only had the system since January.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

A simple, easy to use system.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all client info in 1 place. Not duplicating phone calls and sales calls

  ### 15. Workbooks is the spine of our business...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jag M. | Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

The aspect of Workbooks that really stands out over and above other CRM providers is it's flexibility - we are yet to encounter a business process that we haven't been able to incorporate into Workbooks. Furthermore anyone can carry out the necessary development work quickly via the Workbooks interface without the need for technical input/code writing. This enables us to develop how we do business organically and Workbooks can functionalise our ideas very quickly and easily. Also the support is great and I like the fact that they are UK based and you can go visit them!

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Nothing. I do look forward thought to when we will have more out of the box integrations to other cloud providers and services in the same way that Salesforce has. E.g. Natterbox, Survey Monkey, BI dashboard providers like Sisense or Tableau.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

It's brilliant, just bear in mind what you might want to integrate with in the future.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workbooks is extremely intuitive. We use it as both our CRM and ERP systems and we simply love it. It strikes the perfect balance between being powerful and functional yet very easy to use and understand straight out of the box. Workbooks future-proofs us and allows us to analyse, adapt and grow very quickly. It's the spine of our whole business.

  ### 16. Easy to use with tons of functionality.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

It's ease of use and accessibility through any browser or location meaning we can work from different locations.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

The requirement of connectivity, meaning that actually despite being able to work anywhere - it's pretty fundamental to have internet access.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

If you're looking for a quality product which not only has the functionality but the the right price tag, Workbooks is for you.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating new cases and workflow is made manageable and can be customised to the way our different business functions work. This makes it absolutely essential in our day to day operations and makes it easy for us to track what is going on with any different customer at any different time.

  ### 17. 18 months down the line

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martijn D. | Media Adviseur, Publishing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

I have worked with many CRM systems from a Sales perspective in various organization (mostly media sales and publishing). The thing that stands out for me most working with Workbooks is the intuitive way with which it operates. Most of the people on my sales team are pretty tech savvy, and are used to working with CRM systems. We are how ever employing a team of administrative workers who are rather reluctant when embracing new technologies and change in general. I was amazed at how quickly they embraced working with Workbooks. The fact that it has a similarity with their Windows environment (start button at the bottom of the screen etc.). made the change that much easier.

The fact that it is a cloud based service gave my sales team more freedom to operate and keep everyone informed on their progress even while away from the office. Because of this we have been able to quickly respond to developments in the field which has expended our opportunities.

The implementation of old data into workbooks went rather smoothly as well. As well as the general set up of the business. We worked with a local partner of Workbooks in the Netherlands, and they have helped us a great deal in respects to getting a clear view on what we needed etc.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Do date there is nothing I dislike about this service.
I would like to know more about the app solution, since this has been a request from my sales team multiple times.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

We have found that it suits all our needs and more. It's a great service that allows us to grow and grows with us in terms of scalability.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workbooks has helped us on a number of levels. We have integrated our sales and marketing data bases, now seeing a direct correlation between our sales clients and our marketing efforts (the mail chimp integration has also made sending specific mailings to specific target groups faster, more cost effective and has yielded higher results, because of our ability to respond quickly to developments on the sales front.

Also sending invoices, confirmation orders and offers has become of great value through PDF template generation.

All in all Workbooks has it all in terms of our needs and requirements.

  ### 18. Great CRM system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judy B. | Operations Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Workbooks is easy to use and easy to customise, additionally it has allowed us much more freedom to gather relevant information as well as allowing us to report this back to our clients with much more granularity than we ever have before.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Workbooks is object based and therefore very different to our previous CRM system, once this is understood the rest all falls into place.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Highly recommended. Excellent service offered throughout and a great tool.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous CRM system had a habit of generating errors and the support service offered was poor by comparison the support offered by Workbooks is prompt and efficient. The online help is a great resource, as is the Knowledge forum. All calls to the help desk have been handled professionally and any issues thrown up as part of our migration have been resolved.

  ### 19. Capture of client data for a particular programme for BIC Innovation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Web access
Intuitive to use
lots of flexibility in linking people to organisations (as some clients work for multiple organisations)

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Saving and existing from the various data views is clunky
quite slow to update screens even over a fairly fast internet connections (7Mb/s)

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A consistent approach to saving vital client data in one place.
Will allow marketing of other programmes to clients

  ### 20. Extremely flexible CRM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael W. | Managing Director, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Extremely customisable, flexible and scalable with an intuitive user interface for most tasks.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Prohibitively expensive education/support. That said, there is a good bank of free information, users guides and users forum on the website which means most questions can be answered with a bit of digging.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Workbooks is not the cheapest, nor the easiest to use right out of the box - but it offers significantly more flexibility and customisation than other CRM products that I have evaluated.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a CRM system that could be customised to suit the unique requirements of our customer and product base (services and online products delivered to schools). Workbooks has allowed us to adapt easily to the changing needs of our fast growing business.

  ### 21. A great comprehensive CRM system backed-up by a helpful support team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Its reasonably intuitive to use. Menus and Dashboards are easy to understand and use.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

It has been a little inflexible on a few tasks that we needed to do to fit our business needs.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding more clearly our leads progress and opportunities pipeline.

  ### 22. Workbooks is easy to use tool for your Sales Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelda R. | National Sales Manager, Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

I love the easily changeable views so you can see the data you want in the layout you want. Our team, of whom some were new to using CRM has learnt to use it and use it daily, so its easy to learn and quick to use on a day to day basis, which was important to us.
The support we have had from our distributor of Workbooks, Broadcoast in Australia has been excellent which has helped us get up to speed quickly and painlessly.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

The reporting took me a few attempts to get my head around it, but I have grasped it now and its very powerful. Sometimes I find the search function to be a little dumb as it needs an almost exact spelling to work.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Clean up your database prior to loading into the CRM, which is probably a good plan for anyone implementing a CRM.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were not able to track our sales pipeline, and record meeting notes, quotes and customer contact details. We are also integrating it with Mail Chimp to log our campaigns which before were not logged.

  ### 23. Workbooks

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothy H. | UK Sales Manager, Leisure, Travel & Tourism, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

It works, however I'm not sure that we are utilising it in the best way.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Lack of generic flexibility, you can do everything you want, however it'll cost you to have total flexibility.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Look carefully at what your requirements are and ensure that this is sorted via reports and changes to the way that the program works,

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not sure that it has helped in solving issues, nor whether we have realised any benefits.

  ### 24. workbooks from scratch

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

It is cloud based and easy to integrate initially

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Targeted towards sales and producing invoices, I am not in that type of business

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Takes time to learn the many ways to use its features if you are not proficient in another CRM

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use and syncing with data is easy, have to sort out the fields I don't use

  ### 25. Great CRM for an expanding SME

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darren M. | Owner, Alternative Medicine, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

A CRM for Free, just the job for a growing SME. We can search our new potential customers and staff from our database. We can intergrate as much or as little of the business onto the system as we need to

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Some limitatiations possibly as we only use the free version at present and this means that we cannot customise the CRM, but to be honest at this stage we do not need to do.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Start with the free version and see if its for you and your business. It works for me and mine.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needing to expand my business and store, sort, and search out new customers from our database or find attitional workers in a particular part of the country, has now been made easy due to the amount of information you are able to store on people and customers. It has made expansion of my business easier and quicker.

  ### 26. Perfect tool for helping get a start-up business running effectively in a key area

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roger C. | Director, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Interface, online support, ease of importing data.
We were able to get a basic grasp of the system very quickly - this was the key reason we chose Workbooks over other options we tried.
Being Internet hosted is a massive benefit also.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Fake 'personalised' emails from local reseller...
Some aspects are not intuitive (best practise for follow-up activity for example) but in fairness, we haven't taken this up with anyone. If I can't find an answer online, I move on or work round it.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Have a clear goal in mind - what do you want to achieve from Workbooks?

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single repository for prospects and clients. Good for exporting segmented information for mail merge or other activity.

  ### 27. Great Product so far, I expect with more use, Workbooks will far exceed my expectations

**Reviewed by:** Tom R. | Account Executive, Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

I love the SAAS capabilities of Workbooks, it was very easy to customize and add fields and the support i have received from Brian Walsh of Lucid Switch has been exceptional.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

No dislikes at present......................

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Workbooks is a no brainer, you really should look at it if you are looking for a new crm solution

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have moved from ACT by Sage, comparing the two products is like night and day

  ### 28. The perfect CRM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike W. | Director, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

We have tried numerous CRMs over the years and workbooks has been the only one that has ticked all the boxes for us. Because of the nature of our business we have a fast growing and ever changing customer base and Workbooks API's have enables us to hook straight into our own userbase and provided us with the power to really keep in touch with our customers at precisely the right time.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

To be truthful we haven't got any major gripes with Workbooks. It really has suited our needs perfectly over the years and although change is good sometimes, with Workbooks perhaps thats not the case.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We enjoy a fairly large number of customers joining us each day and it has become increasingly difficult to manually nurture those customers. Workbooks has really helped us to stay in tune with the customers who need us the most.

  ### 29. Excellent. Great product which has helped streamline our business processes considerably

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Ease of use and reporting functionality

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Would like better mobile device functionality

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Well worth. Look if you're looking for something intuitive and effective from a CRM solution.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Process workflow and streamlining many business functions from quoting, raising supplier PO's, Invoices and generally giving much better visibility over marketing and sales campaigns and activities

  ### 30. Workbooks CRM Mobilisation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rhian B. | Head of Sales (healthcare IT), Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Workbooks is simple and intuitive to use for the most part of the system and all of the support is fantastic. We needed very little training in getting key staff members up and running with basic functions.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

The reporting functions and importing functions are difficult to get to grips with and the reporting dashboards are not brilliant.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

I would recommend Workbooks for sales teams for opportunity management but you need to be happy with simple reports and no really useful dashboards (although this may still be my level of user proficiency).
Marketing campaigns are simple to set up and report on but importing data isn't quite as slick as we would like it to be.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing of account information across the business and pipeline management. We are now fully operational with all of our sales pipelines within Workbooks.

  ### 31. Daily use for inputting B2B orders and running sales reports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve M. | Head of Sales, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Ease of use; simplicity of updates and reporting.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

No ability to 'template' entries for new products - must enter line by line
No shortcuts for order entry.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Ideal for any new business that is serious in B2B sales

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Professional and accurate order entry, B2B clarity of orders and professional invoicing.

  ### 32. The Most User Friendly CRM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan S. | Financial Analyst II, Broadcast Media, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2013

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

The GUI for Workbooks is incredibly user friendly. The system is easy to customize and doesn't require a robust IT staff to do so. Workbooks has allowed us to combine the separate instances we had on Salesforce for account mangagement and sales into one system, at at a very reasonable price; we were able to double our users for the same price we were paying Salesforce.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

The system can be a bit buggy at times. From a user perspective, these bugs are probably minimal, but as a system administrator the bugs can sometimes be a setback from a time management standpoint. However, beggars can't be choosers, and I will accept these minor glitches if it means not having to go back to our old CRM!

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Make sure you understand exactly how much data you have to carry over from your existing CRM, if there is one. Make sure you understand exactly how long the implementation will take before you set the expectations for your user base.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to improve communication among departments. With the ability to combine sales and account management under one system, our company will have much greater visibility. We are also trying to automate some basic tasks, such as customer support and lead management/generation. With the Web-to-Case and Web-to-Lead functionality of Workbooks, these can easily be acheived!

  ### 33. Best CRM for Accountants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gavin T. | Major Accounts Manager, Information Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Ease of use, the ability to give different users a custom layout of a record type so that one groups needs don’t impact on another’s usability, and also the scheduled reporting added last year is so helpful.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Nothing, it really is a great solution that helps Accounting Practices maximise their relationships.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

If you’re an accountancy firm then this is the best option to consider. Easier to use than others, flexible reporting, easy segmenting of meaningful Tax and Accounts data, and an interface that partners will find they are willing to use which means everyone benefits.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy tracking of business referrals, new prospect customers, what we have said and sent to them , allowing everyone to see a consistent view and removing duplication and missed opportunitiues.

  ### 34. Amazing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Feature coverage is really amazing, once you can use them on demand.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

To much screens. You need a big screens to use the software

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Start with core features and expand to others

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cover CRM process, with very good integration with Mail Chimp

  ### 35. Great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

It is completely adaptable to suit our business needs.
Love the new calendar option

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

There are a lot of click to finally get to the information you need

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can store so much information, the sky is the limit!

  ### 36. Workbooks for HIT Training

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert P. | Head of ICT, Hospitality, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Workbooks is a fantastic way of us being able track our marketing leads. , providing the opportunity to upsell other services. Most of our users have complimented the system's ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Nothing specific although it has been a challenge to integrate a CRM system into our existing working practices & processes & sharing data with our main management information system has been a challenge. We're hoping to work with Workbooks & our MIS vendor to allow the two systems to share data automatically. The initial user training probably needs to be increased too.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has really helped us improve the tracking of our client contacts. Client communication between the different divisions of the company has improved as we now view all communication with clients

  ### 37. A very good CRM that has replaced Goldmine for us - pricing could be better for SMEs.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carrie L. | Marketing Support Consultant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Highly customisable interface, 'Windows' style menus make it fairly easy to find your way around. Haven't been able to find such a customisable CRM that suited our needs - and I've tested many others!
Allows you to send 'no-frills' emails that are more likely to get read than the fancy, image-laden emails that other mailer softwares force you to send!
Extensive reporting, although fiddly to get your head round how to use it.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Pricing is pretty steep for SMEs to cope with.. wish there was a slightly more affordable pricing structure so we could have more users.
The different aspects and menus within Workbooks can become like Russian dolls - particularly when sending mailshots (you have to create a campaign, which houses the mailshots, which houses the template for the email.. and so on). Can be very confusing if you have too many windows open so the processes could be a bit more guided.
Takes a long time to get used to using it.. online support and guides could be better and more step-by-step. I made my own manual to sending mailshots within Workbooks - 59 pages long - which shows how complicated the process is!
Having said that, once you're used to it, I don't believe there is another better alternative to Goldmine out there. not that I've found anyway.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were relying on using a very old version of Goldmine CRM that was desktop software and therefore the data was not as secured. As Workbooks is cloud-based, everything is backed up automatically which is great.
We have found a way to future-proof our mailout process.

  ### 38. Excellent, powerful and simple CRM

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JEREMY N. B. | Control & Ownership of Electronic Documents | ISO 27001 Compliance, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

I've used most of the well known CRMs and I find WorkBooks to be one of the easiest to use. And it doesn't need loads of consulting work to configure it to suit your environment.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Not quite as many integrated apps available as SalesForce, but much more cost effective.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Has to be a serious contender. If you're even thinking about SalesForce - save yourself some time and money! WorkBooks is a much more user friendly system

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A simple way to record and share all information about your contacts in one place, as well as the fact it connects the many departments with their roles - i.e. sales, technical and accounts save time by having access to all the information in one place

  ### 39. Easy to configure and fast to change

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fiona C. | Product Owner - Accelerated Development and Partnering, Information Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

The user interface is far easier than others we have experienced. The system is very flexible and far more easier to work with than other CRM's out there that tend to more complex and time consuming. Add in the fact that the consultants are knowledgable, friendly and professional and it makes it a winning product for us!

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

I have no criticism here. This is a good product to work with

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are integrating with our own software systems and the API's and Workbooks ease to work with has made this a great experience.

  ### 40. Workbooks was the one for us!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve (Clem) C. | Managing Director, Events Services

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Managing customer relationships, leads, opportunities, quotations, orders and invoices - not forgetting supplier orders - Workbooks does it all!

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

There is a lack of CRM systems out there that can integrate the sales process along with all customary CRM functions without paying substantial sums of money (until Workbooks of course).

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are now able to manage our entire business function in one piece of software. From gathering the sales lead either manually or from our website through to the invoicing stage we have continuity with Workbooks. It has revolutionized our work process. The great thing was that we were able to trial the system with 2 users for free for 6 months before deciding to go ahead and invest in Workbooks. No other system I found allowed you to do this - so the 'try before you buy' concept definitely worked for us!

  ### 41. Most impressed - a flexible yet complete CRM software that has far exceeded my initial expectations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in International Trade and Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Our company has been using Workbooks for some 2 weeks so I cannot say that we have become fully acquainted with all aspects and features. The software however is very flexible allowing one to adjust the templates by including new fields. The views are designed to provide all the information you need in any format as are the reports. Although online, the system response is instantaneous.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

No dislikes yet. It would however be nice to have the option rather than sorting by one column to have the possibility of sorting by multiple columns as in Excel.
We also lost all our input data through one simple mistaken bulk entry transaction that wiped off everything - it is somewhat concerning not to be able to have a backup for restoring in case such a mistake happens. Similarly a single mistakenly deleted record cannot be retrieved. It would also be nice if the system allowed for renaming certain fields - eg renaming "Partner" under organisations to "non Prospect"

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The system is used for prospecting new business and collecting orders from existing clients.

  ### 42. Positive experience of Workbooks during the implementation and rollout stages

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

The similarity of the Workbooks desktop with the Windows desktop gives the users a familiar and easy to navigate system. The flexibility of all the landing pages - it is very easy to add and remove columns to views, create filters and tailor each area to suit the individual and enable them to get the best out of it

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

I cannot think of anything that I dislike about Workbooks

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Try it!

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are implementing Workbooks to replace Sage CRM and give our Sales team a powerful CRM solution with extensive options for filtering data and reporting on sales. We are currently in phase 2 of the rollout by the end of which we anticipate that our users will have many more options for organising their sales data than they have had to date

  ### 43. Exactly what we were looking for in a CRM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan M. | Co Owner, Computer Software

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Our company needed a CRM that was quick to set up and straightforward to use. The short training videos for the various elements of the CRM are concise and give excellent clarification of certain areas of the software about which I was unsure. Layout and functionality feel familiar despite not having used Workbooks.com previously. There is a great deal of functionality, with this CRM, that I am looking forward to using as our requirements, as a company, grow.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

As yet we are still to find something we dislike!

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a new company it was essential that we had our client information organised from the outset and the Workbooks CRM has allowed us to do this easily. At the moment the greatest benefits are those of time saving and a feeling of control over client data.

  ### 44. Workbooks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Huw W. | Post-Sales Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2013

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

I spent a considerable amount of time researching the market and meeting with potential CRM providers. I spoke with all the major players and decided to engage with Workbooks. The team at Workbooks took their time to understand our business and exactly what we needed to get out of a CRM solution. At all times the focus was on what we needed rather than what they wanted us to have. As a result, we have introduced a system that is incredibly intuitive, completely flexible and very simple to use. I wanted a system that we could use immediately, but one that would also grow with us over the coming years. Although we're still in the very early days, I have no doubt that our business will derive huge value from our relationship with Workbooks. Most importantly, the team at Workbooks are not only experts in their field, but are good fun to work with.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

I don't 'dislike' anything. However, if I was to make one suggestion, it would be to increase the time spend training the users when they first start to use Workbooks. The initial half day course is fine for those that are able to pick up new systems and processes easily, but that doesn't always suit the entire user group. We have therefore invested time and resource into delivering additional training to those users that require it.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Workbooks to other businesses. As a business introducing this type of software for the first time, it was important for us to go through the process of speaking with a number of providers. I would certainly suggest that others spend the time comparing the various options available, but have no doubt that they will reach the same conclusion I did.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted a system that would help us to manage the sales and marketing elements of our business. As a national organisation with consultants working remotely, it was important for us to introduce more consistency to the way we work. I also needed our teams to communicate more effectively, sharing ideas and best practice with their peers. Managing these individuals with no data to analyse was near impossible, so the ability to generate reports on activities and pipelines was imperative.

As we're only 6 weeks in, the benefits haven't yet been realised. This is due to us not yet having all users up to speed, rather than the system not delivering the benefits that we were expecting. I am however starting to get a picture of the level of information available to me and our managers and am confident that our objectives when we started this project will be realised in the very near future.

  ### 45. Workbooks ticks all the boxes for me

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Workbooks easy-to-use interface, quick & flexible filtering of data means marketing campaigns are a breeze to manage. It's easy to create a view of data and then share with others without going near any reporting, This means sharing data & useful views is something adopted across a team, and so Workbooks becomes a user tool not a management /techy tool.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

I haven't encountered any features that have not been hugely beneficial as yet.

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

It's got a very modern and easy-to-navigate look and feel, which results in high user adoption because it's an intuitive product to use.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you are on platforms like Salesforce and find them clunky or time consuming, you really should give Workbooks a try - it's faster, easier and more intuitive to use.

  ### 46. Diverse and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becky P. | Internal Operations, Media Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

User interface ensures ease of use, it felt familiar from day one.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Finding pre populated lists in the menus, some are named in a cryptic format

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything from managing sales campaigns to monitoring support contracts.
Allows us to never drop the ball in relation to sales and customer service.

  ### 47. Workbooks CRM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon C. | MD - CCH Software, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

For Accountancy practices this is the easiest CRM to use we have seen and yet has the power of a larger far more costly CRM without the complexity. We have already shown the system to number of practices, both small and large and all have commented on how intuitive the system is and how any of their staff could use it.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

It is hard to find anything that I dislike. There was an initial concern as to whether the system would be too generic for an accountancy practice, but the simplicity in which the systen can be tailored and configured has overcome this very easily.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many of the accountancy practices we work with are now looking to more pro-actively market their services, not just to exisiting clients but to new prospects and business contacts. Accountants are not traditionally at home with sales and marketing techniques and have been asking us for a considerable time to help them with tools and technology that can manage their campaigns more effectively, whilst being easy to use and cost effective. Workbooks has helped to solve these challenges and realise the benefits that effective marketing can deliver to a professional accountancy practice.

  ### 48. Workbooks Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2015

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

It's very intuitive and user friendly, easily picked up interface

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Not quite as customisable as I had hoped

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CRM and database, ease of referencing clients and accessibility to everyone in the company

  ### 49. Workbooks CRM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan H. | Lead developer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

It is very easy to use. The interface is clean and simple and I can access all our data very quickly. I like the ability to save and share views with others, so exercises like data cleansing become quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Calendar view inside Workbooks like in Outlook (although I hear this is coming soon, anyway). Apart from that, nothing!

**Recommendations to others considering Workbooks:**

Give it a go, it delivers all you need at a very affordable price.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's keeping us "connected" with our customers.

  ### 50. User friendly and outstanding customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe F. | Business Development Associate, Biotechnology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2014

**What do you like best about Workbooks?**

Workbooks is exceptionally user friendly compared to other CRM systems that I have had experience with in the past. It is very intuitive and really helps with my day to day planning. What I have noticed most though, whenever I had a question or needed help with anything etc, the Workbooks customer service have always been very polite, helpful and attentive and have really helped me through any issues I have encountered. Really appreciate their live chat feature also.

As a sales person, I have found using Workbooks extremely valuable, and has made the day by day aspects of my job run a lot smoother.

**What do you dislike about Workbooks?**

Not much really. Workbooks has delivered on its promises. Its useful, user friendly and the people at Workbooks make setting up, renewing, problem solving etc easy compared to most companies.

**What problems is Workbooks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it predominantly so our sales guys have a central depository for all their contacts, and so that they can keep up with each others interactions. It has become really useful in tracking how many new leads they bring in, how they interact with customers, and making sure that when we get new staff in, they get up to scratch on new accounts as quickly as possible.
