Being able to create a job directly from the Project Request, helps keep things organized. Love being able to look up old jobs and finding the history very easily. **What do you dislike about Workamajig?** We were having a lot of server issues, and the system was very slow. Now that we are on our own dedicated server, things move a lot quicker! **What problems is Workamajig solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were not able to keep good track of projects in the past. The software is top tier and our rep, Jennifer Broadwater, is nothing less than accommodating and amazing! We needed project mgmt software that was customizable and could roll out across many departments. We needed an intake form, ease for users/intuitive, a view of both top-level bandwidth and availability of staff as well as individual tasks. Pretty straightforward. **What do you dislike about Workamajig?** It's far too robust for the average agency. If an agency were to use Workamajig to its full extent, no one in the agency would need talk to anyone. Everyone could do their job via the system, and everyone else would feed off the prompts, notifications, tickets, etc. But in reality, no one group of diverse individuals will ever use a system so perfectly. It's not realistic. It requires too much precision. It requires too much time. In our agency's case, we would take longer to log a project into Workamajig, and follow the appropriate steps, than to simply complete it without using Workamajig. Don't address a multitude of issues with any of the modules. Primarly replaces communication through email, slack, other channels while keeping conversation threads in individual jobs. Helps maintain job folder structure and dependencies. **What do you dislike about Workamajig?** Lot's of clicks for single action. Resource management has been a challenge. With job and task dates always fluid, time consuming keeping all tasks date current. Visually one can see it was designed by programmers. We understand it is designed to accommodate a variety of clientele, but for a small agency, having everything in one place has served us well. Sales, Project Management, Timer Functions (our producers love this feature), Billing and Accounting, it is the entire life cycle of a project. **What do you dislike about Workamajig?** Workamajig can help to scale down for a smaller agency and help create some customization. There is a lot the program can do, but not always needed for a smaller scale. Reports can be difficult to create, and when thinking of FP&A, it is lacking, especially when looking at clients and projects holistically. Additionally, our employees feel Workamajig is behind on the interface for project schedules and project management. There are systems like Monday or Asana that are light-years ahead. Lastly, we get complaints from our producers about the timer function being challenging to use. They'd wish it to be easier. There is no good integrated onboarding system (no tool tips, nothing). Project setup is messy and not user-friendly. And the way conversations are set up! OMG. Everybody struggles.
