When we initially selected Workable, it was a user-friendly ATS that was simple to implement and helped streamline our recruiting processes. At that time, I would have confidently recommended it to other Talent Acquisition leaders. Unfortunately, our experience has changed significantly. Workable discontinued automated AI resume-parsing functionality that had been represented as included when we selected the platform. The replacement process is considerably more manual and requires our team to establish must-have and preferred criteria for each individual position. For an organization managing more than 100 active requisitions and continuing to scale, this process is neither efficient nor sustainable. We were then presented with an additional cost of approximately $20,000 annually to regain functionality comparable to what was previously included. This defeats a primary reason companies invest in an applicant tracking system: to reduce administrative work, improve efficiency, and create a scalable recruitment process. Our concern extends beyond the additional cost. It is about transparency, trust, and the expectations established when the product was sold to us. Workable was once a platform I would readily recommend, but these changes have significantly damaged its credibility with our organization. Based on our current experience, I would encourage prospective customers to carefully confirm which features are included, whether those features can be removed or changed, and what additional costs may be introduced over the course of the agreement. Honestly, in the past it was relatively affordable, and useful, dispite the AI feature not being really useful for applicants qualification. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. They claim you can post jobs on LinkedIn if you upgrade, but once you pay, you discover that it’s not true you end up paying for a full month of a service you can’t use. Their support has been completely unhelpful. They refused a refund within 24 hours, even though they were the ones who told me to upgrade in order to access LinkedIn posting. To make things worse, they also charge VAT even though, under the EU reverse-charge mechanism, they should not. Overall, a very disappointing and misleading experience. Workable has an extensive list of job boards that they have access to. The price for their products and services are great. Very competitive amongst the other ATSs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Workable? Their customer service is horrible. My account got "banned" because I was recuiting too much. There was no one to speak to. I reached out to their customer service department numerous times and the ONLY (one) response was pointing to their 3.3 article under their terms and conditions; which pretty much states that they can refuse service to anyone they chose to. There was no warning, no "hey, you are doing something that violates our terms and conditions." Furthermore, there wasn't an appeal process that you can go through to make sure your account can still remain active. I have worked with various other ATS's before, and all of them will let you know what is acceptable and not and give you a warning so you can correct it (if you have violated anything in their terms and conditions). THIS one, nothing, just straight ban your account just because they feel like it. After they ban it, there are no further communication, they will not respond to emails or requests for appeals or review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. They claimed some issues were because of our linked accounts and they refused to believe it, but suddenly they fixed the bug and it was entirely their fault. Their customer service is very poor. Everything is self contained, from the application process, to the interviewing, to the job offer and hiring. I love that it can all be done in one place and is a one stop shop for hiring. As a person on the paperwork end of things, the ability to submit forms and documents for signatures and completion is more complicated than it needs to be and is very limited. It may work well in the rest of the pipeline, but is a headache to use otherwise. I can't see where the fields flow in the documents being submitted, so if fields are not labeled clearly, it can be a mess. I would love to see it fitting into the documents as it is being filled out, also to make sure that signatures are going in the correct place and to the right people. I would also love to see better usability for signators in greater amounts than 2 on the attached documentation. I may be making mountains out of molehills, but these issues can make my job so much more difficult and lengthy than it needs to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
