**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

WordPress is my go-to for quickly building a robust and customizable website. There's lots of online forums and blogs for support and I use it all the time when building websites for clients.

I think WordPress.org could be made a little more lightweight, maybe by changing the tech stack away from PHP and adopting a new code base. Initially, it was a bit tough to set up, but I was very new at that time to this sort of thing.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress.org makes it easy to set up websites, blogs, and ecommerce. It's open source with a wide array of plugins and themes and has a helpful community.

WordPress.org stands out for its plugin ecosystem, especially in the e-commerce space. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaydeep D. | DA, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

What I love most is the unlimited freedom and control. You own 100% of your site and can add any feature imaginable using the massive collection of free and paid plugins. It's the most flexible foundation for any website. its very easy to use for all the users who are new in the software. Also it is very easy to setup on any computer. there is no need to integrate with another software, Your hosting is enough.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

The self-hosted nature means you are responsible for everything. You have to manage security, install all updates yourself, and handle all backups, which can be time-consuming and requires some technical knowledge.

Another common pain point is plugin/theme compatibility and quality. While you have unlimited choices, a poorly coded third-party add-on can slow down your site or introduce security vulnerabilities.

I like WordPress.org because it helps me find customers to buy my products online. I appreciate the hosting part for my website hosting.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

I feel like it could be more user friendly. Kinda like how GoDaddy is or Wix. You know, like, we ease your website building. It's not very user friendly. It was not easy at all. I had to hire somebody to help me with it.

 ### 23. Professional Results Thanks to Versatile Plug-Ins

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chawn S. | Virtual & Outside Sales Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

I really appreciate all of the plug-ins. We used them to rebuild our company business directory (www.ltcircleoftrust.com), and the result looks much more professional compared to our old makeshift directory that we created with SquareSpace.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

It is not very friendly to the lay person and not a very intuitive platform. I had to actually hire a website developer for our new WordPress website ($80) but our old Squarespace website was developed by me.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this for our company's business directory. This website is used to connect our policyholders with our trusted partner community while minimizing our compliance and legal risks. Plus, the new partner profiles are created and managed by our partners. We decreased our operating expectations.

Easy audio embedding and strong media compatibility, best backoffice interface on the market. Great expansion possibilities, thanks to its modular system. Reliable hosting with almost no maintenance required.

Very limited storage on lower tier plans. A deeper customization requires upgrading to higher priced tiers.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an audio engineer, WordPress.com has been a surprisingly solid platform for building our professional online presence. The templates are clean and modern, and I was able to customize my site without digging too much into code, which is great when I’d rather be editing stems than tweaking CSS. Uploading projects with audio files was straightforward, and the built-in media tools also handled high-quality audio links from SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Spotify, etc, without issues.

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

I like that WordPress.org is free and easy to use. It's great because other CMSs that help you create websites without knowing coding could cost money, so using WordPress.org stands out as the most popular free tool. The initial setup was the easiest part.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

It's open source, but plugins created by third parties cost money, and they are needed for different functionalities that WordPress.org doesn't have.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use WordPress.org as my main tool for creating websites because it's free and easy to use, unlike other CMSs that require coding knowledge and can cost money.

The user interface and user experience do not work as well for me. I would like WordPress.org to be more focused on the Internet and offer more solutions, including conversion solutions for more online sales.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use WordPress.org for its Open Source nature and its contribution to natural referencing.

 ### 30. Powerful flexibility and SEO, but beware of updates...

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis P. | Traductor Inglés-Español / Español-Inglés, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

I like the flexibility of WordPress. With the right knowledge and skills, you can build virtually any kind of website or platform. It is great for SEO, as you can customise everything. I love it. And I like that it's free. I have tried many web building platforms and CMSs over the years, but I keep coming back to WordPress.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

I hate how unreliable WordPress is when it comes to updates. It's very easy to break something with major core updates and even if you're knowledgeable using WordPress, there's still a big chance you might spend hours troubleshooting whatever doesn't work.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to build sites for my clients and myself with very little investment.

WordPress is a helpful platform for building a website from the ground up. It offers a wide range of customization options, allowing you to tailor your site to your preferences. For those who cannot hire a professional website manager, it serves as a comprehensive solution.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

In my experience, WordPress can be somewhat complicated to use. I find it not very intuitive, and the end result often does not match the quality you would get from a professional website creator.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress gives you the ability to build your own website for free. If you are satisfied with its basic features and quality, it can be a very practical tool. I created a WordPress site on my own at borghese14.wordpress.com, but eventually I chose to move to a more professional website: https://borghese.netsons.org/libri/.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nithiya Y. | Teaching Professional, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

What I like best about WordPress.org is the simplicity and flexibility it offers. The platform is intuitive to use, which means we don’t need to spend excessive time learning or troubleshooting. Whether it’s updating content, adding new functionality, or customizing the look and feel, WordPress.org makes it easy to turn ideas into reality quickly. This ability to make changes and launch updates in a short turnaround time has been invaluable for keeping our website aligned with our needs.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

At times, implementing advanced features requires coding knowledge or the use of additional plugins, which can be a challenge without technical expertise. While the core platform is simple, more complex customizations definitely need a deeper understanding of development. Additionally, some updates—though well-intentioned—can make things feel more complicated, which may disrupt workflows temporarily.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress.org is helping us solve the challenge of building and managing a fully functional e-commerce website without excessive complexity. It allows us to create and customize our site easily, integrate secure payment gateways for smooth transactions, and manage stock efficiently. The reporting features also give us valuable insights into sales and performance, which helps us make better business decisions. Altogether, it provides a flexible, cost-effective solution for running our online store.

 ### 38. The Most Flexible and Powerful CMS Out There

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manila B. | Digital Marketing Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2025

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

What I like best about WordPress.org is the complete freedom it gives me to build and customize any kind of website. The open-source nature means I have full control over everything — from themes and plugins to the actual code. The huge community, endless resources, and thousands of integrations make it incredibly powerful and adaptable for any project, from simple blogs to complex e-commerce sites.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

The only downside is that managing everything yourself — hosting, updates, backups, and security — requires more technical knowledge compared to hosted platforms. It’s not a plug-and-play solution for beginners, but for those willing to learn (or work with a developer), the flexibility is totally worth it.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress.org solves the problem of being limited by platform restrictions. It gives me the freedom to design and scale my website exactly how I want, without compromising on functionality or aesthetics. I can install any plugin, edit the code, and create fully customized user experiences. It also helps me optimize for SEO, improve performance, and integrate with external tools. This level of control means I can build websites that truly reflect each brand's identity and grow over time.

 ### 39. WordPress, a tool that grows with you

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | Customer Experience Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

WordPress has been at the center of my journey, from teaching myself the basics to managing complex international ecommerce projects. No matter how ambitious my goals get, I always find a way to stretch its features to fit. I know my way around it so well that whenever someone brings me a challenge, I feel confident I can deliver the right solution.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

The one thing I keep running into is the lack of built-in collaboration. It’s a feature talked about for a long time, but still missing, and with how often WordPress is used as the backbone for team projects, it really feels overdue.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress lets me build whatever I can imagine, from blogs to ecommerce, with total flexibility. It’s given me the confidence to take on bigger projects and know I can rely on my own skills to make things happen.

 ### 41. My Go-To CMS for Any Kind of Website

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aftab C. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2025

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

Love how flexible WordPress is, plugins for literally everything I need 💯🔥
I’ve been using WordPress.org for a while now and the best thing is how much control it gives me. It’s open-source, so I can customize literally everything, whether it’s a simple blog, portfolio, or a full-on business site. The plugin ecosystem is insane, like there’s something for every feature you can think of, and the themes make design way easier. The community is also huge, so whenever I get stuck, there’s always a solution already out there.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

It’s not perfect though. Sometimes plugins clash and break things, and updates can be stressful if you don’t know what you’re doing. The learning curve in the beginning can feel a little overwhelming too. But once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth sailing.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress.org basically solves the “I need a website but don’t wanna be locked in” problem. I can build whatever type of site I want—blog, store, portfolio—without paying crazy subscription fees or depending on one company’s limits. The huge plugin library means I don’t have to code every little thing myself, and themes save me a ton of time on design. It’s flexible enough that I can start small and scale up later, which is a big win.

 ### 42. WordPress.org’s Flexibility Unlocks Endless Design Possibilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

I like that WordPress.org is such a flexible platform, and that it can accommodate so many different design styles and possibilities.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

Wordpress.org has proven challenging, even though I’ve used it for many years across different websites. Its greatest strength—flexibility—also becomes one of its biggest hurdles, because it’s hard to learn everything I need to know in order to use it smoothly and with ease.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed me to have some beautiful websites.

 ### 43. Great WordPress Themes with Easy Elementor Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sourav S. | Digital Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

The available themes for WordPress are really good options to go with. Most of them support the Elementor editor, so I can set everything up easily without having to write custom code for the website.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

For some of the sectional changes into the theme file or the website, one needs to have intermediate knowledge of web development, so it's not very begainer friendly

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

website & landing page creation to meet business KPI's

 ### 44. WordPress Made My Website Easy to Set Up and Maintain

 ### 45. Powerful Customization, Needs Code Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enrique T. | Analísta, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

I like using WordPress.org to create web interfaces. It helps me set up a visual and fast website thanks to its customization tools. Additionally, I find the mobile interface very practical, which allows me to make modifications directly from my phone. I also appreciate that the initial setup is quick and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

There should be a more intuitive tool for raw code modifications to improve customization.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress.org helps me set up a visual and fast website with its customization tools, and the mobile interface is very practical for making modifications from the phone.

 ### 46. Flexible, Cost-Effective, and Idea-Driven Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen B. | Attorney / Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

I appreciate the cost-effectiveness of WordPress.org as it offers a more affordable solution compared to other products. Its open-source nature is incredibly valuable, enabling a versatile marketplace of ideas from different places, which allows me the freedom to create anything I envision. This platform is extremely valuable as it lets me explore how others have implemented ideas before, and I can adapt these implementations to fit my needs without having to start from scratch each time. This iterative capability reduces time and effort significantly. Additionally, while there was initially a learning curve, regular use enables quick mastery and efficient management of websites for multiple organizations. Overall, WordPress.org offers a robust foundation for responsive and user-friendly website creation, reflecting an intelligently engineered product that's easy to navigate once familiar.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

I find that there are some issues with bugs in the open marketplace due to updates on the WordPress.org platform. This can often be a stumbling block when implementing other people's work into my projects. The challenge lies in discovering bugs that emerge because of software updates. While this is a common issue in many software environments, it's especially noticeable when I try to incorporate third-party creations into my websites.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find WordPress.org simplifies creating responsive, user-friendly websites more cost-effectively than other products. It allows me to see and adapt past implementations, eliminating the need to start fresh each time.

 ### 47. Super Easy Website Creation with Diverse Themes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farman K. | Senior Website Specialist, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about WordPress.org?**

I love how WordPress.org provides an incredibly easy and manageable experience, allowing anyone, even those without much technical expertise, to navigate its features effortlessly. The dashboard is phenomenal, making it intuitive for both beginners and experienced users alike. I genuinely enjoy creating websites and the ability to employ a variety of themes is a significant advantage, enabling a range of customization and design options. The user interface is exceptionally simple to use, facilitating the creation of numerous pages and blocks, and offering extensive customization options including custom CSS. This flexibility is fantastic for my global clientele where I work collaboratively to develop bespoke websites. Additionally, WordPress.org’s compatibility with several tools and plugins, such as HubSpot and WP Rocket, enhances its functionality tremendously, providing a robust platform for diverse web development projects. The overall experience of creating and managing websites with WordPress.org is superb, which is why I rate it highly and often recommend it to others.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.org?**

I think WordPress.org could improve by offering more free themes with greater functionality. The default themes provided annually (such as 2021, 2022, etc.) could be enhanced to include features like those found in premium themes such as the 'Bridge' or 'Auto' themes. These premium themes offer extensive functionalities, particularly with WooCommerce, which would be a significant upgrade if available in the free themes. Additionally, for newcomers or people not experienced in web development, the initial setup can be somewhat challenging. While experienced users or developers can navigate it easily, those new to web design might find it difficult and need additional resources like YouTube tutorials to understand it better.

**What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find WordPress.org provides a customizable website platform with extensive features, ready-to-use dashboards, and easy-to-use UI. It allows me to implement multiple themes and custom CSS, creating diverse designs for global clients effortlessly.
