"WordPress, a tool that grows with you"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

WordPress has been at the center of my journey, from teaching myself the basics to managing complex international ecommerce projects. No matter how ambitious my goals get, I always find a way to stretch its features to fit. I know my way around it so well that whenever someone brings me a challenge, I feel confident I can deliver the right solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

The one thing I keep running into is the lack of built-in collaboration. It’s a feature talked about for a long time, but still missing, and with how often WordPress is used as the backbone for team projects, it really feels overdue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Go-To CMS for Any Kind of Website"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

Love how flexible WordPress is, plugins for literally everything I need 💯🔥

I’ve been using WordPress.org for a while now and the best thing is how much control it gives me. It’s open-source, so I can customize literally everything, whether it’s a simple blog, portfolio, or a full-on business site. The plugin ecosystem is insane, like there’s something for every feature you can think of, and the themes make design way easier. The community is also huge, so whenever I get stuck, there’s always a solution already out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

It’s not perfect though. Sometimes plugins clash and break things, and updates can be stressful if you don’t know what you’re doing. The learning curve in the beginning can feel a little overwhelming too. But once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth sailing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Cost-Effective, and Idea-Driven Platform"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

I appreciate the cost-effectiveness of WordPress.org as it offers a more affordable solution compared to other products. Its open-source nature is incredibly valuable, enabling a versatile marketplace of ideas from different places, which allows me the freedom to create anything I envision. This platform is extremely valuable as it lets me explore how others have implemented ideas before, and I can adapt these implementations to fit my needs without having to start from scratch each time. This iterative capability reduces time and effort significantly. Additionally, while there was initially a learning curve, regular use enables quick mastery and efficient management of websites for multiple organizations. Overall, WordPress.org offers a robust foundation for responsive and user-friendly website creation, reflecting an intelligently engineered product that's easy to navigate once familiar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

I find that there are some issues with bugs in the open marketplace due to updates on the WordPress.org platform. This can often be a stumbling block when implementing other people's work into my projects. The challenge lies in discovering bugs that emerge because of software updates. While this is a common issue in many software environments, it's especially noticeable when I try to incorporate third-party creations into my websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super Easy Website Creation with Diverse Themes"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

I love how WordPress.org provides an incredibly easy and manageable experience, allowing anyone, even those without much technical expertise, to navigate its features effortlessly. The dashboard is phenomenal, making it intuitive for both beginners and experienced users alike. I genuinely enjoy creating websites and the ability to employ a variety of themes is a significant advantage, enabling a range of customization and design options. The user interface is exceptionally simple to use, facilitating the creation of numerous pages and blocks, and offering extensive customization options including custom CSS. This flexibility is fantastic for my global clientele where I work collaboratively to develop bespoke websites. Additionally, WordPress.org’s compatibility with several tools and plugins, such as HubSpot and WP Rocket, enhances its functionality tremendously, providing a robust platform for diverse web development projects. The overall experience of creating and managing websites with WordPress.org is superb, which is why I rate it highly and often recommend it to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

I think WordPress.org could improve by offering more free themes with greater functionality. The default themes provided annually (such as 2021, 2022, etc.) could be enhanced to include features like those found in premium themes such as the 'Bridge' or 'Auto' themes. These premium themes offer extensive functionalities, particularly with WooCommerce, which would be a significant upgrade if available in the free themes. Additionally, for newcomers or people not experienced in web development, the initial setup can be somewhat challenging. While experienced users or developers can navigate it easily, those new to web design might find it difficult and need additional resources like YouTube tutorials to understand it better. "Flexibility Without Limits, But With Demanding Maintenance"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

I really like the flexibility that WordPress.org offers, as I can customize everything without limits, which perfectly suits my needs and those of my clients. The ability to use a wide variety of plugins is extremely valuable to me. These plugins allow me to add functionalities without having to modify the code, which is a great advantage. I can integrate forms, optimize SEO, connect with my social networks, and even add chatbots easily. The initial setup of WordPress.org also turned out to be relatively simple, especially using the available tutorials. Modern hosting services make installation easier, and although customizing the design and understanding the logic of the plugins takes time, I find the process manageable and satisfying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

Sometimes it feels burdensome to keep WordPress.org updated. Between the plugins, themes, and the WordPress.org core, there is always something to update, which takes up my time. Additionally, if I don't choose the plugins well, the site can become slow. Security also requires constant attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes the user may require front end familiarity to rectify few issues. The plugins needs to be updated regularly as may get obsolete. Also for premium features the cost is quite high Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scaling Smart with WordPress—Performance Meets Flexibility"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

What I like best about WordPress.org is the creative and technical freedom it provides. As a multi-platform entrepreneur managing both travel and lifestyle brands, I use WordPress almost daily because it’s reliable, scalable, and fits seamlessly into my workflow. Implementation is straightforward—even with limited coding experience, launching a functional and professional-looking site is achievable.

The intuitive interface makes ongoing updates and content management hassle-free. I especially rely on its robust plugin ecosystem to streamline SEO with tools like Rank Math and Yoast, embed affiliate links, manage schema markup, and personalize user journeys. With an ever-expanding range of features and integrations, it's easy to tailor the platform to meet evolving business goals.

Customer support—both from the community and third-party plugin developers—has been consistently helpful and well-documented.

- What I like best: WordPress gives full creative control, daily reliability, and unmatched flexibility for building and scaling brand-aligned websites.

- Most helpful features: Open-source framework, ease of implementation, user-friendly dashboard, powerful SEO plugins, schema markup tools, affiliate link support, frequent updates, and a vibrant support community.

- Upsides: Scalable structure for growing projects, high frequency of use across different sites, no recurring fees for the core system, ease of integration with marketing tools and content platforms, strong plugin versatility, and complete ownership of hosting, domain, and site assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

While WordPress.org has been instrumental in scaling my brands, there are a few areas where I feel improvement could enhance the overall experience. The sheer volume of available plugins and themes, while a strength, can also be overwhelming—especially when trying to identify which are well-coded, regularly maintained, and compatible with the latest version of WordPress.

New users might find the learning curve steep, particularly when navigating DNS settings, PHP updates, or plugin conflicts without technical support. Integration with third-party tools is generally smooth, but occasionally requires manual configuration or troubleshooting.

Managing site speed and optimization can also be a challenge without advanced tools or caching plugins. Lastly, while the support ecosystem is vast, it's decentralized—so responses can vary depending on whether you're dealing with the core platform or third-party developers.

- What I dislike: The plugin marketplace can be difficult to navigate, and vetting quality tools often requires trial-and-error.

- Least helpful aspects: Lack of centralized customer support, inconsistent documentation across plugins and themes, manual setup required for more advanced integrations, and performance tuning that may demand technical knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Customizable, Challenges with Setup"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

I really like that I can edit any section of my website by coding, as it gives me complete control over customization. The ability to do this is invaluable for tailoring my site to meet specific client needs and personal preferences. Additionally, WordPress.org offers an efficient and cost-effective solution for my freelance business, making it an easy choice for my operational needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

I think that WordPress.org could be improved by adding more templates. Although the customization options are great, having a broader selection of templates would be beneficial. It would also be helpful if these templates were customizable so I could tweak them as needed. Additionally, the initial setup was not easy because my team and I didn't know how to use it. We had to teach ourselves, which made the beginning somewhat challenging until we got a better understanding of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

WordPress offers unmatched flexibility. Whether you’re building a simple blog, a business website, or a full-scale eCommerce store, the plugin ecosystem and customizable themes make it possible. What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

The learning curve can be steep for beginners. Managing updates for plugins, themes, and WordPress core requires attention, otherwise it can lead to compatibility issues. Sometimes, too many plugins can slow down site performance if not optimized properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
