## WordPress.com Reviews
 ### 1. A good resource for webpage creation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chad F. | Instructional Technology Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

The options are crazy with what you can do and create in Wordpress. The addons that can be used also give the service more functionality than other options available.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

The learning curve is pretty steep in trying to set up your page or pages initially. Without some knowledge of what you're trying to do it would be very easy to get stuck and not know where to begin.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a way to create a blog that would provide an easy way for subscribers to receive updates as well as social media integration. Both of these features are present as well as giving us a web presence.

 ### 2. Easy to use but you need basic knowledge when using it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Live F. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I love the ease of use with it. I do have a little background in designing websites but it is basic and easy to use. There are also a ton of features to make your website unique.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

I don't like how many options there are, I wish there were more focused recommendations that would help me to see what is best practice for my business and niche.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Shopify for one of my businesses that sells products and I use Wordpress for my business that is geared towards a service based business. Wordpress is perfect if you are not selling products in my opinion.

 ### 3. A great way to get started with WP quickly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan P. | Web Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

It has most of the features as the self-hosted version of WordPress. The signup process is simple and only takes a few minutes or so to complete. The plans are priced relatively low for WP-based hosting plans. I can use loads of themes with WordPress.com that can be edited with CSS and other coding languages. There are useful management features that make it easy to make sweeping changes with just a few mouse clicks.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

It's not as flexible as the self-hosted version of WordPress. I can't easily port complete websites or even just themes. Attempting to port will often result in broken files or folders.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use WordPress.com as a web design and content management system for several of our clients' websites. We can design and publish websites relatively quickly. We can use themes we've previously designed or purchased through an online marketplace. The loading times are often satisfactory for the number of visitors each website receives. Editing, approvals and other aspects of the website management process are simplified with WordPress.com's automated features.

 ### 4. A Pleasing, refreshing and a creative blogging platform.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SYED SALIK A. | Senior Turbocompressors Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

It lets one speak his heart out without having any fear of being censored. It's like a modern day essential to the liberal and free world press.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

The outlook of the app/website could be improved by continuous evolution. It's like still the WordPress is using the same old GUI in the current 2020s.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

Take your time and don't rush at things. You will probably take time in building an audience but once you do that, it's all good and exciting.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the major thing I have been doing via WordPress is having my voice heard through the stroke of my pen to my audience. This has been very useful in having a constructive debate in the society.

 ### 5. WordPress website builder

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishav J. | Associate Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

The best thing about WordPress is that is free and anyone with very little understanding of how to build a website can use the custom templates to build a website according to their requirements.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

The website may break anytime due to some technical reason. The search engine optimization for the Website built using it is really poor . Also it takes more time to load a page then normal.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are many themes to select from which is really helpful for a beginner. The plugins provide different functionality that can be used to enhance the websites performance.

 ### 6. I am using wordpress cms from last 6 years very easy to use less bugs, and easy to handle, 8 stars.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali D. | Head of Social Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

Wordpress easy interface and best coding console, most of plugins on wordpress are free to use and avaible only just one click to install, best themes available.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

I think so there is nothing i dislike in wordpress cms at this time because i never had a single bug or problem in wordpress in my career experience, but add some new feature make more better.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not a developer and i know less about coding , now due to wordpress cms anyone can build business or creator website easily with less experience required. Amazing replacement for coding.

 ### 7. Best CMS available in the market.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rehan K. | Sr. Technical Support Engineer , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

Website deployment without the use of code, themes and page builders are easiest to use along with other integrated plugins for payment seo etc.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Sometimes when multiple people are working on the same site there are a lot of issues and it hampers the workflow and needs more time than usual

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building website which took a month is reduced to a week including seo and webmaster Integrations as well.

 ### 8. Building an Online Presence (Wordpress did that)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. Shokry E. | Performance Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

The team members at Wordpress are committed to ensuring that they hear your need, inform you of your options, and often even help you see possibilities you didn't think to ask about. The community (staff and users) is always ready to extend a hand, and WP website build services support you from start to finish.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

WP is not as beginner-friendly as they advertise. In the age of drag and drop, WP has some catching up to do for its users. If you want to use a pre-fab template, it's relatively straightforward, but it is hard to exercise a vision in the limitation of someone else's frame.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our current age, there is a growing opportunity to create information equity and build solution-generating communities online. The assistance and support we recieved from Wendy and the WP team is the beginning of that shift for our growing community of educators.

 ### 9. Easiest blog platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah R. | Copywriter & Content Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

For the most part, everything is pretty straightforward and user-friendly, and I like Wordpress better than other blog platforms. I'm not paying right now so I use the free themes and there are some good ones that don't look too outdated or clunky, or "free".

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Really hate the changes to blog composition on both the app and the website with the addition of "blocks". The option of blocks is okay, but I really want the ability to have all of my text in one piece. Blocks are supposedly there to make editing easier, but for me it's just a huge hassle. Becasue I typically create blog posts either on my Notes app in my phone or in Word first, I don't compose them on the actual Wordpress "new post". So when I go to copy and paste my text into a new post and it breaks everything up into a ton of little blocks, it's a huge headache. I haven't found a way to remove blocks since I don't have a ton of time to spend messing with the interface to figure out all the new buttons.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love the options for hosting just a blog rather than a website since we already have a site and only need a place for writings at the moment. It's a great addition to our content and connects seamlessly with our other resources.

 ### 10. Robb' s WordPres.com Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robb A. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I like that it's free and it gives you more design latitude than Blogger. I like that you can copy and paste from one post to the other without that much difficulty. I also like that it's fairly SEO friendly and Multi-media friendly.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

I flat-out HATE being semi-forced to use that lame Gutenberg technology. I don't like blocks in a blog. I feel they restrict your ability to format and really slow you down. WordPress.com makes it relatively difficult to switch back and will always automatically default to Gutenberg blocks. For those who want to say; "You just have to get used to it." Why should I have to get used to an inferior technology when their previous technology worked better. I'm not thrilled with the advertising but I recognize they have to make money too.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem I'm solving is creating more fresh content that can be used to promote my store and create more SEO for my store in a relatively short amount of time. The benefits I've realized are slightly better search engine position and more focused traffic.

 ### 11. Open Source for Content management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshay N. | Senior Finance Excutive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

Posts can be scheduled to display at specific date and time so that we can create content ahead of time and schedule

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

We need lots of plugins for additional features. WordPress is still slow platform due to the all added plugins

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress easily manage website content as much as we want. And it provides unlimited pages post and products

 ### 12. Wordpress- Website building tool Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harshal P. | Digital Marketing Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

WordPress allows you to create any customizable website for your blogs and business. It lets you add all kinds of content like pictures videos to improve the aesthetics of your website.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

you need to know coding languageTo make your website more interactive or to manage your troubleshoot problems with wordpress. Also it takes a lot of time to get to grips with wordpress as there are many functionalities you could do.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress offers you freedom in choosing your designs, features, and functions. You can add any plugins from the internet. One issue I have is the page speed is not the best when it comes to WordPress.

 ### 13. Excellent choice for web design

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark M. | CEO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

Wordpress is incredibly easy to use and makes web design both fast and efficient. The source keeps improving and there and some absolutely amazing themes available

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Wordpress can be slow with the wrong themes or too many plugins. It can also be hacked if you aren't careful but that pretty much applies to any web design.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've created websites for various industries. Everything from brochure sites to membership sites and ec-commerce.

 ### 14. best software to create blog or website

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

not any dislike for WordPress. I found it nice.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an SEO Proffesional i used WordPress for blogging and it was so easy.

 ### 15. It was quite good!!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayra j. | Digital Marketer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

The two most beneficial things about WordPress.com to every person who works with the platform are that it has a variety of themes to choose from and personalize them as much as you like to make your website look precisely the way you want it. I like that you get more flexibility in designing your blog when using WordPress.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

In my opinion, subscription prices aren't ideal because they're very high. However, you will find quality plugins that will help keep your website up and running without any significant problems (and yes, I'm speaking from experience here). My overall experience with the program was pleasant.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

Whatever your needs, this software has it all. It's one of the most useful and trusted platforms available today for those looking to create a web page that's as extraordinary as it is intuitive.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software is reliable. It has several features that allow you to edit and build an impressive storefront for your business. The installation is relatively straightforward. You don't need much time to get used to the software itself. I love that it is customizable since it can adapt to my liking. The fact that there are plugins that I could install to improve the design is also remarkable. It's perfect indeed.

 ### 16. Save Money and Build a Great Website

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

Wordpress.com offers a variety of free templates and even low-cost design templates perfect for building any category of website. Need more capability? Then simply add it on. Add-ons are much cheaper than from paid website builders like GoDaddy, SquareSpace, and others that often offer limited website capabilities. You can also easily manage your website from a dashboard and add marketing services if you desire.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

I do not recommend Wordpress.com for amateurs. You should have some knowledge of webpages and have some website building experience to understand how to design, publish, and further improve your website.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you are looking to build a professional website with lots of capability without paying thousands of dollars for it then Wordpress.com is a great place to get one.

 ### 17. Ease of Wordpress

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barbara N. | Operations Manager, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I like the layout of Wordpress and the friendliness it has to edit and publish collaboratively with family.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

I wish that it would remember my user and password each time.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. The benefits - we share a page as a family to share recipes and it's become a great collaborative resource.

 ### 18. The best platform to host and create website

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ritik B. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

It is the best tool for non-coder people to host and let their website live, it is the best tool for newbies to have their blog over the internet. I personally recommend this tool, since I am using the same for a long time.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

The worst thing about WordPress cms is that it consumes a lot of CPU resources of the server and if we install a few more plugins then it slows down the server as well as website.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have our website hosted on WordPress, we are using WordPress cms to provide our news content.

 ### 19. wordpressdotcom review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

It's free and easy to download, the best beginner blog CMS. Easily notified by search engines, Lot of design options

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Mainly Blogging, getting good reach because easily notified by search engine

 ### 20. Great and easy to use!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephi W. | Copywriter and Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

It makes it very easy to build a website without a lot of experience with code.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

There is a bit of a learning curve sometimes and you have to pay for extra features.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved the problem of needed a website tool that makes the process easy and does not require code. It has made me more productive with my work and has allowed for a more advanced looking site.

 ### 21. Excellent platform with a moderate learning curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I love the customizability of Wordpress. It's very user-friendly and intuitive, as well. That means that you can make it look the way you would like and it is relatively easy to manipulate it in that way. I really enjoy the analytic capabilities, too!

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Wordpress has a decent learning curve. It is very customizable, yes, but it is also easily breakable as a result. If you don't know what you are doing, it can be easy to mess up the entire website or break something that is expensive or time-consuming to fix. While the "undo" and "revision" buttons do help a bit, they aren't able to rectify big mistakes. I feel like I'm scared to touch some stuff because I'm not a Wordpress pro and am worried I'll mess up our custom website that uses Wordpress.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are hosting and managing a major website, as well as bringing content to a global audience through Wordpress. As I mentioned ,the direct benefits are the customizability and user-friendly interface. You don't need to know coding to run Wordpress (though you do need to be quite tech-savvy in my opinion).

 ### 22. Good to get started, but if you need a professional site, please consider wordpress.org

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy F. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

The system is fairly simple and easy to get started. There are enough options on the "free" side to get you up and running with a website.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Unless you go with the paid version, the options are limited as to what you can do. And if you are willing to pay, you are better off using Wordpress.org and having your own hosting space. The options on the .org version are limitless and it is what the majority of the web is run on.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting a website up quickly and with no cost.

 ### 23. Busy interface

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa M. | Product Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I like that they have web buffs to help with needs.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

I think the interface is very busy-looking.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

Play around with the interface and use the help of the web buffs - it takes time to really find things but you will find it.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We housed our old website here

 ### 24. WordPress is Super helpful with organizing your webpage!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jodi D. | Inside sales and Commercial sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I like how wordpress walks you through step by step on creating your webpage. I don't feel overwhelmed by all the different aspects of building a site.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Takes some time to feel comfortable with using the software. I find that I'm stumbling across new areas and techniques each time I use this software.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating an eye appealing webpage/design for customers to easily navigate and use to see clearance items and sales.

 ### 25. Word Press is a solid site building a blog

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Maybe could be better with the SEO for people to find it?

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to create a site for my portfolio of work to be seen.

 ### 26. A good way to learn the ins and outs of content management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

Many, many, many websites use WordPress as their backend content management system. It is easy to learn and integrates well into other technology. Knowing WordPress is a transferable skill, and a lot of job postings in the communications field specifically ask for WordPress as it's become an industry standard for managing websites.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

I don't think WordPress is great for low-budget blogging because WordPress puts disruptive ads on blogs on its free plan. Besides large banner ads, WordPress also inserts sponsored posts into your blog's feed. These posts break up the visuals of your blog and make it feel less personal. There's a difference between a regular ad and a disruptive one, and WordPress ads are the latter.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A benefit I've realized from WordPress is knowing how to manage websites for different organizations without training since WordPress is so popular.

 ### 27. Good for even non tech writers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

It has both code and Text views which help to format easily. Also, the scheduling feature helps to publish content at a particular time.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Updating the plugins sometimes formats the content already published.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving blog publishing and user access management.

 ### 28. An excellent, flexible way to build your web presence

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2022

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

Lots of online documentation and easy to hire developers

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Very flexible and excellent for many years, but eventually just outgrew and wanted to have full design control

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buiding a web presence with SEO, and it was excellent to get started

 ### 29. Complicated, but still love wordpress

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I love all the plugins, ability to load templates, ability to dive deeper with developement.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Sometimes it's complicated and not intuitive like where to edit the menu and brand colors, etc. depending on the template loaded.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I now have a website that customers can take seriously and I can add plugins that I need.

 ### 30. Great Website Building Platform. Tricky for Newbies, But Packed with Functionality

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parker S. | Sales Technology Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I like how much functionality is packed into Wordpress, as well as how many add-ins are available. I can set up all of my pages with ease, and then connect my hosting service and security service via add-in.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

It can be a bit difficult to navigate, especially for a newcomer. It's not nearly as simply laid out as Wix or Weebly.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I created a website for my wife's business. We were able to increase her reach and dramatically improve her visibility online.

 ### 31. First steps after learning the professional use of Wordpress

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco B. | web marketing junior specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

WordPress is the most useful platform for building websites without specific knowledge of codes: you can make an interesting site and choose many themes (also free), I appreciate the easy utilizazion of the platform. In my opinion, is the best CRM for enterprises.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

It's quite challenging to find a defect: probably it's necessary to add some free options besides. Another problem is the lack of a good section for e-commerce, that now it's very important to implement. But in general, my sensations are positive.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

You can use WordPress if you need a website for your company and you don't have big money to spend, but you want anywhere a site of good standard: it is very intuitive and easy to use, is responsive, you can also do many options to personalize the website. You can buy your domain level name with a little expense.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With WordPress.com, I solved many problems and in particular I developed many professional skills: I published many articles (both for the blog, both for activity updating), I build entire websites (for University and job) learning the good use of HTML editor, I chose new graphic themes, I learned to use CRM in professional mode and in complete autonomy. So, I realized many benefits for my professionality.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew F. | Freelance Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

WordPress is a powerful website builder and host that gives users the power to make their website back end and set to be as complex or straightforward as they wish. WordPress has access to many plugins that users can experiment with to make their website accommodate their needs and goals.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

WordPress' complexity also makes it confusing and difficult to digest without a technical understanding of how to operate it. While WordPress has accomodating client support for paying users, it is not enough to fully comprehend WordPress' capabilities. New users may want to look into online tutorials to understand better how WordPress can support them.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress provided my former company the flexibility and robustness required to refresh its website branding and identity.

Building websites for my side-hustle (restaurant marketing)

 ### 36. Frustratingly frustrating

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanket P. | Certified Leap Ahead & Human Potential Coach, EFT Practitioner, Author, Writer and TEDx Speaker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2020

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

A reasonably good to use CMS. It can help you get set up and running in a few minutes. It's a good tool to build your website. The support is also good and readily available to jump in and resolve issues.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Once you move past the initial learning curve, you only realize that there's so much more. Once you get past the basic designs, custom layouts are hard to use. A lot of features you need are always available but in a higher plan. The IDE breaks all the time. Custom CSS is hard unless you have a dedicated WP resource.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

It's clunky. It's expensive. Make sure you validate all of your requirements upfront before deciding on their plans. Most of the time you will need to validate and weigh them well against the cost you will incur. Make sure you have a WP resource handy.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

digital presence, automation, website, mailing list, CMS

 ### 40. A flexible online editing and hosting service

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martina S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I like that WordPress.com works in conjunction with the standard WordPress software. With some careful planning, you'll be able to move your WordPress website in and out of WordPress.com to other web hosting systems. The prices for WordPress.com packages are competitive with other solutions on the market that are popular. Most of the features in WordPress.com are similar to what is offered in the standard WordPress software.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Though it can be flexible sometimes, WordPress.com can be difficult when it comes to converting certain themes in and out of the normal WordPress software. I think that some of the features aren't quite the same in WordPress.com as they are on the regular software.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

I think new users to WordPress should start out using WordPress.com since it's sort of an all-in-one package that allows you to focus on the main aspects of the WordPress platform.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can get new websites up on the internet without fussing around too much with hosting details. We don't have to wait long to connect domain names with hosting accounts at different companies. The editing process is mostly simple and straightforward. We can make changes without having to apply any type of code directly to our pages.

WordPress has poor SEO, plug-in incompatibility issues, and a slow page speed

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Depending on your membership you have direct access to a customer support person that can help you

 ### 43. Best Place to Spill All Ink

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2020

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

It helps me to create a website from scratch by giving access to all required tools and services. I am Master of My own site

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

The plans are too expensive for a beginner or intermediate professional.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

Anyone who has a clear idea what do they want from their WordPress site would find it very useful as it has all the tools that you require to transform your personal site into an ecommerce/digital venture

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WordPress helps me to categorise and build my portfolio at one place. It is also helping me to create an identity on Social Media through the sharing options. With its number of plugins and other tools I plan to take the monetary benefits that it offers

 ### 44. Basic but good

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I like how easy it is to navigate and how it covers the basics without getting to hard to understand.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

If you want to do more intricate things, the information and explanation for how to do so is often hard to understand. Everything starts easy but gets rather messy as you try to do more.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

Good if you're not expecting to have too advanced of a page

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's good for when our students need a basic platform for a short time or project

 ### 45. Beginner-friendly with beautifully-designed themes, but free version is limited

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

Wordpress.com's user interface is incredibly intuitive and easy-to-use, making it great for a beginner who doesn't have much experience with website design, or even an expert who just wants to whip up a quick website without coding. The live preview panel lets you customize your website and see changes reflected in real-time, all without writing a single line of code. There are many themes available, all beautifully designed with options for customization.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

The free version comes with many limitations. While most of the themes allow for some degree of customization, the custom CSS/HTML option is not available on the free plan. You also are limited to Wordpress.com's database of themes (both free and premium), as opposed to being able to upload your own theme or one from a third-party site. You get a free website URL with the wordpress.com domain, but you can't use your own domain name (even if you've already purchased it from a third party) without upgrading to a premium plan.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

Be aware that there's no way to use your own domain on WordPress.com without paying for the premium plan, so keep that in mind if you plan on using your own domain either now or in the future.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, Wordpress.com is great for someone who wants to make a quick website without worrying about complicated set-up, maintenance, hosting, or design. As a graphic designer, I personally use it for my design portfolio, and Wordpress.com's many portfolio-specific themes allow me to create a professional website tailored to my specific purpose with very little effort. If you need a website for purposes other than a portfolio, don't worry--WordPress has a multitude of themes available for every category, from online stores to coffee shops to personal blogs.

 ### 46. Easy to use, good UX

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Candy W. | Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

The UX is very simple to use. I like the plugins it offers and how it can have multiple users logged in at a time.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

It is sometimes laggy and slow. Updates need to be installed before you get all the features - it should automatically install.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using it for the site and been able to optimize for customer needs.

 ### 47. Health & Wellness Site

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

The themes are what made me change from Weebly. I wanted a specific Moderna Dan clean looking site theme that only Wordpress had.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

It is not as easy for me to make edits as Weebly was...I think it’s just a little advanced for me. Plus there’s a couple versions to view the edits you make in, so it’s kind of complicated, just just plug and go. If I had the time to sit down and do training on it I’m sure it be much easier.

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

It has a steep learning curve for anything other than the basics.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It linked up with Click Funnels and Active Campaign...that’s what the marketing team I worked with recommenced.
Though now message inquiries from the website have to be routed through AC and I have to manually create emails responses which is frustrating.

 ### 48. Wordpress - Nice Blogging Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2021

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

Very affordable, easy to use and many themes to choose from.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

Limited customer support and limited photo editing functionality.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It offered a nice complement to our e-commerce website to show off the wedding side of our business.

 ### 49. Wordpress. Easy way to build websites quickly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cate A. | Information technology analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2020

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

It is easy to navigate and create good looking websites with WordPress. It is a very intuitive software whereby you don't need coding experience to create websites. It has plugins for any functionality that you would like to add to your website. Wordpress is PHP based therefore it is faster in carrying out related operations

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

It is not possible to import text from another platform for example google docs hence it doesn't work well with other softwares in that capacity

**Recommendations to others considering WordPress.com:**

I would recommend it because for us it is one of the best in creating websites and blogs easily. It has very many plugins and themes to help you create anything you want conveniently.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used WordPress for three years now to create professional websites for our company and the experience has been great. The marketing department uses it to create blog posts where they post articles related to our products and services and the technologies we use. We have also used various plugins to use it for file sharing and media and also to secure our websites.

 ### 50. Not as user friendly as I would like

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaitlyn F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about WordPress.com?**

I like the styles and plugins available.

**What do you dislike about WordPress.com?**

I dislike how I have to contact a rep or contractor when something is wrong, if the user doesn’t know how to code.

**What problems is WordPress.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our church’s website. Use it for events, communications, broadcasting.
