"Securing Your Wordpress Website"
5/5
What do you like best about WordFence?

Wordpress is the most popular CMS today and because of this, it is also a favorite to be attacked by hackers. With this reason, any Wordpress website today must have tighten it's security and what best and easiest way to do it it Wordfence.

Wordfence is so easy to install, just go to the plugin page of your Wordpress Dashboard and search for wordfence, and just click it to install.

The Wordfence firewall is a great feature and the good thing is, when you have just freshly installed the wordfence plugin to your wordpress site, it will first be defaulted to learning mode for about a week. It studies your website so it can provide the best possible way it could protect your website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordFence?

I really like the Live Traffic feature, but it does eat up to much resources so I had to disable it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Wordfence is great for basic website security - especially if you know a little bit about security."
2.5/5
What do you like best about WordFence?

Wordfence is perfect for web developers who know a bit about security in general, enough to install and setup basic security settings. It's even possible that some website owners who have learned how to install plug ins in thier admin interface can get by themselves without much tweaking, especially for smaller websites and situations in which lower security is needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordFence?

WordFence isn't the most secure software we've used. Sometimes malware gets through, especially on the free version. WordFence has many complex configuration options which are geared more towards experienced security professionals. Our web design clients sometimes want to install it themselves from the admin, but it's better that we install and manage it when the website is large or has a lot if custom programming. Some of the security settings in Wordfence might even be impressive to some security professionals, it seemed to be built for people with some security experience or knowledge. However, if you can barely install a new WordPress plug in as a site owner and don't understand security terminology, then Wotdfence might be difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Wordpress plugin"
5/5
What do you like best about WordFence?

I don't know much about security, but what I do know is we use WordFence on our site and to the best of my knowledge we haven't had a single successful hack attempt on us. It is also easy to set up inside Wordpress because it's a plugin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordFence?

One slightly bad thing was that it interfered with the saving of our page designs using Thrive Architect; however that was a long time ago and it doesn't do that anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It is the most complete suite of security in Wordpress"
4.5/5
What do you like best about WordFence?

It has a very complete control panel that provides a lot of detailed information about the attacks that the website has suffered. I love the good management of statistics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordFence?

It is not possible to create a blacklist by being a free user. I would have liked that at least I could use this option even in a limited way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Must have Wordpress security solution for an incredible price"
5/5
What do you like best about WordFence?

Wordfence is a security solution that is a must-have for anyone serious about protecting their wordpress site on a budget. I have been using this product for approximately 2 years, and have been constantly impressed with the ease-of-use and versatile protections offered by Wordfence. For free, Wordfence provides an automatic scan for virus' on your site - and a scan for any changes to any files on your site (which can alert you of a hack or attempted hack); offering you an easy way to roll-back any unauthorized changes right from within your site. Furthermore, it offers a built-in firewall that records any malicious attempts at accessing the site and automatically blocks them according to your configuration. Furthermore, it records all traffic through the site, and will provide you with a warning of any failed login attempts & potentially malicious visits to your site.

Overall, Wordfence gives an intensive overview of the health of your website & keeps it safe - all for free. While they do offer a paid version, I have been solely relying on the strengths of the free product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordFence?

There is a lot to configure in order to set up your site properly, which can be fairly difficult to configure & manage if you are new to using this product. While all the settings are beneficial and provide intensive protections, they can also be fairly confusing to configure properly if you are not an expert, forcing you to rely on their intensive explanations & google to figure out if a setting is important/compatible with your site. "Crucial for WordPress security"
5/5
What do you like best about WordFence?

WordFence secures your WordPress website on a budget! I've always used the free version and it protects my websites perfectly. Before, I had WordPress sites getting brute force hacks, but after installing WordFence, I am always in the know when someone is trying to breach any of my websites and I can take the appropriate actions to make sure it stays safe and secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordFence?

The emails it sends by default when plugins need to be updated are rather annoying. You can disable this in settings, but when it's the default setting and you manage tons of WordPress websites for clients, it can become irritating when you forget to disable them. "THEY WILL LOCK YOU OUT OF YOUR OWN SITE REPEATEDLY!!"
0/5
What do you like best about WordFence?

It does block some contacts from spammy contacts. But only some contacts not all and this is for the paid version! But do understand at least once a year these idiots lock me out of my own site. They blacklist the owner of the site because you visit it so often! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordFence?

The keep blocking me from accessing my own site every year for the 3 years we used the premium version of the program! They do this and you have to contact them by submitting a ticket and waiting 24 hours for them to get back to you! You cannot even see your site when they block you! It is ridiculous they do not take stock of the IP addresses that access it properly! I cannot understand how this is happening. But it is super frustrating and you cannot call them! Just submit tickets and wait for them to care! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
