This is the most comprehensive Ecommerce solution and we love it because it ensures our ownership over the process. We like working in Wordspress and we like the vast functionality of a solution like woocommerce. It's open source, which means you're more on your own with questions, but we find what we need fast. The cost of plugins can get quite expensive, so it's probably not the most cost effective solution. Wish the framework came with more built in features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I know there are other e-commerce solutions available for WordPress, and I'm sure they work just fine, but WooCommerce is the only plugin I look to when needing e-commerce on a website. In my opinion, the fact that they are owned by Automattic (the company behind WordPress) is a huge plus, because you know the product will ALWAYS work with WordPress and won't be dropped by a developer who "just got tired of doing it." In addition, they have a vast array of premium extension to further expand on the base functionality (from different payment gateways to subscription management, online bookings, and tons more). The free plugin makes online selling accessible for everyone, and it's easy to collect payments immediately via PayPal. Every extension I've ever purchased has worked nearly flawlessly, and when it doesn't, support is always immediately available via chat. Product support and reliability are two of my biggest deciding factors when looking at solutions for my clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the really great extensions are on the pricey side (at least, that's how some of my clients feel). Shelling out $250/year for online bookings or subscription services can be a hard pill to swallow for some small/micro businesses who are creating their first website. However, I would argue that their extensions are extremely affordable when compared to custom code development, and ideally the small business would be quickly and easily recouping that annual cost through the service the extension is providing. WooCommerce even though it is what I would call an "afterthought" for ecommerce on a website, is very robust and extendable. With the out of the box after installation ability to configure a payment gateway, simple shipping, and add products, it is a very easy and acceptable solution for light to moderate ecommerce needs. Additionally, for POD textiles and product designers, there are several companies such as Gooten, Printify, and Printful that offer direct integrations with woocommerce. For ecommerce on a large scale it is just not a well thought out enough platform like its competition is. Prestashop, Thirty-Bees, Shopify, and a few others that are strictly ecommerce solutions are more suited to the needs of shops that have more than 200-300 products. With that said, there are import plugins and there is a direct management tool developed by eMagicOne which I use consistently with prestashop and have used before with Woo, that make adding products simpler and more direct. The biggest issue is woo feels like every thing it needs outside its main plugin is just cumbersome. Shipping is not an easy out of the box thing to setup and even though I understand it now, it took a long time to get it right, whereas, prestahop's carrier configuration was easy and simple to setup with powerful modules to extend its functionality to live rates and tracking through the large major carriers. Free and open source, we can easily use WooCommerce extensions to make a powerful business store. There are a lots of templates to choose in marketplace, we can easily customize the layout and structure with the help of visual composer or elementor, but I prefer to use visual composer. :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

After installing WordPress in your server, you can simply search for WooCommerce through the Admin -> Plugins -> Add New and click to Install and Activate WooCommerce Plugin. Not only that the WooCommerce Plugin is freely available in the WP.org repository but there are many other free WordPress plugins that enhance the functionality of this plugin. Another best part of this plugin is the first time user flow which guides a user to easily get the eCommerce site ready. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When it is about eCommerce or any other online presence of a business, a huge portion of success lies in the aesthetic appeal. However, if someone with less experience with the WordPress themes starts to use WooCommerce, they'll need to go out of the WooCommerce plugin, i.e., WordPress Admin -> Appearance -> Themes -> Add New to add a WooCommerce compatible theme. Regardless of the theme selected, if WooCommerce plugin itself defined the option to display products in the frontend, that would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
WooCommerce is one of the most complete an powerful plugins for WordPress, just by installing it and applying certain settings we can transform our website into a fully functional online store.
What i like most is that WooComerce is free and even so it has all the necessary functionalities to manage our store. Product management is very easy, we can control orders and shipments and reports quickly and effectively, because the plugin is very intuitive and allows you to handle it easily.
Another great advantage is that by default we can configure different forms of payment for our clients including PayPal, we can also combine other payment gateways such as: Braintree, Stripe, Authorize.net and others.
Woocommerce has a large community of users around the world and is used in thousand of online stores, there are also many tutorials that allow us to know the plugin in depth to use it effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
WooCommerce is free, but if we want to manage an online store in a professional way, we must combine it with other payment plugins that allow us to improve its functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The frontend development mechanism allows you to build an ecommerce store in a matter of minutes without having the need to know coding or html. You can start accepting orders immediately and even integrate payment gateway to your website at the click of a button Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only problem i find with woocommerce is the lack of much personalization options. You cannot get the desired look or setup as you would get in a fully coded backend website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. The Product Addition is very easy
2. Tax system is very much customisable
3. Auto Invoice generation
4. Multivendor & Front manager addon Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. API integration some time does not work. Also looking for integration with more logistic partners .
2. Woocommerce Dashboard could be more informative.
3. More addon on Elementor integration.
4. GST system needed to be integrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Among the things I like about WooCommerce are:
- Its easy configuration.
- Its friendly interface.
- The existence of enough free plugins that help to customize certain details of the store.
- Its compatibility with most WordPress themes.
- Which is made for WordPress and this makes SEO easy to carry for the store.
- The good amount of documentation available on the internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As an unattractive detail of this WordPress plugin, we can highlight the fact that to make a profound design change you must either have deep knowledge of programming and how the plugin works inside or pay for plugins that do that for you. Either of the two implies a high investment... be it financial or learning time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Woocommerce is providing an online experience to mange my online stores and to shop form variety of stores. Till now I have managed large no of orders and built strong customer relations. While creating my online selling store I did not face any difficulty in fact it is an open source ecommerce platform with easy plugin to any WordPress site. Woocommerce offers configurable shipping options and a diverse community of online resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No doubt that this software is available in various plans but few are the essential features which are paid, so the most feasible plan has hidden charges. Also a steep learning curve is associated with this software some training videos should be provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Free and opensource! Yes you heard it right. WooCommerce is an opensource software( you can say a plugin) which is a part of WordPress. Here we can start with free theme for initial stage of our ecommerce store. For better result we can use premium designed themes and plugins. Best part is there is no product limit on WooCommerce, you can post n number of products. WooCommerce is SEO friendly so it helps in rank our store and products ihigh in google search. We have to pay for instant support or we have to be dependent on community forum
as compare to Shopify , WooCommerce not cover hosting, user have to buy hosting and Domain separately Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't imagine our online store today without WooCommerce. I like this application because it provides detailed information on all the orders placed on our website, as well as reports on our sales for the month and the best-selling products. I also like because it has a section where we can see all the customer information. The function that notifies when a product is low in inventory is also very useful and important to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about WooCommerce is its section to add products, since I consider that it is not very intuitive. I think they should adopt an interface in the style of the Facebook Marketplace, where the product information is entered step by step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Woocommerce is an easy-to-use e-commerce platform for beginners who are just creating a website with wordpress. Your online store will be very powerful with woocommerce.Because it's all in one. All you have to do is install supporting plugins like wishlists, compare, secure payment methods with visa, mastercard, and paypal, track shipping, and more. Create coupons, product variables, price discounts, sales reports, integration with any email marketing everything makes your online store satisfy customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All easy and many guidelines on the internet. However, if you want to create a very powerful online store you need to install woocommerce addon (for example Yith). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Woo Commerce works as a WordPress plugin, where you install the plugin to turn your WordPress website into a fully functional online store. After that, it walks you through a store configuration page where you'll fill in the following:
Store contact information
Payment details
Shipping information
Extras like automated taxes Bulk product uploads.
Its very good tool for WordPress user who wants to host a website like ecommerce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All woo commerce has free plugin but some plugin is for amazon and flipkart site is paid one. I bought to use it my website but it doesn't work as desired. There are bugs/limitations in the plugins like it doesn't scrap the product from the link give. we should fetch a exact ASIN for it to work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The customizability of Woocommerce is incredible! along with all the additional features that can be purchased to create your ideal storefront. For instance the website I'm working on has Paypal, Stripe and Crypto Currencies as its 3 main payment processors. But I can add at least 7 more payment options for potential customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main characteristic that I dislike about Woocommerce is that in comparison to other e-commerce storefront builders it is pretty expensive. Meaning the costs can add up quickly when looking at all the upgrades you can put into your store. For instance, you can pay a monthly subscription for another e-commerce store builder and it would likely be less expensive and simpler to setup. But I took Woocommerce because I want to customize many features about my website long term and hate restrictions of my creativity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that WooCommerce allows the owner full control over the functionality and DESIGN of their online store. It's fully integratable with other services including Printful, Facebook's shopping feature and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that WooCommerce's backend can be a bit crowded and overwhelming for a user who isn't familiar. I think backend including the product creation pages can be more streamlined. However, this is such a small issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
woodcommerce i think is the best plugin for eCommerce as it's very easy to install all you need to do is click and click, although there is a need to type some Title and Description of your product but over all it is very easy as it is plug and play. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
there's not much of cons with woocommerce although you can't easily find the right theme for your style of your website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
