The best part of wondershare's recovery software is that it works surprisingly well to pick up files that have been deleted. When I was using it, it managed to flag up files from 6 + years ago! The price, you can download it for free, search for your files and once you find them and get ready to recover them, that's when it hits you with the price. Recommendations to others considering Wondershare Recoverit: Windows actually has a great disk recovery service built in but Wondershare Recoverit works and is incredibly easy to use. Install the software and buy a license 2. Select the storage media from you want to recover files. 3. Just click on Recover and it does its job. It is fast, efficient and recovers pretty much everything by reading the sectors effectively. Recovery rate is over 95%. It did a great job in recovering old data from my old hard drive without a fuss. And since then I am using it whenever it's needed to recover data from many storage media. It went through the process, but the files it recovered wouldn't open. Tech support said they were corrupt prior to the reformat, which I know is not the case. I then ran Raw recovery and everything came out all as numbered files. It will take a lot of time to open each one to figure out which ones they are. It did not recover any of my photos. Wondershare Data Recovery received an update recently that improved its interface to a more modern, but that is the inconvenient, receives very little updates. I also had a licensing inconvenience, because I tried to install the software on several computers because the license supported it, however, the program prevented me from doing so.
