Suddenly I see I am upgraded to premium, which I did not want, and am paying 4 times as much per month. I chatted with a CS agent who told me to cancel the premium, sign up again as basic, and that I would get a refund. I requested a refund per her suggestion. She ended the chat before I finished, after I asked how to resign up, and then the refund was denied. Beware of this company and their ability to suddenly upgrade you with no direct method of downgrading (per the CS representative) Looking for a new provider. **Recommendations to others considering Wix:** Wix is the easiest website builder to use that I have found. I did a lot of research before using this and have never regretted the decision. What takes hours in other platforms, is mere minutes in Wix. i.e. Animations, integrations, transitions)... transfering a paid website rights between differnt designs, and much functionality other sites do not offer, **What do you dislike about Wix?** UX is not consistent throughout the experience.... foir example type styling and theme management. They appear in different manner, and with different options (i.e. sometimes you can modify font weight or size, but sometimes you can only use pre-exiting styles). Also, the canned animations sometimes miss important properties (for example, the ability to change a logo on a moving top menu (important, as menu can shift from transparent to solid color and logo needs to turn negative, or be smaller). Another pet peeve is the limited site versioning, and the confusing internal staging, the inability for an agency to duplicate sites for a customer, an a few other UX incositencies throughout. Despite offering a pretty robust user management dashborad, they should also shift to collaborative design (like Webflow, Figma, and others) where you can leave comments on parts of the site to other editiors and designers. **What problems is Wix solving and how is that benefiting you?** Super easy modular web design, yet with enough options to feel bespoke. ### 14. You can build your site for free and get everything laid out, tested, and then if you need a custom domain attached, you can pay the subscription fee to have an official site. Free sites can still be accessed by the public, just without a special domain address. Adding pics, videos, contact forms, etc, is as simple as click the option, put it where you want, edit the text and click the publish button. Changes are immediately live. If you can create a simple Word document, then you can create a beautiful website with Wix. If you're not super creative, they have a ton of templates to choose from to get you on your way. I also enjoy how easy it converts to a mobile site with little to no editing of that layout.
