Wishpond, a costly mistake **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Joseph C. | Director/CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2024 **What do you like best about Wishpond?** When you hire a tech-centric company that purports to use "teams" of creative people, you'd expect a certain level of expertise. We had never advertised on Google. We hired Wishpond to create a campaign promoting an event in the fall in Italy. A food tour ending in a highly popular food festival. My account with Google was brand new when Wishpond went to work. Unblemished. Two and a half months into spring, my account rep forwards me an email from Google saying "the appeal for your account suspension has been denied". ??? What appeal? What suspension??!! It's June, people have to book flights and the company I hired to make Google work for me has somehow gotten my business suspended before we'd even begun. It was July by time it got straightened out June was a large black hole for which they still charged me $135. Cut to now and they say that I have a contract with them for the rest of the year. They showed an agreement with someone else's signature on it I show them a screenshot of their Google page saying "you can cancel at any time". Whatever benefit I derived from some of their work was offset by the mishandling of the Google ad campaign. They were supposed to be experts. I trusted them. I shouldn't have. **What do you dislike about Wishpond?** Unreliable, untrustworthy, passive/aggressive. **What problems is Wishpond solving and how is that benefiting you?** They created a problem that didn't exist before I hired them ### 2. Makes me wonder if someone actually works there **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Rani G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2020 **What do you like best about Wishpond?** That they are based in Canada but don't let that fool you. **What do you dislike about Wishpond?** At first their representative promised that he could replace my writer, marketer and social media person and replace it Wishpond services. That was a lie and I find out the man was fired but that left me with a 6 month contract and no one to do the job promised as I had fired the people I used to work with. That's one. Second getting a response from them is the worst part. No one responds to emails not even their accounting department but they won't stop themselves from taking the money from small business owners and then serve their high paying clients with it! Third can you believe it takes over a month to set up an add? They were supposed to set up a bar on my website and couldn't do it within 3 months?!? You always have to run after them to do their job. Defeats the purpose of hiring someone to do something in order to give you more time to take care of your business. Fourth the only thing that they did that was good for us was a giveaway but once the giveaway was done it took over a week to get the emails to sens out to the losers and the winner! How disorganized do you have to be? I was getting messages left and right asking who won. In the end I sent the email to the winner. Defeats the purpose of hiring someone to take care of it. I go could on with my disappointment and bad experience with them but in all honesty I am just 100% dissatisfied with them and with the way they handled my account within the past 6 months. **What problems is Wishpond solving and how is that benefiting you?** They were hired to grow my sales, send my monthly blog & newsletter and grow my online presence. Although in truth their service is a problem within itself, I am not using them anymore.
