Wirewiki is a free, open platform that maps internet infrastructure as a connected system instead of a set of disconnected lookup results. Wirewiki is built to make the internet’s underlying wiring transparent, navigable, and understandable for everyone. Where traditional tools answer one isolated question at a time, Wirewiki links domains, IP addresses, and DNS servers so users can move naturally from one asset to the next and follow real-world infrastructure relationships in context. The platform is designed for both practical troubleshooting and deeper technical exploration. Website owners can use it to diagnose configuration issues faster, while DevOps engineers can use it to understand how distributed systems connect across DNS and network layers. Instead of forcing users to repeatedly run single-purpose checks and manually stitch findings together, Wirewiki turns fragmented technical data into a browsable graph of related infrastructure. The result is a workflow that feels less like querying a database and more like exploring a map. At launch, Wirewiki includes DNS lookup, DNS propagation checks, SPF validation, IP address data, and DNS server intelligence. It also continuously scans the entire IPv4 space to identify active DNS servers, monitor availability, and publish those observations. This creates one of the most comprehensive publicly accessible overviews of live DNS infrastructure. By combining broad measurement with linked exploration, Wirewiki helps users quickly go from “what is this record?” to “how is this system connected, and what does that imply?” The project comes from hard-earned product experience. After building Nslookup.io to more than 600,000 monthly users, Ruurtjan identified a ceiling in DNS-only tooling: even strong point solutions still leave users jumping between tabs, tools, and partial answers. Wirewiki is the response to that gap. It is built not only to answer questions, but to support discovery - showing how infrastructure components relate, where dependencies exist, and how technical decisions propagate across systems. Wirewiki’s broader direction is to expand beyond current capabilities into domain registrar, hosting provider, CDN, and ASN data, extending the same interlinked model across more of the internet stack. That expansion reflects a larger thesis: as digital infrastructure becomes more economically and geopolitically important, public visibility into how systems are structured matters more. Concentration risk, dependency chains, and operational resilience are difficult to evaluate when data is siloed. A connected, open map makes those patterns easier to inspect.
