It was easy to run, you just click and it scans things. Looks simple, nothing complicated. **What do you dislike about WinZip System Utilities Suite?** After that I just didn’t feel like opening it again. Feels like one of those tools you use once and forget. Some things look useful, but I didn’t really need them. **What problems is WinZip System Utilities Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helped clean some files and check the system, but that’s about it. Didn’t turn into something I use regularly. ### 2. Starting in the 1990ies from the basic functionality of archiver, it eventually upgraded in the 2000-2010ies to multitool which combines functions like AES archive encryption, basic system backups, archive uploading on your FTP or cloud services like OneDrive or Google Drive, direct compact disc or burning, integration with system and external systems. At the moment it supports not only ZIP files but also other popular archive formats like RAR, 7Z, etc. It works pretty stably while you work in a typical environment. **What do you dislike about WinZip System Utilities Suite?** WinZip is not a very modern solution. It contains many legacy functions, which are nor actual nor common nowadays. Also WinZip does not support modern archive types like RAR5. For some of archive types, like 7Z or RAR, it supports unarchiving, but does not support archiving in these types. Some features like creating self-extracted archive are moved from WinZip to another products, which causes the need to pay for tool one more time. Some features like system context menu are still implemented not very well. Archiving and unarchiving speeds are not reliable comparing to its main competitors like WinRAR or 7Z. Memory consumption is also too high for this kind of product. **Recommendations to others considering WinZip System Utilities Suite:** If you have only basic needs like archiving and unarchiving files, you should consider using your operation system internal archiving functions. If you need advanced archiving functions, you should consider 7Z or WinRAR. **What problems is WinZip System Utilities Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were solving our basic needs for system archivers like compressing and uncompressing files, creating self-extracted archives for our software distros and so on. ### 4. A feature called Smart PC Care is also included in the suite which schedules the maintenance for the system. It does maintenance at regular intervals wherein it scans for any system disk or registry errors, temp dump files and garbage which lies in the systems, optimizes them if required and clean them if they are unwanted. It take cares of the security too by continuous malware scanning to help protect from malware in browser and cookies etc. **What do you dislike about WinZip System Utilities Suite?** Though it provides a large set of features, but they are not up to the mark of today's stands and requirements. Other competitors are offering the same set of features along with some additional features as well at a very relatively lower prices than this. There is no free version available for usage, only we can use free during trial period. Lot of features are already available in native Windows OS management, so we can do it from there itself instead of moving to this software suite **Recommendations to others considering WinZip System Utilities Suite:** It can be one of the options to maintain and manage your system, although it is free for use only for a stipulated period of time. Later on further, we require a license to use which is high price than the competitors which provide better features in lesser price point. **What problems is WinZip System Utilities Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** I no longer have to worry about outdated system software drivers as the WinZip System Ultilities Suite automatically check for the updates and updates them at regular intervals. I can detect the problems in the disk if any and perform the proper fixture to them. The registry is also automatically cleaned up and overall I don't have to take care of managing the PC health and it's optimization unless the utility shows any warnings for the same. Programs which are started at the startup along with the operating system can be controlled through the Startup & Schedule module of this utility suite. ### 5. It's easy to create and share zip files and allows access to advanced processing options not offered by Windows built-in zip features, such as AES encryption, text encoding, self extraction, multi-part files, and social/cloud integration. **What do you dislike about WinZip System Utilities Suite?** WinZip does not ship with command line utilities by default, and the normal zip file format still allows viewing the file names and folder structure of encrypted data. This is a weakness of zip files, although WinZip also provides the ZipX format. **What problems is WinZip System Utilities Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** We rely on the encryption to exchange sensitive proprietary data with customers and third parties. ### 6. program suitable for those with limited computer skills **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019 **What do you like best about WinZip System Utilities Suite?** The program is small in size, has a clean interface, works efficiently in the background, fairly straightforward to use, has a fairly inexpensive yearly fee, has many useful features such as disk cleaner and optimizer, and backup & recovery functions and maintenance scheduler. Most of these features are similar to Norton utilities suite. I downloaded this on my computer and I use it occassionally to keep my system in good shape. **What do you dislike about WinZip System Utilities Suite?** Most of the features are already included into Windows 10 for those computer savvy and don't want to spend the money. You can usually use msconfig to remove a lot of startup programs to make your computer run more efficiently. Also the yearly subscription model isn't great if you just want to own the product since you have to pay every year or else certain functions (such as the driver updater) will no longer work. **Recommendations to others considering WinZip System Utilities Suite:** I wouldn't recommend this software suite to others if your company has a decent IT department as there are better tools they can use to make your computer more efficient . **What problems is WinZip System Utilities Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Winzip System Utilities Suite helps me keep my computer running in tip top shape and reduces lag on my computer all packaged in a clean interface without having to look for all the similar Windows functions available in Windows 10. ### 7.
