WinSCP is a very useful tool being a developer as you have to access remote machines every now and then. It comes in handy when you have to check something on your linux machine. It also lets you save credentials for faster login. It gives you the ability to use PuTTY to access Linux terminal. I have been usign WinScp for more than a decade now. This is really an awesome tool. The sessions can be stored and even the passwords so that I need not remember every time I connect to every machines. Most of the times I connect from my windows machine to a unix based remote device to deploy some files. The UI is so friendly that even a beginner can handle it very well. Winscp helps us to connect any virtual machines remotely. It provides drag and drop feature, using that we can easily keep our file from local machine to virtual machine and vice-versa. Also we can open the files in virtual machine using our local notepad setup and can easily make changes. We can also save our credentials to save our time next time to login. I like that you can use WinSCP to access remote servers, work on files (add, upload, edit, delete, etc), move the files around, download files, and whatnot.
