Antoine did a great job of presenting proven sales techniques and strategies in an easy to follow format. The frameworks for each stage of the sales process were straight-forward and easy to implement.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The ACE framework has already proven to be effective in opening up calls.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I don't see any downside of using these techniques.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This training was very helpful in refining my overall sales process from beginning to end.

  ### 3. Returning Customer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brannon S. | Sales Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Sales Methodology Training

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The Framework is rock-solid and so are their people

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

This is an incredibly hard ask... but it would be even more helpful if our WbD team knew our business/ sales motions nearly as well as we do.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

In my experience, there are only a couple of firms that provide the level of service that WbD does. In the end, it came down to who would mesh best with our team's culture.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, the team is a mix of half seasoned reps and half junior. Prior to WBD we didn't have a common language and needed everyone working of the same playbook. We are already reaping several benefits from the training but the biggest impact is the repeatable process that all of our sellers are now following.
Lindsey Bye & Miya Mee-Lee Dias were both instrumental in getting our team to this point. I hope to have the chance to work with both in the future.

  ### 4. This method applies globally

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas G. | Growth Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I work at HubSpot LATAM, and I was a bit skeptical with how this course would apply to my market. Chris DeNoia was very helpful from the beginning (even before I decided to take the course) and guided me to understand the value of seeing sales as a science.

The simple idea of having a process that I can repeat with vigor has helped not only with my quota, but as well on the impact of less stress because I trust on the Input.

My conversations are just better somehow. It's not only useful for work, your way of listening and telling stories that people want to hear changes. I strongly recommend this course.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The level of engagement with other students. We did some role plays together in one hand. In the other, was great to ask for updates after each session and the impact in real life.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

It would have been great to see real calls in real life customers using the process.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Read the books as well. It's going to give you more insights,.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First and foremost trusting in a process repeatedly. I believed that as a sales rep many things were outside my control. Now I´am more careful with critical events and the difference with "nice to have" prospects.

  ### 5. Antoine from WBD has made me twice as productive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

As a sales rep, the frameworks I learned in this class will likely stick with me for the rest of my career. The multi-faceted approach from the course allowed me to actually retain the information.

Antoine in particular was very engaging throughout the whole time and kept the class productive and interesting each week.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Class structure (Recap, reinforcement, Kahoot, progress reports, etc. )

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

difficult to manage the time for the classes each week while still doing my job

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Great for young company 1-5 or company looking to reevaluate their sales process

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

developing strong foundation for our outbound sales engine

  ### 6. Best Sales Training Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrina F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I have been in sales for over 23 years. Winning by Design has exceeded all expectations. I like to think over the years I had transitioned to becoming a more modern-day sales associate with a consultative approach. This training nurtured my beliefs elevated my mindset by providing a framework I didn't realize I was missing. I was given the professional boost I have needed to take my skills to the next level.

Miya, who was our trainer, learned all the ins & outs of our business, team, culture, and adapted to customize her training material. The training material itself was structured very effectively. They provided easy pre-work to prepare us for the training session. Our training sessions were virtual, given the times. However, this was not a roadblock. Miya worked with Zoom like a pro, to conduct her training sessions and easily made it feel like a classroom experience with team breakout sessions. Miya was very real and authentic and provided a warm inviting experience and made everyone feel comfortable and eager to share their thoughts and feedback. After the training sessions, I would tell my colleagues and my spouse, I absolutely love Miya and wish she were my bestie!

I would rate this training 10 stars and every company looking to sharpen their seller skills should jump on board. This framework is something that you will take with you forever. It provides you the key ingredients to research your ideal customer, prepare to outreach, structure your call, overcome objections, prepare proposals, and work through commitment.

Thank you WBD team, you have been great to work with and especially thank you to Miya, who is an amazing trainer!

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The trainer, she kept me engaged and excited for the next session!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Possibly more customization. Some of the material at times were not relevant to our unique business, products, solutions.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have had more meaningful conversations. In particular, my calls are more efficient. I realized the key points that need to be communicated, have taken out the fluff and most importantly have created a better agenda for all of my discovery calls. I have been able to identify the right questions to ask at the right time. Identifying every unique customer's situation is key and helping them identify that their situation may not be ideal and we are truly there to help!

  ### 7. Consultative selling at it's finest!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin G. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I went through the Full Sales Cycle Certification Course with winning by design and found it very useful. I've always thought of myself as someone who "guides" someone to understand how they could use the product I sell and this just brought more tools into my tool belt.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I enjoyed my trainer. She included everyone in the sessions and also got insight from her trainees prior to the beginning of the training to see how they would learn best. Kudos to you Miya!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

This is a very small concern. I had gone through a previous training with Winning by Design a few years back and while there were new tools brought to the table in this session, many of the previous tools were just repackaged and called something new.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If you're considering training your sales team with Winning By Design, you won't find a better team to engage with your sellers.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I learned how to bring story telling to the table so that the customer sees how they can really benefit from the solution being sold. I also realized that I don't bring as many bottom line values when speaking to someone so I've learned how to do that depending on who I'm speaking with.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

the interactive classes, fun and rewarding

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

managing my time better. booking more meetings

  ### 9. Changing The Way We Think In SaaS Sales

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carrie F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

It was a privilege to be an active part of the class for helping Sales find success in SaaS type Selling. I truly learned so much and changed the way I think as a Sales Engineer, the way I demo and even how I empower my team. To get a deeper understanding in what today's SaaS platform buyers care about and how they make decisions was very powerful. Helping to learn new behaviors and rid of the old through repetition and coaching was beyond valuable. I appreciate the Team and look forward o continuing to learn more from Winning By Design!

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The post class coaching and peer sessions (breakout groups).

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The breakout groups were often too short and cut us off before the entire group had a chance to practice.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have mastered the ACE and SPLICED methods. Demos are going smoother and sales cycles are faster. Overall, holding the deal to a critical event and plan accordingly has changed how fast deals move forward!

  ### 10. Great training process that allows you to truly absorb and retain the information!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

WBD helped our team to learn a foundation for our outreach, overcoming objections, and time management.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

What I liked best was the overall structure of the course and the focus on retention. Prior to the training sessions you are directed to watch a few training videos and take short quizzes on each learning section prior to the class, the instructor teaches the material in a live session, and then you have quick activities to help you put into practice what you just learned. Each team member is called on to participate which also helps you to gain practice and retain the information. Our trainer was Antoine - he was great & very helpful!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Each training session was a bit time consuming, but I realized that this was helpful to be able to not only learn new material but to make sure you remembered what was covered in the previous sessions. The allotted time ensures that everyone is able to participate, discuss, and ask questions. It is honestly a very nice break in the day to focus on professional development.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My communication skills with prospects and customers has greatly benefited from Winning by Design. The WBD course gives you easy frameworks to make sure your outreach is in the best interest the customer such as: respectful ways to open up both scheduled and unscheduled calls, how to overcome many common objections, how to lead the conversation, and how to best facilitate next steps.

  ### 11. Winning by Design WINS!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leah G. | Enterprise Inside Sales Rep, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Helping develop not only myself but my teammates and colleagues sales and communication skills. Provided actionable learning and great insights to help anyone's career -- whether they be new to sales or a tenured AE!

Dan takes a lot of time and thought in developing out these learning plans. Not to mention he is more experienced than most and you are earning from someone who knows A LOT on the topic.

If you want to be well rounded in your sales skills, WIN with Winning by Design!

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan. Plain and simple. He is amazing and inspiring and his content is wonderful and helpful. Thoroughly thoughtful and crafted in his work.

He does a great job of captivating the room - Even during the Work From Home/Covid era on Zoom -now thats just impressive. He gets the whole room involved and learning and up to speed. He makes everyone feel included and hold people accountable to learn the material in a fun and exciting way.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing except trying to remember all of the quality insight he is helping us with! He even gives us tips on that problem as well!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

10/10 I recommend Winning by Design. If you want your revenue teams to be masters of the art, Dan and his team come highly recommended by not only myself but the Asana team

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gaps in my sales cycle and developing my own personal take on my sales process. As a newer person in sales, developing this can be hard. Where you learn and what guidance you take on is important. I have realized my own style of selling while being able to think strategically and well-roundedly about the closing cycle.

Because of this training, I have already seen my own sales cycle improve. He also integrates other aspects into the teachings as well - how can we better our own speaking? Tone? Mirror? Things that most sales reps may not think of off the top of their heads. It has been extremely fun practicing these on my customer calls.

  ### 12. A sales process that makes sense

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick S. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2019

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Sales Methodology Training

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

What a fantastic program, the best sales training I've ever gone through.

Dan Smith at Winning By Design was engaging, informative, and tailored the content to our specific needs and sales model.

Winning By Design has totally changed my sales process and the way I think about creating value for my customers. I've worked through other sales training programs in the past and they seem to either focused on abstract concepts or are too in the weeds with little tricks and tips.

Where Winning by Design shines is in the process/systems. It's like taking an economic class for sales. They speak to each step in the sales process in a scientific way that makes sense and can be visualized. As a visual learner, this was great to see.Their training is programmatic, in the best way.

They also understand an important secret of successful sales = salesmen need to constantly change to break away from the noise. The way we sell consistently changes. For example, mobile phone have changed the way sellers sell and buyers buy. Once someone develops a new approach, it's soon after emulated and ruined by the masses of sales folks all doing the same thing. WBD did a good job of debunking "tried and true" tactics that no longer work in 2019.

As a sales rep, it's taught me have to have a casual conversation with a customer that is fluid, but guided toward a specific goal. (ACE + Agenda baby!)

Dan and WBD have simplified sales by giving models that I will continue to use throughout my sales career.

10/10 would train again

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Like all muscle memory adjustments, it's difficult to completely change overnight (or over a 4-day crash course). Continued training is important to lock in the new skills.

While we do have bi-weekly follow up call renew sessions with Dan, they did seem a bit repetitive after a few. I would have preferred to alternate follow up sessions: call review, new skill learning, call review, new skill learning, etc

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the problem of lack of sales team standardization, not speaking the same language internally.

The benefits I received as a sales rep was having a single system that made sense. Prior to WBD, I was trying to use 4 or 5 different sales methodologies and it just felt confusing and messing.

This system makes the most sense to be, and having this as the main process for my has helped me move faster and close more deals.

  ### 13. Winning by Design offers engaging facilitators and powerful frameworks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I partnered with Winning by Design to implement an 18-hour training program for Asana's Customer Success team. The program covered fundamental and strategic skillsets and was facilitated by Dan Smith from Winning by Design. Dan had already been working with Asana's Sales team for over a year so was very familiar with Asana as a company. It was delivered entirely over Zoom due to COVID 19 to team members in the California Bay Area and New York.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

WbD's facilitation style is people-first. Dan made a clear effort to learn everyone's name and engage each and every participant during every training. He is an expert in virtual facilitation and Zoom specifically - everything from non-verbal reactions to breakout rooms to keep the room engaged.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I worked closely with Dan to adapt the WbD curriculum to meet the needs of our Customer Success team. Overall, the trainings were a success and we've received mostly positive feedback from the team. However, WbD content is designed for Sales teams, and even with our alterations, that came through to our team. If WbD truly wants to support CS and post-sales teams, I encourage them to continue to diversify their curriculum and bring on CS experts as content developers and facilitators.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Ensuring our pre- and post- sales teams are speaking the same language and using the same frameworks so that they can more effectively and efficiently collaborate and support our customers
- Ensuring every action a customer-facing team member takes with a customer is framed in terms of the customers' value, not our company's
- Enhancing the way our team works with customers to ensure customers receive the impact they are looking for

  ### 14. Engaging & relevant training for all sales teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** McKenna F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

We've worked with Winning by Design over the past two years to train the various customer facing teams at Asana. This was my third time going through the sales training and I can confidently say that I've picked up on something new or developed a skill further each time through.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Our team in Sydney has varying levels of sales experience and Dan Smith delivered the content in a way that was engaging and felt relevant for the entire group. Each session builds on concepts from previous sessions to help with reinforcement, and the Winning by Design team provides easy to digest materials for continued learning. The sales methodology framework is simple yet effective to guide conversations with prospects and customers, and from a sales management perspective, provides a clear structure for feedback in terms of process and execution when coaching your team.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I've thoroughly enjoyed the three trainings thus far with Winning By Design, and am excited for the next one.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Winning by Design training helps to standardise our selling methodology across a global sales organisation while providing new hires with a clear framework to ramp up quickly and be successful in their new role.

  ### 15. Great to have specific to me and my role

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Winning By Design's Alia Pirani took us through the world of customer success, understood the importance of customer success to the overall success of the company as a whole. Alia's patience and enthusiasm along with a great LMS experience made this an extremely valuable course and learning experience. Would highly recommend the course for Customer Success teams and managers looking for frameworks and strategy's to strengthen their team and performance.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The trainer's patience and enthusiasm was great. The in session exercises were useful and emphasized the need for preparation.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing to dislike - it was a good course with good content and a great trainer.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of them! The course gave me greater clarity on how to work with our teams to ensure a consistent high quality service is being administered for all customers regardless of who their customer success agent is, how to identify opportunities in difficult situations and how to better communicate to value of our product offering.

  ### 16. Sales Methodology That Makes Sense!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pete K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Dan was a great resource and teacher. He helped level up our overall sales org!

Dan was prepared for our org. He understood our product, business and target customers and was able to build a process that makes sense for reps to follow. There is no long, drawn out theory as to why WBD is the best sales approach, just easy to understand methodology that address a customer paint point. Dan was able to handle any objections from our team and provide a well thought out, informative response on how to approach a business specific scenario.

Even the more tenured reps came away with nuggets of value they can apply to their everyday calls and meetings.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan was easily approachable and available to answer any questions you had. He was thoughtful and clear on steps folks would need to take.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing comes to mind other than the standard feeling of having to do multiple days of sales training knowing you have a pile of work waiting for you. That being said if I have to invest multiple days in a sales training this is the one. WBD is pretty awesome to work with.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If you're looking for leveling up your Sales Org WBD should be at the top of your list in Sales Methodology.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving customer pain points with clear calls to action as a Sales Rep.

  ### 17. Winning By Design was a first class experience - from sales fundamentals to advanced techniques

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth M. | Commercial Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Winning By Design worked with my company, Asana, to train and level up our entire sales team.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan Smith was our trainer and he did an exceptional job in a few key areas. 1. Style and Tone: Dan was engaging and got everyone on my team to participate naturally - it wasn’t the typical pulling teeth scenario. By making an agreement with us up front, he got widespread and valuable responses from me and my coworkers throughout the program 2. Fundamentals: WbD uses psychology and tried and true sales techniques and packages them in a memorable and useful way. Through repetition, we started with some simple concepts like the ACE (appreciate, confirm time, end goal) and once mastered we could make them our own and internalize them in customer calls 3. Advanced techniques: we worked our way up to the really important and more complicated sales skills like contract negotiation. I’ve been able to use all techniques both fundamental and advanced in my day to day sales role to great effect.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There’s not much to call out about what I didn’t like. If I were to provide some feedback, I would have liked to see the program tailored even more to our specific SaaS product, for example when teaching the demo, connecting the wagons framework, it would have been so cool to see a WbD rep actually demo our product - or work with one of our reps to provide a talk track for their demo, using the WbD framework. Also, second small thing, the second year we utilized WbD services, it would have been cool to separate into two cohorts, those who had been through the training before, and newbies - so that the veterans could move on to more advanced, targeted material.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I’m not sure how many trainers they have but I would recommend carefully selecting your instructor based on who you believe will resonate with your team.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

See my answer to the first question. Winning By Design helps sales teams come together to align on process and technique. Most sales teams are a mix of people coming from different backgrounds with different levels of experience - Winning By Design has something for everyone. In terms of realized benefits: more confidence in discovery calls and demos, consistency in phone call outcomes (getting the needed information from a customer to help support them in the best possible way), a framework to coach new reps coming into the team, better coaching skills for each other, more confidence in deal negotiation, etc.

  ### 18. Dan and his team truly helped level up our sales team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claire E. | Business Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Dan helped our team through a series of trainings on the WBD framework, each session focusing on a different aspect of it and how to apply each to customer interactions

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan is extremely engaging, knowledgable, and encouraging. Although our sessions were virtual due to Covid, he still made sure that everyone was on the same page, paid attention, and fully grasped the concepts. He also exhibited an impressive knowledge of our product to bring in relevant examples and role plays for our team.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There were no downsides when working with Dan & Antoinne!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

This was an experience I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to bring consistency and thoughtfulness to their sales org. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Dan and am confident I will carry the skills learned with him for the rest of my career

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With so many reps from different backgrounds, WBD helped us come together to find our unified process and approach for customer interactions. This consistency makes it easy to know where a deal stands at any point and allows us to have one collective language as a sales team

  ### 19. Exceptional Partnership & Training Delivery for our Sales Academy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa C. | Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Asana partnered with Winning by Design to deliver about 100 hours of Sales Academy curriculum across our 8 global cohorts. We spent over 6 months researching, assessing requirements, scoping and designing our learning plans and ultimately, executing. Dan & Boris from WBD delivered a series of fundamental manager trainings along with customized curriculum for our junior and senior sales professionals so we could start our year strong and speaking the same language.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Everyone absolutely enjoyed working with Dan & Boris. At the end of the day, the trainers make or break the experience and we were so lucky to partner with the best at what they do. Everyone from our most senior, strategic sales leaders to our newest sales hires were incredibly impressed by the caliber of our trainers and their sales & teaching expertise.

The upside of working with Winning by Design is being able to design and deliver a really tailored learning experience for our teams and meeting them where they are at, skill-wise. We didn't like the idea of choosing a cookie-cutter methodology invented in the 80's and wasn't reflective of SaaS today - WBD helped us accomplish this.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

We had to pivot our trainings to be delivered entirely virtual due to COVID, which wasn't ideal. But I have to say, we made the best of it and most our reps didn't even notice the difference. We simulated small group breakout exercises, ensured everyone participated and kept engagement supremely high.

Dan was able to utilize Zoom in such a way we felt we were still all connected and experiencing intimate conversations and learning moments.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I highly recommend WBD to any Enablement Director or Leader I come across. It's been the biggest game changer for my team and has reignited the passion for sales many of my teammates have.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Every year poses new opportunities, challenges and motions for our Sales Org. Winning by Design allows us to deliver top quality, customized training and introduce & refresh the fundamentals, while providing a standardized framework both Sales & Customer Success at Asana can work from.

  ### 20. Masterclass in sales training for the modern sales professional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean R. | Manager, Commercial Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Sales methodology training for our global sales organization.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan at WbD knows how to deliver engaging content, tailored to the unique needs of an organization. He took the time over the course of many months to meet with our sales leaders, understand our internal terminology and processes, and provide an incredibly thoughtful deployment plan. With trainers I've worked with in the past, they didn't take this step to fully entrench in our internal processes, which showed in the training. I believe this time, effort, and thought truly enabled Dan to establish rep credibility upfront, while simultaneously delivering super engaging content. Reps were actually enthusiastic going
into Dan's trainings and beyond keyed into them. I've never had such positive feedback from reps on sales trainings as I've had with WbD.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

(Not much, so scraping a bit here) At times, I would like to see a bit more of a prescriptive approach when answering questions. I really trust your judgement and insight, so I'd genuinely like to know how you would approach certain customer situations.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Establishing a relationship with your trainer from WbD is critical. Working with Dan was such a pleasure, so make sure you find the right person at WbD for your organization.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Going into the WbD training with Dan, our organization hadn't fully invested in a foundational sales methodology and had reached an inflection point where it was our number one priority to implement as thoughtfully as possible. We met with a fairly large number of potential sales trainers and were beyond impressed by Dan. As a result of the sales training, we've seen a foundational shift in how we interact with our customers, how we coach reps, and how reps coach each other. Dan was able to help facilitate a coaching culture that has changed our sales business.

  ### 21. Immersive, Informative and Entertaining

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter A. E. | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Dan Smith from WbD was tasked to roll out a Customer Success (CS) Academy workshop series over the course of multiple sessions that was aimed to advance our understanding of customer interaction, story telling and value messaging. This was broken out into 6 sessions each with their own focus on parts of our engagement process.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Throughout the sessions Dan was able to keep us fully engaged and break out concepts in a manner that was easily approachable and encouraged group engagement/participation. The content itself was fantastic and immediately applicable to my daily work/client interactions. The resources that accompany the content sessions are also great to have on hand to refer back to and have been a bookmark since the trainings that I'll occasionally refer back to and refresh what I've learned.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I feel my only dislike is more on the side of planning and less on the side of execution of what the Project aimed to do, and that is have two 1 1/2 hour sessions in a single day can be a bit taxing with other client work mixed in. This didn't take away from the content, but if I were to change one thing it would be to space out the content to let information settle.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If you're looking to get your client facing team speaking the same "language" then trust that WbD can help you get there. Even for those with a seasoned track record of client facing roles, there is something to take away from these trainings for every skill level.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The goals of the sessions we planned were to have consistent messaging with our clients across Sales/Success and how they can realize/demonstrate value. Immediately I've noticed great benefits from the specific frameworks we reviewed and applied; ACE, SPICED, Bowtie Funnels, etc. Having a Sales and Success team that are both on the same time is something I will never take for granted and this project helped us achieve that and take it to a whole new level.

  ### 22. Great sales trainings for all B2B SaaS teams, regardless of experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nalin V. | Head of New Business Sales - North America, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

We had WBD come to train our sales team at Asana for the last two years, and can confidently say we'll be inviting them back next year.

I've been through most sales trainings - Sandler, Challenger, John Barrows, Jeff Hoffman - and while all of them were great, WBD was the only one that felt simple enough for all of our sales teams to digest + implement, while also offering a level of depth that could teach something new for SMB + Enterprise teams.

The best part of WBD by far is Dan Smith's training approach - he's one of the best in the game. He does a great job of engaging the room, layering in new topics and ensuring the team leaves feeling excited to implement new techniques in their sales process.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

WBD's approach is completely data-driven and science backed. They only teach concepts that have been validated by data + research, rather than focusing on the art of sales.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Reinforcement is always tough, and it could be helpful to have more prescriptive advice from WBD to ensure the sales reps follow-through with the most important concepts that would level up our team.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Recommend to those who need to ensure a clear, standardized sales process with science-backed techniques to level up your team.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Standardized terminology, ability to give clear feedback to reps, and clear ways for reps to drive impact on deals and be more customer-centric.

  ### 23. Excellent customized training for our SaaS Customer Success team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annie L. | Business Development & Operations Associate - Contracts Intelligence and M&A (now Knowable), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Winning by Design ran a series of lessons and workshops for our Sales and Customer Success teams, focused around honing and upleveling our customer relationship management and business development skillsets.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

WbD was very thoughtful in crafting content that was relevant and applicable to our business. Sessions were interactive, dynamic, well-balanced between instruction and discussion/practice, and laid out in a way that made them digestible and easy to follow (which is certainly saying something, since everything was virtually conducted for quite sizable audience groups!). Dan Smith was an excellent trainer/coach – approachable, patient, motivating – who accounted for different learning and participation styles and tailored the training content to his cohort. WbD's approach provided enough guidance and examples of common strategies that work and tangible tactical skills to learn from, while also allowing flexibility for adaptation and inviting our team members to bring in real-time customer examples and questions they were working through. This allowed us to walk away with relevant strategies we could deploy with our customers and account scenarios right away.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The sessions being conducted virtually made participation slightly more forced and daunting (in the sense of "being put on the spot"), though efforts were clearly made to alleviate those concerns. Content was presented in a way that was cumulative, where sessions referenced and drew from previous sessions – that sometimes made it difficult to catch up or answer questions if you weren't involved or paying attention to previously presented materials.

My biggest dislike was that we don't have more WbD sessions throughout the year to continually hone and adapt our skills.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building and expanding customer relationships, developing accounts, running more effective meetings

  ### 24. Great course for a new manager - starting best practices early!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erica H. | Sales Development Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I was a SDR and went from being a peer to a manager, as well as managing a new remote team that I had only met in person 1x before (thank you coronavirus).

Setting up a framework for how my relationship should be with each of my teams and each member on my teams early on has helped me see success early. I feel like I have all of the tools I need to structure an effective SDR program - specifically around coaching and creating a coaching culture.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I loved the interaction with managers from other organizations - it helped provide diversity of thought and also made me realize that this course is helpful for ALL managers - not just new ones.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The only downside was the format of the 2-hour course over 4-weeks. I think if it were 1-2 hours over 6-8 weeks, it would allow more time for putting practices in place and being able to give and receive feedback from the others in the course.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

This is a great course for managers in Sales/Sales Development. One thing I'd say is the more people in an org or department that take the training, the better as if the frameworks are coming from the course, they are easier to implement and educate on than if for example, a manager takes the course but the reps do not take the corresponding sales training.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm having an easier time connecting with each of the people on my team. Really enabled me to take a step back and understand what motivates each of them as individuals and what I can do to help them succeed in their roles and career.

  ### 25. Great trainers, on-point methodology and digestible format

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christa D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

We brought in WbD to up level our Account Executive, Account Management, Customer Success Management, Sales Development and Sales Leadership teams through training certification and playbook development.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

There are many aspects of the WbD training that resonated with me, but the top two are:

1) I really enjoyed the trainers I worked with. They are all experts in their craft and care deeply about the development of their students.

2) The actionable and digestible format of the training itself. Given that elements of the methodology are broken into smaller pieces, it allows students to truly master and practice specific skills before moving on to the next.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I wouldn't say that I dislike any part of the training, but I would note that:

1) As is that case with any training, it will take leadership's commitment to ensure the full adoption by your team and it can take time for individuals to build the muscle memory required.

2) The training style involves a lot of intentional repetition so that the student can commit to memory. It is a highly effective technique but takes getting used to.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The sales team is operating in a more standardized and streamlined fashion.

  ### 26. A great learning experience for even experienced sales professionals!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate K. | Business Development Representative, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I had a great experience with Lindsey Bye at Winning by Design. The class took a much different approach to past sales training courses I've attended. The course was very interactive and fostered conversation among the group. Even basic sales techniques were covered and I learned new techniques for things I never gave much thought too. The pre-work was helpful in getting more from the virtual sessions, and not just busy work. Lindsey is a great instructor and tailored her approach for each member of the group, and created a very welcoming environment in which to learn. I would highly recommend Winning by Design for both novice and experienced sales professional.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I liked how the course was interactive and engaging. It made the time fly by and I always came away from each session with a takeaway that I could implement into my daily workflow.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There's nothing I didn't like about the course with Winning by Design.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm having more meaningful conversations with customers, and already seeing that translate into more opportunities and better engagement in the sales cycle from customers.

  ### 27. Exactly what is needed to learn more about SaaS sales and customer success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William K. | Accountmanager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Alia was my instructor who took a very in-depth and personal approach to teaching on the fundamentals of becoming a Customer Success Manager. Especially for someone as me who is making the transition from pre-sales into post-sales, I could not have done it without this course. With Winning By Design learning materials on the theoretical and practical combined with Alia's own experience in SaaS this is definitely a must-have for individuals and companies to keep their commercially driven teams on top of their game. Not only was it a very pleasant experience that leaves me with the impression that I can successfully fulfill the role, she has also inspired me to look further than just what is taught and continuously adapt and apply within a company. This is a course which anyone should take, and with an instructor such as Alia I believe it can only continuously improve a companies value proposition and efficiency within SaaS while being able to adapt to the ever changing markets.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The application of theoretical in practical, you are not just taught on the what and why, but also the how. This is something which gives perspective to what you have learned. Also the underlying reasoning for example, why repetition is important for clients, it's to actually transform them eventually into their own ''Champions'' of which ever software/service they are using. Essentially you learn how to establish a life-long symbiotic relation with clients which is essential.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There was nothing to dislike about the course.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I see may applications and quite honestly only positive reasons to work with Winning By Desing, be it to train new, existing teams. I even see the purpose and value for teams/departments that are not sales, but with any that have client contact. Winning by Design is definitely a company that I will recommend to management wherever I go.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Business Developer you primarily focus on the ''now'' and what kind of value a software can bring, however after completing this course it has opened my eyes into learning how to anticipate and plan ahead with clients. Particularly in creating a two-way valuable relationship that both benefit from. It was most definitely interesting to learn how to apply theoretical models and frameworks into the practical. Something that many companies fail to do, but Alia's teaching methods with Winning By Design seem to have found that ''sweet spot'' formula.

  ### 28. Learned how to prospect the right way

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aileen D. | Sales Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Participated in the Prospecting Course and learned how to prospect the right way.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I liked the interactive part, at first I was not looking forward to it, but it really helps to master the new skills and tips & tricks we have learned. So I would say that the interactive part was definitely the part that I liked the most.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I think that we could have done a bit more to review all of the things that we had learned. As in I wouldn't mind doing more interactive exercises or adding another hour to be able to do so.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Would definitely recommend Winning By Design, it has really helped me show how I should properly prospect. I had no experience whatsoever and in the beginning, it was really hard to prospect, but now that I have finished the prospecting course, I am more confident to prospect than I was before. I have learned a lot and I am grateful my company gave me the chance to follow this course.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I now know how to properly do an unscheduled call and I am so grateful for that, cold calling is already stressful and having a clear view on how to do it really helps to have an idea on how your call should look like.
I also know how a good email should look like, before I was just doing research and experimented a bit with what worked for me. Now I know what the structure is and use this for me emails.
I also use the framework we have learned for unscheduled calls and the introduction has really worked out well for me.
Furthermore I have learned how to ask the right questions and I am constantly using this when I am calling, thinking about how to start my question.
Overal I would have to say that I am using everything I have learned and that it has helped me and I am sure it will continue to help me in the future.

  ### 29. WBD's methodology changed our business completely

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin A. | VR/AR business developer & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I follow Jacco for some years now and I'm a strong believer in the WBD methodology, it changed the structure of our sales conversation completely. The follow up with the amazing Harold Roegiers and the frequent check-ups made sure that our organization did a 247% Increase in revenue and profit than the year before. So I'm a very happy man and our organization is thankful to WBD

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The open conversations, the human touch, and no matter what problem there is you won't be judged but helped to the max. I'm a huge fan of the youtube channel and all the content they are producing.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I have no idea what to dislike about the whole organization. The whole team is there to help us everytime.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I wouldn't doubt, they are here to help you and I'm sure they are gonna do an amazing job for you.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a very specific product to sell and WBD helped us selling without really selling. So we are now mastering the conversations and putting out more and more content that helped us forward as an expert in our field. The benefit followed quickly, more yesses, new clients, bigger projects, more revenue, more focus, more profit.

  ### 30. Most valuable sales training I have been a part of

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Having gone through multiple sales trainings at 2 different well-established publicly traded software companies in the past, my experience with Dan and Winning by Design was head and shoulders above the rest. Their approach to the training process was completely different and put the focus on making sure the content would be retained. It also felt extremely relevant to the nature of the sales process at my current company.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

This is training for the current generation of software sales. The way Dan and team have built this training is both with the current state as well as the future of software sales in mind. The process started off with context on why sales is different now than it has ever been and why we need to change our perspective on the nature of the vendor / client relationship. I feel that I have tools now that will make me a valuable to organizations for years to come.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There were a couple times where we covered a lot of content in a relative short amount of time. It may have been lower priority content, but made it a bit hard retain. I'm grasping at straws here.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

As a salesperson having gone through 2 cycles of their training, I absolutely recommend it. Something else to know, my first round of training was in person with Dan and the second round was remote due to covid. I was impressed with how well Dan transitioned to fully remote training out of pure necessity and I'm sure with little time to plan it. He quickly became a Zoom expert and used all tools at his disposal to help make the experience as close to the in person version as possble.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a more polished and professional salesperson as a result of my time with Dan and Winning by Design. There are aspects of this training I will take with me wherever I go. The benefits I have realized so far are improvements in my current sales cycles and even an improvement in confidence coming to the table no matter who is on the other side of it.

  ### 31. Prospecting Masterclass Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arthur B. | Sales Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Our company hired WBD for the Prospecting Masterclass for our BDR Team. I've been with the company for a couple of months now and they decided to give us our first external training with Winning by Design.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The easy-to-use & quickly applicable frameworks in both cold calling & outbound mailing.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The least helpful is quite difficult as the entire team is more than satisfied with the training materials and the frameworks that we have been studying. I would say that the least helpful would be that it only covers 4 sessions. An extra session to cover the most important stuff from the weeks before would be good.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If it's your first training as a BDR/sales rep in prospecting it is, in my opinion, the best course for BDR teams out there.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With WBD, we have realized a streamlined process for our call scripts (scheduled & unscheduled) and email campaigns, setting up relevant campaigns for different sectors & buyer personas.

  ### 32. Working with Winning By Design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Winning by Design has been working with our team to implement high impact coaching and effective role play/team meeting strategies to boost productivity and growth within our organization.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Miya was an incredibly engaging facilitator. She knew how to activate the group and foster extremely thoughtful conversation. The modules were a mix of short videos and 2-3 page reading materials that made digesting information easy.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Our training was very specific to us as a manager group, but I would've liked to have some time dedicated to learning the same selling tools/tactics our reps would be trained on. It made our training as leaders feel somewhat incomplete.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to conduct high impact coaching, establishing cadences for role plans and learning sessions that HELP our ICs to succeed. From an IC perspective, training on discovery calls and effectively selling a product suite.

  ### 33. The best & most beneficial training I've ever experienced in my 8 years of Software Sales!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alesia V. | Mid-Market Account Executive, ANZ, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Dan has been tremendously helpful during our Winning by Design Sales Training. He's been clear, thoughtful and well prepared during each training. I've transformed my sales process and have seen my relationships with my colleagues and prospect thrive through "mirroring and active listening".

Small tips such as using a prospects language and repeating back what they said have made me a more reliable and credible resource for organisations I work with. I always look forward to our trainings with Dan and sad they have come to an end.

I've been in software sales for 8 years and the last year at Asana and training with Dan has been beyond transformative for me. I highly encourage any company that is considering to partner with Dan to DO IT! You won't regret it I promise.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dans energy and well thought out resources he had provided. Even though we are a world away in Australia he always made it very engaging.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

That we couldn't have Dan in Australia due to COVID. Would have loved to have in person trainings with him!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Do it you truly will be so happy with the results and build an incredible relationship with your customers!

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a thought leader and trusted advisor by my prospects and clients. The benefits I have realised is that I did not have a true process when selling. Now I implement the SPICED framework into my calls and its enabled me to really understand my clients without sounding "Salesy"

  ### 34. Great content and methodology to handle your SaaS solution Sales Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjuna H. | Customer Support Manager - Australia & New Zealand, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I was part of the Winning by Design training around SaaS solution sales process. Harry conducted a training right from scratch.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Content was amazing. But my favourits was the tips and tricks offered by Harry on every topic. These tips and trick have helped me develop a different perception towards the solution selling process.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing in particular. I really enjoyed the trainin and insights from Harry

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Winning by Design training and tips helped me structure my overall Sales process. In addition to that, Harry guided us on how to become more consistent with outreaches, content and solution overviews. These new techniques has helped deep dive in to customer needs/pains and drive value in to each and every conversation. Also have received some great input on benefits we can achieve by moving away from thetraditional "Sales Mindset" to become a value driver. Harry also helped me with feedback on specific scenarios even after our sessions!

  ### 35. Informative and easy to digest and retain.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Optimization of sales operations processes as well as techniques to engage prospects successfully.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Learning structure, from prep material to live session engagements.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There seems to be a few slight differences in the read ahead material in terms of graphs and terminology. But not a significant difference that you can't understand intent.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better structure to engagements which allows for better analysis on what is working and where bottlenecks are.

  ### 36. Highly recommend WBD Manager Training for developing coaching skills!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I participated in WBD Manager Training in July 2020 with Miya Mee-Lee Dias. She was hands down the strongest remote facilitators I've ever been trained by! The training helped to develop and foster 1:1 and 1:Many coaching skills. We specifically learned how to facilitate group training, how to conduct group coaching sessions, and lead more impactful 1:1s with direct reports.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

My favorite part was the facilitator Miya and the learnings that come from being in a group setting. Miya's energy and ability to engage us in every session made our discussions impactful and interactive. We were a diverse group and she did a good job asking us questions to provide a perspective that benefited the entire audience.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I selfishly wish the course was longer or perhaps had different levels so the learning can continue :)

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If you're looking for a short coaching course with best practices you can start using immediately in team meetings and with your directs - this is a great course to take

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to understand how to be a better facilitator and coach for my team; especially in a remote setting. WBD & Miya taught practices that I started using in my meetings and 1:1s immediately. I saw the difference in the engagement and energy of my team just after a week.

  ### 37. These are lessons any CSM can apply instantly in conversations with clients.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

The lessons and methods taught in WBD helped me structure conversations with my clients, as well as uncover opportunities to enhance their experience in the use of our service. During training, I was able to apply SaaS Methodology to move two clients forward with upsell opportunities and bring in extra revenue, all during a global pandemic and economic crisis! The structured conversation didn't even feel like I was "making a sale". I felt like I was enhancing my relationship with my clients and providing an ideal resolution for a pain that they were feeling.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Direct coaching on recorded client calls. It was valuable to apply the lessons on a real conversation and take them back to the coaches and my peers. This helped garner great feedback! It also helped to pick up on things that other peers were doing while having conversations with their clients.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Role plays; simply because they're hard! They were helpful in the long run, but sometimes it was difficult to translate a role play into a real world scenario.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If you are in any sales, fundraising, or client facing role, WBD offers valuable tools to help your team lead conversations. The sessions are interactive, well structured, and a great use of time.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In a client success role, we often have to have difficult conversations, overcome obstacles and client objections, and ultimately bring everything to a "resolution". WBD has helped me do just that in a short period of time with a couple of clients.

Also, WBD has helped my have a joint approach with my main points of contact. It's important that I lay out not only what my team will do to help the client be successful, but what the CLIENT or customer needs to do as well. It's been beneficial to hold them accountable, too! Recently, we missed a certain deadline with a client, but it was squarely because the client did not complete the "homework" given by the agreed upon due date. It took a lot of the heat off of us with their leadership team, because expectations had been laid out beforehand.

  ### 38. Wining by Design implemented a unified framework for success and up-leveled our whole sales team

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Our sales enablement team hired Winning by Design for the second year in a row to train the various sales teams within Asana. They trained our team on managing the SaaS sales process including how to run more effective meetings, demos, negotiations, mutual action plans, and navigating accounts.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan Smith, our trainer, is one of the best sales trainers I've had. He's keenly aware of each individuals progress in the course and has a knack for making sure everyone is participating and engaged. He also draws from his own experience as a sales rep throughout his sessions so he's teaching from a place of experience.

Even after the course is completed, I'll reference the course material to brush up on what I've learned.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Although this issue was entirely out of their WbD's control, conducting sales trainings through Zoom (in the middle of a pandemic) presents its own challenges. I don't think anything can replace in-person trainings programs. That said, even on Zoom they were still effective.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After completing the training, the team now has a go-to framework on how to run essential aspects of the sales cycle. In my opinion, the team as a whole is more confident in running meetings, managing negotiations, doing demos, etc. and can build upon what they've learned i this course.

  ### 39. Winning by Design was the most engaging and helpful sales training I've gone through in my career

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor H. | Account Executive, Enterprise, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

This was my team's second time working with Winning by Design and there's a reason we worked with them again. Dan and his team are highly engaging and very knowledgable. The sales framework they use is very effective and highly comprehensive. Dan always has a good answer for even the most obscure scenarios. After the completion of our sessions, I can confidently say my team is better prepared to sell from a strategic perspective.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The engagement level of the training was top notch. So many training organizations simply walk you through their methodology. Winning by Design's sessions were constantly requiring us to flex our mental capacity to apply the methodology. The energy was always high and our group started adopting the learnings immediately.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There's really not anything to dislike. Winning by Design too a customized approach to our Business so everything was highly relevant.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This was a sales training, so we were trying to keep the team standardized in the way we sell and also enabling any new hires to ramp their skills effectively.

We are a fast-paced start-up company in Santa Monica, CA looking for some new sales training as part of their onboarding process. They helped some of our new and most seasoned reps learn more about the nature of sales!

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

A huge shout of to Chris Denoia for being able to think outside the box and personally help each and every rep excel in sales in their own way. Chris has a great way of building a relationship with his mentees and is a problem solver like I have never seen before. Chris will make your sales team the robust and superior team you want and need!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

It is a ton of information to learn at once! Get your coffee ready!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

DO it! Don't think twice.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am speaking my customer's language more than ever and have been able to streamline the buyer's journey.

  ### 41. Clarity for your sales team with Winning by Design.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clark L. | Head of Inbound Sales Development, AMER, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Dan Smith and his team spent the last few months with our sales team, coaching on subjects ranging from discovery calls to negotiations and mutual action plans. Throughout this time, WBD was insightful and patient as we dealt with the realities of COVID-19. However, WBD's training was even more valuable during this time as our reps focused on what mattered and gained new tools to lead customer engagements with empathy and impact. Not only did WBD raise the performance of our team, the training acted as a morale booster as well.

WBD has set the tone for a successful year, and in our Q1 it is crucial that we get off to a fast start. Thanks to WBD, we did just that.

I would strongly recommend WBD to any sales team looking to get the best of their reps and learn some of the best in class training on champion development and win win negotiation.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I liked Dan's empathy and knowledge of how business leaders conduct decisions. He was a very clear teacher and brought out the best in reps by enabling them to share with each other and co-create mutual action plans and frameworks. WBD brought true delight with our sales team, as the fear was that in this time of remote work, teams would feel disconnected and silo'ed, but the reverse actually happened.

WBD was especially helpful at onboarding new reps and reps with less experience.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I didn't have any dislikes about my time with Winning By Design. Everything was very clearly stated out.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I'd strongly recommend WBD especially in this time of remote work. IT has been a game changer in terms of employee retention and employees happiness.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Elevating our sales teams' morale and performance during a time of remote work. More best practices sharing and more alignment - reps are able to close deals faster because of clear training and knowledge of where to go for case studies, deployment examples, and best practices.

Our teams are able to meet more effectively and staying connected.

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Our SDR team at Xplenty went through the prospecting training with Antoine and the Winning by Design team. The goal was to get a better understanding of the customer buying journey and how to become a better sales professional in the early buying stages.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Antoine for the win! The guidance by our instructor and his ability to help each of the SDR teams weakness' was by far the best part of the course. Antoine was able to understand each of my pain points during my prospecting efforts and he came up with a solution tailored to my workflow and industry.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Downsides? I wish this course was longer!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

For those truly looking to change how they approach prospecting, this is the course for you. Must be comfortable eliminating old, outdated, limiting beliefs from other prospecting methodologies, such as qualification-based selling, BANT, etc.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I went from having a goal of qualifying to a goal of how much value can I bring to this customer or person with our solution. A true change in my mindset that you can't put a price tag on!

  ### 43. Winning by Design is great!

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Although I am not on the sales team, I participated in the Winning by Design training session with Dan. His course helped me with my customer facing role and structuring my meetings to become more productive and get more with my customer sessions. I highly recommend it as this course teaches you to build a healthy and communicative relationship with your clients and also to be clear, direct, and concise during meetings.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan has an amazing whiteboard setup that is built for him to be very collaborative and direct about his teachings. (Check it out!) For every lesson he was teaching, he gave a lot of reasonings and backing as to why his method would work best.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

No dislikes here as the course was very helpful from start to finish.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Becoming more structured with my client meetings. 30 minutes is not a lot, so it taught me how to speak with a customer in a time crunch.

  ### 44. The most impactful and valuable sales training experience

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Asana brought in Winning by Design to help with sales training for our sales teams. I was an employee who participated in the training.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I loved how every session was extremely interactive. We got to learn new concepts and had the chance to practice these strategies with others in our group. Our instructors did a great job engaging all of the participants. This made the training fun since we all got to participate and practice what we were learning.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I can't think of anything. Having a couple hours each week dedicated to learning and training was something I looked forward to and saw immediate results in my work.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

10 out of 10 would recommend! As an employee who participated in the program, this had a tremendous impact on my work and I always looked forward to each session.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I saw immediate results in my work. The concepts we learned in each session allowed me to close my first Saas deal, better understand customer needs, and exceed my sales quota within the first 2 months of starting a new role.

  ### 45. Great Experience

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Winning by Design helped with a better selling process to navigate through the sales world in any role.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Pre-work, Ace, Agenda, WE format in order to do discovery calls.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The length of the courses was pretty long, 1 hour sessions maybe would have been a little better, but at the end of the day... 8 sessions may have been too much

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Antione was a great instructor in helping convey this course and also being very motivating / engaging.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding a better sales-process to approach situations that we face day to day. Being organized and confident is key.

  ### 46. Deep dive into SaaS Sales Methodology

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian M. | Sales Director, Northeast US and Canada, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Our entire Sales team took a (10?) week training course including some direct coaching and feedback on recorded Sales calls. There was homework, a weekly focus to work on, and full participation across the sales team.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The instructors (Victor and Lindsey) were highly engaged and took the time to learn our business, and tailoring their methodologies to the specifics of our sale.

Their real benefit though is the insight itself. Being pushed to take on new approaches that actually work has already paid dividends for our entire team.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Sometimes it's strangely awkward to be evaluated in front of your peers, but of course getting comfortable being uncomfortable is an important part of learning and growing.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Make sure your leadership is aligned with the overall framework being taught. One thing that has been successful for us is that we use the language, encourage each other, even when not directly involved in training.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a team, we were following a similar framework to the SaaS Method taught, but lacked the context to truly hone the process, understand how each stage, and each question built on the previous one. I would say that many things we "knew" as concepts we were trying to execute weren't being drilled and practiced methodically. Wth buy in and alignment with our sales leadership, we now speak the same language.

  ### 47. A very good training to refocus your entire sales team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I have done the training with Winning by Design with María Abad, it has really helped me a lot to change the way I did research and contacted leads. Something I have implemented almost entirely and that is starting to give me the results I wanted. I highly recommend doing this training in addition to the certification they give you for completing the course. I will definitely repeat!

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Practical examples and extrapolable to our day-to-day life

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

That there have only been 4 sessions, I would have liked to have a few more later to check results, but I understand that this is already my job.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If you have a problem when it comes to getting clients, I recommend that you take the course with María. A great discovery.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the outcome of our cold calls and meetings.
Benefits: we are getting more meetings and more closures, that is more than a benefit, it is everything.

  ### 48. Great Investment!

SaaS Sales Method

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

This program has really helped our team as well as myself individually. This is a robust and tailored approach to guiding potential clients through the customer journey from introduction to onboarding and beyond. Training was thorough and interactive which gave us the chance to really dig into the skills we were learning.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I can't say that there is anything that I particularly disliked about the program however I did notice some struggle during role play sessions in which a student from another company might not have been able to properly participate in the exercise as they did not know what service our company provided and vise vera. Some time before breakout sessions to briefly explain each students company might help resolve this.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Come prepared to engage during class training sessions and read all required material.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From the first day of introducing these skills I noticed a marked improvement in overall communication, goal setting and end result with every customer interaction. This is great investment for teams of any size or level of experience!

  ### 49. Very engaging and informative training experience

Sales Masterclass - honing in on skills from prospecting to close.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The material, candid feedback, and engagement. It had fun exercises to lighten the mood at times as well.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The length of the course - wish it was longer. Also, the amount of roleplays, would like there to be more and challenge the sales person.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Engagement during demos, asking better questions with a purpose. I've realized how to get prospects engaged and start thinking of a solution they see as a nice to have as a must have for their business.

  ### 50. Pleasant, insightful. A new way to approach sales by truly being Customer centric.

I really enjoyed the customer centric approach, it resonates much more with my way of working and seeing business. Also, focusing on empathy and defending win- win trades versus aggressive negotiation pleased me a lot.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Not that I dislike but a suggestion, we could receive some ideas and recommendations on how to practice what we learned after the course, by ourselves or with colleagues to keep the techniques fresh and keep improving.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have more structure on my meeting and I am equipped with techniques that can help me keep the conversation going and the engagement higher with prospects
