Winning by Design helped me to understand SaaS Sales better and gain a more effective structure into my sales approach. The teachers, as well as the whole concept, is very helpful. Thus, the reinforced learning approach with repeating sessions, homework, and role plays for different levels can help every professional to improve their skills and bring them to a new level.

Account Executive Sales Training for SAAS

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Easy to implement strategies. Very interactive class structure.
The instructor was very knowledgeable of the material and excelled at interacting with the group for a productive learning environment.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

A lot of material to go through in a short period of time. It was my choice to take the 2-week class vs the 4-week class.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving closing rates. Better customer engagements.
I now have a framework for our sales process.

  ### 4. Great overall experience

Great instructors (Antoine, Dan) and modern, tech-forward approach

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Enjoyed and found value in the overall experience

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Upskill the team and provide training in modern sales methodologies

  ### 5. Great Account Based Selling and Marketing Approach

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blake M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

We had a project where we needed to develop an account based approach as a part of our sales and marketing go to market efforts. We brought in Shari from Winning by Design to help develop the strategy and the account based "plays" that we could use to reach our target accounts. Shari and the team were fantastic; they helped with a high level strategy and even the implementation of our play in Salesloft. I look forward to working with them again.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I appreciated that the Winning by Design team was quick to provide direct and honest feedback on our existing campaigns. This high level of candor and transparency was essential as they were building the strategy for our account based marketing and selling plays.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing at all; the team at Winning by Design were great.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We helped solve a few problems around our account based marketing and selling approach. Specifically, how to pace out a cadence of communications with a prospect to not only nurture them but help them along their sales journey.

  ### 6. Awesome and Practical

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Refining sales skills/aptitude for my Account Management team

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Victor was an awesome, knowledgeable, and personable instructor. I enjoyed learning from him and the interactive sessions he lead. I was very receptive to the material due to his style.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

My only qualm was one of the in-person sessions being 3-4 hours with only 1 or 2 5 minute breaks. I believe the fatigue was partly due to the session being scheduled at the tail-end of one of our all-day sales meetings.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

They seem to represent the latest and greatest in sales strategy. They reference Pinkman, a credible thought leader in the selling world, in much of their teaching material. A sales course I took at Syracuse University's business school in 2017 did the same, which further conveys that the course material is current and credible. Our instructor was personable and knowledgeable, and engaging, and I'd certainly recommend.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a first time seller in a new role so Winning by Design gave me some great foundations. So far, I've been able to benefit from WBD in the handful of sales engagements I've had, along with plenty of client engagements since the training. The up-front meeting contract approach, impact questions as a concept, and various other effective communication/meeting strategies have equipped me with some great tools to add to my repertoire in leading effective meetings and leveraging active listening (both in governance and monetization scenarios alike).

  ### 7. Up-Level Your Prospecting and Sales!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachelle G. | New Business Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

This was my first opportunity to complete a WbD training and it was great! Miya was our facilitator and she was excellent at connecting the content to our industry. I learned helpful techniques to revise my sales approach and adapt a formula to up-level my prospecting.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

WbD did a great job of allowing virtual group discussions. They simplified the learning to be retainable and applicable.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The only suggestion that I had at the end was to have more time for open dialogue.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WbD gave me a new perspective to approach sales with an educational mindset rather than a closing mindset. I have learned how to create relevant stories of success to share with clients which creates a much more authentic sales experience.

  ### 8. Effective Training Environment to Develop Actionable Skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mia K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Being new to sales, the Saas Sales Methodology course has strengthened my confidence in discovery and demo situations. In my role, discover calls and product demos are often merged, requiring effective planning and time management. Knowing how to optimize a small time frame, ask the right questions, and navigate client needs is key.

After a particular discover call, my instructor, Lindsey Bye, took extra time outside of class session to debrief with me and to guide my success. She's been a great coach to me and the rest of our team, making sure that the lesson is catered to our individual needs as sales professionals. With her help, I'm confident I can get closer to a win with the client I'm working with.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

In-person class w/ Lindsey & course-mates

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The online portion could have more rigor

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Give it a shot--you'll get a good amount out of the trainings and a great deal from the people in the course. I was a little shy at first but felt so comfortable. Many of my colleagues at my company have taken WbD courses and recommended it to me as well.

Also, one of my course-mates in this session has been certified in prestigious sales training in the past but joined our course to brush up his skills. He's learned from our group and has also shared good insights with us as well. Regardless of the level that you're coming in at, you should consider this training. I highly recommend it!

Great staff (Lindsey Bye is amazing), and tangible lessons!

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've needed formal sales training to help push my sales progress along. I was looking for tangible tools that could help propel me in my role, prove myself in my company, and kick off my career in sales. But what I found was also a mighty little community of supporters within my course.

Huge benefit: My instructor and my course-mates rock. There are four of us taking this course which means that our discussions are more personalized and we get more time to practice the material with each other. Everyone has been so supportive and helpful in part because our instructor creates an open and accepting environment. I don't feel embarrassed if I don't nail a role-play scenario on the first try, I feel empowered because my peers are giving me feedback and pointers that have worked for them in their careers. It's a light-hearted and fun group of people like me who are looking to better themselves. Lindsey keeps us motivated and on track. We're all learning from each other which is a true benefit of this course--it's created a little community that I'm very thankful for. :)

  ### 9. Comprehensive, actionable approach to an aligned GTM motion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** steven w. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

assessment, design, execution and enablement of our sales and marketing motions

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Shari was fantastic - super collaborative, very knowledgable on ABM and totally practical in the execution phase. Jacco is a force of nature.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

No dislikes. Willing to work to customise the extensive library of best practices methodologies and make as relevant as possible to the unique situations encountered.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

consistent, repeatable GTM model. Common data language leading to reliable Insights for improvements

  ### 10. Informative, Engaging, Applicable & most importantly, Modern Sales Training.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam B. | Customer Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Prospecting Course
Customer Success Course
SaaS Sales Method

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The content is modern & flexible and can be used in many situations. Our trainers were pretty stellar and I really liked when they were onsite at HQ.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

It can be redundant at times. I thought the materials were a bit excessive at times as well. I don't have insight into the price so ROI is still in question.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Give it a shot in you're in tech/SaaS. Make sure your exec team is on board.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, WBD was a great experience. The trainers are engaging and knowledgeable. They do a great job of understanding your company's value prop will making it Customer-Centric. I think the strategies in the courses are universally applicable to most Tech Companies. The more you put into the program, the more you get out. I have learned how to put customers first while not sacrificing on $$$, tell better stories, and work better as a team. Also, if you get lucky enough to work with Alia or Seth, take advantage of it!

  ### 11. Great training program for anyone in Saas sales!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I went through the four week Winning by Design Sales Mastership training program.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I thought the content in the WBD training was very relevant to my role and helped me set a great foundation for a successful career in tech sales. The virtual training sessions were fun, interactive, and topical. Antoine did a great job keeping us all engaged and challenging us to work towards becoming better salespeople using the WBD methodology!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I can't say there is anything I disliked about the training, but I would've preferred having more people in my training class to add variety to the different role play scenarios and to gather more ideas and perspectives.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Highly recommended to any organization looking to foster the development of its sales reps!

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have increased my ability to have meaningful sales conversations with prospects which has directly translated to more valid opportunities for my sales team. Additionally, I've implemented a few of the time management strategies from the class and have noticed a significant increase to my productivity and a decrease in stress related to feeling behind on my work.

  ### 12. A different type of sales training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine C. | Mid-Enterprise Regional Sales Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I was a participant at a San Fran tech company that hired Winning By Design to come in and train us on the WBD Sales Methodology.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

There was a lot of repetition. A lot of repitition. A lot of repitition. Okay, that may sound scary, but it was really helpful in practice. The training was delivered in a series of modules that built upon on another. You would review what you already learned, and then build on it. Then you would review all that, and built on it more. All the repetitiveness made the information more "sticky".

Chris DeNoia was our training and he was super engaging. He use humor to keep us engaged (I mean, he is no Jimmy Kimmel, but he was funny enough), and made sure he included every single person in the room, by name. He made our time together fun.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

At first the repetition, but I got over that fairly quickly, especially when I realized that the repetition really helped. Any time you step out of your comfort zone, it feels uncomfortable- but that is when the good stuff happens.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Make sure that you have a clear picture of what you are trying to accomplish, and talk to the team at WBD to tailor their methodology around your business and your buyers.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company did not have the resources to have in-house trainers. WBD came in and applied their methodologies to our business, making it all the more relevant to the participants.

  ### 13. Great course, very informative, interactive and logical approach to Sales

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

As an entry level rep in a SaaS start up this course was offered as part of the new hire training. It was helpful in understanding various aspects of the sales process, how to qualify a potential client, assess their needs, and perform a demonstration of the product in a way that drives impact and value.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Chris DeNoia was an excellent trainer who worked with the class as a whole and individually in some instances. Sessions were conversational and interactive using real scenarios and role play which helped students practice the skills and apply them to their specific roles in their respective companies.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There wasn't much to dislike however, I may suggest taking additional time to allow students to present their company's product to the rest of the class. Having that information during breakout sessions would allow conversations and role play scenarios to lead to more authentic objections for purposes of the exercise. That was probably the biggest challenge with people from different backgrounds practicing skills and overcoming objections.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Read the material before class sessions.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Evaluating and understanding the impact your company's solution could have on your potential client's business and really having a good understanding of the problems it could solve can really help drive the process in a positive direction.

  ### 14. Antoine was a great educator and make the entire experience a fun learning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

improving communication, especially with more sales/demos over zoom and other video platforms

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Kahoot and role playing was the most exciting part. It really drove engagement

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Having this training over zoom. Never easy but still very effective

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I think it is a great sales training course and it can be very effective to have multiple people in your organization attend this course together. Worth the time and resources. I also love how the training involves practicing and reviewing outside the actual "class time", which helps you practice the skills.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better communication, quicker discovery calls.

  ### 15. Great experience with WbD

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer D. | Sales Manager, West, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Leadership brought in Winning by Design to Hired in order to help front-line sellers become more effective in their sales processes.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I really enjoyed the learning structure that WbD operated within. Homework came first, so that you could come to each session prepared to ask questions and engage with the content we were covering in a particular week. This proved to be effective as the trainers (like Dan or Jerimiah) would cover the content in greater detail and we all had context to what they were training us on that week. There were moments that admittedly felt repetitive, but it's that repetition that helped front-line sellers retain the information and really put it to use. Overall, great way to learn effective principles overall that any seller could take with them wherever they go.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I would have liked to see more recognition of other sales processes that folks in the room are familiar with. For example, there are principles from Sandler, Challenger, etc. naturally built within the WbD framework (ie. ACE vs. Upfront Social Contract, RRR vs. BASHO, etc.) and I believe it would have been helpful for me if those were brought up contextually, since most of the room was already familiar with other methodologies. Not a huge deal, but it would have helped me!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If you need help with process and training, it's worth the investment.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major problem we were solving was process, in its entirety. Prior to WbD, there was a very loose structure that reps would follow but it was very inconsistent. Going though this training has definitely helped level-set all of the reps, set expectations on what is expected in each call, and helps leaders manage to those expectations. Benefits - PROCESS IS QUEEN.

  ### 16. Clear, Informative, Perfect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian G. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Customer Success Academy - how to take care of our customers, how to excel at our roles as Customer Success Managers, and how to create a foundation for a framework that last in the years to come.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan's teaching style. He has examples to make this course super relatable - he checked for understanding perfectly - and really helped out adopt his teaching. I've never seen anything like it.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I really wish we could have had him in-person - but you know: Global Pandemic. Even it being remote it was PERFECT!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Want to elevate your team and customers experience - Do it! You'll see why.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to ensure that customers now and future will be marked by the intentionality of our company. We have WBD to thank for that.

  ### 17. I learned a lot from these guys

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan M. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

They helped our inbound sales team who had only ever sold to individuals and very small businesses move upmarket and learn how to conduct outbound sales.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The trainer, Jeremiah did a great job of holding my attention throughout the training, which is something I can't say for most sales trainings I've been to. They also gave me a structured repeatable process for handling my initial discovery calls which is something I had no experience with in the past.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Not sure if it was because our mgmt team didn't ask for it or what but we didn't learn much about how to outbound and how to actually set discovery calls for ourselves. I think that was something that was only covered with the BDRs, and I'm an AE.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Make sure your sales team is committed to truly engaging with and practicing what they're learning. and make sure everyone understands that it is going to involve a few hours a week minimum time commitment.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They helped me solve the problem of not knowing how to conduct a smooth fluid outbound long cycle sales process. Now that I have been trained by them I feel more confident when reaching out to SMB accounts and conducting myself during a multi step sales process that involves multiple stakeholders and decision makers.

  ### 18. My experience with the Winning By Design training program was great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rochener S. | Sales Director - Southeast Region, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

During the program I learned a lot of actionable skills that I was able to quickly implement into my sales profession! My class consisted of 4 live sessions, along with video training and downloadable content. This made it easy to digest and refer to when needed in the future!

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I learned the importance of utilizing story telling during a sales pitch or call. Along with how to ACE a sales call! My trainer Antoine Mandy was very informative and really took time to ensure that I understood the content and how to implement it.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The training program was great, I found everything very useful! As a sales person I always look for every opportunity to improve and ad more tools to my belt, and winning by design definitely added value!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Highly recommend to any sales person or sales team!

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am much more effective at organizing a call and story telling. I also find my self taking time to do more research on a client or new account prior to the call to ensure that I am fully prepared. This helps when asking situational questions that lead to open ended questions that will eventually lead to diagnosing the needs of the client!

  ### 19. Fantastic Course & Fantastic Instructors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob C. | Business Development Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Showpad partnered with Winning By Design to take our entire global sales team to the next level and to standardize our best practices and procedures.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Jerimiah Lancaster led our team and I couldn't recommend him enough. His ability to lead our courses and provide assistance and feedback is top-notch. If you're able to emulate his charisma, cadence, enthusiasm, listening skills, and knowledge just by 10%, you're going to end up a helluva better sales-person than you were before.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I have nothing negative to say about Winning By Design.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Best sales training course I've attended and I've worked through a couple of the top 'Sales Strategies.' 100% recommend!

Thanks Jerimiah and the rest of the WBD Team!

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In a few weeks everyone was up-leveled on our abilities to prospect, cold call/email, lead discovery calls, share relevant stories to grab attention and provide value, and how to take the buyer through an easy journey to purchase our product. Additionally, we were up-leveled in our ability to manage our time, actively listen, and handle rejections.

  ### 20. Great course!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2021

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

The ability to drive value to the consumer, not just to sell

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The interactive and practical environment

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The length of the program was too short.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Driving value

  ### 21. Strategic Support & Business Development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary A. | CEO | Board Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Growth initiative to regain lost or dormant clients supported by data analysis insights and deconstructing the BD approach with enhanced value from the “clients view”. By digging deep into data and creating linkage and key finding whereby we could together identify target markets/clients with potential for conversion to active users, we developed a robust exchange and strategic approach.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The ability to immerse themselves into our environment and understand how the team works and what systemic challenges and opportunities we have to adapt our business for growth supported by and aligned with key stakeholders of our firm. Relationships have developed beyond client & service provider with trust and candor in equal exchanges.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

At times we all take on a “bullish” view for the art of the possible - we could have looked deeper into resizing and estimating some aspects of conversion rates and growth exploring further and reliance of market headwinds taken into consideration. ...outlier impact

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

The team engages at a tactical and strategic level across the business to engage members of our firm and better understand the end to end process which was very useful and insightful - using subject matter experts as net promoters to evangelize the required mindset shift....while we are still not fully complete in our journey to understand how the results will look....we expect growth at an organic level in the coming months. I would encourage letting WbD explore your business and team at all levels to identify and create a gap analysis required to support the findings.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Foundational BD groundwork from end to end....building a target market, shifting sales approach with consistency and continuity establishing metrics and benchmarks - supported by ground level sales training. Absent a sakes training and “coach” to implement playbooks the support of WbD has enabled us to create velocity without a long recruiting process to onboard subject matter experts in sales activation.

**Official Response from Sari Green:**

> Gary, thanks so much for your candid thoughts. It's been a pleasure working with your team on this transformational effort. All the best from Ken and all of us at WbD!

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

WBD has helped me so much with looking at things differently. Miya is so easy to talk to and open to feedback. She has provided so much wonderful content and is very relatable.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

How they make is specific for our industry and how we actual handle conversations. Miya has made me feel very comfortable sharing my insights and open to feedback.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Sometimes I felt like it was more focused on new people in sales. I would like more content for advanced sellers.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to get through on cold calls and providing value or WIIFM. That I need to change up how I cold call and some of the questions that I ask along the way.

  ### 23. Amazing experience, totally recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego R. | Gerente de canales de venta L2, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Helped with my current role and my professional development. They helped me to learn new knowledge about coaching and use this in my work.

I’m a channel account manager and this course gave me another perspective on my role.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The useful takeaways, Miya helped us to start thinking out of the box and have a methodology to be a remarkable coach. I enjoyed the activities, the methodology, the interaction with Miya and my peers.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Anything really, it was such a powerful experience, maybe in the future I would like certification in Spanish, which is my native language.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

It's an excellent option to learn new things; they have a lot of courses in different areas. So you have the opportunity to obtain a certification that really helps you.

Miya was my coach, and she was very helpful and kind throughout the process.

I'm sure I'm going to pursue another certification soon.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This certification helped me to have a real methodology to become a leader and coach, not just doing it out of passion, but also having a strategic way to develop my team.

I had some troubles helping my partners develop certain skills, but with this certification, I started a journey with them that actually helped.

  ### 24. Our team really enjoyed the WbD training experience!

We met with Winning By Design for weeks to recalibrate and reengage with our team about sales fundamentals. I personally learned new elements of sales and was reminded of other facets that I had become dull towards. Overall, great experience!

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Antoine was a great leader and really engaged with our team well.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The experience was great and there is not any specific criticism.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gets our team all on the same page of our sales philosophy and tactics!

  ### 25. Hands down the best sales training I have ever experienced!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin M. | Sr. Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Winning by Design helped train our team on modern day SAAS sales techniques to help drive faster close cycles.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

By far our trainer Miya. She was amazing! I've participated in many sales trainings throughout my career and would often feel like the instructor was talking at you with very little interaction with the audience. Not with Miya. She really understood our team and crafted her training style to keep us engaged throughout the course. We always had to make sure to stay ready for her to call on us to "recall" a lesson learned in a prior session, would have us break out in teams often and always made us feel like we were a part of the learning experience. She made our training sessions fun and I always walked away from our sessions learning something new.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Honestly, can't think of anything I didn't like.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I'd highly recommend Winning by Design to any SAAS organization looking to increase their team's sales skills.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are always looking to shorten the sales cycle with our prospective customers. Winning by Design has helped with that problem in a big way. Also, I've been at Sense for 5 months now and they were a big help in giving me the tools to ramp up much faster!

  ### 26. Clear and specific roadmap within our sales organisations thanks to the help of Winning by Design.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jens M. | Independent Business Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

At Teamleader, we worked together with Winning by Design during the first months of 2020. The goal was to improve our sales efficiency as well as train us some tactics to convert other lead types than our 'trial leads'. We worked together with Harold and Andy and I must say, they delivered a profound analysis of our complete sales organisation with loads of recommendations on how to improve our way of working. This gave me as Sales Ops a nice backbone to further improve our processes. The tactical training was given in a very professional and engaging way. Thanks a lot!.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

- Specialised in SaaS
- They seek to understand first. Asking for a lot of info and data, challenge processes to be sure to fully understand how we are working
- They delivered detailed and relevant recommendations
- Energy during training
- Andy's Australian accent ;-)

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Room for improvement in getting the scope clear. Although, responsibility for this was both WbD and ours.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are getting successful in converting different types of 'colder' leads. Which results in more growth and lower CAC.

  ### 27. WbD - Very valuable experience!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

WbD provided very valuable tips, tools, and concepts in order to help build my sales arsenal, as well as my colleagues that participated. WbD has made me reconsider the way that I approach my prospects/ customers in regards to phone calls and emails, as well as help me become a better salesman. Antoine was awesome.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Winning by Design is helpful in regards to the way it is structured - homework is done before class and then once on the call, the information is repeated with live role playing activities. Practice makes perfect.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Not much - the only thing is that WbD was scheduled at the end of our workday. Other than that, nothing!

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving/correcting a lot of bad habits that I have that I did not even realize. This course had made me realize the importance of tone and all the aspects attributed to it. I have worked on silence and letting my customer speak instead of using filler words (which can disrupt the natural flow of the conversation). This course has also allowed me to ask better questions and have a better game plan going into scheduled/ unscheduled calls.

  ### 28. Customer Success Effectiveness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

The Winning By Design has provided a framework and structure to be an effective leader in Customer Success Business. Our trainer, Alia, provided a hands-on road map on how to use customer success theory to guide our customers to the finish line. As a new learner to this business, the program helped me navigate challenging conversations, how to lead effective meetings to maximize the time with our client, and real-time feedback on how we applied the tools. I love how the program and Alia created a safe and inclusive environment for learning. I recommend this program for anyone wanting to better enhance their CS skillset with a guided framework. Definitely worth the investment!

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I really like the model/framework for CS. As someone who is very process-oriented, having a step by step outline to guide client meetings has been incredibly helpful. This included the DDD framework, ACE, etc,

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

As a lifelong learner, I did not dislike anything about the program. I wish it was a bit longer!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I think the program is fantastic. This is the company you NEED to go with when learning Customer Success and a framework to get results.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving how to stay guided to the goal of the business and client, how to stay on track with the meeting mission and objectives, and building a better understanding of the CS Business. I am new to this area.

  ### 29. Well worth the investment to win more deals.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

WBD executed a full training with our company's sales team over the course of a few months. Our Trainer, Miya Dias, was an exceptional instructor. She brought real warmth and positive energy to all of our conversations. Through the use of what we learned, we were able to have better conversations with our prospects and be viewed as trusted partners. WBD allowed us to dig deeper and ask better questions, while still remaining conversational and personable. The effectiveness of the sales style WBD teaches cannot be overstated. You will be able to drive revenue and accelerate the sales cycle if you utilize the methods taught through WBD. Miya did an amazing job of not only conveying the WBD methods, but also in getting to know our team. She took the time to learn our industry and our individual styles, so her instruction was personalized. Every conversation we had with her was just that, a conversation. We used real-world examples to make the teachings relevant and repeatable. I highly recommend you take advantage of all the WBD has to offer. Your team and organization will be better for it.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I greatly appreciate the way Miya instructed us and used our situational examples to teach repeatable methods. The knowledge gained has helped us increase revenue and accelerate the sales cycle. I am also just having better conversations with prospects and customers, allowing me to remove doubts before they become roadblocks.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Would like to have some reference documents that I could keep on my desk. Just as refreshers in case I need get back on track during a call.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Sign up and you won't regret it!

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increased revenue and accelerating the sales cycle.

  ### 30. Great guidance on our company's new ABM focus and my new role

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brianna H. | Director of Account Based Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I was part of the Account Based Marketing training that Shari with Winning by Design facilitated. Our company had always seen value and results from a more targeted approach when it came to our target prospects and clients, and this WbD training in particular really helped us refine our approach and roll out a more formal program for the company. This was a project I was taking the lead on so it was hyper relevant to my new role and getting buy-in from the greater team on the purpose and tactics behind our new strategy. Once the initial training was complete, Shari helped us identify and select our Key Accounts, and then helped me as I executed on the rollout of our new program and gave great feedback and guidance as I started actually hitting the ground running.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I liked that the WbD training was structured in a way to encourage participation from everyone on the marketing team, and we knew going into the training it was important to listen attentively, participate, and actually understand the material. The "homework" after each training was helpful to make sure we understood the material and the cadence of the sessions worked well with our regularly scheduled work week.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I do wish that a couple of the ABM sessions felt like they were more personalized for our team of marketers (sometimes it felt like it was better structured for an SDR audience versus our Marketing team).

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I'd highly recommend WbD to any organization looking to hire a consulting firm that can truly help with both sales/marketing methodology but more importantly tactical best practiced for the day-to-day that drive performance (in a very hands-on, coaching format). The team worked closely with executive leadership, managers as well as ICs and even though I only experienced a piece of the training so only have the perspective of a marketer, I know the sales team found their partnership invaluable.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WbD solved our problem of needing to be more personalized/targeted, and aligning sales and marketing completely around our new ABM approach. We've already seen a huge spike in engagement with our Key Accounts in the first few weeks since the rollout of the new program and I've been busy as ever keeping up with my new role (which has been great).

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quality time and structured meetings to get reps to be their best selves

  ### 32. The most practical training ever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomo A. | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Winning by design helped our team to understand new sales and communication frameworks. I participated in seven courses of training, and I realized I was able to apply the technique right after each session.
Dan's session was extremely interactive, so I could not only learning but also making it relevant during the session.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

At Dan's sessions, we were constantly required to address our actual customers. This helped change our mindset flexible, not simply learning the framework.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I can't think of anything. It was a virtual session connecting three countries, so often early morning in my area, but still, too valuable to skip.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I highly recommend to any organization. I am sure your sales team will improve the skills right after the session.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improved the structures of every meeting.

  ### 33. Winning by Design is the premier SaaS sales/operational training program. You won't find one better.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert W. | Enterprise Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

We worked with Winning by Design to implement a new selling methodology for our SaaS Sales team. They were great to work with, and Miya was a fantastic trainer. She was patient in her approach, helped facilitate the learning in a really positive and productive way. She had a very personable way of introducing new and renewed concepts and teaching application, not just theory.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Winning by design gave structure to the process of selling SaaS products and helped establish a system for being more successful for the team. It establishes frameworks and blueprints for easy reference back to the core principles, while still allowing the individual salesperson their own personality.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There isn' much to dislike about Winning by Design. The system works if you'll apply it.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Quit looking at it and sign the paperwork. Your team will be better for it. Continuing to review the principles of Winning by Design and adapting their language to your business is key to success. Facilitating group discussion and practice sessions help too.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previous to Winning by Design our sales team lacked a common language and formality to our approach to selling our SaaS solution. This allowed us all to get on the same page, communicate effectively with customers and provide a unifying approach that has already lead to a higher conversion rate.

  ### 34. The experience with Winning by Design has been excellent.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Winning by Design has been working with our New Business team and Customer Account Management team. Providing strategies, guidelines, and templates for interacting with customers to achieve the best results for all parties.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I like how engaging the sessions are. Everyone is expected to be present for each call and actively participate.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The only thing I disliked was how long some of the initial testing sessions were.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Understand that this is likely a fundamental change in your sales processes and it will take time to adjust. But if you commit to the program you will see results.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Winning by Design is solved problems all around the sales cycle. From prep work, being on calls with customers, and post-call organization/documentation. I have been way more prepared on calls and had more confidence on calls since starting the WInning by Design program.

Nothing. I wish we had done every session in person but all positives from my end.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I loved how personal they made every session for and how we can apply what we learned immediately when facing customers. The WbD always made themselves available for us if we had any questions at all even outside our weekly sessions. The team is incredible to learn from and made each weekly session enjoyable & collaborative.

They made all the training very easy to consume and very relatable to our day-to-day.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I would not say there is much I disliked or anything that I can think of at this point because we have a very supportive team internally to help provide reinforcement around all the training & information that is being delivered.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

With making an investment to WbD be sure to have a reinforcement plan in place to ensure your team's are adopted what WbD is delivering!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christa Y. | Director, Enterprise Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

WbD helped both organize our sales team structure and align and deliver the training needed to make the most of this new structure

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

We loved the personal attention that WbD provided us, the genuine interest in our needs and goals so that they could speak to us in our language. They were transparent in what was possible and gave us straight talk, no consultant speak. Dan and Jacco made an effort to get to know each one of the team members and our team responded accordingly.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There is little if anything to dislike about Winning by Design.

Perhaps one I wonder: our offering and client conversations are quite different then other SAAS companies, I wonder how beneficial it would have been to have a better understanding of this before beginning our Provocative Sales Training?

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I would recommend WbD to any and all who need to get the most of their sales team, considering both structure and the aligned training to those positions.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The sales team structure is aligned to maximize our talent and client needs.
The provocative sales training has given the team new ways to position impact to allow for access to the right decision maker and/or have better conversations.

Additionally, WbD seamlessly connected our work across teams, departments, and verticals during our sessions. It was a holistic learning experience that I will benefit from in my role and career.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

We enrolled AEs in a Winning by Design virtual sales course. I'd not done a virtual sales training before so was a bit skeptical. Victor answered all of my questions in advance of us opting for the training, which was helpful.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The coursework was engaging, fun, and well-organized. It was a good mix of instruction, role play exercises, and offline content. I think the Winning by Design content is strong and recommend it regularly to anyone in SaaS. Also, the software used to administer the training was intuitive and good quality.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

n/a -- if you've done formal sales training previously (Challenger, Sandler, et al), I recommend looking at the options in advance to see what coursework will meld best with your sales methodology and previous experience.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtual sales training for remote SaaS sales team. More cost effective than flying reps to a dedicated location for a sales bootcamp, more tailored to SaaS.

We spent a little too much time on the beginning of the process. I would have preferred to focus on the critical event development, impact and close but I also understand we had a mixed audience.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

I would recommend the class.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The challenge was to understand the sales cycle, shorten it when possible and forecast accordingly. The class was useful in consciously walking through the steps to develop the opportunities.

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Winning by Design trained my leadership and renewal reps teams for 3 years in a row. My team showed a tremendous turnaround with Winning by Design support, not only in incorporating new skills but also improving our performance as a consequence of incorporating best practices learned in their trainings. I absolutely recommend them!

The methodology and the learning journey offered by them is easy to follow and effective

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I liked everything, nothing I disliked. It was for real very useful for my team.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved to train my reps effectively on how to sell to end users effectively in a remote way. Also, train my leaders on how to measure and teach effectively to the renewal reps. With Winning by Design courses, I have realized that selling remotely needs daily practice and useful techniques are vital to make the difference.

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

The entire sales team of my company had sessions with WBD about introduction calls, demonstrations and outbound campaign (cold calls and all the other activities) and the result is very positive.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The way the speakers teach and bring examples based on your own culture and industry.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Sometimes it's hard to follow one standard for so many different cultures (when we talk about global company), but they do the best they can for it.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a clear methodology to follow... If I need some suggestions out of the time, they are also available (I always bring questions to be discussed with the "teachers".

  ### 47. Antoine is world class when it comes to enterprise sales training!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

I usually dread sales training and have experienced a few different formats over my career, but Antoine's sessions were something I genuinely looked forward to each week. There were some valuable takeaways and he did a great job of keeping the class engaged without being pushy or feeling like we were just walking through standard training material.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Extra points for the kahoot quizzes! Lot of fun.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing. Every session was valuable and had some great takeaways.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Had a few great takeaways that I immediately applied to my process like ACE, open ended questions, and finding the impact with my buyers.

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

Dan and the team at WBD guided us through modern sales. Right the way from when we first engage with a prospect, all the way through to how we continue to engage with our customers over the duration of their lifecycle.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan had a room of sales professionals that all operate in different regions, cultures etc and he made the sessions relevant and engaging to everyone

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing! I thoroughly enjoyed all sessions and would not change a thing.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If you are looking for a Sales traiing team that has adapted to the modern world, then look no further.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Selling into Asia, I have learnt and am putting into practice how I need to adapt my sales skills across many different cultures.

  ### 49. Speed and alignment from a validated source

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

As a producer of innovation and change simulations, the market has been inviting us into more complex, multi-stakeholder training initiatives. Our team wasn't originally designed with this type of sale in mind. WbD has helped us quickly evolve our skills and given us language we can align around as we collaborate and welcome others onto our team.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Their transparency, authenticity, generousity, empathy and expertise/experience. Bonus: they didn't take themselves too seriously.

They follow up fast.

They used modern collaborative tools to distribute information and allow learners to engage with the content at their own pace.

They are masterful facilitators, particularly in virtual environments.

They have distilled a 'complex, multi-stakeholder sale' down into component parts and built practical resources around each moment.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing comes to mind at the moment. It was a solid fit for me.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating with greater empathy for the decisions and pressures faced by my clients and their peers/teams.

  ### 50. An amateur practices till they get it right, A professional practices till they can't get it wrong.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin P. | Sales Development Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2020

**Describe the project or task Winning by Design helped with:**

WBD helped me conduct a strong customer success story (portraying the customer is the hero & asking at the end, "does this resonate with you?" "What impact would this have on your business?"), understanding how sales methodologies has evolved over time, having a process that does not sound like a script (ACE, Agenda, & and asking What else can we cover?- this enables you to understand the pain they are feeling & what brought them to you), and based on that answer, one can utilize Situation, Pain, and Impact questions; based on his or her response you can share the value your organization brings & how they solve that pain. This is significant because you get them to realize they have an open wound that needs stitches, not a band aid, and our solution is the stitches. Finally, Dan did a fantastic job of having us practice active listening by mirroring back what someone says to you. I highly recommend WBD to any company looking for super sales methodologies.

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Dan was a pleasure to be around and out of my 16 years of being in school, I have never met someone so engaging; best teacher I have ever had, hands down. Dan was able to explain concepts and methodologies concisely, then we would practice. WBD sales methodology has provided me a benchmark for future success in sales and I am forever grateful. I have a process that is simple to remember and enables me to drive a conversation from the beginning by utilizing WBD methodologies.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Personally, I do not have one thing I did not dislike. I enjoyed every moment and soaked it in like a sponge.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Take as many notes as you can because I still look at my notes from my session with Dan.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By asking "What else can we cover" really helps me understand what pain a customer is feeling. This allows me to know what Situation, Pain and Impact questions to ask; Ultimately, this enables me to relate to the lead I am speaking with and get them to realize they have an open cut that needs stitches, not a band aid, just from talking & we our product/service is the stitches. Talk about Winning By Design!
