"Young but sane platform"

What do you like best about Windows App SDK?

It looks like Microsoft finally listened to what the developers have been asking for years.

We now have the possibility to create apps that have access to API that used to be restricted.

The Universal platform is now for real: computer, tablet and phone are all in the same project and all the code is shared. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windows App SDK?

Not really mature yet (bugs here and there, but it's getting better at every new build). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Windows App SDK solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are now able to do things that we have been able to do on Android many years ago.

I really they will slowly integrate all the great features of the other platforms. Watch the the video series done by Microsoft. This is a good way to build apps to assist in your marketing or sales. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast building for new Apps"

What do you like best about Windows App SDK?

Guide line of component.

A rich documentation for new development.

New Apps are easily building.

What do you dislike about Windows App SDK?

Emulators are slow under the machine with little RAM Memory or CPU old.

There dynamic behaviour of the code which could be made to target series of different platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would have preferred different exes, for different platform rather than same, checking to see if some namespace is available or not is cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is still a platform in evolution, out already have achieved a great level of completeness but there gonna be more good features coming, so don't bother to invested in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Windows App SDK solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed to make a hardware configuration software for PC and a hardware commanding and data visualization app for mobile, which both have the same underlaying logic, this SDK saved us a lot of work and it was easy to achieve what we needed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
