User-friendly and an amazing tool. It’s perfect for people who want to start using a PC, especially if they’re just getting comfortable with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windows 7?

It doesn’t have strong security when it comes to internet vulnerabilities, password management, and the file system. You also need to rely on external software, such as an antivirus or anti-malware tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Stable and Light OS, Ideal for Older Systems"
4/5
What do you like best about Windows 7?

I like Windows 7 for its stable and predictable performance. It's known for being stable and less resources-heavy, which helps when working on an older computer. Fewer background processes mean less lag during basic tasks like typing documents, data entry, or emailing. The initial setup was so easy that I can finish a lot without worrying about any updates. "Classic, Reliable, but Outdated — Not Recommended Today"
1/5
What do you like best about Windows 7?

What I liked best about Windows 7 was its simplicity, stability, and performance. It had a clean, straightforward interface that was easy to navigate without feeling bloated. The OS was lightweight and responsive, especially on older hardware, and it rarely got in the way of what you were trying to do.

It also had great compatibility with software and games at the time, and it gave users more control over settings compared to newer versions. It struck a perfect balance between user-friendliness and power-user features, which made it a favorite for many.

Even though it's outdated now, it was a rock-solid OS in its prime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windows 7?

What I dislike about Windows 7 today is that it's no longer supported — no security updates, no new drivers, and no compatibility with modern apps or hardware. That makes it risky and inconvenient to use, especially if you're online or using newer tech.

Even before support ended, Windows 7 lacked many modern features we now take for granted in Windows 10 or 11, like built-in virtual desktops, better HDR support, improved security features, and native support for newer hardware like NVMe drives or TPM 2.0.

In short, while it was great in its time, it’s now outdated, insecure, and impractical for current-day use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
