For me, Wind River Linux is most helpful because it feels stable and predictable once it’s set up, which is critical in embedded and production environments. I’ve found its focus on long-term support and security updates very reassuring in real deployments. Having vendor-backed tooling and documentation also saves time when issues come up in day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about Wind River Linux is that it can feel heavy and complex to work with, especially in the initial setup. Licensing and cost are also on the higher side compared to community Linux distributions. At times, customization feels slower because you’re tied to vendor tools and processes.
