I mean, it takes some learning. But I was able to use it to connect with people after the event and stay in touch with them and even communicate with people while the event was going on. So it's great. **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** I went to the HELP conference and the organizers had everyone used the app. Plantation Project uses this app regularly. I assume they use this app regularly to build a sense of community at their events. As a first time attendee, the usefulness of the platform was not apparent. There were choices as to what aspects one should concentrate on from exhibits to seminars to connecting with participants. The main speakers gave a broad view of the proceedings. **What do you dislike about Whova?** I think it is helpful to attend this event with a team so that each can cover a different aspect of the event providing a collaborative result. I stayed with the main speakers and missed everything else. I was unsure of where to go next. I am now aware of the potential of the system and its benefits. The platform brings the advantages of networking, visiting exhibits, etc. and simulating an in- person experience virtually. It also has the benefit of creating chat rooms for different discussions which is quite excellent. ### 39. Not only was it easy to use there were plenty of features and guides to help easily implement each of the available amenities through the available and speedy reply of customer support. You can also use the app frequently because it saves information and can be a one-stop hub for not only this one particular conference but also organize and keep them from all conferences you attend utilizing Whova. I do not know who wouldn't want to use the app! It was invigorating and a very fun way to get active with the conference. I recommend all organizations use this for any event. **What do you dislike about Whova?** I did not find anything to be unlikeable about the app. I love Whova! **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** Whova is providing me with the information I need from breakout session events, information about other attendees, information about speakers, pertinent session details, and the ability to take notes. Also, if you invted large numbers of ppl to a "meet up", it created a long list of messages in your list, and it appeared to be impossible to sort the list by most recent, so you had to scroll to find most recent replies, or new messages. **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ability to better engage with conference delegates. That is more of a phone issue. **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** Normally when I have arrived at conferences in the past, we are given the breakout sessions when we arrive. There is not enough time to really think about what sessions would be best. Whova gives me the opportunity to plan ahead and not feel rushed. I do have one suggestion. Have a spot when presenters enter their information specifically for presenter slides. This way they don't forget to put them into the app. I love having the slides to refer to. Also, in large sessions it is easier to look at the slides on the app then on the big screens that never seem to be close enough. ### 47. It was also very simple to ask questions of the presenters and others attending the conference. Networking was the bomb, because with everyone's contact information already at our fingertips we didn't have to pass out 200 business cards! I really got into the points competion this year which made it even more fun than usual. Thanks Whova for being a functional and fun tool for our conference. **What do you dislike about Whova?** I didn't come with "instructions" from the even organizers so you do have to at least have some base-level smartphone skills and be intuitive to where you might need to be or what you might need to do. In this age, you have to be able to figure some stuff out without instructions so I don't see this as a Whova deficiency but instead an intendee need for professional development if this was an issue for them. **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** Less need for asking the "information booth" about where I need to be & when! I was able to stay on schedule, in the right place at the right time as well as being connected to fellow conference-goers with ease with Whova (from an unpaid spokesperson!). ### 48. The polls and other activities on the app were fun. **What do you dislike about Whova?** As a Vendor, it would have been helpful if there were some live one-on-one chat. As a conference participant, it would be nice if there were a way to prioritize alerts. Much of what showed up as alerts wasn't important to me and there were so many that I had a difficult time catching the things that were important, i.e., I missed a group notification of the time for when a conference planning team picture was taking place and ended up missing the opportunity to be included in the group photo. Being able to ask our own questions instead of picking from a list of questions for icebreakers would have been nice. There are only so many times you want to answer what type of animal you'd be or what your ideal job would be. **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** Whova allowed participants to engage with one another differently and helped with mass communication for conference events.
