"The Whova app used for the NE HR Conference was amazing." 5/5 What do you like best about Whova? Everything is in one place. From the hotel accommodations and directions, to the meet-ups, the floor map. This app is very easy to use. It is simplified, yet with many functions. You can send/receive messages, notifications, earn points, and see the leaderboard in real time. You can view the sessions, then add the ones that you want to attend to your agenda. During your session you can take notes right there in the app next to the session. This helps remember who said what and helps remember the materials. Also, you can add photos of the power points, so you are not busy writing the whole time. The notes and photos are emailed to you so you can retain them - no half-used notebooks with info scribbled all over them - that you can never find! The amount of notifications made it difficult to know when a notification was from someone trying to make contact or just an announcement from the app developer or a “canned” message from the event directors. One stop place to receive information about the event you are attending. Having to rely on emails or word of mouth about changes always caused significant confusion. 2.) Ability to contact attendees. Often times you meet someone but forget or lose their contact info. Trying to look them on on social media is difficult; using Whova makes this much easier to do.
