I was a speaker at a recent event and when logging in it opened right to the Speaker Hub which had my session front and center and I could see how many people registered for the session, and click through to see who they were. It housed all the pertinent event information clearly. It had the options I wanted as well - to look at questions from the audience, to easily promote my session, to poll the audience, and message other speakers at the event. All in one screen. **What do you dislike about Whova?** In the Attendees section, the alpha sort menu is right up against the far right side of the screen and it is really hard to choose a letter. That's it! Everything else is excellent. **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was able to promote my session to drive more prospects that I could reach with the content I was sharing. Also, I could easily find people who engaged and share contact information with them so I could follow up later. I like that the info is availbe in the app even after the event is over. **What do you dislike about Whova?** I disliked that whenever I went into specific about an agenda item, it would take me back to the full agena instead of my agenda (if I have that right). I really wish there was a way to bookmark meet ups instead of just adding them to my agenda to track/RSVP and really wish there was a searchabale way to find meet up I saw previously. I spent a lot of time scrolling to find meet ups I remembered I was interested in. Also, would like a way to disable notifications for select meet ups. If I made one comment, I kept getting notifications on meet ups I simply said hi in versus those I really wanted to track. Being able to build out a personalized schedule in advance made it so much easier to plan which sessions to attend. The real-time updates were a huge help too. When sessions ran long or rooms changed, I always knew right away. The reminders kept me on track throughout the day without having to constantly check the app. Overall it made navigating a busy conference schedule much less stressful. **What do you dislike about Whova?** My one frustration with Whova was the notification dots. There were red indicators constantly appearing throughout the app, and as someone who likes to have everything cleared and accounted for, it was hard to ignore them. It felt like I was always chasing down unread items just to get a clean screen. Usually you have to pay a lot of money for this, and while I'm sure the organizer may have had to pay extra, as an end user I really liked this feature. It's easy to show the benefit of the event to my team and to follow-up with important leads. The scanning was easy and the tags/notes were beneficial too. I also like the feature that the organizer could message everyone easily. **What do you dislike about Whova?** The only real downside I noticed was the community boards and some of the chats. I'm not sure what they are, and how to use them best. I'm sure if I use this app again it will be more clear but being a first time user it was a bit overwhelming, and I was not sure how to interact. **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** For me, because I was a vendor/end user, I really appreciated the lead retrieval. Gathering business cards and trying to remember who I spoke to and where they are from is so challenging and this app solved that for me with the QR code lead scanning. You can send/receive messages, notifications, earn points, and see the leaderboard in real time. You can view the sessions, then add the ones that you want to attend to your agenda. During your session you can take notes right there in the app next to the session. This helps remember who said what and helps remember the materials. Also, you can add photos of the power points, so you are not busy writing the whole time. The notes and photos are emailed to you so you can retain them - no half-used notebooks with info scribbled all over them - that you can never find! It is all kept electronically and easy to refer to. There are announcements for location changes. It also integrates with other calendars you may prefer to use. All the attendees are listed, and you can reach out to them to connect, and if you forgot your business cards, you can scan an attendee's QR code. All the networking options you need are there. In each session, there is the ability to take notes that save to the session, keeping you organized, and you can remember who the presenters were. There are also maps attached to the workshop or seminar locations in case your conference is spread out over a large university campus, for example. It's easy to use and figure out, and I used it multiple times per day on my phone and on my iPad, before I left for the conference, and I will use it after the conference to refer to my notes. **What do you dislike about Whova?** The notes piece was slightly finicky on the iPad - keep shutting down while I was typing, but the notes all saved! **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** Planning my agenda at the conference and keeping my organized and helping me network ### 39.
