"Simple way to handle online consultation and Smooth Video meetings"
5/5
What do you like best about Whereby Meetings?

I work as a Dietician And Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content, so I need a simple way to connect with patients and explain things clearly in online sessions. Recently I started using Whereby Meetings and I found it quite effective for my work. Ease of use is very simple, I just share a link and meeting starts, no install needed and even patients can join easily. I use it regularly for online consultation and health education sessions. Screen sharing helps me explain diet charts and reports properly, and recording feature is useful when I want to reuse sessions for content. Chat option also helps during meetings.

Meeting link sharing is quick and saves time. It also works with Google calendar, so scheduling sessions becomes easier. In browser it runs smooth, and desktop app performance is also good in my experience. Number of features is enough for daily work like video calls, screen share, recording and chat, not confusing. Ease of integration is simple with basic tools, and I did not need customer support much. Overall it feels practical and useful for my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whereby Meetings?

customization options are limited, like background or layout control is basic, so if someone wants more control over meeting appearance then it may feel little limited.

also, when internet is not very stable, video quality can drop a bit, but meeting still continues so it does not stop the work. Also, compared to some other tools, advanced features are limited, so for basic daily use it is perfect but for more complex setup it may feel little less. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Compliance Features, Needs Language Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Whereby Meetings?

We’re a Berlin industrial design studio handling tons of proprietary sketches, product renders and copyrighted layout work, so DSGVO compliance was our top priority when picking a meeting tool, and Whereby nails this core requirement. All meeting data sits on EU-hosted servers by default, no messy workarounds needed to move data out of overseas regions. I’m really grateful for the mandatory pop-up consent before anyone hits record—this single feature cut out hours of extra paperwork we used to draft just to stay compliant with Germany’s UrhG copyright law when we walk clients through unreleased designs. Private lockable meeting rooms are another lifesaver; we regularly have third-party suppliers join calls, and being able to block random link visitors keeps unapproved people from viewing confidential project files. Screen sharing runs smooth most of the time for standard design walkthroughs, no choppy frames ruining client presentations. The biggest daily win for our workflow is the browser-only entry—clients, manufacturing partners and freelance designers hate downloading extra desktop apps, and sharing a simple meeting link cuts down on pre-call troubleshooting emails entirely. We create separate permanent rooms for each client project, which keeps call history neatly separated, and quick-access participant permissions let me mute external contacts mid-presentation if they start talking over sensitive design IP. The full meeting audit logs export as usable files every time, which we directly file away to satisfy our yearly DSGVO audit requirements without rebuilding data from scratch. What do you dislike about Whereby Meetings?

The biggest pain point by far is the complete lack of native German interface language and German live captions. Several of our long-term manufacturing clients only speak German and struggle to navigate the fully English menus; they constantly message me mid-call asking what different settings mean, which derails design review flow. On compliance admin, the exported audit logs don’t come pre-formatted to match German official DSGVO and UrhG archiving standards. Every single export file needs manual reformatting, renaming and column restructuring before we can submit it to our compliance auditor, which piles on repetitive weekly admin work. When we share high-detail layered product renders with fine texture and surface finish details over screen share, the image quality noticeably blurs small critical design elements—we often end up sending separate image files after calls just so clients can see details clearly. There’s no native bulk tagging feature tied to our internal project IDs for organizing meeting recordings and logs. Right now we have to manually label every recording post-call, which makes pulling up full project archives months later extremely time-consuming. Whereby doesn’t include pre-built regional compliance templates tailored for German regulations either. Every time we set up a new project room, I have to manually adjust data retention timelines, recording consent rules and room privacy settings one at a time instead of loading a one-click DSGVO/UrhG preset. Connecting our internal design asset library to auto-save meeting recordings also required custom webhook coding from our IT contractor; the native integrations offered out of the box don’t support our DAM stack, so deployment took far longer than expected. "Effortless Networking and Collaboration Tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Whereby Meetings?

I use Whereby Meetings for meet and greets, information sharing, and networking. It's a great tool and app that I love and enjoy. It has helped me get some of my friends to sign up as well. Using Whereby Meetings makes a big difference in person compared to over the phone or social media sites. I really appreciate how it allows me to see people face to face, which is great for gauging interest and belief in the app. It's a nice way to meet people, communicate, and break the ice between everyone. The tools provided are valuable to me, and I value all of them, which gives me a lot of options. The initial setup was really simple and easy for me, not a big deal at all. "Effortless Client Collaboration, Needs More Customization"
4/5
What do you like best about Whereby Meetings?

I really appreciate Whereby Meetings' effortless link-only access that allows all meeting participants to join without needing to install extra software. This is particularly helpful for our Ontario retail and tech clients who can jump into feedback calls immediately using just a URL. Another thing I like is the consistent, glitch-free screen sharing, which is crucial when we're walking clients through high-resolution brand layouts and interactive UX wireframes in real-time. Additionally, the straightforward, minimal dashboard helps avoid unnecessary features and allows our design team to stay focused on discussing creative revisions without navigating complex menus during meetings. One-click link access and stable screen sharing have been game-changers, eliminating technical delays and enhancing client presentations. The streamlined dashboard also makes it easy to set up project meeting rooms quickly, trimming admin time and keeping us on schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whereby Meetings?

While Whereby handles most of our daily video needs smoothly, several functions fall short for an agency-focused workflow. Recorded design feedback calls can’t be trimmed or tagged directly inside the platform, so our team has to export files and edit with separate programs afterward. The basic subscription also restricts custom branded meeting URLs, making invites look generic when we send them to Ontario’s mid-sized corporate customers. Additionally, breakout room functionality is fairly rudimentary—we’re unable to pre-map designers into fixed groups before internal brainstorming, costing extra minutes rearranging participants once meetings start. "Easy Browser-Based Meetings with Clean, Professional Features"
4/5
What do you like best about Whereby Meetings?

What I like best about this platform is how easy it is to start joining video meetings directly from our browser. In fact, there is no need for any downloads. The permanent meeting room link makes it very easy for our recurring clients and team calls to happen very effectively. Their interfaces are clean, simple and professional, with useful features like screen sharing, recording, branding and room customization or a top-notch feature in this platform, I would say. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whereby Meetings?

Therefore, free planning is quite limited, especially with only 4 attendees and a 30-minute meeting limit. For larger meetings, unlimited recording, branding and team features, we need to move to paid plans. This platform is also very clean in regard to user interface, and its design is intuitive and very reliable. Very much effective for simpler meetings, but for advanced scenarios, users may still prefer platforms with deeper enterprise collaboration features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Whereby’s Permanent Rooms Make Budget Meetings Fast and Effortless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Whereby Meetings?

I mainly utilize Whereby Meetings as a collaborative agile space for coordinating budget follow-up meetings with central administration and to review timelines and forecasting adjustments. The permanent room and link simplify the logistical burden of having to create accounts, set up links, etc., and allow all participants to easily enter the meeting. I typically also share my screen to review budget documents and other materials and I hold regular one on ones with our administrative leaders. The ease at which I am able to enter the meeting directly from the browser and share materials has greatly reduced the amount of time spent on coordination. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whereby Meetings?

Overall Whereby performs well, though the success of the experience hinges to a degree on the connection speed of some external participants, such as the international collaborators, as a lag can result in a slow shared document reviews for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Whereby Meetings for quick meeting setups and client calls. I appreciate that it saves a lot of time since anyone can join the meeting without downloading anything. I like how easy and quick it is to set up the meetings, and the interface is clean. I enjoy the convenience of joining any meeting from anywhere, without needing to download the app. Scheduling meetings and sharing links is easy, and it works well across different devices. The video quality is very smooth, which is a big plus. The initial setup was quick and very easy since no specific setup is required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whereby Meetings?

Occasionally the connection quality can depend heavily on internet stability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unbeatable Simplicity for Video Calls"
5/5
What do you like best about Whereby Meetings?

I like using Whereby Meetings as an alternative for people who don't have Teams. It's very quick to set up and doesn't require registration. I've been using it for years and its simplicity is impressive; it simply does what it needs to do well: video calls without complications. I especially value the ease with which I can set up a call in seconds, without having to explain anything to anyone, I just give the link and that's it. I consider it much easier than Teams or Meet. Also, what I use the most is the screen sharing feature. The initial setup is super easy, without complications, and you can use it in a second. I'm a TOP fan of this tool and would recommend it without hesitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whereby Meetings?

Nothing to object: it's the best. Perhaps its appearance is a bit too childish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Setup with Seamless Google Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Whereby Meetings?

I love that Whereby Meetings integrates easily with Google Workspace and that I don't have to worry about getting cut off with limits like with Zoom. I appreciate the quality and the user interface design, which is very nice. I find it very simple to use, and I think innovation is coming within Whereby. The international component and API integration are excellent, and I feel safe with the web integration. It's very easy to set up, taking just two seconds, and it allows me to manage permissions effectively within Google integration. I like that it's straightforward for mobile compatibility, works well for international calls, and doesn't involve a complex setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whereby Meetings?

I wish it had more emoji features, more colorful interfacing, and more interaction. When I do more fun calls, me working in the fashion space, I definitely wanna keep the interaction going. Also, I feel like it could have more unique reactions and different skin tones for hand emojis within the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Whereby: The "No-Installation" Meeting Solution You Actually Need"
4/5
What do you like best about Whereby Meetings?

Zero Friction: The biggest pro is its simplicity. You send a custom link (e.g., whereby.com/your-brand), and your client can join instantly in their browser. No logins, no “waiting for updates,” and no “I can’t install apps on my work laptop” excuses.

Beautiful Minimalism: The interface is clean and aesthetically pleasing. It doesn’t feel like a cluttered spreadsheet; it feels like a modern workspace.

Collaboration Tools: It integrates smoothly with Miro, Trello, and Google Drive, so you can brainstorm or edit docs right inside the video window.

Privacy First: Based in Norway, Whereby follows strict GDPR standards, which makes it feel like a safer bet if you’re worried about data mining. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whereby Meetings?

Whereby used to be very generous, but they recently tightened their belts.

The "30-Minute Wall": Free meetings are now limited to 30 minutes. Compared to Google Meet (60 mins) or even Zoom (40 mins), it feels very short.

Participant Cap: You can only have up to 4 people in a free room. This makes it strictly a tool for 1-on-1s or very tiny teams unless you pay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
