"An important tool for companies running on EOS"
What do you like best about Whale?
Whale is excellent no matter what stage of process documentation a company is in. They make it easy to document processes and even easier for employees to follow them. With the browser extension, you can access all of your business processes no matter where you do your work (email, CRM, ticketing system, etc.)
What do you dislike about Whale?
While the editor is reasonably robust, it does not play well with Microsoft Word. The formatting does not carry over well to or from Whale.
What problems is Whale solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whale is helping get our processes in front of the people who need to be reading them. It's also helping us to delegate process ownership to subject matter experts, ensuring that our processes contain accurate and timely information.
"Whale has it all! The best tool on the market to date."
What do you like best about Whale?
It's no lie when I say that Whale has what it takes to become a dominant player on SOP management tools.
In addition to the clear user interface, Whale tries to provide an answer to the biggest pain points that exist in the world of Process Management.
A certain amount of responsibility is created in setting up your structure so that your processes are reviewed regularly.
The guidance we receive is excellent. Chamil from the support team is quick and with a suitable solution. Stino, our Success Manager, really cares about us and really wants us to succeed with Whale, also I love our little talks about the Real Housewives. go team!
What do you dislike about Whale?
Nothing so far! We're looking for a way to follow up on our feature requests, but they create enough transparency on what the status is.
What problems is Whale solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing is left to die in our processes & they actually get reviewed and shared within the company!
"Highly Flexible KMS for Training, Onboarding and SOP management"
What do you like best about Whale?
Whale provides a comprehensive KMS/LMS for companies to provide a structured solution for training, onboarding, standard operating procedures and designed in a way to easily build out, add content, and assign ownership to SMEs. It provides built in tools, and the Whale team is very open to feedback on how to enhance and improve its product/platform.
What do you dislike about Whale?
i don't see any downsides. i do think having different levels of contributors, and admins would be helpful to manage content creation, users, and admins. today there's only two options.
What problems is Whale solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training, Onboarding, and scaling with SOPs that can be easily searched, tagged, and organized for the entire company to access. It provides a tool for quicker onboarding, training, and scale as incumbents don't have to spend as much time doing training.
"Supercharge your dumb SOPs into Live Workflows"
What do you like best about Whale?
We struggled the most with keeping our SOPs up to date and relevant, with Whale and their chrome extension we found it so much easier to keep in context with each procedure as the team member was completing the task (then if they changes or suggestions for updating) they are just a click away.
Their onboarding workflow is really simple to use as well, once we set it up, we just invite the new user to the group and a date to work in and boom, employee onboarding solved. There is also one other cool feature where we have team members looking for internal documents, Whale has a smart reporting feature to show what is missing so our team can create that next document (I haven't seen this elsewhere).
What do you dislike about Whale?
There are some features within the text editor that can be updated including how the font characters can be selected. But this is nothing to write home about. I would like to see more options around EOS as this is growing in popularity.
Recommendations to others considering Whale:
Give it a try!
What problems is Whale solving and how is that benefiting you?
Employee onboarding and SOP management. Our team members are mostly remote and require specific task based procedures that can constantly change. Giving them the accountability to send through updates while they are still working is key to the power of Whale. Love it!
