"WeVideo: Tough to Beat!"

What do you like best about WeVideo?

I truly appreciate the ease of use that WeVideo offers with it being a web-based application. It is robust enough for those that want to do more with a video editing program, but easy enough for those that want to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WeVideo?

If I had to choose what I like least about WeVideo, it would probably be the cost. I understand everyone needs to make the green, but it would be nice if all options were available for students and educators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WeVideo solving and how is that benefiting you?

I don't know if it is necessarily a problem I am solving with WeVideo for Schools, but my role is to train educators in our local districts on how to use resources like WeVideo to their full potential. The benefit is that not only do teachers become more equipped to use WeVideo proficiently, but more importantly they are able to teach their students to utilize the tool better and therefore have the ability to create and showcase their learning. "WeVideo for the Win"

What do you like best about WeVideo?

WeVideo is a one-stop shop! Before WeVideo, teachers in my building were using Screencastify, Loom, FlipGrid Shorts, Meet as a screen recorder, and more. Once I created a PD modeling the simplicity of WeVideo, teachers were hooked on it! The next step was to provide an asynchronous PD showing some of the additional features offered through WeVideo and how to make videos "WOW"! I am excited to move forward and my goal for the upcoming year is to have teachers work with students on collaborative projects using WeVideo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WeVideo?

The only thing I have had difficulty with is sometimes the maneuvering between templates and new slides, but that is probably a user error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Video editing made easy"

What do you like best about WeVideo?

I like that I can add images, text, and sound to my videos easily. WeVideo makes it easy to trim my video, combine videos, and lower sound if needed. Video editing is now easy, and I do not need to download a program to my computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WeVideo?

I don't particularly appreciate that I can't lower the sound by inputting a number. For WeVideo, I need to drag down the line, and sometimes it can be tricky to get it right; a section to input the desired volume would be more straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WeVideo?

"Simple and Clean Interface, Useful for Distance Learning Video Instruction"

What do you like best about WeVideo?

I like that WeVideo plays nice with Google Drive, and you can export to Twitter, Facebook, or embed on your website. I also like that you can export only audio for podcasting. I have used the program for over 5 years and have seen lots of improvements. It keeps getting better and better. The business is very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WeVideo?

The program is cloud-based, so if your internet is sluggish, your experience may be slow, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering WeVideo:

The WeVideo marketing and sales teams are great. We started out with a pilot program, which helped out early adopters explore and fall in love with the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WeVideo solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have used WeVideo to create distance learning screencasts, videos, podcasts, and GIFs to show teachers how to work programs. Lots of problems solved with one program. I have also used the color-keying for hype videos and newscasts. Students have the same interface as teachers which is great when you want to use it with a class. Digital storytelling is a key topic that is useful in the classroom. Students will respond much easier when they can create video to tell what they have learned about. The program also connects with documents in the Google Drive, so the students can refer to the instructions if they need clarification. Finally, teachers can create projects where they supply the students with clips, and the students use their creativity to tell stories in a different way. "Easy and Fun"

What do you like best about WeVideo?

It will provide a score for students even if some have to be graded by teacher. This can upset a student who sees a score of a 30% for example who really will have a 100% once i grade the fill in the blank. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
