WeVideo is a great tool, it provides you with the ability to create high-quality media including Video & Audio projects. All of this is also ran through the Web. This means it can be used on any device as all the high-end exporting is done in the "cloud". Because you can run WeVideo on any device this makes it perfect in a School Environment, as it allows our students to create video content whilst using low-powered devices such as Chromebooks. It sells itself as being able to used to make podcasts etc, but I would much prefer to use a different product that has more professional tools for audio editing. WeVideo is easy to use- if you've used iMovie, then WeVideo will be very familiar! Staff and students use it for various activities and find it a very valuable resource. WeVideo is always evolving and trying new features! Can't wait to try to REAL-TIME collaborative projects! I'd love to see the ability to edit within a video- blur faces, remove items, etc-- more than just clipping out a segment of a recording. The only drawback is the cost. Many of our challenges around Distance Learning were met using WeVideo. I used it to create video tutorials for staff. Teachers used it to create video lessons and quick how-to videos for students. Student used it to capture their learning in a more authentic manner. Our office staff used it to create a Teacher Appreciation Video from student-submitted photos and videos.
