1. The vocal tones do not vary as much as they should between voices. People of different ethnic groups have different tones. The selection is heavy on Caucasion ethnic tones which tend to be somewhat tinny. Thicker voices are needed. More accents are needed. 2. The voices are realistic and easy to manipulate. The timing and inflection is pretty accurate, and very easy to work with if it is off. I expected the learning curve to be much bigger than it was and I am pleasantly suprised with ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It would be nice to have a video tutorial sent when you first sign up. A demonstration of simple things to make the voice manipulation process easier. The entry level subscription price is a bit on the high side. There is a free version but you cannot download any of the voice tracks you create with a free subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

WellSaid Studios has saved me so much time and money creating voiceovers. They make creating voiceovers easy and very quick without sacrificing quality. I create a new project, select from a wide range of voices, and create the voiceover. Occasionally I run into a word or two that we have to work around, but their phonetic spelling feature takes care of that. Most of the time, I just make a couple of tweaks and have the voiceover I want. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants quality voiceovers that sound real or nearly real. There are a couple of things that WellSaid could do better. Project Organization could be better. As the number of projects goes, it's not as easy to find past projects. Their project search works well though and you can at least order the projects by date or alphabetically. The other area where they could improve is voice inflections. I love how easy it is for my team to create professional sounding voiceovers for eLearning content we create. We are a globally based team and the ease of WellSaid allows us to create consistent training modules from anywhere. Sometimes the voices sound a bit robotic or pronounce things incorrectly. Learning how to spell out words phonetically has helped, but occassionally we'll have to switch a charcter because they just can't get the pronounciation right. I also hope they continue to add more global voices (and potentially a way to render content in multiple voices at once) as we have clients all over the world that we produce content for. The best thing about WellSaid is how easy it is to use. I manage and update over 50 mandatory education courses in Storyline for a medical organization. This year we are upgrading the VO (Voice Over) on many of the courses from computer sounding VO to more realistic voices in WellSaid. I choose a voice, paste the script into a WellSaid, reveiw it, tweak it if necessary, recreate, and save. I repeat this process for each screen. Goes fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only challenge with using WellSaid or any text to speech tool, is I sometimes have to spell a difficult word phonetically in order to get the VO voice to say it correctly. These spelling can be saved to save time the next time the word comes up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've had the pleasure of using WellSaid, and I must say, it's nothing short of remarkable. As a polymath with a penchant for creativity, I'm always on the lookout for tools that enhance the creative process, and WellSaid has exceeded my expectations.

The quality of the voices generated by WellSaid is truly impressive. The voices are natural-sounding, with a pleasing tone and impeccable pronunciation. I have worked with human voice talent before on various projects but working with the WellSaid interface has been a dream. No waiting or long turn around. The tool itself is quite expensive and that premium price tag comes with certain challenges in getting budgetary sign off to subscribe to the tool. Reducing the price would be the greatest consumer benefit as the quality of the tool itself is very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform has been fantastic for our needs. We've used the platform to supplement our traditional voice actors for agile changes to training and marketing materials as well as phone trees in our phone system auto-attendant. Some of the punctuation timing takes trial and error. Thankfully WellSaid respects spaces, commas, and other punctuation very well to fine-tune the timing, it just takes a bit of trial-and-error to get the text sounding like a true human voice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
