## Wellfound Reviews
  ### 1. An intuitive portal that will connect you to jobs at unique startups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quynh V. | Senior Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

I like the fact that it's intuitive and quite easy to navigate around. The UI/UX is incredible and it beats your standard job portals for standard companies out there such as Seek or Indeed.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Sometimes it can be a bit buggy. These are temporary issues though and can be easily fixed by the dev team. It's small things like unable to scroll down the page easily or it gets stuck midway.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traditional job search portals like Seek and Indeed don't cover startups as much because they're convoluted by big companies - so they don't get the chance to shine. This is what Wellfound does - it supports the emerging - or the next "Google".

  ### 2. AngelList review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NEELAM A. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

One of the best online portal to find remote jobs. It really supports and promotes start-ups. I found one of my jobs from AngelList which was a start-up with amazing bunch of people from all around. The multiple filter options gives you to search the best matching and suitable job for you.
Also being a small size organisation it helps you to reach out to skill people and filter the best .

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

I would like it to be more authorised and have a rating bar defined for different organisations . As I once had a bad experience where the interview process took a month time, and I was asked to submit a task testing their real sire- but did not hear back from them at all. On such remote portal this is one downside candidates face.
May be if organisations have reviews posted for them - that others could refer would be helpful

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It benefitted me in landing a job that suited and enhanced my skills. I found Quinncia and worked with them for a year. It was an amazing experience . Also during the job search phase- AngelList was the only online portal I could see being the best option to find online full time permanent job. Other online sites mostly have jobs on contracts basis , but here you find starts ups too with permanent 100% remote jobs. Also ahead we used AngelList to find more colleagues to join us

  ### 3. More curated talent pool for the tech sphere

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Talent Acquisition Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Free job posting as well as integration with our ATS, Greenhouse. This makes reviewing candidates as well as managing their applications extremely easy and streamlined.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

We've seen an uptick in candidates coming in from Wellfound, however, we noticed that it's not always the best quality of fit for candidates and specific roles. Their sourcing function (for the free plan at least) is extremely limited and not customizable at all.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wellfound gives us access to a free job board which is specifically focused on candidates already in or trying to enter the tech sphere. Therefore, it's already a good source of prospective candidates.

  ### 4. Highly Recommended for top Tier candidates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

As a user of Celential.ai, I have found the company incredibly helpful in improving my recruiting processes. The use of data, machine learning, and other technologies allow for unparalleled search results, making it easier for me to find top talent. Additionally, the diversity and expertise of the Celential team in tech recruiting is a huge benefit for me as a client. Overall, the upsides of using Celential.ai include improved recruiting processes and access to top talent in the tech industry. I would highly recommend the company to others in need of recruiting assistance.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

I have found the company incredibly helpful in improving my recruiting processes and finding top tier candidates. No real negative aspects that I can recall in their service.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The use of data, machine learning, and other technologies allows for unparalleled search results, making it easier for me to find top talent. Additionally, the diversity and expertise of the Celential team in tech recruiting is a huge benefit for me as a client

  ### 5. Celential.ai: Your go-to passive candidate sourcing team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suzy T. | Sr. Program Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

The speed and quality of candidates, especially knowing that they are passive candidates. I was impressed by that! Also I feel the Celential team tried hard to understand where they could improve which was a very nice touch (thank you team!). I also like the messaging sequences, where candidates that did not pass the hiring manager's approval seem to be "let down" in a way that does not make for a bad candidate experience.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

No disappointing or missing items. Celential offers more than we could have taken advantage of e.g. customized emails from hiring managers (Celential had to come up with a workaround which was also much appreciated); the fact that we didn't integrate with our ATS was also a missed opportunity on our part. Don't see any areas to improve at this stage.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the tedious process of scouring for candidates, sending them messages, and responding in a timely manner.

  ### 6. Great Talent and Great Partner!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalya R. | Sr. Talent Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

The Celential and Marki have been fantastic partner from day one! Thanks to Marki/Celential, we have hired an incredible talent. We are very thankful to Marki for an exceptional partnership!

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Happy with everything! I am pleased with everything and do not have any suggestions

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to hire an exceptional talent that otherwise would not be easily engaged! We are very happy with the technology and Marki's exceptional support and partnership!

  ### 7. Good for students and part-time professionals to get the job

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishit C. | software developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

1. Its a really good platform for students and part-time professionals to get the job
2. Angel also helps you get funded and contacts investors
3. Assessment of different profiles like frontend, and backend helps a lot

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

1. Slow response from recruitment side and something after shortlisting no action are taken.
2. Number of jobs other than tech is really less, its primarily focused on tech jobs

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Recruitment for students, freelancers, and part-time jobs
2. Access to remote jobs helps professionals and students
3. Transparency b/w recruiter and recruitee, as they will be directly talking to each other

  ### 8. Reviewing for 2 units

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

It's like an automated system, I reach out to Marki, inform her of the requirement and the funnel starts to get filled.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

It takes a minimum of 2 weeks from the initial reach out to receive candidates, which at times can be a long wait and then similarly when you do a calibration it again needs some time for that calibration affect to be seen in terms of candidates submitted

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Celential is filing the top of the funnel, which is sometimes not easy for some roles, and we are benefiting by seeing some quality profiles there, although at times, the profile is a bit late as we have already reached the end stage for a role.

  ### 9. Precision targeting to quickly locate the best candidates!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Celential.ai saves SO much time. The candidate profiles provided are rock solid and help quickly jumpstart the hiring process. There is no other solution as innovative on the market.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Sometimes there are too many qualified candidates. Often, the only way to filter can be through a live screening call. It would be great to have additional filtering criteria available on the front end.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recruiting passive talent for competitive roles.

  ### 10. Great for startup positions but lacks on entry level positions

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chandra H. | Insurance Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

AngelList is one of the most comprehensive job sites I've seen because it contains so many posts for startup company positions and not only the volume of positions but also the fact that you take a detailed questionnaire to tailor searches and alerts to your specific career desires.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

AngelList seemed to have a lot of entry level jobs that required a lot of past experience for job seekers in a given field. Entry level but requiring a lot of experience seems like an oxymoron to job seekers. I'm a newbie UX design graduate so perhaps the site could encourage companies to list skills required but not necessarily hard experience limits. It makes many candidates feel too intimidated to apply.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AngelList is helping me in my job search for an entry level UX design/research remote role after recently graduating from Springboard. I definitely don't see as many entry level design roles as I would like to but perhaps I am also not as active on the site as I should be checking everyday. I've benefitted from being exposed to many companies that I didn't know about and referring them to friends as well as increase my odds of getting a job offer the more jobs I have to apply to as I use multiple sites.

  ### 11. Good platform for tech jobs and especially in startups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nishit c. | Co-Founder and CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

1. Excellent place for tech jobs around the world
2. Jobs are especially oriented towards startups
3. Direct chat to recruiter help in quick response time and clarity

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

1. Big corporate jobs are not present
2. Mostly around tech jobs, other non-tech jobs are not present.
3. Recruiters are sometimes really slow in giving responses.
4. Jobs that are not active or few months old are also present.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Helping tech professionals find a decent job in startups
2. Help students get paid internship in good companies
3. Assessment/Test help them get rated and shown to recruiter more

  ### 12. Highly Recommend for Hyper Growth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Celential has been a great partner over the last year. We have had aggressive hiring goals for our tech org, and having quality candidates coming in at volume has been extremely helpful. Our CSM, Marki, has been great at iterating searches based on team feedback.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

There is nothing that I dislike about using celential

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building solid pipelines for critical hires in engineering

  ### 13. AngelList Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Technical Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

AngelList is one of the best job boards I have ever used. It has the best UI and is easy to understand.
Angelist offers unlimited free and paid job postings. It helped me a lot to get the number of job applications for the open positions which we have.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

There are a few minor problems that I have seen while I'm using AngelList. It is only helpful for startups, whether for hirings or jobs, and it does not have a feature to set up calls.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I said, it has job posting features. We have received inbound applications from active job seekers. which helped my company hire the best talent, and it has inbuilt ATS.

  ### 14. A great search tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savio T. | Sr support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Easy to use, no-frills, yet a very detailed drill-down of all the details while performing tasks.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

The number of filters and sorting options is limited. This refers to not only in the case of the simple search. This is about the advanced search options of the search criteria.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AngelList is an excellent tool to generate leads when looking for a fit given various criteria. It allows the user to look up most of the details without going to a third party website.

  ### 15. Pretty straightforward ad clear website for getting jobs especially in good startups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

1. The filters to get a listing of matching job descriptions via skills
2. Creating different tabs for different types of jobs.
3. If the resume is shortlisted, the communication between HR and the applicant is best and useful.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

In filters, there should be a filter to add a minimum number of experiences as it can also help.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help me to contact and apply for well-funded and good startups easily.

  ### 16. Works well enough

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Easy to visualize what's going on within the portal

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Haven't been able to source someone yet through this site

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing so much information about candidates and being able to search is great

  ### 17. Good platform for recruitment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Intuitive UI and ease of use.
Can easily verify candidates and tracking is made easy via a kanban board.
Job postings made have a good outreach.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Does not have a feature to set up calls.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shortlisting of candidates.
Recruiting new resources for different teams.

  ### 18. Stay Away, Not a Safe Site

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex B. | Full Stack Software Development Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

It's a pretty website, modern interface.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

The site is rife with scammers, hackers, and phishing attempts. There's no real way to verify if the person is reaching out to you is real. It's basically a play ground for scammers and free for all for any bad actors trying to gain access to your personal information.

Angel's list response to my incident's began with "The54th" so I think that tells you all you need to know.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. The benefits I've gained are a poor user experience, poorer treatment from Angel List, and a site that I can no longer trust.

  ### 19. Sourcing made easy and affordable!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jameel A. | Staff Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

* Celential spent time with us to tweak our roles and messaging
* Celential qualifies all candidates before placing them in our pipeline
* Celential manages the initial reach out and communication

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

* Lack of scheduling features
* On one occasion, we had issues with our emails being rejected

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a startup, sourcing engineering talent with the right skills can be very difficult, time-consuming, and expensive. Celential saved us considerable time, effort, and money by reaching out to candidates with the right skills and qualifying their interest and eligibility before we even spoke with them!

  ### 20. Excellent partner for hiring software engineers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Amazing quality of engineering talent we could not source elsewhere.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Great service, the team was super responsive and on the ball.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding React Native developers and filling CTO level position.

  ### 21. It WorksI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron S. | Technical Recruiting Sourcer, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

I like that on any given Tuesday and Thursday I can build my active pipeline with top tier active candidates.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

I wish the platform had some more detailed filters I could use. Like searching for specific colleges and companies.

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

Use the client service managers and make sure to lean on them for how to use the product better and to help you close candidates. They are incredibly responsive, transparent, and helpful.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Build active pipeline, especially with more niche roles. We have made a number of hires with Alist in the last year, which is all we could ask for

  ### 22. AI driven recruiting that works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yu F. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

* strong pipeline of quality candidates
* excellent support and fast response
* flexible engagement models

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

I do not have any complaint or reservation about Celential.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

* build a strong pipeline of quality candidates
* engage candidates in effective and efficient ways

  ### 23. Strong, passive candidates with a responsive support team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Celential’s talent graph has access to strong, passive candidates. Their team is responsive, understands our needs, and consistently delivers a solid candidate pipeline.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

It’d be great if there was a UI where clients could view reports and candidate information.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Celential has helped us save time at the top of our funnel sourcing efforts. The AI / ML product is impressive and takes care of sourcing and crafting customized emails.

  ### 24. Great signal to noise ratio

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alec Z. | Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

A-List offers the right set of selection filters for the problem domain, and has found a way to encourage users to actually fill in those fields so we're not just filtering on garbage. This helps to quickly narrow down to the set of relevant candidates. The chat is pretty good and lightweight candidate management is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

The "years of experience" filter is not very useful... it counts years of experience in *anything*, not (for example) in Software Engineering. So the guy who spent 4 years as a customer service rep and then learned software engineering has "7 years of experience", which isn't helpful if I'm looking for an experienced engineer.

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

It's expensive but cheaper than a recruiter and probably worth it!

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're hiring an engineering manager and a senior engineer. A-List gives us a pre-screened flow of good candidates that we can filter quickly to find the ones we want. We've been connected with some high-quality candidates - orders of magnitude better than a LinkedIn job posting for example.

  ### 25. Startup community hub / Talent networking infrastructure with automation + AI built in!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily Y. | Head of Talent, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

AList (& AngelList)'s ability to synchronize with GreenHouse. The ability to plug into harvest APIs means automation can do the heavy lifting and we can focus on finding top-notch talent who are interested in our mission -- and also want to work at a startup!

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Right now I'm seeing a trend of much larger companies (that might still be private) taking over on sourcing on the platform, and have seen a quality skew in candidates for larger, more established teams. I wish there was an easier way to filter for folks with near-term experience on smaller teams. Right now there's a way to see candidate's ideal jobs but I think career trends for folks are important. Not sure how easy that would be to build into the product though! Data scraping from crunchbase might assist!

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

Make sure you optimize your search queries, and pattern-match based on prior candidates who do well with your interviewing process. You can also lean on the AList team to get advice for what top-notch candidates are looking for in future employers as very often their best folks get multiple offers and will turn to the AList team for advice on which one to accept. :)

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

High volume for very junior folks. I always imagined AList would be more senior engineers who have been battle-tested and built out infrastructure before but oftentimes these folks only have 2-3yrs and were on large teams (versus startup-focused, smaller teams, more experience).

  ### 26. Best site for startups (hiring, listing jobs, investing, messaging)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

AngelList offers a unique candidate pool unlike any other job site - candidates are high-quality, experienced with startups, and easier to gauge activity level/passiveness

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Sometimes the candidate pool reaches a dead end, but new profiles are added/updated daily so requires a (short) waiting game

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AngelList has one of the best candidate search/filtering tools of any candidate search. It's all in-house and integrates with most solutions

  ### 27. Great source for top talents

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nima T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

We are finding fresh candidates on A-List that are not found elsewhere. It's easy to set up search criteria for various open positions. Also, everyone on the team can participate in conversations with candidates. It makes it easier to manage the candidates' interview experience.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Its pricing structure is more suitable for later-stage companies that have a large hiring budget.
Some features are buggy on their platform. 1 year in I'm still not able to connect my Office 365 calendar to their scheduling tool.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's tough to find top talents in the tech industry. It's easier to navigate through available talents on the market using A-list filters

  ### 28. strong candidate resource with good active talent who is ready to move

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew O. | Head of Talent Acquisition, Staffing and Recruiting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Easy integration with Greenhouse ATS
easy to set up automation
Active candidates
I like the UI/UX experience to "review" candidates profiles
The platform is pretty well known amongst candidates so "talent pool" is good
Sales, Engineers and other skill sets are represented pretty well in terms of number of quality of candidates

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

I do not find anything really troublesome or challenging about the platform. There are a lot of recruiters on here so you need to be ready to move fast on the platform. This is no different than other platforms. I do feel as though roles that I have closed remain on the site for a period of time. I have not had the time to really look at it to make sure this is the case. I do know that candidates are

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

Use it. It is effective and easy.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increase exposure to candidates in Sales and Engineering skill sets
find active talent
find talent who is interested in high growth environments (start up)

  ### 29. Grateful for our A-List experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suzy R. | Co-Founder, President & Chief Strategy Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

The online experience of browsing, matching & conversing with candidates is easy and convenient. Working with an account manager like Shane who also sends over links to certain candidates on a weekly basis is very helpful. During A-List's LA beta, we matched with and hired two teammates on A-List including our CTO.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Better tools for teams to browse, search, save and view together would be helpful.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are looking to meet and hire strong technical candidates who we absolutely need at our growing startup, but aren't from our personal networks. Over a six month duration on A-List, we hired a Senior Engineer as well as our CTO.

  ### 30. Helping Startups meet Investors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parminder S. | Business Development Executive, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

The thing I like the most about Angel List is that, we can apply privately to startup jobs with one application. Along with that, we can also see startup database like their type and stage(seed,A,B,C and acquired).

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

The thing I dislike about Angel List is that, when we send a lot of messages and connection request, then they suspend your account or disable your ability to send a message or a connection request. The other thing is that, we cannot send more than 3 messages to our connections till they reply.

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

I recommend everyone to use Angel List to meet investors and get startup jobs.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Angel List is solving problem of investing in startups. You can simply register yourself and then you can start investing.

  ### 31. Simple and effective

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

A-List takes on a ton of the hassle around hiring. They review candidates ahead of time and send over a shortlist that saves the majority of wasted time.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

There's definitely still a lot of filtering to be done on the companies behalf but that's to be expected

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

Stay actively involved in the process, don't expect them to know exactly what you're looking for.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time spent searching for candidates, time spent communicating with candidates and cost of hiring elsewhere.

  ### 32. Best service out there.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

I like the personal care that our A-list manager (Laura) has for MakeSpace. She is always on point with follow up, better than agencies we work with. She has been integral to our team and we couldn't have built out the engineering organization without their help.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

The only thing I dislike is the lack of access to salary information after reaching out.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None.

  ### 33. I like the interface, but some times the quality of candidates is low

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

A-List will help you source saving you time. I also really like the interface compared to other platforms like Vettery.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

The auto sourcing often reaches out to candidates who are not qualified.

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

It would be great if the auto sourcing could be more targeted to what we are actually looking for. A better breakdown of sourcing criteria would help this and individual sourcing.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem we are trying to solve with A-List is filling roles. One of the biggest benefits besides just having another channel to build pipeline is most people on A-List are interested in smaller companies.

  ### 34. Excellent place to know all about startups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gattikoppula p. | Managing Director, Consumer Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Excellent and Handy to search for jobs in startups, in fact, got my first job through angellist.
Easy to Search and Connect with Startups around the world.
Easy to Post for job requirements if you have any and actually search for profiles and see their resumes so that you can finalize the candidate for your job opening.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Nothing much but it would be great if we can see a company funding and future scope in detail.

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

Make your Profile looks great to grab the opportunities from startups and level yourself up from the crowd.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was matched with a company near to my location and actually got hired by that company based on my profile in angellist. That was great.
It was easy to find people and companies out their and connect with them by seeing their profiles and for companies we can see their funding rounds and employees and the values they inehrit in the company.
For a beginner it would be a great platform to know about startups and connect with them for free.
It's like bible for startups and people who love startups.
I think it gives more value to your profile if you simply their in AngelList.

  ### 35. A-list takes their time!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Love the A-List crew, they're super responsive when you need support on a candidate. They make recruiting turnkey.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Many of the candidates are bad. There is a long initial sifting process needed.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Larger top of funnel
- Faster connections with candidates

  ### 36. Pretty good service not my first choice though

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jakiem P. | Personal Trainer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

I like how easy and accessable it is to use. Also that there are plenty of leads to choose from. The lead to company ease of use usage is extremely nice.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

I don't like the fact that a lot of the leads were already taken from other companies. I felt like a bunch of the leads were and should have been taken down, but there are plenty to choose from. Also I believe Angie's list has a wider selection of leads so that can be overwhelming.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting jobs completed in places I could not have been accessable today without Angie's list. I can have many clients in the same area and do them all in one day which is a great way to get things done and my biggest problem jobs bulked around the same time.

  ### 37. Overall good product itself, problem is that candidates on the platform often have a lot of offers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Its very intuitive, good integration with our ATS, support is good as well.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Candidates who are shopping around but not really buying in.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized its a great way to expand your pool of candidates but not great for hiring fast, but that depends on the market I guess you are in.

finding talent easier than I would on LinkedIn

Networking is very important for early stage startups. AngelList makes it possible to build and leverage your previous social networks to find better fit start-ups.

I hope they can give me more recommendations every time.

I used to work in many large companies before I wanted to find a job at a start-up. I went to AngelList and found that many of my former coworkers have started their own startup. This makes my journey much easier because I know their background, and I can tell which startup fit me better since team is very important when you work in a small company.

  ### 43. The Linkedin Alternative that finds supports your seed round

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee S. | Director of Information Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

Angel's public (yet private) approach allows blossoming Start-Ups to market themselves to potential investors. The real-time updates showing funding process is their niche within the social media perspective.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

A pain-point within the online portal is the additional efforts in communicating with other members. I'd love to see more development regarding Angel's messaging platform.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Funding! Angel Co is a source where my organization has successfully found investors and advisors.

**What do you like best about Wellfound?**

The job hunting portal is great. You can see salary expectations, equity, as well as search by location or to work remotely!

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

Some companies are very small, and they post jobs. Once you interview, you realize how scattered they are.

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

It is best for those in technology and the startup environment.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

The platform is easy to use, user friendly. The best part is the comparison where one can see where they stand against their peers.

**What do you dislike about Wellfound?**

They send too many emails, and a lot of them are not job search related. Also, their search process is not the easiest of all, it can get confusing for new users.

**Recommendations to others considering Wellfound:**

The search process could be more user-friendly. Also, they could have a filter for whether a person is looking for an entry level job or a senior position and similar.

**What problems is Wellfound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using AngelList, I'm trying to get a job at a startup. I've seen that they mostly specify the salary and ranking against peers which helps the candidates.

The locations are limited to most bigger cities, but they still need to work on medium to small cities. I am sure there are a lot of startups in these cities needing help.

Usually salaries are lower than normal. So its gear towards college graduates and people with less experience in the field.
