## Weld Reviews
  ### 1. Creating a data infrastructure with Weld was easy-peasy 🍋

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yana Y. | Talent Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

When we started with Weld, we barely had anything in place related to data. The intuitive interface and the dream team at Weld helped us not only create a first iteration of our data infractructure but also boost the data knowledge within our team.

What helped a lot were the connectors that allowed us to easily link our existant data sources, but also the custom connector option, which helped connect our internally developed software as well. Using Weld to create models and then visalise them allowed for my team to become more data-driven, make better strategic decisions and track progress along the jounerney.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The only thing we somewhat miss is having a Weld representative assigned to us as an account. Nonetheless, I know the business model changed and I’m hapyp to be part of the Weld Slack channel and community now!

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld helps us consolidate and combine data from diverse sources such as Hubspot, LinkedIn, G-Suite, and different ATS system into a single database. Everything on the platform is structured and it is very inuitively designed for our analyst to use it. By using Weld, we end up having a single source of truth when building data models and visualising various metrics later. Through the centralization of data, our internal reporting process has greatly improved and the team generally became more data-driven.

Additionally, Weld contributes in educating our team on data-related topics through the rich library of articles on their website and their SQL course.

  ### 2. Transparent and functional tool for dataprocessing a must have in your datastack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kåre M. | Advisory Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The SQL centered approach, and the AI that help you write the SQL needed to work with your data across multiple sources. It's simply awsome.

It can feel a bit as a programmers tool, but the no-code approach you can take, using the AI to generate the SQL needed, will help you keep a transparent view on how your data is handled. I've found it to be comforting to know that I can copy my generated SQL to any other setup to validate and possibly export if needed.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I'd love to see some visualisation options inside Weld. It's great to be able to hook into other visualization tools, but for validating and simple outputs, it could be great to be able to do quick visual dashboards of your data.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing data together from multpile sources to be able to co-relate data that present itself on a timeline. We have product data and feedback on usage data on product that is only related via a timeline. Being able to bring those together in a single tools as made a big difference for us beeing able to read our data more in detail

  ### 3. Data warehousing and ETL made easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonatan T. | Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Coming from a relatively small organization, Weld has made it easy to set up and manage a data warehouse with numerous data sources. Furthermore their intiutive design has made it easy to get started with tranformation and analysis of data. With the addition of their AI tool, it is now also extremely easy to get into writing SQL, even with a very limited experience. The tool seems to be developing every day!

One key sales argument for me, was that it is an option to export your code down the road, if our data warehousing needs change in the future - thus you are never tied to the software.

In short, Weld is definitely a state of the art tool, that can help you boost the data integrity in your company within a relatively short time and without heavy cost.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The product proposition in Weld has changed over the past year, which we needed to navigate within. On the other hand the pricing plans have also changed accordingly (adding an essential plan), and Weld has done their best to not affect our experience.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Establishing a data warehouse and data ETL.

  ### 4. Weld is the best ETL platform for E-commerce

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I've used several ETL tools out there, and all of them lack the custimization, Weld offers with their SQL editor. Weld is also the only tool, i've come across, that provides access to almost all available fields in the API's it support.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Weld requires some SQL-knowledge as well as some experience with data warehouses.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld allows me to extract large amounts of data from several systems without manually having to program an ETL function.

  ### 5. Userfriendly and powerfull ETL tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristian H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

It was easy to get started with Weld. We was up and running with all our data sources within the first day thanks to the build in integrations within Weld. We were very happy with the onboarding process, where we got all the necessary help (and more too!) in order to get up and running. Weld also have a strong community with both other customers as well as supporters at Weld helping in a minute.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I do not have a specific issue to address. Being a scale-up company Weld can without doubt still be better, for example in terms of integrations, UX, nice-to-have features, etc.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Power BI as a front-end BI tool. We use Weld to our ETL process, getting our data model ready to show in Power BI. Using Weld we model one source of truth data model to all our colleagues

  ### 6. From 0 to value in 20 minutes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Søren B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

When setting up Weld for the first time, I had issues connecting with an external data source. I wrote their support, and within minutes I was on a call getting real-time support helping with troubleshooting, and we quickly found out it was due to a missing scope from the data source. Since then, I trust that when I run into an issue, or I feel blocked, I can safely assume that their support will go above and beyond to help resolve any issue.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Sometimes when logging into Weld, new features have been released, and it can sometimes be challenging to figure out the navigation and where to find things you thought were previously in another place.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting an overview of your different data sources that can often be scattered across 10+ tools has never been easier. On top of that, their new AI SQL assistant helps to get even more value when you are in a hurry to write that SQL statement but you don't remember the exact syntax for when you need it.

  ### 7. Weld's platform makes data insights easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rasmus B. | Data Specialist, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld sparked our journey at GrejFreak to become more data-driven, as the platform started our journey into using business intelligence. The easy setup and integration with other software meant that we quite fast could start utilizing Weld for automated monthly reports and data visualization across the organization. Furthermore, Weld made an extra effort to GrejFreak, as our webshop platform previously didn't have a connector with the Weld platform, so this was built in 14 days. So the implementation process took less than a month before the product showed its use!

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Overall happy with their product. One thing could be to make more "standard" connectors , as Weld provides the ability to create custom connectors which requires creating scripts on your own.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld provides the opportunity to gather and merge data from various data sources into one database. As an Ecommerce retailer, our data is spread across SoMe channels, Email marketing software, Google, our Webshop platform and many other data sources. By using Weld, GrejFreak can work towards creating one single source of truth, instead of double checking metrics across multiple channels.

By centralizing data, the reporting task has been vastly improved.

Furthermore, Weld provided a thorough onboarding process in which various use cases were built together with them as BI experts and they were also happy to provide tips and tricks to becoming better and more sufficient at SQL for example.

  ### 8. Weld is the quick and easy solution to kickstarting a BI setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonie K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld has been instrumental in kickstarting our business intelligence setup. The experts at Weld helped us set up the initial data structures and aggregations while implementing some first use cases. This approach left us with an excellent starting point to dive deeper into our data. The implementation process was super quick, and the team behind Weld has been incredibly supportive and responsive since the beginning. We appreciate the built-in AI assistant, which together with the intuitive platform design has enabled us to run a DWH with only junior experience and thus save internal team resources.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

As we started using Weld over a year ago, we've been there through some fluctuations and changes in their business/product strategy. However, Weld made a great effort to not let that affect our partnership and was always open to adapt to our needs.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the major problems that Weld is solving for us is the ability to connect multiple data sources effortlessly. By modeling our data and in turn visualizing it, we're able to deliver key metrics and insights to teams across all departments (for us that includes Commercial, Product, Finance). A feature that we've come to love is the reverse-ETL, which we use to make key metrics accessible directly via Salesforce without users having to switch tools.

  ### 9. Best ETL-solution out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

First and foremost, Weld is incredibly user-friendly. The graphical interface is intuitive, which makes it easy to build data workflows quickly and efficiently. Even with little experience in SQL and pipeline management, we found that Weld was straightforward and easy to use.

What really impressed me, however, was Weld's flexibility. It was able to handle data from a wide variety of sources, including SQL databases, Google Sheets, and even APIs. The solution also allowed us to customize my data transformations in a way that best suited my needs. Whether I needed to clean data, join tables, or aggregate data, Weld had the necessary tools to accomplish the task.

Weld's performance was also exceptional. I was able to run large-scale ETL jobs quickly and efficiently, with minimal downtime via a Snowflake instance and visualization via own-hosted Metabase. The solution's scalability meant that I could process more data without any issues.

Another standout feature of Weld was its support. I never felt lost or unsure about how to use a particular feature, as the support team was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns that I had.

Overall, I highly recommend Weld as an ETL solution. Its user-friendliness, flexibility, performance, and support make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to streamline their data integration processes. I will definitely be using Weld for all my ETL needs going forward.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Weld is still limited to a certain number of integrations - although the team is super interested to hear if you need custom integrations.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Here are some of the key problems that Weld solve, and how they benefit us:
1) Data integration: Weld allow us to extract data from disparate sources, transform it into a standardized format, and load it into a centralized repository. This helps us consolidate our data, making it easier to analyze and gain insights.
2) Data quality: Weld also helps improve our data quality by identifying and cleaning inconsistent or erroneous data. Via Weld, we have created our Single Source of Truth.
3) Time and cost efficiency: Weld automate the process of data integration, reducing the time and cost associated with manual data entry and processing.
4) Scalability: Weld can handle large volumes of data and are scalable, allowing us to process more data as our need grow.

Overall, Weld solve a range of business problems related to data integration, quality, efficiency, scalability, and business intelligence. By using Weld, we have improved our data management practices, made better decisions, and gained a competitive advantage.

  ### 10. Business Analytics Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikita E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Looking at Weld as a platform, what I really like about it is that it does manage our connectors very well and we never experienced any issue which backfired on our business. What I really like about Weld as a company, is how well the product team keeps on delivering improvements, which make my work easier and definitely less stressfull. The team is very well-aware of the value which the platform gives to the users and delivers very useful updates every now and then. This is a good way to grow a tech company.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

It's not something that is specifically attributed to Weld, but I believe that young companies in general have a lot of room for improvement for certain UI design changes. I don't see it as something necessarily negative and I have no doubt that it will become even better with time.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is solving the issue of having to create individual connectors for each of the data sources. On top of that, having a lineage feature really saves a lot of time when it comes to reverse-engineering of certain data pipelines inside of our data warehouse.

  ### 11. Powerful Solution for all Data Operations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elias F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The Weld platform is very easy to set up and intuitive to use. ETL pipelines can be set up by choosing from agrowing list provided connectors. If a connector is not yet available, custom connectors can be created and customized, integrating all data sources easily.

The SQL editor includes an AI assistant, making even the most complex models easy to manage.

The support of the Weld team has been great, as feedback and requests are actively sought after, and the platform gets improved continuously!

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The testing, as well as the data documentation options are quite limited at the moment.
Additionally, partitioned, and clustered materialized views are not available yet in BigQuery.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld centralized various different data extraction processes, and helped automizing data gathering from some sources. It also enabled more collaboration in data modeling tasks,

  ### 12. Data insights are made simpler using Weld's platform!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

For someone who has never used data warehousing before, the learning curve could be quite daunting. However, Weld's copious documentation ensures comfort even for novices like myself. Building a data warehouse requires deep technical knowledge, but Weld has defied this convention. Its built-in AI helper is like having a skilled data engineer by your side.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

There's not much about weld that I dislike.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize Weld to seamlessly integrate data from various ad networks, creating a comprehensive performance dashboard that provides invaluable insights into our marketing activities.

  ### 13. We use Weld for data warehousing and data extraction for reporting for clients - and it's perfect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Three things to like: 1) The help we get from the team is amazing; 2) the solution has everything we need for marketing data out of the box; and 3) it's very quick to get started.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Nothing yet, but I imagine that if you need data from many different sources, you'll need to have some of your data extraction custom-built, increasing costs. Not much different from other solutions on the market, and it hasn't been an issue for us so far.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an agency, Weld has become our go-to solution for reporting across marketing, sales and CRM data. It's often a much faster and cheaper alternative to using our clients' existing tech stack, and enables us to shorten the road to full-funnel performance marketing reporting considerably.

  ### 14. Easy to use and a great option for most companies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Very easy to get started with and super helpful team. We had a request for some extra data from our sources and the endpoints were added in less than a day.
Good selection of sources and more reasonably priced than similar products.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

It's a new product, so the list of sources and destinations might be smaller than more established products. Weld also seems, at least for now, more focused on reporting and data structure than on activating or exporting the data to other platforms aside from BI or CRM tools.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld made it super easy for us to build custom data models using our shopify data. It lets us build reports and analyze areas, that Shopifys native reporting tool does not.

  ### 15. An easy to use, great tool for your Data Operations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niklas S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld is very user-friendly and easy to get started with. They offer connectors to the largest SaaS solutions out there, so getting access to your data has never been easier. They offer great support when needed and the front-end solution is very user-friendly, both for beginners to experienced data engineers.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

You always want more connectors, even for the smaller software solutions that you as a company have - this is not something that I dislike as they are adding new connectors all the time. Also still some issues with the fit for the rest of our data ops for those still not ready to go all-in on using Weld.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld has helped us go from a dispersed data stack to a consolidated, established single source of truth. We are now more aligned with our internal data and also have a tool that allows us to focus on the analysis of the data and not extracting it from its sources.

  ### 16. Light-weighted ELT platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filip S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld is an easy-to-use tool with neat and intuitive design. Among its main advantages is the focus on what it should do rather than the abundance of features and native integrations with lots of other tools and platforms. I also appreciate its very prompt support and personal approach.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

It may lack some advanced features and a more exhaustive documentation of the existing ones.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the moment, Weld is our core ETL tool. Its simplicity decreases the amount of time spent on administration and maintenance.

  ### 17. Plug & play data connectors for your data warehouse

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arnau G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld provides a user friendly platform to connect your data sources with your data warehouse, which can be very time consuming to develop in-house.
Their customer service is great and they listen to the users demands to keep developing the product.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Data source connectors that are missing can take long to develop. You can develop them yourself using their custom connectors, which is great, but that is time consuming.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is extracting the data from the source system and making it available in the data warehouse.

  ### 18. Unlocked the power of our data in days

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis G. | Co-founder, advisor , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Connecting multiple data sources into one queryable framework was blazing fast. It's enabled business, product, and RevOps to get insights from the data after we are done with core data modeling.

On top, super support and service.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

There is still a need to understand your own data and SQL to get insights out of the Datawarehouse system; I know that Weld is working on that with GPT support.

Build more systems for the NON-SQL users.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have multiple data sources from Product, AI, and Business/DevOps data.
Our problem is to enable three teams to build business value.

- Product + RevOps: Business strategy, Reporting.
- ML/AI Eng.: Use historical data to train and build new models from
- Research/Science: Use historical data for research to build new products

  ### 19. Easy to work with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rasmus V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Simple and easy to get started with. Wide range of connectors.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I would have liked to have an integration with DBT.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Weld to pull in data from a wide range of sources. Using Weld, we don't have to write and maintain connections ourselves.

  ### 20. Business value > Over engineering

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronnie G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Extraction pricing and simplicity thats hard to build and maintain yourself.

Focus on what matters; Fail fast and learn to build business value fast.

A company that has the capacity to prioritze not only super large enterprises, but cares about use cases.

Quick to respond to the market, such as integrations with chat GPT to help you document your stuff and get recommendations.

Last but not least: A front end that not only data engineers can understand, but that you can actually bring closer to the business. Fx. i trust that Weld can be put in front of technical finacial & business controllers, who has the domain knowledge to extract the oil from data the data engineers can not.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Lack of api's and git nativenes. I trust that it will come, but for now i miss it. Would make it easier to make it fit with the rest of a dataops pratice for those not ready to go full in on using Weld for everyting.
Would also make it easier to make IT buy into it and set it free to finance, markeing, sales etc. as we could set up our on internal controls etc.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's hard to showcase a frontend on data extraction when it's all happening in an airflow DAG or some script running in a container. This can make it difficult as a consultant to justify spending, for example, 6 hours on making an extraction work stably and charging X.XXX USD for that.

With Weld, the value is recognizable and appreciated by the receivers, as the speed is incredible compared to the price. When I don't spend time on extracting data, I can invest that time in what actually matters in the value chain: enabling teams to gain insights into why things are happening in their business, and in the end; Enabling them to react in the best manner to serve their customers.

  ### 21. Easy to use even for a non data-analyst!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikala S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld is super intuitive to use, even without any prior experience. The pre-programmed connectors enables us to get started with our existant data sources straight away. The AI is a great tool to help you generate your SQL. The team are exeptionally helpful in getting you off the ground and ongoing support.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

It would be great if there were more plug-and-play use cases. Weld provides the space to setup the dashboards you need, but still requires the user to have a clear use case in mind and some knowledge on how to setup. The new AI tool is super useful here.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated access to customer behaviour

  ### 22. Great increase in efficiency, consistency and availability of our data analytics.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valter M. | Head of analytics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The ease with which we can connect our data with a simple click to automatically fetch live data to our database for further analysis, no building of API needed. Having all our data sources in one place for cross-platform analytics.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

That there is, as of now, no possibility of seeing the New active row count per table or connector, which is what the pricing is based on. Only updated rows are shown but does not necessarily mean the table is the highest-cost.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have moved away from all manual export and storing data in sheets/CSV files. Weld solved the problem of automatically creating reporting and dashboards for teams, investors, sales etc.
They solved our main issue as an e-commerce business: get a good overview of our sales across all stores (Shopify) and marketplaces (Amazon, zalando, stadium, magazin etc.), which we could not do ourselves without a large amount of manual ADHOC work.
Weld also enabled us to close to real-time monitor problems on the platform, such as customer behavior, shipping issues, or fraudulent orders ahead of causing an issue.

  ### 23. Weld combines both ELT and transformation in one, well-built workspace. Fantastic!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matias V. | Business Intelligence Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld has simplified our data stack enabling Female Invest to explore our data more easily, faster, and more with confidence. Weld is intuitively built and suits all company sizes - however, it is especially suited for SMBs because of its ease-of-use. The Weld team is quick to support and implement new product features making you always feel heard and your feedback appreciated. Compared to ELT competitors such as Fivetran, Weld is a fraction is extremely competitive on price. Similarly, Weld is competitive on pricing compared to other transformation tools. Best of all, Weld combines both ELT and transformation in one, well-built workspace.

Weld now also supports custom ELT connections, eliminating the need for custom pipelines.

In one word: Fantastic!

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Not much to dislike. However, connector documentation and templates can be improved. A collaboration feature would also be nice.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld has helped us go from an incredibly dispersed data stack to a consilidated, established single-source of truth.

  ### 24. The easiest way of getting from no data setup to valuable insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian Reilly V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Weld?**

It's by far the simplest "plug and play" data solution that I've tried. No need to setup multiple different systems for gathering, modelling and getting insights from my data. It's all included in Weld. The alternative for me would be to use one system for syncing the data, another system for modelling, and maybe even a third for insights and visualizations - this takes a long long time to set up, it's hard to maintain, and almost impossible to understand when something goes wrong. Highly recommend Weld!

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Weld didn't have all the connectors that I needed built into their platform - luckily they have a "custom connector" solution, so it was pretty easy for me to add the missing data sources

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before I didn't have any organized data setup, but as our business grew, we realized, we needed a better approach for keeping track of our business through data, and having a single source of truth. It was really easy getting started on this journey with Weld!

  ### 25. Weld makes it easy to focus on building insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld has helped us combine a multitude of data sources and focus on just building insights. We save ourselves an engineer and they have very short repsonse times on support when we still find ourselves in need of explanation.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Weld is still a somewhat young product, so some straightforward features are missing. But they are still building the product, so you have a say in what should be prioritized.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We combine multiple data sources without an engineer working full time on it. We are able to have one source of truth since all our systems are combined an located in one place

  ### 26. Fast, and excellent value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stuart B. | Senior Data Analyst - Customer Experience, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

We're using weld primarily for the managed data pipeline and it has been super easy to setup. There's a whole range of integrations we plan to use with our clients that take the hassle out of data engineering.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The slack integration seems to fail every now and again but it's still in development and I've been told it is being worked on.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking the hassle out of creating and managing data pipelines

  ### 27. Great tool and help to enable us to fix custom business usecases faster

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxime M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The help from the Weld team and the simplicity of use of the Tool.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

At first it might not be super clear what Weld's brings next to DBT.
However it allowed me to do much more! (reverse ETL, custom data pipelines ...)

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue I had was that I use ETL for most data extraction however sometimes I cannot.
For example we use Salesloft and Hubspot, the native sync does not synchronize a lot of things and I don't get them through my ETL standard extraction.
So I needed to call specifics endpoints, create models for the data and reverse etl it back to my tools / visualize it with my BI Tool.

It was super straightforward to do and Chloe from Weld really helped me a lot!

  ### 28. Data access and alignement made easy without use of developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikolaj S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The AI assistant included in Welds solution, has enabled us to extract, transform and load data exactly how we want to but with use of developers. Previously, I only had limited knowledge with SQL but in 1 day the AI assistant helped me build queries exactly how i wanted to.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Besides the standard data connections it is cumbersome to import data into weld. There is not Webhook function which means you need to create custom functions in Google Cloud Function or similar. In this case, you would need a developer.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have become more aligned on the understanding of our data and we have been able to make necessary transformations to ensure the data is shown correctly. Addtionally, we have been able to share all data with collegues from a single source.

  ### 29. Fantastic all-in-one data platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma Christine B. | Analytics Engineer (student), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld is a great data platform that stands out with its prompt replies and diverse connector options. Chloe and the rest of the amazing team always reply within few hours :)

It's extremely user-friendly, which makes data management possible for users of all skill levels. A true game-changer for efficient data integration and analysis.

Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I don't have any specific concerns regarding weld.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld helps us gather all of our data in one datawarehouse, and thereby eliminating a lot of manual work in e.g. google sheet.

  ### 30. The plug & play solution for data warehouse and analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Casper B. L. | Co-Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

When logging into Weld everything is intuitive. Setting up integrations and creating dashboards that provide real value is much more manageable. It is excellent for someone still on a learning curve. Setting up a data warehouse and creating comprehensive data analysis has never been more accessible than with Weld.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The downside of using Weld is if you want to make integrations that are not "on the shelf". Then it requires more on the user side and can be difficult to quickly get the metrics you are looking to find.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is helping us have a clear data overview. Despite being a relatively young SaaS we still have a handful of important data sources and standalone systems that do not integrate the data we have - at least not the way we want it.
Weld solves this challenge.

  ### 31. Great user experience! It has increased my productivity 10 fold.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keelan L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

It has streamlined my workflow considerably and has made working across many different tables with complicated transformation less of a burden.

The lineage feature is a life saver!

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Overall I love the product - only thing I can think of as a limitation is the required SQL knoweldge.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Following transformations in multiple steps accross many different tables.

  ### 32. An Efficient Tool for Rapid Data Platform Development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** August H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld excels at effortlessly establishing connections from Postgres databases, advertising platforms, and Salesforce. The export to Salesforce feature is a significant time-saver and its user-friendly navigation is commendable.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

As a growing company, Weld is still evolving and occasionally, some features may not perform as anticipated. However, their strength lies in their responsive approach to bug reports or issues. They typically deliver a solution within a couple of weeks, demonstrating their commitment to continuous improvement.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld provides a practical solution to the challenge of creating custom connections for each third-party service. By offering both ETL and reverse ETL capabilities, Weld significantly reduces the time and effort we would otherwise invest in these tasks. This efficiency translates into substantial time savings for our team, allowing us to focus on other critical aspects of our operations.

  ### 33. Intuitive and does the job well

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Temur M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The product is quite easy to setup and use. It has most of the connectors needed for a small to medium company as well as a functionality to build a custom connector if needed. The customer support is top notch, Weld team supporting in any issue that may arise.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

It might not have as many connectors as bigger competitors, but custom connector functionality solves this issue.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld sits in the center of our whole ELT process, enabling us to extract and model our data.

  ### 34. User friendly and great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I personally like the way the app is organized. I find it quite user friendly and easy to learn.
In my case I had cero experience using a data warehouse managnment, and after a few weeks I was able to use it at its best.
Also would like to highlight the awesome service for the training period and in terms of customer support when creating new conectors.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

For the moment I have nothing to say. All the features I needed to use were available and I just needed to learn how to use them.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my company we have lots of data, billions of rows, therefore, Weld was an esential tool when organizing the data and creating models.

  ### 35. A powerful and Intuitive ETL Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I have been using Weld for several weeks now and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with its capabilities as an ETL tool. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple to set up and manage complex data pipelines.

One of the things I appreciate most about Weld is its flexibility. It supports a wide range of data sources and formats, and the ability to customize workflows to meet specific business needs has been a game-changer for me.

I also managed to setup a custom connector coded in Phyton within a few days.

Overall, I highly recommend Weld for anyone looking for a powerful and user-friendly ETL solution. It has definitely streamlined my data integration processes and made my job much easier.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

You need to have some SQL skills to be able to transform your data. I would love to see a combination where you can do some basic transformation of your data without the need to code

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extract data from our API´s and send to you datawarehouse

  ### 36. Data made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guy L. | Revenue Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The Weld platform makes connecting, gathering, modelling and activating your commercial data so simple. The Weld team also provide amazing support! We wouldn't have been able to scale up as fast without the help of the Weld platform.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Nothing so far, you just simply connect your systems and go about your business

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to solve the problem of disconnected data sources - this platform helped solve that problem.

  ### 37. Very suitable for companies that are just starting their business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Demsy I. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

It's easy to use, robust, has a lot of connectors, fast response support

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Doesn't provide partitioned table yet in BigQuery

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot. I don't need to write any custom ETL and reverse ETL. Especially when the data demand from the company is pretty high.

  ### 38. Everything I did not know I desperately needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kasper Aavild H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The WELDERS - quick help and excellent mentality to problem solving and helping out. Definitely, those kinds of consultants you would like to hire.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The downside is that you always want more. It is built on SQL, so it obviously comes short in some scenarios with sequential calculations.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We finally have a central place for all the data where we can combine it and visualize it in the organization. All data extraction exercises are now minimized

  ### 39. Great tool with an awesome team!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lilya T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld has a user-friendly interface and constantly adds new features to make things easier.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Sometimes the workflows and the syncs don't work as planned, but the team always responds quickly to solve the issues.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld helps extract, load and transform the data from all our business's sources and allows modifying it with SQL to get the finalised version of data we need.

  ### 40. A really powerful way of connecting to your sources of truth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robbie O. | Head of Finance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Weld?**

For me the power of Weld is in accessing the key data points needed to drive insight, to do it at source and to be able to combine those sources to create integrated views.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Weld still requires that users have clear use cases in mind and the ability to see those use cases through. Weld gives you the environment to operate in, it's up to you to creat the scripts and dashboards you need.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated access to information, at source. Specifically we use it for finance, growth, sales metrics, across our CRM and our billing tool. This creates a lot of value for us.

  ### 41. Weld has become our favorite ETL tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld delivers a very easy to use interface, very stable datapipeline at a pricepoint that enables us to use it across both large and small clients.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

We are not missing anything at the moment.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Much more reasonable priced but still delivers super stable data pipeline. It is easy and scales well.

  ### 42. Committed to grow

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

As a young product, it has its shortcomings but the team is receptive to user feedback and prioritizes issue resolution.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

UI can be confusing, and some connectors are still maturing. However, regular updates show noticeable improvement.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld develops a selection of connectors that help us centralise all our data in our data warehouse.

  ### 43. Weld helps your data get organised

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Ease of use, AI help and overall fexibility.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Ideally more data connectors and documentation around them, this is currently solved by quick help form the Weld team where the support and expertise are on admirable level.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data aggreagation and transformation at 1 place.

  ### 44. A leap forward to data excellence

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonah T. | Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The most difficult part of the pipeline setup which is the ETF process has been handle very quickly and flawlessly by Weld. The setup of the GBQ platform is well organized and it is now easy to navigate and explore our data. The overall architecture is well thought and I can see the potential for improvement for the company. We also own what Weld built except for the pipeline, the data warehouse and the historical data belongs to the company and we can expand on these solid foundations.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

We were the first company to have an Amazon integration with Weld, the data gathering took longer than expected for this data source. Also the data validation for complex data sources can take some time.

**Recommendations to others considering Weld:**

I recommand Weld for companies that have yet to develop a data philosophy and practise. It gives you a jump start into good, reliable, scalable business intelligence. To maintain and expand the possibilities that Weld's give you, I recommand to have a few data analyst/scientist in your company as it will require some technical knowledge. It will be easier to develop the data literacy of the company if an analyst guide the transition.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralize and organize our data effectively. We've also gain speed on the data gathering on Amazon and reduced the number of bugs we had compared to our previous data gathering installation. In addition, due to the clever architecture with Weld+GBQ+Metabase, we are improving the data literacy of our company which is one of our main value.

  ### 45. Working with Weld has made our data insights more rich, dynamic and actionable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ditte D. | Head of Engagement & Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The combination of effective tooling and support from Weld experts in getting our setup right has been a winning combination and has made it a lot easier to start working with our BI data in a new way. We can work with different data sources in one place and couple that to our production data, which is valuable for any single source of truth.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

No major dislikes at this point. It is a very different price point from just running with e.g. Google Analytics, but it also allows you to build the models you need across different platforms.

**Recommendations to others considering Weld:**

Think about the essential use cases first and ensure you have the data in place for those. Once you're connected, you'll find out what other types of data you may want to make accessible, but it will be easier to visualize once you're up and running. Make sure to have your developer on board during the setup pahse to align on any missing data and agree on appropriate actions. If you're using UTM stamps, consider registering those in your database so that you can use this information for your modeling as well.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Minimizing data loss
Connecting spend to conversions and lifetime value
Customizing funnels and cohorts across different conversion actions
Getting support from a data scientist in building our models

  ### 46. Weld made it possible to truly becoming a data-driven business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea G. | Head of Commercial Excellence, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The platform integrations enable you to aggregate all possible sources of data. Pairing it with Weld's data consultant truly allows you to dig deep into whatever aspect of your business, regardless of what skill set you have got in-house. The added consultant brings experience, advice and methodology. It also becomes somewhat of a team member, which helps push projects to the finish line.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Nothing specifically that I disliked so far. My advice is to approach the collab with great project management skills along with a set of clear definitions and related mapping.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of our metrics can finally be analysed, sliced and monitored across time, people and processes. We are also now able to correlate a different set of data and push entries across data sources.

  ### 47. Strongly recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian P. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Before Weld, our internal engineering team handled our BI setup. Our engineering team had created a good foundation, but we had reached the point where performance was decreasing due to the volume of data that we were collecting. The performance issues meant that we needed to devote more and more capacity to keeping our BI setup alive, and we were looking into a massive investment to support our BI setup without any experts on the team.

Luckily we came across Weld who were able to solve our scaling and performance problems by changing our setup. We signed a partnership with Weld, which means that our internal developers now can focus on our strategic initiatives while Weld takes care of our BI requirements. This has been crucial as we've been able to archive our strategic goals faster while having full transparency into our BI.

We have a really good partnership with Weld and they are always very responsive and jumping on the ball when an issue occurs.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Coordination between projects can be a bit hard to keep track of. It's partly our own fault as we have a lot of balls in the air, but it could be great with a more firm process for communication pre/post work is started.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld are experts in BI and data which means that we can let them handle our BI setup while our internal engineering team can focus on our internal strategic initiatives.

  ### 48. Becoming more professional at using our data - made easy with Weld

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sporting Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld has built our data pipeline from scratch, including connectors to our Amazon data. This will save us a lot of time in the future and increase data accuracy across sales channels.
We are highly satisfied with the help provided by the Weld team on an ongoing basis, their approachability, and their capability to sense our needs (e.g. instead of building the visualizations themselves, we wanted to receive guidance on how to do it ourselves).

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

We are very happy with everything so far. It might be helpful for the future to have some more video tutorials on setting up connectors, building basic dashboards, etc.
Another useful aspect would be to get more insights into how other companies use their data and how we could use our data in the best possible way (recommendations on visualizations, etc.).

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Combining data from different sales channels and ERP system.

  ### 49. Weld are amazing to work with!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikolai S. | RevOps Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld has transformed the way we manage data from the ground up. The platform is straightforward to use, and the team behind it is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Nothing to dislike. Everything is great and with incredible support. Since we integrated our apps and data sources through the Weld.app, we haven't touched them once. It just works.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re using Weld’s ETL & Reverse-ETL, and we even have all of our metrics living in the Weld platform. This has allowed our entire team to align on key metrics like LTV, CAC, MRR, etc. On top of that, we’re leveraging our data further with the reverse-ETL. We sync our data models from BigQuery to Hubspot in real-time, which allows our GTM teams to be a lot more productive and perform better.

  ### 50. Building a modern BI from scratch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Janos M. | CFO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Very responsive team wanted to be successful together. They allowed us to quickly build a modern database that we could use for tactical & strategic decision making. Were quicker in implementation than competitors and also required less commitment financially and internal team resources than others

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Not much I can add really. As a growing startup the their team make up did fluctuate at the beginning but this not hinder speed or quality of implementation. I was super happy with them

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a lot of data, but we had no structured way of using it. They helped us structure and aggregate data from various sources and different levels of granularity. Once we had an excellent base to work from, they also advised on how we should be using the data and what business decisions we may make based on it.
