Don't fall into the trap if you're anything but a few people **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025 **What do you like best about Weglot?** We got into Weglot because it's easy to get started and at the time did machine translations about the same as other products. If we had to do it again, we'd pick a more mature solution, or at least one with a more responsive team. **What do you dislike about Weglot?** Difficult communication through email, and will never go on calls. We pay 2000$ / month and they refuse to get on calls full stop. Sometimes just ignoring us, it doesn't matter how nicely we ask. Last year they did a tech upgrade which wasn't smooth at all and forced us to work on this for weeks, all the while sendings us notifications that our website would be shut down. Horrible waste of time, made frustrating. Hard rules like "we never go on calls with customers" don't make sense in business. They are lifestyle decisions that hold the business back. Their translations lack behind competitors. They only just released AI translations, but you have to click a button for each html element you want translated. **What problems is Weglot solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to translate our website, and that has benefited our SEO and accessibility for users coming in from different languages. **Official Response from Baptiste Brébion:** > Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We fully understand how frustrating that must have been. Regarding the technical migration you mentioned, we recognize that it was not a smooth process for some customers at the time. Since then, we’ve improved our internal workflows and communication efforts to better support projects during such transitions. As for the translation experience, we recently introduced a new AI-powered feature that allows you to translate up to 10,000 entries at once in bulk — making it much easier to manage large volumes of content efficiently. We understand the importance of accurate translations, and we do our best to generate high-quality automatic translations, to reduce the need for manual review. However, please note the Weglot automatic translations are provided by well-known providers (such as DeepL, Google or Bing) and are not generated directly on our side. I'm sure we could find a solution for your needs. For example, we provide a way to change the translation provider for your project. We also offer several useful tools to help manage these translations or edit them. I would be very glad to help you with this. This is something that should have been brought up during the onboarding -- not for me to discover myself a week later. **What do you dislike about Weglot?** Since implementing Weglot, our SEO tracker has shown significant issues on our site. After reaching out to their team, we have emailed back and forth for more than a week, and the changes they suggested made our site health even worse -- doubling the issues we see on our SEO tracker. I understand that they are based in Europe and they only service European time zones, but if you are building a software to be used globally it is insane that I cannot reach anyone at any time that aligns with my working day -- which has made the CS process slow and brutal. **What problems is Weglot solving and how is that benefiting you?** Translating our website, even though it has caused major SEO issues ## Weglot Discussions -
