Webhose is almost unique in that it offers an affordable way of monitoring breaking news stories about my clients. The specific site search / other boolean terms also help make it easier. Yes it's a bit fiddly to use and import the data easily into a Google Sheet / Excel, but overall it's the best value service out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Webz.io? Not all publications are covered, but the same is true for all platforms like this, be it Webhose or Meltwater. Occasionally when you import a JSon to an Excel Sheet the ordering switches from one month to the next ... not sure why. Shouldn't be a big deal but I tend to extract data based on the specific columns and if that gets muddled my automation does too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Webz.io: After you've figured out how to pull the data into a spreadsheet it's really easy to implement. Webhose just works. You can rely on it to monitor content based on your key words from thousands of different sites. It has a great API Playground to test queries to quickly understand if they have the content you're after. Their support team are quick to respond and always get the job done. We are examining political representation in Israel, that is, how citizens are being represented among media outlets and politicians. Therefore, we use Webhose in order to cover Israeli news outlets throughout the last 3 election periods. So I have to loop through the API calls to get all the matching stories. This makes the process much slower and prone to errors (e.g. internet connection drops out). There are some missing features, mainly the reddit support is still not holistic enough and missing some filtering options like specifying a specific case sensitive word search.
