"Easy to use management software for manuals and linking to regulatory compliance libraries"

What do you like best about webmanuals?

Since our company started using Web Manuals in 2016 many improvements to the software have been realized and it is still further developing based on the needs of the customers. Excellent 24 hour support whom are quick to respond to any question. Easy to edit manuals, any user now using e.g. Word or Frame Maker can easily switch to Web Manuals with minimal training effort. It is easy to create regulatory compliance links between the compliance libraries and the manuals. And you can keep track of the status of compliance of your company using the documented/reviewed check boxes for each requirement. Fully automated bookmarks, log of pages, page numbering, table of content, maintaining hyperlinks to the next revision, Word import, etc. which saves time. The software is accessible through any computer which is connected to the internet from any location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about webmanuals?

The diagram editor could be further improved. Certain automated modules require a validation by the user when they update themselves, it would be better if this is automated. Publishing a manual as PDF can take several minutes to process, this processing time could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering webmanuals:

Implement the software company wide through all divisions simultaneously. Limit the number of administrators and editors to a team of experts with sufficient exposure to the system. Use the Web Manuals reader if possible in order to avoid having to use PDF files as output. Include the compliance libraries to facilitate keeping track of the status of compliance of the company. What problems is webmanuals solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company was looking for software to manage regulatory compliance and to support in demonstrable continuous compliance, this was enabled by implementing Web Manuals. We have combined separate documents such as Work Place Instructions from separate PDF files into a single manual with application full documentation control requirements (e.g. automated log of pages, version history, amendment letter, etc.). This enables searching the entire document for outdated terms, facilitates file management (one PDF file as output only and automatic archiving through the Web Manuals software) and all documentation now has the same "look and feel". Manuals containing many hyperlinks can now be published within minutes with working hyperlinks versus up to three days of combining PDF files and re-validating the hyperlinks in the past. Web Manuals offers you an easy to use and user-friendly authoring tool in a Word like environment. Another feature is an updated compliance library, which allows you to create links between the manual content and the compliance library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
