"Bridging the gap for developers to design"
What do you like best about Webflow?

Within the Webflow builder it is very easy to get started on a project and begin building it. There are a lot of already integrated features such as animations and hover state options. The ability to drag and drop in assets is super intuitive and saves a lot of time. The ability to export the code as a .zip package and inject it into hosting platforms is very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

This is a program to help developers bridge the design gap, not the other way around. As a designer myself it has a been hard to fully exercise my creativity within the Webflow builder without having prior knowledge of HTML/CSS. There is a lot of learning for designers with no code background to do to be able to create within this platform that is frustrating and leads to design that does not deliver in ways originally anticipated. Variables and styles are very confusing and often do not apply correctly. The builder also has a lot of bugs that break the page and you have to make a distinction if the page is broken due to a bug or to a fault of your own. There is an extremely limited starting component library as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use & All-in-one CMS platform "
What do you like best about Webflow?

We manage multiple websites on Webflow. The good thing about webflow is ease of use for non-tech folks. The marketing team can maintain & publish web pages without dependency on tech teams. Also, the CSS capabilities using drag and drop features with so many responsive elements makes us feel, we're not missing out on anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

The limits for CMS can actually be increased for each pricing tier as the current ones feel limited beyond a point. We have to write to webflow team to get it increased. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Design with a Few Caveats"
What do you like best about Webflow?

Webflow has made it incredibly approachable to learn web design—especially for visual designers. Our firm uses it daily across 40+ client sites, and it’s been a game-changer for rebuilding or migrating bloated, over-complicated WordPress setups. The platform makes implementation fast and straightforward, helping us move quickly from concept to launch. Plus, the ability to add custom code gives us the flexibility to integrate third-party tools and tailor functionality as needed.

We haven’t run into many issues that required customer support, but on the rare occasion we did, their team responded quickly and resolved a server issue efficiently—which gave us confidence in their reliability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

That said, there are a few limitations. Webflow’s CMS can feel restrictive when handling more complex content structures, and bulk editing or managing large collections of dynamic content isn’t as efficient as it should be. Tools like Finsweet offer great workarounds, but many of those features feel like they should be native to the platform. The e-commerce functionality is also fairly limited compared to other platforms, which can be a drawback for more robust online stores. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Built my entire site with Webflow"
What do you like best about Webflow?

I built mapledesign.co entirely on Webflow, and I use it almost every day. What I love most is how much control it gives me over every detail — from margins to z-index. Compared to tools like Framer, Webflow allows for precise layout structure using real spacing tools, not just padding and gaps. That flexibility makes it feel more like true frontend development but in a visual way.

In terms of ease of use, once you understand how things like flexbox and grid work, Webflow becomes incredibly intuitive — especially for designers. The interface is well thought-out, and the CMS and interactions panel are powerful and clean. It’s become my go-to tool for both personal and client projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

The biggest issue for me is how Webflow handles custom code. You have to go into page settings, open a sidebar, scroll, and repeat for every change. It slows things down. I’d love a dedicated code panel that’s accessible from anywhere, like a floating sidebar.

Also, while the interface is powerful, it could be more beginner-friendly. If Webflow added features that let you resize and place elements freely—similar to how Figma works—it would be much easier for non-developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"8 out of 10 in most things"
What do you like best about Webflow?

The ability to learn HTML and CSS while using the tool is what I benefited most from the Webflow experience. Bridging the gap between design and development wasn't easy at first, but once I got the hang of it after a while, using Webflow became addictive in a good way. Although now knowing what I know about HTML and CSS I could perhaps do it without using the software, I enjoy the process much more building in Webflow and visually editing what I need instead of reading and finding my way in the code. Components, variables, and libraries were a game-changing solution that showed the tool's ability to grow with its community's demand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

As a heavy user, there is no way around finding a few bugs along the way that could be improved. Again and again the connection is failing to save without any internet problems on my end for other things. I've lost count of the times I´ve realized after 15 to 30min of work the project hasn't been saving properly and upon 10 min of waiting for the connection problem to fix itself without success, I had to force a refresh on the page and pick up the pieces of the last edits unsaved in the project.

Components, libraries, and variables are awesome, although I wish the features around those were more stable. Copy/paste options for Variables and Components between projects for one. Although a few extensions help to go around the class duplication, they don't get them all right. Combo class duplication on components pasted from other projects is a pain on productivity. Relying on paid plugins to edit alt text in bulk also. Finding interactions on unused classes without seeing those in the interaction panel once deep cleaning a project was definitely a hassle that could be prevented for those seeking the most performance out of their websites using Webflow. "Best website builder I've ever used"
What do you like best about Webflow?

What I like most about Webflow is how quickly you can bring a website to life with great quality and aesthetics. The platform provides powerful tools for visually designing complex layouts, making it easy to create impressive sites without heavy coding. When you need to go further, custom code options are available so you can push the boundaries even more. If you already have good HTML and CSS knowledge, you can pretty much build anything you imagine. Webflow gives you a lot of flexibility and creative freedom Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

Honestly, I don’t have any negative points to mention. My experience with Webflow has been very positive overall Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great tool that with few minor issues. I definitely recommend it!"
What do you like best about Webflow?

Webflow is a fantastic web design tool that combines power and ease of use. If you want complete control, a strong content management system, and hassle-free hosting all in one place, it's tough to find a better option. Just remember, if you need priority support or advanced features for your team, you'll have to budget for a paid plan. I use it daily, and it's super easy to build websites, integrate features, and host your site. Plus, if you run into any issues, their customer support team is really helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

I think it's a bit pricier than other tools out there. New users might find it a little tricky to start because there’s a bit of a learning curve, making it not the easiest to implement. Also, having live support would really help improve customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Build responsive, CMS websites using its visual design, interact, and hosting for fast results."
What do you like best about Webflow?

What I like best about Webflow is how it seamlessly combines design, development, and content management into a single platform. It allows me to bring ideas to life visually, with full control over layout, animations, and responsiveness—without relying on external developers or writing complex code. The built-in CMS is powerful yet easy to use, making it perfect for dynamic content like blogs or portfolios. Plus, Webflow’s reliable hosting and fast publishing workflow make launching and maintaining websites incredibly efficient. It’s a game-changer for creative professionals who want both freedom and precision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

Honestly, there’s nothing I dislike about Webflow. It’s a well-rounded platform that gives full creative control, from design to development to hosting. Any limitations can usually be solved with smart workarounds or third-party integrations, which makes it incredibly flexible for almost any project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use for beginners with the depth and flexibility required for seasoned developers"
What do you like best about Webflow?

Webflow makes web design and development surprisingly easy without sacrificing the depth and features required to satisfy developers looking to create something totally custom. That level of ease for beginners or people without coding knowledge comes in large part from their expansive catalogue of detailed tutorials covering virtually everything you would want to do (and some things you might not have thought of doing).

Every website we've done using Webflow has impressed our clients and exceeded both their expectations and our own. Unlike some other platforms, it really seems like the biggest limit is your own imagination. As cliché as that sounds, for our purposes and our clients, that has proven to be true.

As well, the different roles Webflow allows you to set ensures you can have different people working at different levels within the site, and give clients access to make edits and updates on their own without any worry over whether they'll "break" something or get into a situation where they're confused over what they're supposed to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

I highly recommend starting with the tutorials before jumping in, as trying to approach Webflow like some of the drag-and-drop block builders can make it feel complicated and intimidating at the start. There are certain ways of setting things up and building things out that aren't entirely intuitive, and the number of ways you can create something (and what you can create) can feel overwhelming. Everything right down to the naming conventions you pick for certain elements can have an adverse affect down the road if you arent already aware of how everything works.

But this is the price for having a builder with this much depth, and with the tutorials (and a bit of trial and error) most of these things become quite easy. It's certainly not the platform for you if you want to just jump in and put something up in an hour or two without any prior knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
