"Intuitive Design, Efficient Workflow with Webflow"
What do you like best about Webflow?

I really like the controls in Webflow because they make managing CSS rules much easier for me. The Flex Grid feature is particularly helpful since I don't use grid layouts often, and I tend to forget the rules. Webflow provides all the options right in front of me in the toolbar, which is incredibly convenient and speeds up my workflow significantly. This accessibility is very helpful, allowing me to quickly use features and tools without having to remember every detail. Webflow acts as a bridge between manually coding and using more visual tools, which is fantastic for getting into the granular aspects of web design. It's a great product overall, as it simplifies the process of creating specific website features that might otherwise require manual coding. I appreciate how easy the initial setup was, which made transitioning to the platform straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

I initially faced challenges with Webflow's inability to open multiple pages simultaneously or have more than one person working on a project at the same time. This limitation hindered collaborative efforts and multitasking capabilities, although this issue appears to have been resolved recently. Additionally, while Webflow offers great granular control, in certain projects, I find myself thinking that WordPress could have been a more efficient option, suggesting that Webflow's advantages might not be universally applicable across all project types. "Scalable, Collaborative, and Effortlessly Flexible"
What do you like best about Webflow?

Webflow distinguishes itself with its scalability and collaborative capabilities. It enables our teams to collaborate smoothly, making it easy to manage dynamic content using Collections. This level of flexibility means that as projects expand, the platform evolves alongside them, maintaining both efficiency and control over design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

While Webflow is an excellent platform overall, I find that the legacy editor could offer more features for users with restricted access. It is missing some of the intuitive tools and flexibility available in the main Designer, which makes it more challenging for those without full permissions to update content efficiently. "Enhanced Web Design with Powerful Features"
What do you like best about Webflow?

I use Webflow for building and maintaining websites for both clients and my own portfolio. Webflow's ability to create production-ready websites efficiently is invaluable to me as a developer with a design background. I love having complete design freedom and control in a single environment without switching between different tools. The live preview feature is fantastic; it allows me to see changes instantly, which is incredibly useful for someone who is visually oriented. Webflow's capability to build complex interactions and animations without requiring JavaScript is a huge plus, as it simplifies my workflow. The GSAP integration is a game-changer, significantly easing the process of creating animations without dealing with codebase intricacies. The App Gen feature excites me as it promises to save me substantial time by allowing app development within Webflow itself. This integration means I spend less time juggling between platforms and more time focusing on development without external integrations. Adjusting interactions like timing, ease curves, and stagger elements is efficient and straightforward, enhancing my productivity immensely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

I have faced challenges with the CMS in Webflow. There are limitations like only displaying 20 CMS items per page and nested collections being limited to 5 items. Additionally, creating deeper relational structures requires external tools, and complex filtering, dynamic sorting, multi-level relationships, and app-like features often demand custom code or third-party plugins. Also, although the learning curve isn't steep, Webflow is not super beginner-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowered Our Marketing with Minimal Tech Dependency"
What do you like best about Webflow?

I appreciate Webflow's ability to let our marketing team update and publish pages independently from engineers, which significantly speeds up our process and helps unblock campaigns. Its ease of use in building and updating pages without requiring coding skills allows more team members to engage with the tool, streamlining our go-to-market efforts. Moreover, I find the consistency that Webflow provides in terms of layouts, components, and branding incredibly valuable, as it ensures that new pages align with our established look regardless of who creates them. The differentiation between the CMS function and the Build function is another standout feature, as it helps maintain control and manage user access effectively. What do you dislike about Webflow?

I find Webflow's navigation fairly difficult to manage, particularly as our projects scale. The left-side navigation tends to feel cluttered, making it challenging to maintain efficiency. Additionally, the limitation of having only one builder or designer logged in at a time is frustrating, as it sometimes slows down our progress. The search functionality is fragmented, which complicates finding components, classes, and pages easily. A global search feature would significantly enhance usability. Furthermore, the style panel can become disorganized, reducing overall productivity. The administrative side is also problematic; managing users and comprehending their access permissions seem disjointed and could be more intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Full design freedome"
What do you like best about Webflow?

Webflow stands out for its design freedom, clean code, and ease of content management. Qualities we at Solans, a Norwegian web agency specialising in Webflow sites, storytelling, and inbound marketing, value highly. Webflow's strengths in fast publishing, integrated hosting, built-in SEO, and minimal maintenance all let us focus on creating tailored, high-performing websites for our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

On the downside, Webflow’s e-commerce offering is better suited for smaller catalogues, lacks some Nordic payment options like Vipps without third-party integrations, and its subscription model can become costly for larger projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Platform but Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Webflow?

I love Webflow for its combination of tools that simplify the web-building process. The CMS section is particularly intuitive and easy to use, enhancing my ability to manage content efficiently without the need for coding or worrying about syntax errors. The platform's no-code environment allows for seamless transitions from design in Figma directly to Webflow development, which is incredibly efficient. I find the speed at which Webflow operates impressive, even with over 5000 pages hosted on it; it keeps both the platform and our website running super-fast, saving me significant time and reducing the need for excessive revisions. This efficiency makes it possible for my small business to publish new pages and blogs daily, with different team members seamlessly taking on various responsibilities. The sleek design interface also stands out as a beneficial feature, improving over time to become more user-friendly, and the introduction of automatic saving in drafts has notably diminished the prior frustrations of lost work. Overall, Webflow's capacity to handle large-scale operations smoothly and facilitate quick, effective team collaboration is what I find especially valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

I have several challenges with Webflow. Firstly, uploading images is problematic; even when images are fully optimized in terms of size and dimensions, they still take a long time to upload and impact page speed after being published. Additionally, Webflow lacks a straightforward image compression tool, or if there is one, it's too complex to use. Another issue is the accessibility of images added in CMS collections—they are only accessible from the individual items they were added to. Given that we have over 3,000 pages in CMS, identifying specific images needing optimization during a site audit is extremely time-consuming without an asset folder to manage them. Lastly, although Webflow is great for medium to large businesses due to its capabilities, the platform is still complicated to use, especially for newcomers. Even after a year of usage, I still find the navigation and finding specific tools challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The obvious choice for nearly all marketing websites."
What do you like best about Webflow?

As a developer, I have built my entire web business off of Webflow. Former WordPress clients love it, and nobody is asking me for custom builds anyway. Webflow really has everything the typical client needs.

From a features perspective, Webflow offers many advantages over the major alternatives (WordPress or custom builds):

— Your entire tech stack in one place, ie. site hosting, SEO, SSL, backups, etc.

— Exceptional security features

— As close to custom coding as you can get while still using a reliable site platform.

— An extremely customizable CMS

— No reliance of plugins that can deprecate

— Non-open source, there's only one Webflow that is always up-to-date

— Massive community with lots of resources

— So easy to spin up new sites and expand them over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

— The CMS should be totally headless. I should be able to make different dynamic templated pages off of a single Collection. Right now each Collection can only have one dynamic templated page type.

— There should be component slots on Collection pages. Ie. if my client wants to build custom case study pages but I want them to appear in a Collection-powered list in multiple spots across the site, the base Collection page can't accommodate that.

— We should be able to remove/re-order classes from the middle of a string of classes. It's pretty weird and annoying that we can't.

— It would be nice to just have a text editor at this point. The GUI is fine but unnecessary since I'm sure it's mostly real developers using Webflow to actually build these days.

— We should be able to see and manage all the CSS on the site in a text editor. Having to add an element to a page, give it a class, then change to the right breakpoint to update the class at that breakpoint is a bit of a nightmare (it's so bad that I just have a global embed for all non-desktop class code). "Easy Page Design, But Performance Issues"
What do you like best about Webflow?

I love how straightforward Webflow is when it comes to the user experience. Even if I am not familiar with the Webflow interface or layout, I can just jump in and know what to do. This intuitive design really simplifies the learning curve and allows me to focus on the substance of my projects rather than struggling with the tool itself. The variables feature is particularly valuable for me, as it makes life much easier by creating a robust system of classes throughout all the breakpoints. This functionality is a huge time saver and enhances the overall workflow. Additionally, the initial setup of Webflow was super easy, which made starting new projects far less daunting. The CMS also works pretty well, especially for standard content, although it can get a bit laggy with extended content. Overall, these aspects contribute greatly to the ease and efficiency of designing complex pages in a relatively short amount of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

I find Webflow's overall performance, particularly with the designer and CMS modules, to be problematic on larger projects. The performance issues include frequent loading problems, lagging, stuttering, and slow responsiveness, which hinder quick actions. Additionally, while Webflow is convenient for simple static projects, it lacks modules necessary for full-scale projects involving backend and e-commerce options, which is a significant limitation for my needs. "Effortless Website Building, But Integration Challenges"
What do you like best about Webflow?

I truly appreciate Webflow's ease of use, especially its drag-and-drop functionality, which simplifies the process of creating a website without the need for manual coding. This feature significantly reduces the complexity typically associated with website development and allows me to focus more on the design and content rather than the underlying code. The user experience is excellent, with the platform being very explanatory, providing clear guidance and a seamless interaction process. Additionally, the onboarding experience is remarkable, making the initial setup incredibly easy, which speaks to the thoughtfulness Webflow has put into user education and support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

I found the integration part of Webflow a bit confusing, especially when trying to connect it with automation platforms like Make.com. Initially, I struggled with integrating webhooks as I couldn't find where they were located within the platform. It required some research to figure out, and I wish it could be more straightforward, so it's readily accessible without much hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy no-code solution for creatives"
What do you like best about Webflow?

What I like most about Webflow is how powerful and intuitive its no-code system is. It bridges the gap between design and development, allowing me to build professional-grade websites without deep coding knowledge. Since migrating our entire platform to Webflow on the enterprise plan, I’ve found it to be a truly scalable and efficient solution for our company. The component and class systems make managing styles and layouts consistent once you get the hang of them, and the learning curve is well worth it. I also really appreciate the “Webflow University” resources — the tutorials and guides are clear, engaging, and help accelerate the learning process. Overall, Webflow has helped me expand my skill set far beyond what I could do with Wix, Squarespace, or other builders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

One limitation I’ve encountered is that only one user can have design control at a time. For teams working collaboratively on larger projects, this can slow things down and make simultaneous design updates challenging. While Webflow excels in functionality and design flexibility, enhancing collaborative design permissions would make it an even stronger enterprise tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
