## Webflow Reviews
 ### 1. The only web design and production platform that does everything

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph N. | President and Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

I don't even know where to start. After trying other platforms such as Square Space, WordPress, Wix, and Go central, there is no question on my mind that Webflow has always worked better for me. I love the way it helps me create fully responsive sites for my clients, with the ability for me to offer customer editing/management, built in, database functionality, and virtually any interactions and animations I can imagine -- all under one comprehensive universe. I also love how easily I can put my work on a staging environment, then publish live quickly and easily, after my clients' approval. Webflow makes the platform intuitive, and has a remarkable number of training videos and documentation available. It also seems like the platform improves every month. There is so much more I keep discovering every time I work on a project.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

I only wish Webflow would offer an easier way to get creative firm discounts. Right now "certification" is the only way I can see, and that has been difficult for me -- I always JUST miss a passing grade, and never have the time to focus, study, and retake the certification tests.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything under one roof, and the ease at which I can manage site updates. No plug-ins that have to be updated every time WordPress is updated, and clean, intuitive experience.

 ### 2. Webflow is great!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

I enjoy how much control is given to the developer. It truly is visual development, where many other platforms feel like template builders with little customization or control given to the user.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

Many foundational development workflows are locked up in the Enterprise tier.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to create custom-design websites with much of the infrastructure/groundwork done for me already.

 ### 3. Expensive web builder with no seamless collaboration

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

Webflow has advanced features in terms of design and customization.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

- Webflow doesn't have tables in rich text CMS, it slows down my workflow.
- Confusing pricing plan (even my client always get confused with the plan), why do you guys put custom code feature in workspace plan instead of site plan, I need to subscribe to the core workspace plan only in order to get the custom code feature.
- Expensive seat without seamless collaboration, $45 per designer seat but only 1 person can get the design control at a time, really? What's the point of adding a seat. Even if you have a marketer seat you can't use any plugin or adding custom code for implementing schema markup for SEO purposes.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webflow has helped us to build our website, we have migrated our website from WordPress to WebFlow

**Official Response from Carissa Mallory:**

> Hi there, Carissa here from Webflow’s customer marketing team. We’re sorry to hear that your Webflow experience hasn’t matched your expectations, especially around pricing clarity and collaboration. Feedback like this helps us prioritize improvements so we appreciate you sharing and hope we get the opportunity to make things right in the future!

One downside is the website crashes. Definitely an obstacle for sensitive content.

My main function is website updates & blog publishing. Solving the problem of time- doesn't take very long to publish something.

 ### 5. The Best No-Code Website Builder Ever

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

Webflow is easy to use or understand for everyone also for fresher , webflow interface is good , Webflow’s interactions and animations help me create stunning.

Sometimes Changes doesn't happen quickly, so you have to reload the webflow. and also sometimes shows a "some thing went wrong " error.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean P. | Marketing Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

The ability to use the platform to produce high-quality web experiences in an interface that supports designers + developers.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

Webflow is innovating quickly and producing advanced features — unfortunately they have struggles to identify pricing that supports the spectrum of users that use the platform. Because of this, smaller users see it as expensive, and larger enterprise users see it as expensive as well. Somewhere in the middle, people get the most value.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing me to produce high quality web experiences (both for myself and other organizations) that prioritize both quality and speed. Because of Webflow, I create better websites, more quickly the before.

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

The one thing I like about Webflow the most is that its always evolving. As a company, they keep their ears open and making the product more robust for Website design & development.

There is a learning curve for Webflow, but once you have learnt what is what, it becomes very easy to design & develop Websites.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

The learning curve is steep but once you get into it you can create miracles in Webflow. There is no website (almost) you are not able to recreate. Don't think of Webflow as an ordinary website builder. It's so much more. Possibilities for customization are countless. Maintenance is super low. My clients are always in control of assets and copy, and they are happy to be in charge. Marketing people I work with can't imagine how they would go back when their websites were hardcoded or in WordPress.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

Webflow will never be my first choice for e-commerce as of now. It's simply not there yet. But for corporate or personal websites Webflow is great.

**Recommendations to others considering Webflow:**

You should consider Webflow if you need a website with an easy-to-use content management system, customizable, flexible, performing well. If you have zero knowledge about HTML and CSS it will be challenging to set up everything from scratch or even a template. Consider receiving a help of web specialist. But once you launch content management, editing and styling will be easy.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webflow helps me to create beautiful and fully functional websites fast with low maintenance requirements in the future.

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

The layers panel is easier to navigate through, but collections and everything else about it is so frustrating.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

Almost everything else. It isn’t very easy to use, it’s hard to make sure everything is adjusted correctly, you have to publish EVERYTHING at the same time when you hit publish, not one page at a time or certain changes at a time, it is not a good user experience.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a website for a client my agency services.

Great tool with lots of flexibility. I love how much I can do with it without having to write any code.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

Even though I don’t have to write code, it’s still pretty complex to use. It’s not an easy drag and drop, but the CMS can help for client handoff.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With webflow, it’s just so much easier to build completely custom web experiences. Other tools are too rigid in their options and overriding them requires coding.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Need to improve the Ecommerce website uses and also need to work with mobile application.

 ### 36. Great Animations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed T. | Growth Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

easy animations, intuitive cms platform, easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

There is nothing I dislike about webflow.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using wordpress previously, which wasnt helping us, so we migrated to Webflow

 ### 37. Nice for enterprise

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush S. | founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

still the easiest and most scalable web platform for startups to early enterprise

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

They stopped giving a shit about smaller customers, UI/X is not evolving, etc

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

all our websites are still on webflow

 ### 38. Webflow Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nolan T. | Website Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

How easy it is to create the website without knowing code

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

Sometimes, we have localization issue with Webflow

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a marketing team with a few people on the team. There is only 1 developer in the team, the rest of the team doesn't know about code. But by changing to Webflow, now most of our team can manage our website

 ### 39. Webflow as a freelancer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David T. | freelance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

I like to be able to understand the topic of animations in a more graphic way, which sometimes becomes so difficult.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

sometimes certain components have problems and everything restarts

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, I am working as a freelancer, as I really want to make the dream of creating a digital agency where everything at the core is Webflow a reality.

 ### 40. Full time webflow developer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

The simplicity, the feeling of being a web wizard, the helpful community, frequent updates, and fast development.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

The new pricing system has become too expensive. New features require payment. Some. old issues and limitations are not being fixed. Getting started with API integrations is not easy, as the guidelines could be more beginner-friendly. At times, the platform feels overloaded, leading to glitches and bugs.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves a lot of time. Content management and site transfers to clients are smooth. Learning new skills is easy, thanks to a big, active community and awesome guides from the team.

 ### 41. This is an extremely user friendly tool with a few limitations on the back end

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katryn C. | Vice President Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

For those on our team with less experience in a CMS or who have basic templated needs for design, this is hard to beat.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

More refined, specific functionality, from back end demand-generating tools to animations reflective of specific brand tonality, there are limitations to Webflow's flexibility.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has been a relatively simple platform to facilitate a single tooling solution for both landing pages for our customers/clients' campaigns and our own B2B directives.

 ### 42. Webflow is hands down the best way to build websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

Webflow makes building and maintaining beautiful, scalable websites something that a single person can do in weeks rather than requiring teams of engineers and designers.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

The only downside of Webflow is that there is a bit of a learning curve that can take a few weeks, but once you learn it, it's like having super powers.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webflow is the tool we use to build and manage our website. This includes dozens of highly customized pages with plenty of interactions and fancy designs. We also use it (in combination with Whalesync) to create hundreds of programmatic SEO pages.

 ### 43. Webflow is efficient and easy to use with no need to figure out cumbersome plugins.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

I love how the designer interface is a very simplistic translation of writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

I feel like Webflow is not a sustainable platform for one time users looking to make a nice portfolio website.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webflow is a better alternative to using WordPress. I work for an advertising agency as a website designer and developer, and WordPress has caused me many headaches with clients because of its' sometimes unreliable plugins. Webflow cuts out the need to rely on excessive plugins and add ons.

 ### 44. Great support and smooth implementation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olga M. | Designer & Brand Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

No coding required - easy enough for a marketer.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

The platform offers a lot and it's easy to "break" things.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One-stop shop for all corporate website needs.

 ### 45. An increasingly powerful tool for visual web design that also improves your coding skill

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oliver H. | Owner/Designer/Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

Webflow has the best GUI web development interface I've used. It's fantastic for rapid visual iteration, has built-in staging hosts, produces remarkably clean code, and can export code for further modification and hosting elsewhere.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

I dislike the reverse CSS cascade from desktop down to mobile (and the inability to customize that). A number of the features don't work without Webflow hosting, which is limiting. I wish there was more opportunity to edit the code on hosted projects (vs exporting to edit). Options to publish directly to a GIT repository would be amazing.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There's no faster way I know to convert existing UI/wireframes to code. I'm able to rapidly explore interface/design options well beyond what tools like XD or Sketch can do. I use Webflow's symbols to store and manage larger chunks of customized content. Their "collections" is a good basic database with easy import from .csv and similar exchange formats. Webflow has some very nice interactions and enables a number of scroll-triggered animations, lottie, and other rich interaction types.

 ### 46. Built and manage over 15 Webflow sites for a non-profit organization.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica L. | Web Design & Digital Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

Webflow's user interface and ease of use is what makes it great. As a front-end developer who has used various website builders, I don't experience the limitations I have in the past. The ability to connect and integrate with various platforms is what makes it truly unique and robust. I can easily create a simple website or a large intricate website with various integrations, it's all customizable and flexible.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

I honestly can't think of anything. I haven't came across a limitation of Webflow or the inability to do something. At least not yet!

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our websites were hosted on Drupal and each time I needed to make a structural change, I had to submit a ticket to an outsourced Drupal developer. This cost a lot of money and time for the change. By switching to Webflow, I am able to cut out the developer and make all changes myself, all while saving the company a lot of money. By doing this, I have been able to cut down production timelines from 2 months to 2 weeks.

 ### 47. Better, faster, smarter way to build and maintain our sites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

As a Senior Designer and Platform Admin, I've really enjoyed working in Webflow the last several years. The design interface is super user-friendly, easy to drag and drop elements and build custom components without getting bogged down in code. The ability to use global libraries for components and styles as well as using 3rd party pre-built elements has streamlined our processes and allows my team to deliver faster and better. What gets me really excited about Webflow is how they are always looking to innovate with new tools and features. The evolution of Webflow from when I started using it to today is amazing and I can't wait to see what's next.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

Ok so in all farness, a little more access to the back end code like direct access to the CSS to edit would be great.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Delivery of new pages and sites faster and eaiser as well as the ability to assign user roles that can do direct editing to their own content and allowing my team to concentrate more on bigger things.

 ### 48. Very intuitive for experienced designers/developers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

I like that 95% of the time that I've thought of an interesting CSS trick, I can do that trick through Webflow's interface. I would say there is nothing that I've needed to do to a website that I can't easily figure out how to do in Webflow. The university is great, and I highly recommend the tutorial course for learning this platform.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

The price, and the fact that you have to pay two different prices for your account and your site. I can't imagine how it would be if I had to manage multiple sites on here, but probably extremely expensive!

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building a modern website is extremely complicated, considering not only what's on the page, but considering responsiveness, A11y, SEO, page speed, etc... All of these things can be managed from one spot, and that is Webflow, so that makes my job much much easier.

 ### 49. Super tool to implement individual design quickly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phillip P. | Senior Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

That you have full access to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It's as if you are programming a page yourself, but you have the advantage of being much faster through the Visual Builder.

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

Sometimes I miss backend functionalities, like sending an API call that requires a token. It would be cool to have server functions directly in Webflow.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast building of websites. I can deliver results quickly.

 ### 50. The base product is very good, but Webflow often doesn't think things through enough.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** BTC M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Webflow?**

For context: We use Webflow daily in our agency and we work with Webflow since 5+ years.

- The base product (I call it "visual coding") is a huge time saver
- Components
- page building (not in the current state though..)
- Simplicity of hosting sites
- Community (the Forum, Finsweet, etc.)

**What do you dislike about Webflow?**

- Components have no support for background videos and lottie files in the properties
- Page building is not thought through yet:
 - In Build mode there is no option to add links to a navigation (neither automatically, nor manually). This means that the clients of our agency can build new pages now with Build mode but they still have to call us to add a link to the navigation.
 - In Build mode its not possible to add Components into Component Slots
- For us as an agency, the workflow for handling clients and client projects is messy and not thought through. If I want to give the client simple access to the Build mode, my client would have to create an account and I would have to transfer the project over to his account. Then he would need to invite me back into his workspace. And even then: The client has way too much power and possibilities to break the site, because he is the administrator of the Workspace.
It would be much better if we could invite our clients to Build mode like we can invite them to the old Editor. It would keep it very simple and the client only gets to see what he needs.
- No native CMS slider
- [Bug] All Images inside grids that dont have fixed width in pixels always load the lowest resolution version of the srcset.

**What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webflow enables us as a Branding Agency to develop Websites inhouse instead of handing over the Webdesign to an external programmer.
