I still love the customization ability of webflow over square space, and in certain cases over Wordpress. I have a bit more understanding of what it takes to set up a Wordpress site, but prefer the ability to choose a template in webflow and have a nearly finished page to start with. I like how customizable everything in Webflow is. You can create your own custom elements and pieces to use across the entire site. The CMS is also very nice, allowing your team or clients to update or add blogs and articles without touching the Frontend or code. Webflow's design software is more than just drag-and-drop; you can create global styles for uniformity and easy updates. I also appreciate the ability to update the entire site with just a couple of clicks if there are color changes. Overall, it's a robust, clean system once you learn to use it properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Webflow? Sometimes the backend can get a little buggy causing the need to refresh your browser. Another issue is when you are using custom code or styles, if there is an error somewhere the publisher doesn't tell you where the error is. It would be nice to be able to add users that can just update the CMS so that I don't have to pay for more users every month. There was a slight learning curve in not treating Webflow like Elementor, but you had to focus more on the CSS styling and naming of objects and div's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I really like the workflow in Webflow, which is something in between coding and design. It's not for beginners, but it's pretty user-friendly. I like that it's possible to integrate with AI tools like Coursework and cloud services, and make changes in design. I also appreciate that I can change the code manually. It's not a beginner application, which means it's not that easy to use for someone new, even though it's pretty user-friendly once you get used to it. Webflow gives full design freedom with clean code output, responsive control, and fast publishing. The CMS structure is flexible enough for complex, multilingual, content-driven projects. I use it as a front-end layer for iGlowly.com - a fully dynamic platform, and its integration with custom code, attributes, and external APIs makes it a powerful UI engine without touching React or Vue. They are well done, but.... The 100-item CMS limit is still restrictive, especially when working with filtered lists or complex relationships. Too many wrapper divs are auto-inserted in collection-based elements, which bloats the DOM. Native filtering and sorting should be inbuilt — not reliant on third-party scripts or hacks. Webflow lets me build a fast, scalable, and multilingual front-end for iGlowly without relying on heavy frameworks. It solves key pain points: design control, speed of execution, clean responsive output, and structured content management at scale. Combined with Supabase, it becomes a dynamic UI layer powered by external data. Performance is very good out of the box, and SEO fundamentals (clean markup, canonical control, alt tags, hreflang, etc.) are all in place. The CMS is flexible enough to handle our complex structure — regions, cities, clinics, surgeons, treatments etc in my case — and allows rapid page generation with full visual consistency. The visual design interface is excellent, and writing HTML & CSS is remarkably pleasant and intuitive. It's an outstanding product for low-level web developers to learn about working with HTML and CSS design systems. The webhooks feature is great, and the flexibility with custom properties and attributes makes it very easy to integrate custom code. Overall, it's a really great tool for both learning and creating marketing sites. Customer support is great, as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Webflow? I really dislike the arbitrary CMS limits, such as the 60 max CMS fields and 10 max reference fields per collection. No srcsets for CMS images is really painful as well and seriously can hurt performance. Setting up multi-reference CMS structures for any CMS page with more than basic complexity is frustrating and unintuitive for clients to work with—it's even embarrassing to document sometimes. I've had to refactor multiple sites multiple times to accommodate more features because of these limits, and builds become very unwieldy as a result. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Webflow makes building and deploying well-designed websites incredibly easy—translating a Figma design to a pixel-perfect implementation is as easy as cake. Website uptime is significantly more reliable than other hosting platforms. Clients really appreciate full component builds and using the guardrailed Build mode to edit their sites and build pages themselves. Webflow actually started my career as a web developer and opened doors for me to traditional web development. The way to connect various collections together in Webflow is clunky. We have 3 separate CMS collections that all need to relate to each other, and it's not easy to connect them all without having to enter the same content in multiple places. I miss how easy it is to reorder things in Wordpress. In Webflow, I have to use weird hacks like putting a number field to adjust the order of items in a collection.
