I like that WebAssign provides various course assignments on a selection of course-relevant topics that I can assign for students. What do you dislike about WebAssign? I dislike that assignments can't be customized. Sometimes a single question is not relevant to our course or students, and I'd like to remove it and keep the rest of the assignment, but this is not yet possible. WebAssign makes grading and learning completely transparent. It allows both students and faulty to see their improvements and where they need to improve, and is incredibly helpful for end-of-semester grading and communication with TA's and tutors. Please consider making sure you have a reliable internal IT department, it is difficult to obtain help from the WebAssign support, and it is incredibly important that a reliable IT company is on board. The site includes textbook questions that teachers can choose and assign to student. It's great for distance learning and assigning virtual assignments. As students, you have to pay to access the homework, and the subscription isn't permanent (meaning you have to keep renewing). In other words, it's kind of pay-by-semester, which for students, obviously, can be costly or not ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering WebAssign: Price is sort of expensive; so be wary of costs up front and for renewal later. Instantly assign homework questions to students (as instructors); for students, instantly access and answer homework questions assigned. As an administrator/instructor, Webassign is easy to use. It is easy to track the student process and view their scores. The wide variety of available content makes it good for every discipline. Webassign has decided to make their codes as cloudy and hard-to-use as possible. Some codes work for different products and only those products, other codes work for a wider range of items. In brief, instructors create assignments online within WebAssign and electronically transmit them to their class. As an instructor I recommend it but from a students viewpoint, I do not recommend it. It gives you options to choose the problems you want.
