A affordable chat tool with lots of potentials **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Wayne W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024 **What do you like best about Weavy?** - Weavy is pretty chep compared to other chat platforms - the UI for chats and messengers is nice and customizable - setting up Weavy is straightforward - supports lots of JS-framworks - great, fast and powerfull API - Integration with AI - webhooks work seamlessly And not to forget, they also provide great customer support and also nice suggestions in Discord. **What do you dislike about Weavy?** - Weavy's documentation can be confusing and occasionally inaccurate, especially regarding features like there's no uid' in the conversations, etc... - the distinction between chats, apps, messengers, and conversations is unclear, making it challenging to understand their intended use - no user-roles-management to control actions like creating new chats or adding users to apps. - storage usage seems disproportionate to message volume. Clearer information on storage calculations would be helpful - no out-of the-box support for multiple languages - It's not possible to change the organization name on invoices. It would be nice of you to provide several real-world-usecase examples for how to use Weavy with all those apps and features you provide and how the work together. Many things I haven't tried out yet, like Posts and Files, but they might be a great fit for the user's project. Maybe also some demos for those usecases. **What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?** User in our platform can get in contact with each other without sharing their phone or email ### 2. The implementation was easy and straightforward without any complications as we integrated it into our application. The staff from weavy was very helpful and helped us in every step. **What do you dislike about Weavy?** The documentation could be a little more refined and if the staff wouldn´t have been so helpful, the implementation would have been way more complicated. **What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?** To be able for our users to inteact and engage with each other using an easy to use and failproof chat. ### 3. We needed the ability to add a chat function to our app, and were able to leverage Weavy to complete this quickly. This was a huge departure from the experience we had previously had with Sendbird, and because utilizing Weavy was so simple, the product team was able to focus on other core features that required attention. With only a bit of work, we were able to customize the chat the way we needed to, and when we needed assistance, we had a very responsive support team. The Zoom integration to send meeting links in the chat is especially great, and has simplified our process greatly. **What do you dislike about Weavy?** Though easy to implement, the documentation is sometimes lacking and the customization we needed did require understanding of CSS. Having expanded documentation would be great. **What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our app was lacking a chat function for our customers, but we didn't have the time or resources to devote a huge chunk of time to be able to handle without another resource. Weavy helped us get the chat implemented quickly, and we've had many customers comment on their happiness not only that the chat funciton exists now, but that it is also seamlessly integrated into our site. ### 4. It added instant chat between our users and our back office. **What do you dislike about Weavy?** For us a startup the only negative thing is the price level of a paid tier. **What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Weavy chat sdk created, in our test environment so far, a direct channel of communication between or users and our back office staff. We've taken it into account and have updated the cost of our paid version to be extremely competitive with the competition. All paid versions are now priced at $0.09/monthly engaged user. Just what we needed, when we needed it. **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Mammad Y. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2022 **What do you like best about Weavy?** We bridge the gap between physical and digital workspace in the wake of everyone working from home, and increasingly our users were asking for productivity features in our app - and thankfully we found Weavy that helped us to add chat, feeds, file sharing, notifications, and more - and we can get it done in no time with few resources. **What do you dislike about Weavy?** We need native components for our mobile experience in React Native, but we know it’s in the works and released soon. **What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our users want to get everything done within the app, and thanks to the features Weavy is adding on top of our own we’re truly delivering on that. Easy to Integrate, and simplified UI- one of the best in the market **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Arjun R. | Associate Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021 **What do you like best about Weavy?** -> Weavy contains one of the well-written documentation. ->Embedding features into the web app is super easy, one or two lines of code will do the trick. ->The entire data is on the server-side itself, so it is safe. -> Weavy chat is free to use. -> Simplified and easy to use UI **What do you dislike about Weavy?** -> the integration is not supported on android SDK. -> Server-side modification can be made simpler. -> Weavy UI is great, but more customization options to the UI will enhance the experience. **What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Weavy chat has been an essential feature in providing an end-to-end chat application in my project.I have used Weavy for building two web apps during the last 2 years, and I find integrating Weavy into your app is the easiest part. The services provided are simpler and much safer as the data belongs to the user and are on the client-side itself. That being said, they offer integration only to selected technologies (at the time of this writing). The UI is the fundamental part of the Weavy experience, as it provides a fresh and simpler look to your web app. **Official Response from Rickard Hansson:** > Great feedback, thanks!! Onboarding support for environment setup and initial usage is awesome! It works nicely out-of-the-box. **What do you dislike about Weavy?** Some of the documentation is out of date. Difficult to customize simple things like CSS. Some of the error messages coming from the API are cryptic. **What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Weavy to enable collaboration for private networks. Weavy allows our social platform to encapsulate separate messaging, document sharing, and feeds for each private network that our users build. **Official Response from Rickard Hansson:** > That's exactly what we're aiming for - out-of-the-box - happy to see that!
