"Easy and Fun!"

What do you like best about Waymark?

I like that it gives a potential client the ability to see their company on video. Waymark is a very efficiant tool to use and overall im impressed. Adding the ability to put the URL instead of the company name was a huge upgrade and makes finding the company a lot easier. I alsp enjoy the variety of voice overs to choose from. I see the changes Waymark has been doing to improve and it has been helping a lot with making videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Waymark?

Wayamrk can be tricky to make certain tweaks. Something ive noticed is the color option can be confusing. It would be helpful if the colors were not linked across the entire video. Sometimes I would like to change one color on a slide but the color is linked to multiple slides makes it impossible to adjust the one color.

Waymark could use more variety of stock photos, there is a limitation when it comes to my search. For example, ive searched "construction" and not much will come up.

I think it would be really nice if we could have the option to remove text boxes if we did not want to put text in the box. I realize its part of the template but its just a thought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and easy to use"

What do you like best about Waymark?

I found the software easy to use and intuitive. I've been an editor for 10+ years. Within 30 minutes of playing around, I made a commercial that could be presented to future clients. I really appreciate how quickly it collects useful elements- logos, website photos. This could be a great tool for bringing in new businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Waymark?

So far biggest issue has been this:

In my opinion, the “global logo” needs to be broken up into 2 separate elements that can be controlled individually. Controls for the logo that is on the bottom corner of the screen throughout, and controls for the logo on the end/open screen. I often use a white logo for the majority of a spot (because it shows up better over multiple backgrounds/video) and use a color or darker logo for the end screen. What problems is Waymark solving and how is that benefiting you?

I consider the tip about the ColorZilla extention a huge help! Thank you for that! I primarily create promos for my local news station. I enjoy learning new software so I requested to try Waymark out even though it might not directly apply for my daily use. Working on the news side of things, I feel I won't be using this day to day like someone on the commercial side could. This mostly comes down to needing current and authentic footage from our real news anchors. I do not see a way to utilize Waymark for that aspect when from the "news perspective" we need to be more authentic than ever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do wish there was more flexibility with being able to manipulate the templates a bit. Sometimes there are graphics, etc that I would like to get rid of. Some templates are hard to edit on obvious points (Ex making the phone number more noticeable at the end-on some cases-not). But it is an excellent software that is easy to practice and get professional on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Waymark has opened a door of opportunities for me to show potential advertisers an idea come to life in as easy as 30 mins! Introduce myself with already ideas and start the conversation, make adjustments, a couple of versions if necessary, etc. but at the end of the day give potential clients a different perspective that is so easy to create, we do everything from writing the script to gathering the information to voice it, very professionally, and highly fast-then close the deal! Close the first time deal the same day I used Waymark for the first time. Copy the TV ad preview and visit a prospect. She saw it and loved it! I wish the templates were more intuitive and could show you examples of how your assets would look in a template. Play with it and make many options of a spot to get used to Waymark. Don't stop with one template; try multiple and don't get hung up on a specific template. Don't force yourself into a box; choose the images and video based on your template, more than choosing the video and pictures first. It makes it harder to get the right flow for your spot.
