Restrictions when it comes to lower 3rd in some of the templates. Several times I have tried to just finish a spot with just the Vpoce Over or just the music. I follow the on screen directions but everytime it defaults to mixed audio with voice and music. The new AI is by far a unique and innovative feature, and I love creating commercials with it. My clients are amazed by the quality and how professional the final product is. **What do you dislike about Waymark?** I would say "dislike" is a strong word to use; the word I would replace it with is improve. What I would like to see improved would be the categories; they can always be expanded upon. Maybe even a blank canvas that you can build from scratch would be amazing. Also, as awesome as the AI is the voice-over is not flawless and sometimes requires tweaking of the script in order for the voice-over to pronounce things correctly. **Recommendations to others considering Waymark:** If you have not checked out this amazing tool, boy, are you missing out. For example, a client loved a draft commercial created with the AI tool but wanted to change some colors. There were limited color options for that template, so we went with a different commercial. I particularly love the brand new AI features, as well as the new lineup of VO options...including accents. That's a fantastic addititon to Waymark. **What do you dislike about Waymark?** What I dislike about Waymark, is that although it is rapidly expanding it's library of options and making updates to the edit features to give the user more control over the overall edit process, this can come across as overwhelming to some clients or even Spectrum Reach employees that are not tech-savvy. For some users, when you give them too many options, it can become too much for them to handle, as they feel the scope of the edit in front of them is now too much to deal with. Perhaps this could be remedied by giving the website an additional, new, alternative client-interface, where instead of listing all the categories and options on the side in small font for the client to click through, the client is instead greeted with a splash page, and easy step by step instructions and drop down boxes to walk them through each step. I realize that there is an FAQ section, and it is indeed very helpful. But again, if a client is not technically inclined, it would be very easy for them to miss on the website. **Recommendations to others considering Waymark:** Waymark is such a wonderful, user friendly, client facing tool that anyone can use. There truly is an option for every business on their site, with more and more options every single month. Plus, with the new AI VO feature, adding a VO is easier than ever! **What problems is Waymark solving and how is that benefiting you?** Waymark has recently added new VO options, with accents, and we recently learned from Waymark that the ability to edit font on an end screen or lower third is coming as well, which is a fantastic option. ### 23. I wish the video templates were more customizable sometimes so you could change small sections of the videos themselves rather than trying to find a whole new template to fit what you need. Waymark is a very efficiant tool to use and overall im impressed. Adding the ability to put the URL instead of the company name was a huge upgrade and makes finding the company a lot easier. I alsp enjoy the variety of voice overs to choose from. I see the changes Waymark has been doing to improve and it has been helping a lot with making videos. **What do you dislike about Waymark?** Wayamrk can be tricky to make certain tweaks. Something ive noticed is the color option can be confusing. It would be helpful if the colors were not linked across the entire video. Sometimes I would like to change one color on a slide but the color is linked to multiple slides makes it impossible to adjust the one color. Waymark could use more variety of stock photos, there is a limitation when it comes to my search. For example, ive searched "construction" and not much will come up. I think it would be really nice if we could have the option to remove text boxes if we did not want to put text in the box. I realize its part of the template but its just a thought. **What problems is Waymark solving and how is that benefiting you?** Problems Wyamark has been solving for me would be the ability to make a commercial for a client that might not have had the budget to do Television in the past. ### 35. I've been an editor for 10+ years. Within 30 minutes of playing around, I made a commercial that could be presented to future clients. I really appreciate how quickly it collects useful elements- logos, website photos. This could be a great tool for bringing in new businesses. **What do you dislike about Waymark?** So far biggest issue has been this: In my opinion, the “global logo” needs to be broken up into 2 separate elements that can be controlled individually. Controls for the logo that is on the bottom corner of the screen throughout, and controls for the logo on the end/open screen. I often use a white logo for the majority of a spot (because it shows up better over multiple backgrounds/video) and use a color or darker logo for the end screen. **What problems is Waymark solving and how is that benefiting you?** I consider the tip about the ColorZilla extention a huge help! Thank you for that! I primarily create promos for my local news station. I enjoy learning new software so I requested to try Waymark out even though it might not directly apply for my daily use. Working on the news side of things, I feel I won't be using this day to day like someone on the commercial side could. This mostly comes down to needing current and authentic footage from our real news anchors. I do not see a way to utilize Waymark for that aspect when from the "news perspective" we need to be more authentic than ever. ### 36. It allows me to adjust voiceovers, manually edit the content within the template the AI selected for me (if needed) and it creates spots for me even quicker than manually going in and selecting a template and inserting all the images and footage from scratch. It is a sales persons' dream! **What do you dislike about Waymark?** While there are so many things i love this tool for, there are a few things that i wish could be improved and some things that i might not be able to use Waymark for, and i have listed them below: 1. There are SO many templates, and finding the right one is really hard to choose without spending so much time going through them one by one 2. Waymark really isn't a fit for bigger clients in my market as they prefer and need a full scale production service that Waymark just cant produce at this time. This tool is super beneficial for small-medium businesses but cant fit the needs for my bigger clients (right now). 3. In the AI tool, when you import your brand and select on how you want the AI to write the script and creative (Professional, Inspiring, Laid Back, Fun), when you preview the spot and template it picked for you, in my experience i sometimes am not happy with that template it selected, so i would like for it to give me an option with a different template. 4. I don't like that i cant adjust certain boxes, shapes or text within a template to rearrange it in a better position within the frame. It would be nice to have this feature as i could provide even better creative that doesn't block the main parts of some of my images or footage. 5. I wish there was a set menu that i could choose from for any template that allowed me to add certain things like a logo, URL, Phone number, disclaimer etc. where the template selected doesnt have these elements included where i want them. **Recommendations to others considering Waymark:** Take your time and be patient. There is a lot to learn about this platform but it is so rewarding and can really help in driving revenue and hitting sales goals. My best piece of advice is to just get in there and play around with everything the tool has to offer in order to familiarize yourself with the capabilities and know what you currently can/cannot do.
