## About WaveMaker
WaveMaker is an Agentic Application Generation Platform designed to accelerate the development of web and mobile applications within enterprise environments. The platform integrates AI agents into a structured development lifecycle to assist teams in building software that adheres to established architectural standards and internal design systems. WaveMaker introduces a specialized system for generating enterprise-grade web and mobile applications using a governed, two-pass architecture. 1. Developer-Governed AI (WaveMaker 12) The platform now integrates SDLC Agents designed to handle specific development tasks—such as UI component construction, API orchestration, and security implementation—within the constraints of a project's existing design system and architectural guardrails. 2. The Two-Pass Generation Model is a structured approach to AI-assisted development that separates creative intent from code execution to ensure architectural consistency: Pass 1 (Agentic Intent): AI agents process Figma designs and natural language to generate a structured, tech-stack-agnostic application markup. This allows developers to verify architectural guardrails before any code is written. Pass 2 (Deterministic Execution): A specialized engine converts the verified markup into production-ready code (e.g., Angular, React, or React Native). This decoupled process eliminates AI hallucinations, maintains enterprise security standards, and ensures predictable LLM costs.

  ### 2. Good for even any Non IT related person to Code and build their App.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prashant . | Software Engineer - II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

You need not know anything about code to start with Wavemaker. I used this way back in college when I was an undergraduate and needed a part-time project. At that time I knew the basics of C and Java and I did not face any big hurdles while using the product.
It helped me create a project to show for in my Second year of college.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

I did not find anything to dislike in the product and as I said earlier, it is a very good platform if you want to create an APP for your small business or want to build a game for yourself. It provides an excellent platform.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing people with less technical capabilities and knowledge to start with Coding and building products, it may not be as furbished as one would like but still, it is a good start.

  ### 3. Thanks for Lifting my career.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2022

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

The way to use all of the languages at one place with ease. It has helped me lift my career from a Manual QA to SDET. I was unsure where to start and took a course where wavemaker was suggested for IDE and I'm glad that I did. I started from small-time code to building full-fledged applications using wavemaker.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

I haven't come across any such vulnerability or trait of this IDE to write.
It's just that I was trying to add python library into it but found it difficult to find the way to do so on my own, had to take help from a youtube video. So I can say that maybe tips , tricks and in-app tutorials may help to people like me.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wavemaker is helping anyone who wants to learn coding or app development or Automation for that case by providing easy interface and in-app features like drag drop to build application using less coding.
One way I used it was to initially create an app using drag drop and then learn how it was made by studying the code.
So I used it to give my career a new flight and I think if I can , then anyone can.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WaveMaker is simplifying the process of developing and deploying apps faster. We do not have to spend too much effort to launch apps and the visual interface with drag and drop is just amazing

  ### 14. A complete low code platform for software development teams trying to build serious applications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francis B. | WME Environment Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

Its installation in our environment went smoothly, with the support of the WaveMaker helpdesk. Its easy-to-grasp graphical user interface aids the solution's administration.

Eight developers were trained to use Wavemaker. They produced 13 business applications spread across different functional domains.

Getting started with Wavemaker is made easy by well-structured, practical documentation, which is regularly updated. In addition, the capacity to choose embedded technologies makes it easier for developers to understand how Wavemaker works.

The CRUD part of the applications is created quickly and easily.

The integration solutions offered correspond to market standards and meet most of our needs (SAML, LDAP, WS Soap, MySQL, PostgreSQL). Prefabs are practical and save time by industrializing our applications' recurrent features. The standard capabilities of WaveMaker allowed the new applications to be integrated smoothly into our environment. Obsolescence management could be tested through the switch from Angular JS to Angular: the transition was well controlled, and adaptation costs were low.

Applications produced are aligned with market standards, responsive and efficient. Load tests carried out on some of them have been successful, and the applications' performance fully meets our expectations.

Pramati's support team has been mostly responsive, and we appreciate our regular exchanges, which contribute to developing the product roadmap.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

1.	An integrated IDE would have been a plus to support the new applications' step-by-step debugging.

2.	Lack of flexibility in managing developments on a corporate GitLab.

3. Some difficulties to integrate the new versions in our environments (we work with an on-prem version)

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were facing the following problems with our traditional approach :
•	Modernization on top of legacy technologies was cumbersome and involved high latency, and existing systems did not support open-source technologies.
•	Existing technologies could not interface natively with other internal and essential systems like SAML and LDAP.
•	Some existing technologies were expensive, and their licensing model was not cost-effective
•	Delay in go-to-market with application updates arising from Government policies and rules that are subject to change over time

WaveMaker offered the following benefits :
•	Development of more than 40+ applications underway, integrations with internal systems made possible, and satisfied users across the board.
•	Visually appealing applications using easy drag and drop UI elements that could also support SOAP-based web services
•	OCSIN is making great strides in its modernization journey with WaveMaker’s open standards-based low-code platform.
•	Some of the critical results achieved so far include: Support for latest technologies like containerization, web services, and SAML Greater economies of scale with developer seat-based licensing
•	Seamless integration with other internal systems like LDAP, EDM via web services, desktop publishing in a native manner
•	Transparent version upgrades on technology changes are now possible
•	8+ completely functional applications have been created and deployed, and all others are being refurbished or developed anew

  ### 15. Best in Class Low Code App development Platform for Java

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bramhanand K. | Associate Process Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2021

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

I love the open code standards supported by WaveMaker. We get Java / Spring / Angular apps as well. Using this app, I achieved great speed in development and deployment as well.
Apart from that, I like the feature we can Kubernetes for all the applications in development, and it helps a lot while moving it to production.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

I am using WaveMaker since 2016, and I didn't face a single issue while using it. Still, WaveMaker can be more productive if they can add native phone applications and more widgets to the app.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

As Low Code Platform, Its meant to be used by developers and prior knowledge of web and mobile app development.
You can jump into the application and try to build some application, and you will love the application and the most loved feature, drag and drop with its fastening speed.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WaveMaker is a really, very good application with the best code standard built-in that helped me in development, code deployment, and it helped me to scale my built application. The Drag and Drop feature is just mind-blowing.

  ### 16. The first low code platform made with developers in mind!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filipe S. | Development team manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

One feature that kept my attention when I first heard about Wavemaker was that it uses open standards. Yes you will end up with a plain Java/Spring/Angular application.
For the majority of our development needs it fits perfectly and boost our development velocity.
Another important consequence of using open standard is that it can fit in your deployment pipeline. We use Kubernetes for all our applications deployment deploying a Wavemaker application to our cluster was very easy.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

IDE synchronization can be hard sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

Wavemaker is one more tool to a good development team. It does not require a developer to learn a new language and it really speeds up development by generating a lot of code that you otherwise needed to write.
Remember that you will end up with a regular Java Spring application!

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of small development requests to do things like a form to request a refund, or a small app to manage contracts, or even an application to generate a certificate.
Using traditional development we used to create an API with Java/PHP and a frontend with REACTjs for it. Not starting from scratch, because we do reuse code, it takes time to have it up and running.
With Wavemaker we spend a session discussing the entities that should support the application requirements and after that we can use the API that is generated and start to develop the frontend.

  ### 17. Low code platforms - A forward looking ways of working

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankush R. | Lead Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

I had recently written a PoV on BizDevOps. It focuses on objectives of having a faster feedback loop between what market needs and how business can make decisions. Adoption of such low code platforms like WaveMaker is the forward looking architecture of the same and achieve the right BizDevOps setup.

Traditionally business used to get involved during beta as the language (code) written by development teams was not understood by them at the instance of writing the same unless it's available visually to them (which is far late in the development cycle). The wavemaker like solution will give a tool to business to look at the code in an understandable flowchart like format to enable them give fast feedback. Many fold use cases are possible due to this. For ex. Deciding what functionality is getting delivered and what is the KPI that it will deliver in production. Considering we work in agile business wants to launch as quickly as possible with a MVP based product focus. Hence making functions visible to businesses as early as possible helps in getting fast feedback and it helps in prioritization of what function is most important to be delivered first and how to limit it etc. in real-time.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

Nothing in particular but any thing which is not working for u can be definitely improved as we want to break shackles of working traditionally.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adoption of faster feedback loop from business team and involvement of them along with dev and ops teams.

  ### 18. Great speed on development. Low effort on devops

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2017

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

Integration with backend RESTful and databases is what we are looking for. We don't need anymore software installation at customer site.
In two months we have completed and delivered custom development projects for our customers. With visual studio we could not have such a speed.
The ability to export the webapp in WAR format, allows those who have already an internal J2EE infrastructure, to start immediately with the developed webapp in minutes. Integration with comoon IDE tools like Intellij is awsome.
The support team is quick on help us in every day.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

I do not dislike Wvameker in any part. Sometimes documentation is not updated, but as a usual user, I contributed to it on Github.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

I recommend others to use Wm because they did not have to install anything....You can start to develop professionally instantly

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My small company did not develope custom software because the webapp were difficult and long. Now we can bring quick results, with responsive webapp, developed for on all devices and intergrated with the rest and sql database....bees ....

  ### 39. Wavemaker is an awesome product !!!!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin R. | Technical Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2016

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

Wavemaker has evolved since its birth to become a solid platform for development. Its flexibility is outstanding but what makes it really awesome is how it speeds up the development lifecycle. There is a learning curve to get started. But if you already know how to code in Java and Javascript then you only need to learn how Wavemaker binds things together. I recently started using WAVELens and was absolutely blown away .......it is just incredible. I can now make changes to my Hybrid mobile application and immediately test them on my device. No need to compile an apk file which I then have to download and then upload to the device AND then upload the test website. The changes are instant!!!!!
I only have to refresh the WAVELens app on my device and boom............its there ready for testing with all the usual console output. Its simply incredible. Oh and did I mention the support >?? It is well above the bar. They really treat you and your application with very careful attention. They are an incredible team.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

The only thing I really disliked has been fixed by WAVELens......what else can I say.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

Try it you will not regret it.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building a complex web application for staff resourcing and scheduling

**Reviewed by:** Andi D. | Petroleum Agreements Director, Oil & Energy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

The best thing, it does offer a very clean interface, and deployed apps just work perfectly!

We can develop applications very fast and make it available to our users on the fly.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

None at all. We are very satisfied with the features WaveMaker offers.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

I would recommend WaveMaker because it is a very easy to use and very completed RAD solution. You just build the apps very fast.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to build from very small apps to more complex ones, that facilitate our employees daily work.

Also, WaveMaker offers powerful security level features for the applications you build, and very easy to use.

  ### 41. Wavemaker rocks!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo M. | Operations Manager, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2016

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

Wavemaker enables us to do much more with fewer headcount and generates pristine code and interface with drag and drop;
We are in an age where we are not isolated programmers anymore, we work in communities and groups that transcend organizational borders; Wavemaker proves it true when renders us a fantastic customer care support that helps us to harvest the most from the tool in a very reduced time span.
At the end, Wavemaker delivers what it claims: the generated code does follow best practices and ultimately enforces ourselves to follow these practices.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

Debugging documentation needs improvement so we could rely less on customer support, but I'm sure this is something Wavemaker will fulfill soon and gracefully.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

We took advantage of already knowing some ancillary frameworks adopted by Wavemaker so, it was also encouraged us adopting Wavemaker. Although not so necessary at first glance, The learning cost for mastering such frameworks should be considered.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are developing a mission critical application in the competitive analysis arena. Wavemaker is our workbench of choice to accomplish that.

  ### 42. Wavemake is by far the best development platform no matter how it is compared.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zarrar S. | Java Developer, Online Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2016

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

Ease of use. Reduction of many third party and add-on software such as DB schema and management tools, security, roles, permissions, aesthetics and theme, API connectors, and so much more. The most important area is the use Java without having to get stuck with boilerplate, and verbose code. Wavemaker reduces code writing by more than 80%.

Deployment is across the board to web, and mobile (iOS, Android). No other platform gives this much. The role of Java is very important as it has widely available libraries, and has matured to become very stable. Other languages have not matured or adopted to the level of Java.

For us, the decision was to move away from module and depencies often associated with WordPress, Drupal and other popular platforms. In addition, .NET and ,many others do not have an IDE that reduces code writing. In order to save time and work within budget we needed a RAD tool to make the deadline. This was only possible with Wavemaker.

The vast number of Java libraries made it seamless to integrate Wavemaker to AWS, CloudFront for our video sharing project. Wavemaker is a vast tool beyond the scope of this review. Try it yourself and see how much time can be saved.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

There is not much to dislike about Wavemaker. Initially the price was a hurdle, but since then Wavemaker has made is affordable for such a great product.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

Highly recommended!!

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of connecting to Amazon Web Services and Cloudfront without having to be tied up to modules and plugins of open source projects.

  ### 43. Faster development using WaveMaker

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2016

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

I like the ease of integration of cloud & deployment of application. The response time of customer service and flexibility of the tools. they are simple and solve common day to day application development requirements.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

Need additional templates and sample applications. this makes it easy and quick to get started with components with no need to read documentation.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

hey i wanted a quick solution that would reduce my frontend development time using modern frameworks that i already knew e.g. javascript. I also wanted the tool to generate both mobile and web. Wavemaker filled that need as i do alot of backend stuff and want a way to quickly build frontend which is not our core focus. That's where wavemaker is shinning and perfectly solving that need. We use wavemaker to quickly build data driven forms, and display processed data to users. And a bonus point is the integration with AWS which is our main backend cloud provider. We run almost entirely on AWS and wavemaker makes it easy to quickly deploy the solution to AWS with one click.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I build alot of backend machine learning algorithms. I use wavemaker to quickly integrate with my APIs on the cloud and share with clients.
I also use wavemaker for quick visualizations and data driven frontends. I have tried the mobile build and looks fantastic.
In total, wavemaker has saved me about 60% of design and coding of frontend applications.

  ### 44. Wavemaker RAD

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

--

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

For myself coming from a different platform the learning curve was slow at the start only due to that the product is using cutting edge technologies.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

You have to check this product out. Once you get their concept of how to build applications you are off to the races.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

modernizing web applications. The wavemaker platform uses the latest HTML5 / Docket based technologies and they keep releasing new version to keep up.

  ### 45. Wavemaker 8.x

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Britt W. | Implementation Consultant, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2016

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

Highly abstracted front-end and back-end support. Great templating features promoting reuse. Browser based and no third party plugins required.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

Really nothing to dislike! - Try it! - You should have a simple app running in less than 1 day.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

Try it!

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed cross-platform support and back-end support for direct SQL connects as well as mature web services in order to extend functionality of a manufacturing ERP package - without modifying the source codes of that package.

  ### 46. Happy Wavemaker Developer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donald R. | Mobile Application Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2016

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

Wavemaker has the best tech support I have ever seen. And the product itself is amazing.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

That it is "Cloud Based", and that I must rely on an internet connection to work on my project. If not for that, I would consider Wavemaker a perfect fit.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

Good Product

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Barcode Scanning, CRM, ERM, Inventory Management, Providing the Fire/EMS Staff with a solution.

  ### 47. Wavemaker - Little Known Hero

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** McCourt C. | Systems Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2016

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

The ease of design and the online IDE are pretty slick.
Easy of integration of data services is amazing, would rival Servoy or File Maker.

I first looked at this when looking for a viable alternative to Servoy.
The data layer was was pricked my interest.
Its very easy to build back end data services to connect with virtually any database.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

Its taken a long time to get to a usable state.
I have been playing with this for over two years.

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

Definitely give it a try.
The data layer is excellent.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are building agile business applications deployed to private cloud for our clients within the Oil and Gas industry.

  ### 48. "Listen, there's a computer inside another computer. "

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael P. | Associate Network Systems Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2014

**What do you like best about WaveMaker?**

Management is super simplified when you don't have to worry about a zillion physical connections. Being able to scale down a datacenter by moving 10 cabinets worth of stuff into about 3 is absolutely brilliant.

There's also the ability to easily scale up.
Need more compute? - add more hosts or (just vMotion your machines to another host host) upgrade existing hosts!
Need more storage? - Add on to your SAN or if you're using vSan, just put more storage on your hosts.

**What do you dislike about WaveMaker?**

The initial investment for licensing can be kind of rough but even compared to Hyper-V's free model, it's totally worth it.
Performance can still be a challenge when using shared storage for applications requiring a lot of IOps

**Recommendations to others considering WaveMaker:**

Take your time with your initial implementation. There's nothing worse than getting everything setup for the first time and realizing you're already over-allocated.
Don't be afraid to push your hosts but, if you can, make sure you've got a good HA solution in place.
When in doubt, talk to your rep about your virtualization plans.
Don't get too carried away - make sure you know how a server or application is going to act once you virtualize it. Have a plan to go V2P if the need arises.

**What problems is WaveMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datacenter management keeps getting easier the more systems we virtualize.
Hardware costs are easier to handle.
Setting up labs is a breeze.
Better server availability with HA and vMotion
Easy to migrate or clone a machine between datacenters.
