What do you like best about Wave Invoicing?

What problems is Wave Invoicing solving and how is that benefiting you?

For me, it was an easy solution to get invoices in front of customers and to have an online way to pay. It also gives me an option to send the invoice via wave or another email app and I can get a copy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Wave Invoicing?

Starting with its clean and easy-to-use interface, the app serves accounting firms, independent accountants, and business owners alike. Its design resembles some of the core functionality of Quickbooks Online, allowing the user to Quote, Convert to Invoice, apply customer payments, and track everything while the process moves forward through the workflow.

I would not say that being free is the best, but it contributes to its score. The best is that besides being free, clean, easy to use, and accounting focused, it allows any business to start in no time. Many good things for free software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wave Invoicing?

The first coming to my mind is the support team saying to the community that they don't have the Spanish version on their roadmap, despite a bunch of user asking for it. Then there is this issue with the main accounts in the chart of accounts not allowing their names to be changed or different groups to be created. I guess that this is still part of its programming ...but dislike very much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Wave Invoicing:

Not in Spanish....only English. Allows Zapier integrations with other apps, so you can expand functionality.

Solved half a dozen customers trying to organize their startup businesses with small budgets and easy to use the software. Took only 1 week to set up main features to be usable....and taught to at least one user...for 4 accounts!

What do you like best about Wave Invoicing?

Wave makes it easy to create professional invoices. Small businesses often have a small support/administrative staff so programs like Wave that make it easy to keep up with administrative tasks with accuracy and easy make a huge difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wave Invoicing?

Unfortunately, Wave still charges a fee for online payments and only allows you to accept payment through its integrated system (no PayPal/Square/etc). However, Wave's fees are reasonable and can be as low as 1.0% if you accept ACH payments. The fees are no higher than PayPal or other major online merchant services so the only inconvenience is that customers may not be as familiar with Wave's payment system as they are with PayPal. What problems is Wave Invoicing solving and how is that benefiting you?

The only tiny issue is that Wave saves *every* item/service which can clog up the auto-populate fields if you have a lot of custom items or services. If possible, try to choose a generic category for your services and then add details to the description field. For instance, don't enter "Consultation on Sept 30th" as an item -- just type "General consultation call" and then add details in the description field. Very minor issue.

Wave invoicing is a great time-saver and has made it easy to keep track of amounts owed and even allows customers to make partial payments which could be very helpful during this pandemic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
