I wouldn't say this is a downside, but having to pay credits for a small amount of data/and small sample from the list is a lot. This is great competitive research and I would use it a lot more often if the price point wasn't so high. I think that Wappalyzer has a feature now that you can pay by credit so that it on a more need basis rather than signing up for an entire plan. I think that makes a lot more sense because I like to use this feature - but I definitely don't have a need for it all the time, its really just when I'm doing research. Wappalyzer is quick and easy while effective in telling you just how someone has configured their website and their tech with just a simple plug-in. It gives an exhaustive list of the technologies it can find that are used by the company's website and offers surety ratings in case it isn't very sure about some of the ones it picked up.
