Wakeman is an AI answering service and AI receptionist for US home-services contractors: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing and restoration shops, and other trades. The shop keeps its business number and forwards the calls its team misses to Wakeman, after hours only or day and night. Every call opens by saying the caller is talking to an AI and that the call is recorded. Wakeman then works out what is wrong, takes the caller's name, number and service address, checks the address, and texts the job to the owner or the on-call technician. For gas, carbon monoxide, fire or smoke, water near electrics, major flooding and sewage, it gives the shop's own safety steps and tries the on-call phone while the caller is still on the line. A caller who asks for a person a second time, is angry or has a complaint is put through to the on-call phone. On Pro and Max, with booking switched on, confirmed jobs go into Jobber. Prices are published: Starter $49/month (100 minutes), Pro $149/month (500 minutes), Max $399/month (1,500 minutes), each with a published per-minute rate for busy weeks and a monthly spend limit the owner sets.
