Guests scan the QR code at their table and the full menu opens in their phone's browser, with nothing to download and no account to create. They order together in one shared cart, filter by allergy or diet, split the bill evenly or by item, tip and pay from their own device using Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa or Mastercard. Orders reach the kitchen display in under a second, with station routing, an expo view and an always-on print fallback for shift changes. Servers carry a smart handheld for tables, orders, guest-call alerts and tap, chip or swipe payments, so staff spend less time taking orders and more time on hospitality. The owner panel covers menus (time-based menu switching, 86'd items, modifier groups, item photos), staff and roles, reporting and multi-location settings. Waitery is bilingual at every touchpoint: guest menu, kitchen tickets and receipts can each be set to English or French per location, with per-province GST/HST/PST/QST handling and itemized digital receipts. Pricing is published in Canadian dollars per location per month. There is no per-terminal or per-screen software fee, so an extra handheld, patio device or kitchen screen does not raise the subscription. A one-time $250 setup fee covers configuration and onboarding. Payment processing is billed separately, as with every provider. Waitery ships and supports its own smart POS hardware Canada-wide: server handhelds, kitchen displays, cashier stations and receipt/kitchen printers, available to buy outright or lease over 48 months with a one-year warranty. Beyond the core POS, Waitery offers commission-free online ordering, DoorDash and Uber Eats orders flowing into the same kitchen queue, and add-ons for inventory, time clock and labour, reservations and waitlist, and catering. Waitery suits independent restaurants, cafés, quick-service operators and multi-location groups in Canada that want published CAD pricing, bilingual service and hardware that is shipped and supported rather than sourced.
